I search a possibility to replace the drivers of a HTC hermes rom with the drivers of the Prophet???
I want use a german rom of hermes. After replace, i try this rom.
can anyone help me???

it is an interesting idea to replace the drivers with those from the Prophet.
Hy should translate a rom if we have an allready translated in our language.
On the other sider, i think tere will be more things to do except change the drivers. Maybe one of the "romgurus" can give you a hint, how to port a hermes rom on the prophet.

Well basicky thats what you'll need to do.... the sys folder is verry much the same for all devices. You will have to port the XIP for that build also... but if that hermes rom is build on a build that is allready for prophet you could probable use that xip.
So mainly you will have to focuse on the OEM folder

For me as a simple man (not a noob) its a miracle how to manage this.
OK it's not my thread but it would be interesting for me too, how this could be done. Maybe, if its not too tricky it could be the easiest way to build roms in native languages, eg. German.

is there nobody out there who coul make this dream about a nativ german rom? Gullum knows what to do but i think i can't manage it.
For the gurus here it can't be a big job, i think.

I can maybe give it a try in a cople of day but I'm verry buissy making Prophet Touch VIII right now and have lots of regular paid work to do too

I think this could become the biggest problem at all.
We all speak Englisch an our native language.
OK Finnish semms to be a fzinating language but not easy to learn.
I'm sure you know someone who speaks both, German and Finnish (i hope so).
But thank you for your helping hand. If someone can make the job it only could be you.

If you gave me the basics, I'll try to finish it!
ok I now have a german version on my phone I'll do some more changes to add homeplug with 6 tabs and make it look like touch VIII then I let someone else work on it
But for now i'll flash back to Crystal V2 beta

I think that I can do it all by myself and might just do that I need someone to translate the cube and some other apps and I can make Prophet touch in several differant languages
Maybe this could become a kind of teamwork
Hi Gullum,
i knew you can do it.
For translating the rest of the apps and cube you maybe can upload them so animelover, me and maybe some other german users can translate them for you and upload the translated files. Its only an idea but it maybe will save a lot of time.
I'm a little under pressure but i'll do my best to help.
Ok here is what I will do I will upload a working german version and the files that need to be translated or just text files so anyone knowing german could translate the text but not all apps will be translated because the have the language build into the exe..
give me a cuple of hours and I'll upload a beta

i used to have a ELF and used Bram's Touch Surface ROM for it. I Tried alot of ROMs and his was by far the smoothest, fastest most responsive ROM for that device. Not taking away from anyother cook at all cause they have done a excellent job and Tom's ROM so far has been really really good, but I am looking foward to Brams.
Good to hear we have a new talented cook on our Niki thread!
Btw Bram, I don't know if this is currently possible, but could you look into making "abc" as the default input method instead of xT9? I really hate xT9 since I prefer doing "text speak" (sms style abbreviated words). Thanks.

The day after I flashed WM6.5 on my Prophet,it became slower and slower,on the contrary,my desktop computer become faster,for I have updated it a few days ago.
My Prophet,such as my close friend,belongs one important thing in my daily life.I'm a cooker from mainland China,I started to flashed my phone since the second month I bought it in April,2007.After my college entrance examination in June,2007,I became crazy at flashing all the new roms I can found all over the world.A young man,called Gullum,gave me some help.I also got some help from the forums in my country,such KK,Consam,XJ,youzi,etc.Thanks all of their hard working,so our Prophet can keep updating from WM5.0 to WM6.5.
Today,my Prophet is become old,and often founded some problem by sudden.I wanna to buy a new phone,such as HD,or Diamond II.I donot know which is more suitable to me.Can you all give me some suggestions?

呵呵，好久没在830区看到中国人了，我一直在这里逗留~
我个人习惯这个论坛的管理操作~特别喜欢这里的人，因为他们的贴子和回贴从来没有废话，可以很容易在贴子中获得需要的知识和解决方法，而国人基本回贴清一色的就几个字，什么“顶”，“支持”等等，没有任何建设性意义...
Personally id buy an HD, just for the screen size, but then im going to say that as i have one hehe..... As for 6.5 on our prophet, the Rom takes up too much storage and requires more hardware than our beloved prophet can reasonably give, even if overclocked.
Also, as this is an english fourm, please also post a translation if speaking in another language.
ps, i sold my prophet with varanus 6.1 manila which imho was the best working rom.

And the Chinese language,some words is useless to others except Chinese people,such as discussed some cookers in China,so that's why I did it.

I am new to this forum, please guide me as much as you all can and I thank you all for the same in advance.
Well am using a HTC Touch P3452 (elf 100) phone, it is a WM 6.x
I have the .Net frame work 3.5 installed in it.
I need some help, as I like to install new kinds of s/w every day and test them.
First I think my Touch Flo or the so called Manila is a 2D can I install a 3D version if YES, link please, if NO, reason please.
Second Can I upgrade this WM 6.x to WM 7 if YES, link please, if NO, reason please.
Third Can I install HTC Cube which version if YES, link please, if NO, reason please.
Fourth I found a s/w xend-red-touchflo can this work in my phone, if YES, link please, if NO, reason please.
Fifth I had some problem with XDA-Wifi-Sharing s/w, I have posted the problem in a related thread, please help by reading my problem and giving me a solution.
I would also be highly obliged if all can send me a mail rather than just replying here so that I can expedite the process with the solutions.

1 . Manila 3d is the 2.5 version or higher, our machines don´t have the requeriments to run it, i think the minime resolution is vga, ours is qvga .
2. WP7 need minimum 1ghz processor, we have 208 mhz. Elf only can upgrade up to wm 6.5.5, but if you want, can install some interface with skins like wp7 with this thread:http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=649362, we use qvga version. there is other skins but for me this is the better.
If you want upgrade your device read this thread, this is the rom i use Onyx 6 rc14 with wm 6.5.5, really is faster than original rom. i recomend it http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=426540

Ok another thing mate, how to upgrade to WM 6.5.5, I guess my Elf is running on WM 6.1, am I right, or wrong, I guess this is the WM version which comes originally right.... Can you give me the link to upgrade it to WM6.5.5
