Hi all,
I have been seeing some sellers selling the 1500 - 1530mAH batteries for the Touch HD.
Would like to know if someone tried them? Also, i am game to try them, but is there a software which can test and tell if the battery is actually a 1500 or 1530 one, or is it just 1350 stock battery with false numbers on the top!?
Thanks.

Got myself a 1500 mah battry from ebay.
it's working, but can not say/tell you if its really better.

Please do post your reviews of the battery after you use it a few days, THANKS!

I would advice you to stay away from -same size as the original- batteries "named" 1500/1530 mAh.
They are fake and from my experience they are either 1340 mAh as the original or even less!!!
Wait for the extended ones.... i believe in a few months they will be widely available....

Perhaps you are right. However, I've had very good luck buying higher capacity "standard sized" batteries from Mugen. I used them in the iMate Jam, HTC Prophet and the HTC Trinity. In my experience I did indeed get around 20% more battery life from them. Some of them were lithium polymer which is also lighter than the standard battery while having a higher capacity. So far Mugen hasn't offered one for the HD, but I'll be getting one when they do.

I have just got a High capacity battery, see following post

Extra Battery

Where do we buy an extra battery for the HTC TyTN? (or Dopod, O2 Hermes...)
It is really frustrating that HTC doesnt seem to market any of these...
TyTN extra batteries are available
http://www.gpsforless.co.uk/product_details.php?id=4633
or here http://www.expansys.com/product.asp?code=138243&asource=HTC_TYTN_VP
wow prices are arounr $50-60 + shipping, pretty steep. I think i will hold out for a while
TyTN battery available on eBay now
http://cgi.ebay.com/Replacement-Bat...ryZ75446QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
I bought the extra battery from eXpansys. Be advised that this is a slightly different battery than the one that came with your TyTN:
Stock battery: HERM161, 1350 mA
Replacement battery: HERM160, 1300 mA
I can't honestly say if I've seen a difference between the two batteries, but you should be aware of the difference!
------------
A final word to the wise on buying the eXpansys spare:
http://www.expansys.com/product.asp?code=138243&asource=HTC_TYTN_VP
The text description says it's a 1350 mA battery, but if you zoom in on the picture, you'll see that it's actually a 1300 mA HERM160 battery... and that's what they sent me!

goestoeleven,
I ordered mine a few days ago and it will probably be the same battery. Does it work well on the TyTN and how did you get it charged?
Thanks.
I can only charge one battery at a time (the one inside the phone)...
Hence my rant on the thread about Cradles without extra battery slots...

I got my battery but it has been more than 24 hours and the red light is still on for charging. How long did it take for you? Thanks.
Initially I just charged it for a few hours. It behaved exactly the same as the original stock battery.
It's my second battery and I still cannot get it to charge -- the red light is on for days whether I try AC power or hooked into the PC via USB.
The battery cannot be bad so it must be my HTC TyTN. Any ideas what I need to look at in the battery comparment?
Thanks.

This red red light no charge business not just with TyTn batteries but several other phones and different battery types. Usually occurs with a problem with feedback from cells in battery to the charging circuit. Most oftgen there is no real fault with either battery or phone. It normally occurs if the battery is allowed to completely discharge. I am not aware of an easy fix, except I have faced the problem myself and with original battery. Also had it with another LG phone. On these occasions I got them to work eventually by several times plugging and unplugging charger lead and also taking battery out of phone for ten minutes then reinserting worked once. All a bit hap hazard but they always worked eventually and once going worked fine after that.
Good luck
Mike

[Q] X10 mini replacing battery

Guys please help me i want to replace my battery of x10 mini... I know it's internal but it's easy enough to get it out... But here is the deal what's the model of the battery can we find it on ebay? or can we fit any kind of battery (e.g. bst-38) and with some own patent to stuck the three cables?
I don't think you can take it out I opened the whole phone up and it seemed it was stuck on the board.. also you wont be able to use any other battery as the device would probably come up with unknown battery type..

For mini pro?
Give us some good news!
Thank you!
Yeah, sorry. I have the mini pro.
Battery is BST-38.
I've been charging the stock battery every 48 hours and it usually has 10 - 16 percent charge left. The main reason for it lasting this long is simply leaving data traffic off unless I need it (usually only turn it on to check my 3 call charges). During this 48 hour period, I have used wifi for up to 3 hours and bluetooth for up to 4 hours. Previously when I left data traffic on, I would charge the battery every 24 hours.
Got 60 hours out of it. Used wifi for 2 hours and no bluetooth.
Can I use this battery with my xperia mini?
Sorry, not familiar with the mini battery. I have read that it's not removeable. The mini pro can be inserted, removed or replaced whenever you feel like it.
i see, so the thread starter had already sold his phone for N8

As far I know, it's quite the opposite. Li-ion batteries do not have "memory effect". In fact, letting the battery fully discharge wastes a life cycle. However, it is advisable after 20/30 charges, to perform fully discharge/charge to re-calibrate the measurements. Some says that if battery stays between 40% and 60% of charge is the ideal (due to factors such as temperature, etc.).
I don't know if to keep changing batteries may affect the pins. But as long you keep using the batteries regularly its fine. Just don't let your batteries unused for a long time.
Thanks both, but if you were to buy one which would you choose?

I don't trust 3rd party battery manufacturers anymore. I bought a couple Hyperion batteries with my Note. The batteries were supposed to be 2600 mah but it turns out they were really 1500. I have also had this same problem with another manufacturer that everyone said was good. I don't trust them anymore. I bought a genuine Samsung battery. One other thing to note, if you want to use NFC, you will need the Samsung battery.

I found out because several people on various boards pulled the original label on the battery and saw the real mah size. This seems to be a problem with a lot of 3rd party batteries. You really do get what you pay for. The battery did work but did not last anywhere as long as the original. I also do not believe the batteries harmed my phone in any way.
Well you got 2 pcs of that hyperion batt right? so that makes equals to 1 good battery lol
I've also gave up hope on 3rd party batteries after a lot of testing and analysing with a real battery analyzer. For example, the genuine cell in a SGN specified to 1750mAh measured 1690mAh which is well within margins. The same for genuine Nokia cells. A well known 3rd party battery manufacturer has this "super mega xl" cell specified to x000mAh but turned out just at x300mAh which is really bad. The internal resistance also appears to be worse on most 3rd party cells.

Just an FYI.* I finally got the battery, touch slow for postage. Took about 3 weeks.
Anyway build quality on first impressions seems good, nice finish.*
Doesn’t have a strong click but nevertheless does connect the phone nice and secure.
I got the cover without a front flip section.
I used to have a galaxy so this phone is heavier by comparison but I’m used to the extra weight now however have to admit, this does make it a fair bit heavier.
Button on the case for charging is easy to use.
My drawback is the website clearly says data support is available but when I checked with the seller, they confirmed this isn’t the case and will be amending the website shortly.
If you can get passed the weight issue and increased bulkiness its overall pretty good just without data sync
Sent from my Z2
@Haldi4803
I have tested the battery, over all I concur that it is built well for the price (I got it for ~$20). However there are a few issues:
- The real battery capacity is approximately 75-80% of the Z2's battery. It charges the Z2 to about 80% total from full to empty so the capacity is more like 2600 mAh.
- The input and output currents are lower than what the Z2 can charge. It can charge at 0.8A and discharge at 1A which is not terrible but does take significantly more time (50% longer) compared to charging the Z2 normally.
I'm happy with the purchase due to the convenience of being able to charge the phone untethered whenever I want to prolong the built-in battery life. Usually I snap the battery in when I need to charge and take it off to charge it separately afterwards.
thx for the answers.
that seems logical you cant charge a 3000mAh battery with another 3000mAh to 100%, you will lose something inbetween.
Lucky i don't really use my phone much, so i get 3-4 days with low usage and the normal battery ^^
I'm extremely happy with my purchase price. I complained because their site clearly says data sync supported but it's not. They offered 30%. I advised still nothappy because site misleading so they gave me full refund and let me keep the product so for free it's fantastic lol.

Hello, what about charging this case?
On brando.com ist that you must charge case and phone separately.
On some Chinese pages is that you can charge case connected to phone - phone will be charge first and than case.
Got the 4500mAh version now, why? Because it's supposed to charge the device at 1A

The case has a button so whilst your phone may always be connected it doesnt mean its using the case power so it never charges both at the same time. When you connect the charge cable to the case it will charge the case if its turned on or charge the phone when the case is turned off

Junk battery most likely. Best stock sized replacements are anker. Last time I looked you could get 2 for $20 plus external charger.
Sent from my LG-D851 using XDA-Developers mobile app
polarcell is also a great replacement battery ya know
After flashing away very happily I got a similar problem and it happened literally from one day to the other. I flashed the kdz firmware with lg flash tool and the problem went away, I got my 4h SOT back.
I opened the thread below regarding this a few days ago in case you want to check it.

Battery Life
Battery Life depends from a lot of facts.
Often it is stored too long (see manufacturing date) ore comes deeply discharged.
In the last case it loose capacity very fast. State of charge should be 10 % ore more.
Its a orginal battery.
Date is 2015-08-02.
is there a good brand battery?
