There is newer ROM from Cingular, but I don't know how to unlock device. Have also this ROM inside.

that i dont know im a cdma model and explore more with that i just knew offhand the website to get the stock RUU'si would however venture over to the evo 3d gsm development page and search from there they would be able to better assist you...here is the link for you

Yes, it will work since they use the same bands. However, as "petard" notes, there is no unlock currently available for the AT&T version.
