Home Screen Date location. (Sprint) - Touch Pro CDMA

I'm trying to find a way to move the date on the main page of TouchFlo 3D up to the left side of the top curtain, I guess like the stock HTC ROM would have it.
I've seen screen caps that make it look like it can be done on the Sprint Touch Pro, but the one program I found that said it could do it (TF3D Configuration), doesn't do anything.
I'm curious if there is a registry key for this?
Seems the word "date" is rather generic when it comes to searches.
Thanks for reading.

I am curious about this too but for a different reason, I want to be able to put the whole date spelled out centered on the top curtain like "Saturday, December 6 2008" without it clipping the end of the words off.

i can't find anything on this either (found this thread in a search)
the TF3D config doesn't seem to do anything, the date remains below the time. is there any way to move it to the upper left on a sprint ROM?

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\State\DateTimeate
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\WelcomeCenter\0409\SetDateTime:name
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Todayate
Keys-i am not sure I see options for placement in the registry

My Date is in the top left corner of my screen...it's been that way for so long I forgot if that's where it started originally on the stock sprint rom but now that I think about it...I think it changed when I messed with the clock or got rid of the sprint icon on the top right of the screen...maybe if you look for those you'll find something about it!

you have to mod the home.mode9_manila file to do so!!

4,imgfstonb new.bin korand.nb new.nb
now i can enter the today screen sucessfully but all provxml files are not executed when hard reset,so the security policy is strict and cannot install any cabs or sync.i don't know why bcoz the dump dir wokrs fine with old.nb

The reason your phone can't boot is because the cecompr.dll in your XIP doesn't support LZX compressed. you have to use the same XIP (or make a proper port with the same cecompr.dll as Korand rom).
Hope it helped
if you Hexedit imgfs.bin and change the XPR to LZX your new imgfs will be LZX compressed.
thanks very much!
i don't know how to port xip,so i decide to use your crystal.nb as nb template.but why provxml files not executed when hard reset.the dump folder works fine with the old nb file.so i think it's something related to the xip of new nb.
i tried to process the provxml after cold init,retrieve error 0x80004005(unsepecified error)

[Q] iGO Primo POI icons

I put a new POI list into my iGO Primo. But they appear on the map all having the same symbol (a globe) and it's hard to differentiate one from the other. Is there a way to change the icons of POIs? Can I find somewhere a tutorial for that?
Thanks for replies.
Hi,
I have not yet found a way to alter the icons in the map providers .poi files but have managed on my own poi.
I have put kml file in userdata/poi and bmp in userdata/usericon.
If you are using Primo 1.1 you need to edit each kml file as follows
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
<kml xmlns="web.opengis.net/kml/2.2" xmlns:gx="web.google.com/kml/ext/2.2" xmlns:kml="web.opengis.net/kml/2.2" xmlns:atom="web.w3.org/2005/Atom">
<Document>
<name>BP</name>
<metadata><igoicon><filename>BP.bmp</filename></igoicon></metadata>
<Placemark>
<name>Dolans FS</name>
The line in red needs to be added and the name in blue changed according to the kml file.
Hope this helps
Keith
PS same change in Primo 1.0 but its in a different format which I do not have on this PC. Also as new member cant post with links so change web in yellow to http/www
I have tryed to prepare next for Primo 2.0...but no success
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>

(Q) Change HW Keyboard Layout on 4.0.2.A.0.42

Hey Guys,
Im opening this topic here as Im not allowed yet to post in development section.
I recently flashed my SK17i with the newest firmware.
Now the HW keyboard is in qwerty layout.
Anyone knows how to change it back to qwertz?
I tried the terminal tutorial and the Rom Manager app from the thread in development section, but both dont work for me. Even after rebooting layout stays qwerty...
Sent from my SK17i
pal follow this method
h/w keyboard fix
root your phone, mount sys as writable, copy & change the xml file just using the notepad. after this paste it again.
path given in the above thread.
Phone is already rooted.
What exactly do I have to change in the xml file?
I guess it is what the "busybox sed... " command would do?
But what do I change in that file if I do it manually?
I already looked at that file but I dont really get how it works...
Would be great if someone would tell me in more detail.
Thanks
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="qwertz"/>
<Script name="cyrillic" keylayout="cyrillic"/>
<Script name="greek" keylayout="greek"/>
<Script name="hebrew" keylayout="hebrew"/>
<Script name="latin" keylayout="qwertz"/>
<Script name="thai" keylayout="thai"/>
</Keyprint>
This is what is in the file right now. Layout is qwerty.
So what am I to change to get qwertz?
Sent from my SK17i
if you have root explorer, you dont need use command line.
copy keyprint.xml on your sd-card
edit keyprint.xml with notepad++ (or other)
replace qwerty by which you want (azerty, qwertz...)
save file
now, copy keyprint.xml from your sdcard and replace/erase keyprint.xml in system/...
restart your phone
done
I used es file explorer to do this job , thus below mentioned steps are according to that
# root your phone
# open es file explorer & grant root access & mount system as writable from settings menu (see attached screenshot)
# now go to the following path - system/usr/keyboard-config & copy keyprint.xml to your sd card & move it to your desktop for edit (you can edit from your phone also if you have any editor for it) [to go to system folder press the star icon on top left hand side of the window of es file explorer]
# modify the latin line - <Script name="latin" keylayout="your region lang"/>
# save the xml file & put it back to the system folder. restart your phone. & voila!! you got your usual keyboard
I hope it helps
I know how to edit files and use root explorer thats not the problem.
But I dont know what (else) to change in the xml file. I postet its contents in my post above.
As you can see it already states latin = qwertz. still the layout is qwerty.
The term qwerty does not even show up anywhere in that file...
I also rebooted quite some times now
Is there maybe another thing which has to be edited?
upload your original xml file & let us know which firmware you used in your phone
As hotdude said the only thing you needed to change is the latin line
Your xml file is not correct beacause you have "<?xml version="1.0" encoding="qwertz"/>"
instead of <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?/>
look mine :
Code:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
<Keyprint>
<Script name="arabic" keylayout="arabic"/>
<Script name="cyrillic" keylayout="cyrillic"/>
<Script name="greek" keylayout="greek"/>
<Script name="hebrew" keylayout="hebrew"/>
<Script name="latin" keylayout="azerty"/>
<Script name="thai" keylayout="thai"/>
</Keyprint>
just replace azerty by qwertz
Still no luck...
The file looks like this now:
Code:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
<Keyprint>
<Script name="cyrillic" keylayout="cyrillic"/>
<Script name="greek" keylayout="greek"/>
<Script name="hebrew" keylayout="hebrew"/>
<Script name="latin" keylayout="qwertz"/>
<Script name="thai" keylayout="thai"/>
</Keyprint>
But still got qwerty layout...
I even tried to backup qwerty-en.xml file and replace it with renamed qwertz.xml but still no change in Layout...
Of course I rebooted after every change I made.
I guess I will have to take a look into the older german firmware how it is done there...
EDIT: Firmware is the Generic Trade United Kingdom 4.0.2.A.0.42 from Wotan Server.
That's weird i have the same firmware (the UK one from wotan)
my physical keyboard is azerty when change the xml file to qwertz it's working
Edit: Your code is still not correct remove the "/" from this line :
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?/>
Hope for you it will work
The "/" was just a typo it is not in the actual file on the phone...
Could you be so kind to upload your complete .xml keyprint.xml file?
Maybe I messed mine up somehow...
Thank you very much.
Yes
I uploaded the keyboard-config folder in attachement
The Arabic line is missing the XML file, perhaps that's the cause that the ycript isn't running properly? I've just changed my layout from qwerty-dk back to qwertz without problems.
Thank you so much peexl
My .xml file was really messed up.
Mine looked like:
<Script name="latin" keylayout="qwertz"/>
And the correct version is:
<Script keylayout="qwertz" name="latin"/>
Dont know how it got that wrong as it was that way for every language, maybe something was not flashed right...
But anyhow IT WORKS NOW
Thanks to everyone who posted to help
and special thanks to peexl for posting your files ^^

[Q] iGo Primo & Loquendo TTS for Android

Hello,
There are way too many versions of iGo all over the internet and I have tried several ones. It looks like iGo folder structure is shared across many platforms and the .apk for Android is the one that manages its interactions with the OS.
I managed to get iGo and LoquendoTTS (v7, I guess) installed on my phone and they both seems to work fine, except for one problem. Whatever language/voice I select inside iGo has no effect to the TextToSpeach engine. In other words, it will ALWAYS get the system default language/voice. Why is that?
Let me be more specific: I want my phone language to be set to English, but I need iGo use the TTS engine in Brazilian Portuguese. If I set phone language to English, then I enter iGo and choose a Portuguese voice, the TTS sound will be spoken in Portuguese words, but with English pronounciation and voice. On the other hand, if I choose Portuguese in Android's settings then Portuguese in iGo, everything is spoken in Portuguese.
It seems to be an iGo problem, not Android's. Every other app I have that uses TTS will allow me to select the language/voice to be used, except for iGo.
I found out a few things:
1) Loquendo installs its language/voice settings to its default folder (usually /sdcard/LoquendoTTS/) and here is an example:
Portuguese.ttsconf
(Loquendo TTS Language - Brazilian Portuguese)

As you can see, iGo voice file has redundant settings to tell the system which language/voice to use.
The thing is: I tried a lot of combinations to these settings, but none got to work. I wonder why.
My only guess was to assume that these settings are specific iGo For WinCE, not for Android. As for I've heard WinCE comes with a loq_tts subfolder with some .dll and .exe files to make the LoquendoTTS engine to work.
Is anyone capable of giving me some directions on this? I am totally lost.
Thanks in advance.
