Help With Touch Pro Screen - Touch Pro, Fuze ROM Development

Hi guys, i'm having a probelm with my cell phone screen. I had a Boxwave screen protector on that i took off yesterday. As soon i took it off, i noticed under "white light", that there appears to be some sort of deposit in form of square shape in the middle of the phone screen . Now this is wierd because wiping off the screen doesnt do anything. If i stayed under "ÿellow light" this "deposit is not visible". Ive tried cleaning with soap and water, but its still there. I also tried 70% isopropyl alcohol all to no avail. I dont think its inside the screen, because i havent dropped it in water or nothing. Anyone had any experience with this or any ideas??

[Q] Screen problems. Hardware or software?

HTC legend. Screen behave very strangely.
When you turn phone on its kind a OK, but in some time strange things happen.
Some parts of screen are unresponding. Or for example if you slide at the bottom of the screen it acts as if you pull status bar down.
Some times every touch tries to pull status bar down. But then again it will be normal.
Is that a hardware or software problem.
I tried hard reset too, didnt help. So is it screen itself then?
I would change it, but still not sure about it. Why its not bad all the time?
Thanks for all the help.
Search for TouchRecalibrate in Market maybe that helps.

hardware i'm afraid.
had the same problem after my phone got wet along with me in bat-****-crazy storm.
you don't need to replace the lcd, just the digitizer.
i picked one up off ebay for £10.
the replacement process is kinda scary in places - mainly prising the digitizer off the lcd.
if you're still under warranty and the damage wasn't obviously caused by yourself (that includes getting water inside the casing - the water residue gives it away unfortunately) i'd flash back to stock and rma it.
Well I thought it will be digitizer too.
Already ordered one. And yes, my missus dropped it in to a toilet after just 2 months since she bought it new. Just didn't had time to get to it till now. And warranty doesn't apply for this
She should have bough same like me - Defy

[Q] Hardware problem with screen

Hello,
in party I accidentaly dropeed my phone from third floor and it turned off, some parts flew away (mine's X10 mini, not pro)..
I collected everyting, tried to turn it on, it vibrated, but no image were displayed, just backlight.
I opened it, checked all wires (i don't know how you call that thin wires, that goes from screen to motherboard) - everything is ok.
But still no results - not working - just turns on, but screen not showing anything - just backlight glowing.
Any idead how to fix?

Um... I think that warranty does not apply on damage caused by customer itself. You'll have to send it to repair, with a risk to pay, even if you have stock rom/kernel, I think.

you're true!! obviously if they see a screen crashed if you want it new, you'll have to pay... but i thought this buddy says his mini looks good but doesn't work... he can try anyway... in my case it falls on the floor but not so high, and I think it caused my problem... maybe not! maybe it was a fault in my touchscreen and that's why I got it reppaired for free... He can try anyway...

[Q] [GO] Water Damage, Screen Flickering. Solution

Hi guys,
I took my Go out for a swim and after my swim, the screen started to flicker and eventually the screen died(yes, all the flaps were closed, I double checked). Now this was last month, and I did the whole rice bag thing, and still no improvement :3 But occasionally the screen comes back to life when I tap on it and then dies again.. And last week, I just happened to switch on the phone and it started working like nothing ever happened! And yesterday it stopped working again I took it to the Sony store and they say that it might take about 400RM(120USD) to fix it.. Is there anything that I can do to fix this??
Try to have it tested for water resistance, if a machine test shows leaks even after cleaning the caps it's not your fault (at least if $ony follows their service manuals to the letter)
You can open the screws up in the back and manually troubleshoot what is up with it. Check it for any water or moisture on the inside or any damage from it. Good luck

@Hukanawa
Did you switch it off the instant it got wet. Using the internally wet phone could damage the main board which could be causing the problems.
Or the screen could have been screwed up...

I did switch it off after the screen started flickering :/.. I opened her up today and theres a a little of rust on one of the connectors that lead from the screen to the board..
Well there you go. Youre gonna have to get new parts or fix the old ones.
Try removing the rust from the connector, then fully drying the insides and see if the screen turns on if you moove the connector around. Also check ebay for the price of a new screen. It might be cheaper then you think.

After water damage my xperia z3 having the same problem! Screen flickering, brightness is very low I can barely see anything in daylight! Otherwise everything working fine! Any idea what might causing the problem? Is it the screen or the motherboard is damaged?

Problems after battery replacement

Hi there xda.
I gave my phone to replace the battery. To a service that claims they know what they do. Everything was looking good after I got the phone back after an hour.
I left the city so I got to use a satnav and after a while I've noticed a yellow splash on the bottom left of the LCD. It gets more yellow when the phone heats up, and gets less yellow when it cools down, but it's still visible.
I decided to take it apart and the yellow splash/dot immediately disappear.
I've returned to the service but they ofc claim they did nothing wrong.
So I've got a question for you guys, what could they do wrong. When I took the phone apart, I've noticed a curbed cu metal plate over the battery, and got nothing under the battery, between the battery and the lcd. Sth should be there to isolate the battery from LCD or what?
Any help would be appreciated.
Thx in advance

feels bad for this brother. That may b because they hit the screen with a punch aur may b it Being pressed hardly.. even it may b they replaced your screen with old or used one rather than battery
well, the screen looks like the same, the glass has the same scratches.
so if they pushed it to hard or sth, there is really nothing i can do.

Hi, it may be that they damaged the flex cable for the screen, since my cellphone also heats up but the screen is ok .

it might be that it gets a bad display after it heats upa a bit, i'll try to add some copper by myself to isolate the heat between battery and screen/cables

Touchscreen ghost touches(screen flickering)

Hey guys, recently I had my Z2 sent to a service shop because it wasn't turning on or charging. The guy at the shop said that it was the battery fault and he changed it, but he also told me that the screen was not working( flickering, ghost touches, unable to work on it). So he put my old battery on and when I went home the phone actually turned on and booted up, but still I had the screen problem. So whenever I touch the screen it doesn't respond and it touches by itself. Tried putting it on rice for 20 hours, dried with a hairdryer and assembled dissamssebled the screen jacks, still the problems wasn't fix. Do I really need to change the whole LCD or is this a problem that can be fixed?

Yes, you have to change the screen, or more precisely, the digitializer.
But since the LCD and the digitialier come in one-piece, you have to change it as a whole, but at a much lower price, as your screen can be sold again and recycle the good LCD panel.

So replacing the LCD would fix the problem right? That's great then because I found an LCD with a very low price (20$), completely new on ebay and I sucessfuly dissassembled the old LCD out of the phone. I'm gonna buy it as soon as possible. Thanks man.
