You know, the one thing that would tip me over the contribution threshold would be to get MS Voice Command 1.6 to install on my Ameo/WM6. Every time, I get to the point where I am asked where to install it (device, sdcard, or microdrive, all with 60mb+ free), choose "device", then see the first block of the installer's progress bar. After a short delay, it tells me "Unable to install Voice Command due to insufficient space or insufficient permissions. Free additional device storage space and try again." The try-agains are pretty old now, each storage device blowing out the same way.
Annoyingly, it worked on AP Touch 2.0. More annoyingly, it does this with both my purchased copy, and those backup copies you may find at the less reputable windows mobile websites.
Any ideas of a workaround? I'm lost without VC on this device. Any rom cookers have any idea if a certificate or something is required, or omitted from the rom? Has anyone else managed to get it to successfully work?
TIA(DIA!)

Are you installing from the PC or PDA using cab file? I have no problem with MSVC 1.6 and my x7500. I do install from the cab file on my pda, not from my pc..
If not using cab file, try putting the cab file on your pda and installing from there.
My MSVC and plantronics 510 work without any issues at all. Works great!
i had a similar issue with a few of my programs.but i solved it by doing a soft reset and that did the trick.im currently running a htc x7501 with pk 3,msvv 1.6 and motorola s9 w/no issues.hth
Hi guys,
as always, thanks for all the assistance you guys throw out... always a nice place to be.
Cyberon is ... well, you get what you pay for. It's joyless. I have no friends, so I need MSVC to have some dialogue in my life. "Play Media" I cry! "What would you like to play, by artis-" "BY ARTIST!" "Play Unknown, Unknown, Unknown, Podcast, Unknown, Unknown or Unknown?" "UNKNOWN!" and off it goes, my breezeblock of a phone still in my bag, people around me solidly convinced of my extensive social network.
Anyway. Installation. I looked into the Cyberon page you mentioned, Irus (thanks!), and there's some registry cleaning stuff around there. I'm going to try that, on the off-chance it's blocking the voice command install.
(if anyone's watching, had great success with the sony ericsson HBH-DS970 and HBH-DS980 headsets... handle stereo, voice command over bluetooth, and shows incoming ring numbers. Apparently both 'multipair' with different devices, but not played with it too much yet... only downside is they charge with SE's proprietary new chargers)
Eagle, yes, it's off the cab file. I am trying my original exe installer, the original cab, and a couple of warm versions I've seen around the place. None of 'em like it. Soft reset, reboot, power off... everything short of a hard reset.
Maybe I'll backup, hard-reset, and try installing to a clean v3 install. Gotta say, after playing with v2 of this rom, I was suffering. Hard reset and restore every few days. Other than this VC install issue (which may not even be a rom issue, it may be some other cruft I installed later), this rom is rock-solid, responsive, and reliable. It's the first time I've been on a WM device and felt like I could both count on it, and get some work done too. Top marks to the whole team (shuffles off to donate... )
HARD RESET and it works!
Baffling. So... do I uninstall things till I find the problem? Or reinstall from a hard reset (considering I've *only* just resolved 5 days of inactive sync grief...)
oh... donations to Athena Project on their way. Spend wisely!
hi davernee,
I have ms vc 1.6 running with pk 3.0. installed first pk, than adobe reader 2.0 followed by pk add-ons and finally ms vc.
no probs with installation. just needed to install th pk 1.0 fix for ms vc tgo get it running through headset. now working nearly perfect.

I had some problems with UK english version of voice command initially then it suddenly started working after a fresh ROM build.
It may be that installing jetware (name from memory) bluetooth tools helped this work, but it continued to work after removing them so I'm not sure if this was a co-incidence.
I didn't have to make any registry changes.
I'm using a jawbone headset and a plantronics 590. Both work fine with VC except that sometimes it is difficlt to get the 590 to trigger VC. I think it needs a double click rather than a single click.
Thanks for the feedback, everybody... maybe something misfired while I was setting it up the first time. Hard reset cleaned it all up, everything reinstalled, WMDC working (touch wood), backed up. Hope that helps anyone in a similar situation - hint: keep all your installation cabs and keys in a folder on your microdrive.

A reboot was all it took for me - these dual profile sony headsets seem a lot better with sharing music streaming and using voice command out of the box. I used to use a motorola stereo headset, but once the music started, voice command was gone... was on a WM5 though.
Never needed fixes or 3rd party tools. HBH-DS980 ( http://www.sonyericsson.com/spg.jsp...1&template=pp4_1_1&zone=pp&lm=pp4_1&pid=10895 ) if you're interested...
I just flashed my phone after a lengthy process of changing the bootloader and going through all the steps on the wiki and ended up with windows mobile 6.1 and dcd's 3.1.6 rom. I thought everything was going great, until I tried to download follow a link to the google maps download I got in a text message. The page wouldn't load and the phone gave me an error that said that I had no service provider or something for internet access.
I have sprint sero and before today I had excellent 3g internet access. Now however, trying to navigate to web pages is impossible. However, my phone and sms and other sprint services still work, just not data transfer.
Also, I installed google maps through usb and the map functionality worked fine (which is strange because it's supposed to rely on internet access to get map information from the google servers). Maps would render fine and I could even search up directions from and to locations. However, when I tried to use the gps function, it failed to work just like it did before I flashed my mogul. It took me to what I assume to be the intersection of the prime meridian and the equator off the coast of africa.
This is very troublesome because the reason I flashed my firmware in the first place was to gain gps access!
My gps is configured exactly as outlined in the gps faq post on this forum, so it's not a configuration problem.
I'm extremely confused right now and I'd really appreciate it if someone explained these problems to me.
Just going out on a limb...did you install the Sprint carrier cab?
No... Why?
I'm guessing I should've?
Link?
I sometimes wonder if people read the first post of the kitchen's thread, or if they just click download and go at it...
i think we need a pens/wings link banner on the top as a "friendly reminder" to install the carrier cab....it really is amazing that people are willing to do this to their phones without paying attention and making sure they have everything right.

You dont have wireless carrier data service because you didnt install the carrier cab. This much I guess you already know now from the posts above. But to explain how google maps worked when you were connected to USB even though your wireless internet(data) was down is easy to explain. When you are connected by USB, the PC supplies internet capability to the Titan by activesync "pass down". This is normal and it is how activesync is supposed to work. It allows you to get data from an exchange server (synchronize) whenever you set your PPC in the cradle (or connect via USB).
Its quite a handy feature and allows you to use the internet on your titan even if you dont have wireless or WIFI access to the internet.
its kind of my fault for separating it. i was working on a startup script to prompt for carrier and automatically install, but i scrapped it. i will work on it more when i have time.
Thank you maccaberry for the informative and cordial reply.
That makes sense actually, as now that I'm not connecting my phone to my pc google maps fails to work.
So where can I get the sprint carrier cab download? I searched the xda wiki and google but found nothing.
http://www.lifesnotsogood.com/dcd1182/titan/carriers/dcd Titan Carrier - Sprint.cab
I have a question about this one too. I had been on dcd's 3.0.4 ROM and 3.35 Radio, with a 2.00 PRI and 60611 PRL. After upgrading everying to 3.1.6, 3.39.10, 2.03.003, and 60711 (plus the Sprint carrier cab), I now have the GPS off the coast of Africa problem. I had this problem with earlier ROM versions, but had to upgrade to fix it. Not sure what I can do now.
I am using GoogleMaps, which I know doesn't need to prime the GPS first. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
EDIT: Nevermind. It is working now. Tempermental phone perhaps. Also, now that it is working, I tried to see if I could get a lock indoors like others, but I can't. Those that can, must be nice.
Thank you Santehnik!
I've got the carrier cab installed and the data's working just fine now.
The gps function for google maps is still broken though..
Maybe I'm just having the same problem kockroach had. Kockroach, how did you fix your gps? Or did it just start working on its own?
Also, does anyone know where I can download windows live messenger? The app was missing on dcd's rom, but I actually need it for contact information retrieval.

3.16 was the first time I used UC, and it works great (except for cabs that require user info on install- this affects thing like Skyfire and Wireless Sync), so I would suggest people read up on it from the UC link in the first post of the 3.16 thread, at least to install their carrier cab. Next time around I'm going to try and use it for reg edits and file copies as well, since that's my last frontier for autoinstall. UC is slow, but its great to just sit and let it happen, instead of manually doing it.

Cabs that require input are easy....all you do is add a few commands before and after the CAB command like this:
Code:
LOCK:Enabled
CAB: \Storage Card\Cabs\regularcab.cab
CAB: \Storage Card\Cabs\regularcab.cab
LOCK:Disabled
HIDE:Enabled
CAB: \Storage Card\Cabs\userinputcab.cab
HIDE:Disabled
LOCK:Enabled
CAB: \Storage Card\Cabs\regularcab.cab
CAB: \Storage Card\Cabs\regularcab.cab
LOCK:Disabled
RST: Reset
Currently I have everything done via UC. I use three provxml files, one for registry, one for file operations, and one for email. If anyone wants to see my files for reference let me know.
1. In my SDConfig.txt setup, I have all the cabs listed one after another. In yours, do the HIDE commands temporarily bring the user input screen to the front, and then continue? If so, does HIDE have to be enabled/disable for each such cab, or can you enable, do a few cabs in a row that require input, and then disable again?
Also, I have one program, Pocket Plus, which requires a soft reset. I just put it last in the file and then rebooted manually. Is there a command to allow reset and then continue with UC?
2. I for one would like to see your SDConfig with the provxml files used for reg edits, as this would finish things off for me. It seems the more time that goes by the more regedits I add, and it really is time consuming.
Sorry for OT on this, but the UC thread is enormous. Thanks!

Adapter program to enable assisted GPS on the Verizon xv6800 "MR1" (WM 6.1) ROM
I've written up a program that will enable the use of assisted GPS on the MR1 Verizon ROM. This may be of use to you if you do not want to use a custom ROM, -or- you cannot get GPS working on a custom ROM.
Note: This method does not currently work on dcd's releases. My code has only been verified to work on the Verizion MR1 ROM. I believe this is because the Sprint GPS intermediate driver does not support the DRM/locked down GPS functionality required to talk to gpsOne once the firmware has been programmed for locked down GPS mode.
You can always flash back to MR1 from a custom ROM. If you already have GPS working on your custom ROM, this is probably not necessary, and you should keep your existing ROM.
A cab installer (courtsey of gc14) can be found here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=111774&d=1220913180. Note that due to a bug in the .cab file, you cannot automatically uninstall the cab, but you can just manually delete the files that it installs (see below to discover which files those include).
Otherwise, you can manually install the program, as detailed below.
The installation of my GPS adapter is a bit complicated right now, and this is a fairly beta release. I have only tested it with Google Maps. However, it should work with any GPS-enabled program that can use the standard GPSAPI.dll functions.
Note that your GPS program must be configured to use Windows-managed GPS and not an explicit COM port. My adapter module does not support the NMEA serial interface, only the "cooked" GPSAPI.dll interface. Notably, the HTC GPC Test program uses the NMEA COM port interface, and will not work with the GPS adapter.
The GPS adapter system consists of several parts under the hood:
- gpssrv.exe, a program that I wrote which understands how to decrypt GPS data from the chipset when it is operating in locked down GPS mode. This program acts as an intermediary server, through which all GPS clients can indirectly access location information.
- gpsapi.dll, a replacement for the OS-level gpsapi.dll. The replacement DLL communicates with gpssrv.exe to retrieve positioning information. This model allows multiple programs to receive GPS data at the same time, as the locked down GPS interface only supports one concurrent user.
- oemgpsOne.dll, a modified version of the Verizon oemgpsOne.dll module for communicating with the gpsOne chipset driver.
- stdgps.dll, a copy of the standard OS gpsapi.dll. Due to limitations in Windows CE, this needs to have a different name than the replacement gpsap.dll. It is otherwise identical to the shipping version of gpsapi.dll.
To install the GPS adapter, you should grab the program files at the following URL:
http://www.nynaeve.net/Skywing/xv6800gps/gpsserver.zip
Currently, there's no CAB installer, so all of the installation must be done manually. Sorry. A CAB may come later on, if someone feels like doing the work to build one for me.
After extracting the zip onto your device, follow these instructions:
1. Create a "\Program Files\GPSServer" directory on your device.
2. Copy gpssrv.exe, oemgpsOne.dll, and stdgps.dll to "\Program Files\GPSServer".
3. Copy gpsapi.dll into the directory where your GPS program resides. For example, "\Program Files\GoogleMaps".
Optionally, you can copy gpsapi.dll to your \Windows directory instead of the directory for the main .exe of your chosen GPS application. This may be more reliable, as if something loads the Windows-supplied gpsapi.dll before the custom gpsapi.dll, things will break. Doing this is slightly more complicated.
To (optionally) copy the new gpsapi.dll to your \Windows directory, you may use these steps:
1. Rename gpsapi.dll to something else (e.g. "gpsapix.dll").
2. Copy the renamed gpsapi.dll to \Windows
3. Rename the renamed gpsapi.dll in \Windows back to gpsapi.dll.
The renaming juggling is necessary as File Explorer will otherwise refuse to supersede an XIP ROM file. You can simply delete \Windows\gpsapi.dll after doing these steps to revert back to the standard Windows gpsapi.dll, without having to hard reset your device, although this will again break GPS for you.
After that, you should be able to start your GPS program (e.g. Google Maps) and receive location data. Note that being inside in a shielded location may impede the process of acquiring a GPS fix. Also, to gain the benefit of assisted GPS mode, you need to have an active cell data connection, and you should not be connected to ActiveSync or Wi-Fi.
There are some registry settings that you can create on the device to tweak how the GPS adapter functions:
REG_SZ HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Valhalla Legends\GPSServer\ServerPath = "Path to gpssrv.exe". Defaults to "\Program Files\GPSServer\gpssrv.exe" if not set.
REG_DWORD HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Valhalla Legends\GPSServer\AllowDeviceStateChange = 0/1. Defaults to 0 if not set. If set to 1, then gpsapi.dll will send device state change notifications to your GPS program. Some programs appear to have buggy GPS handling (Google Maps in particular), and will break if this option is set.
REG_DWORD HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Valhalla Legends\GPSServer\PDEAddress = IP address of the PDE to use. Defaults to 0x845FAE42.
REG_DWORD HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Valhalla Legends\GPSServer\PDEPort = Port number for the PDE. Defaults to 8888.
REG_DWORD HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Valhalla Legends\GPSServer\Mode = gpsOne mode to set. Defaults to 2.
REG_DWORD HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Valhalla Legends\GPSServer\QoSAccuracy = Relative fix accuracy requested. Defaults to 64. (Max of 255, higher values request a more accurate fix, but this may increase the time to acquire a fix.)
REG_DWORD HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Valhalla Legends\GPSServer\QoSPerformance = QoS performance flag. Defaults to 10. As to what effect this has on the gpsOne chipset, I'm not entirely certain yet. Debugging reveals that the value internally is called the QoS performance value, hence the name. The meaning of this value is likely buried in some gpsOne technical document that I have not found yet.
REG_DWORD HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Valhalla Legends\GPSServer\FixInterval = Time, in milliseconds, between requests to the gpsOne chipset for an updated GPS fix. Defaults to 1000.
The default values should work fine, so you don't need to bother with the registry values unless you really want to. Most of the defaults were gathered by researching the settings that VZ Navigator uses internally.
---
Program compatibility list:
---
- Only programs that use GPSAPI.dll and not a COM port will work with the adapter. Most GPS programs will support using GPSAPI.dll.
- Google Maps will function if you configure it such that the GPS setting is set to "Managed by Windows". This is the default setting. Also, remember to check "Use GPS" in the menu when you start Google Maps, in order to enable GPS inside of Google Maps.
- Live Search will function if you configure it such that the GPS setting is set to "GPS Intermediate Driver". This is the default setting.
- HTC GPS Tool will not work properly, as it can only use a COM port.
- If you want to use VZ Navigator after having installed the GPS adapter, then you need to place oemgpsOne.dll and stdgps.dll in \Windows.
---
Other notes:
- The GPS adater does not enable free use of VZ Navigator. It only allows third party programs that are designed to talk to the standard Windows Mobile GPSAPI.dll interface to operate on the xv6800 MR1 ROM.
- You do not need to manually start gpssrv.exe. When a program loads the custom gpsapi.dll and requests a position fix, gpssrv.exe will be automatically started on demand to power up the gpsOne hardware and start acquiring position data. It will automatically turn off the gpsOne hardware and exit on its own 60 seconds after there are no programs open that are still requesting a GPS fix.
---
Troubleshooting:
Here are some steps that you can take if you are having problems getting things to work.
1) Make sure that you're on the Verizion MR1 ROM and not a third party custom ROM, or the original release Verizion ROM.
2) Make sure that your Location setting is set to "LOCATION ON" and not "911 ONLY" in your Phone > Services > Location settings.
3) Make sure that your GPS program is configured to use Windows-managed GPS or "GPS Intermediate Driver", and not a specific COM port.
4) Give the following test program a try, to verify that GPS is working in general. The test program does not require the GPS adapter to run. If the test program can receive GPS data, then either the GPS adapter program is not installed correctly, or your GPS-enabled application is not configured properly. If the test program cannot receive GPS data, then you have a different problem (perhaps your location option is still set to 911 only?). Test program link: http://www.nynaeve.net/Skywing/xv6800gps/gpstest.zip

Downloading now but awfully slow.
I will also work on a cab install for you too.
Steve
so this is just a modified version of the Verizon GPS driver?
I was wondering if it would be possible to OEM that into one of the Custom ROMS through the kitchen and making it work without a hitch (assuming this program replaces those bad .dll files)
No, it's a bunch of new code that I wrote that understands how to decrypt the obfuscated GPS data returned by the Verizon GPS driver, when the firmware is in locked down GPS mode.
Posted a new version (updated gpssrv.exe and gpsapi.dll, be sure to update both files when you upgrade).
This release fixes compatibility with Windows Live Search, adds support for caching position across API calls (required for some GPS programs), and fixes a number of bugs.
Please let me know if you have any issues with it.

I use Iguidance that requires me to choose a port. How would I tell it to use the above method? There is an option to search for a gps. Should I try to find it that way?
The gpssrv.exe file, does it need to be run at some point?
If the program can only do NMEA serial, then it's not going to work, unfortunately. Reimplementing the virtual serial port interface is much more complicated to do on my end than reimplementing the GPSAPI.dll interface.
If your program has an "automatic", "use Windows settings", or "GPS Intermediate Driver" option, those options would typically mean that the GPSAPI.dll functions instead of NMEA serial will be used (if selected).
Doesn't work...
If anyone gets this to work with Iguidance v4.0 PLEASE let me know!!
I just wanted to say great work to Skywing. I dont have any gps problems anymore, but I must commend you for coming up with solutions to help.

You might try and see if you get location data returned by Google Maps, which will work if you do not configure it to use a specific COM port.
I just downloaded the adapter zip and followed the instructions to a "T" and was able to get a lock on some sat's using GPS Viewer, but spent an hour or better trying to get GOOGLE maps or LIVE Search to work and neither one could get a lock on any sat's... Any ideas?
Thanks,
GA MADMAN
Are you certain that you placed gpsapi.dll in \Windows or in the directory with GoogleMaps.exe?
Other things to check:
- Make sure location is enabled in your phone setting. I assume that you have already done this, however.
- Make sure that Google Maps has the GPS confiugration set to "Managed by Windows".
Skywing,
Thanks for posting this software. I look forward to using it. I am convinced that mine is not working because I have not replaced the file in the \Windows folder.
I cannot rename it, I am using Total Commander.
I am convinced that I cannot rename it because something is using it.
I have a pretty basic install of XV6800 with MR1. Just a couple of programs installed.
Any advice on how to rename the file?
Thanks
New build did not get put up properly; this has been remedied. Please re-grab the .zip if you had previously downloaded it before this message, and then update all of the files.
Note that you need to completely delete the gpsapi.dll in \Windows and then do the renaming trick again, otherwise, File Explorer will claim to copy the new file over, but it will actually delete it and switch to the ROM version.

No idea about using Total Commander for it. You can use the (cumbersome, but working) steps I posted with the built in File Explorer (fexplore.exe) program. Those steps are confirmed to work.
Downloaded the app.
Works perfectly.
Thank You!
I also followed each step and my XV6800 is unable to get a GPS location in either Google maps or Live search.
THANK YOU!
Thank you for the amazing tool!!! This has my MR1 ROM running GPS fast and efficiently. Let me know if I can be of any assistance... I have access to some webhosting space and other resources to keep this project alive if needed.

Your right. The thread that covers the application explains the fix. Its becuase those apps are access the comport still instead of the Windows Mobile daemon(?) for GPS. You need to install a third party app that will grab the de-obfuscated data and redirect it to a soft comport that these apps will use. The program that was recommend was called Franson GPS gate. It will take the data and reroutes it to another "Com port"
All of the details are in the Adapter thread. Check it out around page 18 or so...
I got it working great for me but its just too much crap to get GPS when you can flash to a custom ROM and not have to worry about two third party apps.
Eitherway, good luck.
Custom roms are great, i've used them almost since I bought the 6800.If I want verizon to upgrade me to a better phone, I need to log complaints against the stock rom. using these little tricks keeps the phone serviceable at any given time while affording me a semi "custom" rom feel that I have grown accustomed to.
any sugestions
i cant get the gps to wirk in tomtom still even using gps gate so could anyone recomend a good rom i would love to keep all the functions of the stock wm6.1 but have gps features as well.

What happens?
Even using gps gate the gps doesnt lock on my position. i get 5 to 8 satalites but then cant pinpoint where i am. There is a huge standared diviation when i look up my location upward of 100000 feet. google maps uses the same gps and port but knows exactly where i am.
I found the navigon mobile software to work quite well. Acquire it as you see fit. Mostly works with European maps but US are available. Im using Mobile Navigator 6.XX. cant remember. Got screwed by verizon and bought iPhone. but i will still offer advice. After contract is up if verizon can shape up i can get an android capable phone if they offer it.
I ask two things in providing these SYS files and ROMs.
1.) If you post a mirror, state that it is a mirror, and link to the first page of this thread.
2.) If you find errors in the SYS files I have provided, and you fix them, please report back to me via PM which SYS you have, when you Downloaded it (because they may get updated), and Exactly what was done to fix the error. This way I can make the corrections, give you credit, and update the files for everyone else.
Okay folks, here's a new thread to break up some of the Chaos. I am currently breaking down everything for Build 21195 and I will do my best to keep things organized (as far as links to builds) in the first three posts. This way, we don't have to search around to find a particular RUU link. These Builds are designed for the Titan and for Verizon. If you are not on Verizon, load up the DCD Carrier CAB for your carrier. Many thanks go out to the countless individuals and teams that have played a role in educating me as well as releasing some great builds for WM6.x.
I use XIP's compiled by dan-htc-touch (PPCGeeks).
If it weren't for members like Mr. Free (XDA/PPCGeeks), Drellisdee (PPCGeeks), Conflipper (PPCGeeks), GC14 (XDA-for the Arcsoft CABs we had to use in the beginning of this project), and countless other members here on XDA-Developers, over on PPCGeeks, HTCGeeks, and other Windows Mobile sites all over the world, many of us wouldn't be where we are now....Beta Testing.
Remember, these are all Beta Releases of a potentially unstable OS. It is very possible that they could get you in over your head. I am providing these builds for testing purposes only, and I am not responsible for any damage that may result from your actions of using these files. You do so at your own risk.
All links contain a RARed RUU and a txt file that lists what OEMs were added. Just to help you follow along. There are a couple of extras I throw in that are not stock to the builds, but are needed for edits and testing purposes. These include, but are not limited to: Total Commander (File Explorer), nueExtROM, nuePerformance, and the Network Plug-in. These were not designed for these builds, but have ran for me and I use them in my testing. You may use them if I post manual fixes to get you by until the next release.

http://www.4shared.com/file/109225437/e4909d65/RUU_signedBBS21728.html
*This is not my ROM. I did not build or assist with any part of this ROM. I am currently testing it and it seems pretty quick and has some interesting features in it.
*Be sure to thank <bbsandkm> over at PPCGeeks for this one. ( http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showpost.php?p=915678&postcount=3890 )
THE BUILD 21725 RELEASES BELOW HAVE ISSUES WITH THE CAMERA WORKING. TRY THE CAMERA FIX FROM POST #2 IF YOU ACTUALLY USE THE TITAN'S CAMERA. OTHERWISE, THE CAMERA ISSUE IS BEING WORKED ON BY THEPPCKITCHEN TEAM AND OTHERS.

Titan_FDE_21725_Base_Sprint
*Built for Verizon and Sprint users respectively.
*Must install Arcsoft manually.
*Comparible to the 21501 Release as far as add-ons.
*Has Extended ROM.
*I have a new PROVXML in this release. Wireless Manager, Battery Settings, Version Number, Ring/Vibrate....attempting to correct all previous issues we have had right away. Not alil settings are taking effect right away, it seems a couple Soft Resets are in order, but after 1-2 Soft Resets, it looks like life is good.
*Now labeled as "FDE_21725" (Force Developments Edition) instead of "Force_21725."
*The Start menu from <bbsandkim> has been modified to remove the Hexegons, but the 4/5 row Start Menu in this release is otherwise their's.

Due to unknown conflicts with files pertaining to the Sprint Carrier OEM, I have decided to pull this build until the issue can be resolved. Sprint users (and other carriers), please flash the Verizon CAB and load your DCD Carier cab if needed. Sorry for the inconvenience.
***Microsoft MyPhone has been reported and confirm to be non functional. Please download and install the Microsoft MyPhone CAB to correct this issue*** (Thanks to <mattsm> for providing the cab file)
*This is nothing like you are used to! Thanks to the hard work of <Colonel00> and the PPCKitchens team, we have managed to add the WM7 Titanium Project to this ROM.
*Thanks to <mattsm> (XDA) for his hard work in helping me test and fix a number of issues. And also for helping to get the Battery/Memory gauges into a fully functional OEM. Great work!
*You will need to manually run Showaco's Titanium Weather and manually insert various files to get the weather app to look right. Download this package: Showaco Titanium Weather_v4.2 Update for WM7 Project.rar , it has the cab installer for Showco's Titanium Weather v4.2 (latest) and the various files to intigrate it into the WM7 Project. An Instructions.txt file is included, follow it and you will be on your way!
*Replaced the dialer, and we have TierAuto Install back again. Oh, and check out your new default ringtone good for a grin at least. It is my default ringtone on my phone.
*Go to the Start Menu, run "ATContacts" and close it. This will cure the issue for your "Fave People" pane on the Today screen.
*Do not install a different CHome Config tool. It may screw up the WM7 Project and leave you having to reflash. There is a devoted CHome Config tool in your Start Menu.
Titan_FDE_21806
*This is a link to my folder on Media Fire. There are 3 ROM's (Base, Beta 1.0, and Beta 1.0 WM7). These ROMS have been tested to see if they boot and nothing else. They are provided so y'all have something to play with if you are having flashing withdrawls while I am away this week. I CANNOT BUILD ANY ROMs THIS WEEK. SORRY.

Re: WM 6.5 Kitchen QVGA and VGA Developer Edition
ok after looking a my works 2003 exchange server there are a lot of things that could be giving errors im looking in to all of these as we speak hang tight with this there are some add-on's that are needed im looking all the errors i got today
but here is this you can do a domain enroll and sync that way and could use active sync with out look that is attached to a domain
here look at this site it explains it in detail http://support.microsoft.com/kb/292066

Ok, I set it up to sync against my personal exchange 2003 server (I found a 25 licence on ebay for almost nothing about 2 years ago) with build 1.2 of 21193, I got the same exact error. Here's how it all went down... for the test here (oh, and 21195 is out, update to that version plz for the next build)..
1. Setup on PC, set up to sync against my server (I am on the local domain in my home), it seemed to sync mail and I was able to select my folders to sync.
2. Make sure I am fully sync'ed....all good here...all mail is on the 6800 as requested
3. Disconnect from PC, connect via VZW internet and sync again..
4. Activesync on WM said it sync'ed fine (checked time difference).
5. Logged in to 3rd party mail to send a test mail to my account on my exchange server.
6. Heard test e-mail arrived on my desktop. Attempt to sync again, active sync error 0x80070057...Pull 3 hairs out of my head..
Nope, does not work, I know my 2003 Exchange server very well, This is a problem with this build, I have been syncing for a long time from WM 5.0 (when 5.0 was new)

You cannot add Nitrous Oxide to an engine with with 2 dead cylinders and expect it to run 9's in the quarter mile. So why add features to an OS that isn't running at 100% yet?....It isn't logical.

Yoda,
What does this have to do with exchange ? I looked up Domain Enroll (never had to use on a WM device so I didn't know too much about it), You need Microsoft's System Center Mobile Device Manager 2008 (MDM) to be able to Enroll a WM deivce to the domain, from what I have read.
One of the places I read about it...
http://pdaphonehome.com/forums/samsung-sch-i760/115091-wm-6-1-domain-enrollment.html
I hope you figure out something on this, I know I am behind with a old 2003 Exchange server but, a lot of us need to be able to sync here.
I thank you for your efforts here !!!
exchange 2003 (behind in times)
dont read in to the title but here is my thoughts on this yes to domain enroll can be done but major problem is this for it to work right you need a vpn from exchange server but you also have to have it linked with server 2003 witch is a another part you have to have the device setting in the AD right for the phone for it to sync right if not you will get a comm error unable to connect witch is what i was getting this after noon now on the other hand looking at the set up it is really simple just have to make sure you have the server client active sync plug in and service turned on in the MMC console and have all the setting for the plug ins im going to be doing more work with this tomorrow i work for a medical foundation that is looking at going from a blackberry server to a wm and we are going to be getting like 200 new HTC phones so i have to get this figured out as well
Just installed
I'm definitely liking this build much more so than previous ones, runs alot smoother, could use a little more free ram, but hey, it's a beta so I'm not really stressing that, I'll just use it bare bones for now to get a feel.
One of the first things I've noticed is that for some reason, running the alignment screen makes my mogul freeze up, I have to soft reset to get out of that, the default setting is accurate enough for now though so not that big of a deal at the moment, I'm not really a power user but I definitely use enough of the features to be able to give some good input...I guess more to come stay tuned....
great work, keep it coming.
Missing files for proper build
Please review Post #3 regularly. I will be posting files that I am missing to complete build 21195. I can already see there are some changes in 21195 by looking at the SYS. There are new files. If you locate any of the files in RED, please ZIP the files and post them. Once the correct files have been located, I will change the file name in post #3 to GREEN and place the member's name next to the located file. This is to ensure all those involved get credit for their efforts in building 21195.
Thanks.
ok, I have to stop playing with this, I need to have another life besides living on these 2 sites....
Anyway, as for 21193 1.2, No games ? No Voice control app ? (I know there was a newer version of the voice control app in PPCkitchen that you didn't have to train)

Don't take any offence to what I said....Exchange 2003 is still current in most companies I have worked in...
As for behind in times, I can't count how many times I have been doing work on domains (migrations, active directory issues, etc) and find old NT 4 servers and even a working Exchange 5.5 (do you remember that ? ) setup in a sub domain someplace...
Ah, blackberry to WM....fun, fun, fun.... Did you have a part of that ?
Contacts x2 and Transparency Start menu
Just wanted to see if any luck with fixes yet? Also in 21193 WMP library on mine is acting a little funny. Screen flashes some
Thanks a million for the hard work.
21198
Build 21198 XIP and SYS are being downloaded as I type. 21195 Beta 1 will be posted in the first post before I have 21198 up and going. These builds are coming pretty quick now. The word on PPCGeeks right now is that 21198 works with Exchange 2003.....off to find files and get this thing going.....and they say nothing good comes of being unemployed! Back to work, you folks are waiting.

It's been said Exchange 2003 works with 21195 now...
http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showpost.php?p=797671&postcount=1695
Wow, we were just discussing last night if you wanted to drop 21193 and move on to 21195, now 21198 ? If you didn't start 21195 already, I would of said to skip over it.
I wonder what will be be here in a few days....
Is this a bug or setting ? On 1.2 21193, as we know as this point activesync with Exchange 2003 does not work. So I went into Activesync on the device and put Sync During to Manually for Peak/Off peak.
So, it's not syncing correcty what happens is every time I pull the phone out of my pocket, it's connected to the data network (it keeps trying to sync, even tho I set it to manual sync only). It atempts but does not disconnect, so it's always on.
I don't mind being connected to the internet all the time but, if I miss it and do not disconnect it, My battery goes from lasting 2 days to 4-5 hours.
I'm not kidding, when I was on 21169, my battery life was bad, really bad (I'd be charging the phone 2-3 times a day because of it), to the point where I removed the password to the data network so it would not connect to it just to get most of the day out of the battery (and it would still pop up all the time asking for the network password).
Any idea ?

I'm not sure. Like I said before, I don't even use Exchange. But at anypoint in time, you can open up the Task Manager and see ActiveSync running. Even after I manually close the app. It has been this way on every 6.5 build I have flashed to my phone. (And don't ask how many, because I haven't the slightest clue...but it's a lot of flashes.)
Yesterday when I took the boy to the zoo, I unplugged the phone at about 8:30 in the morning, and the battery lasted until 8 at night when I got back to the house. I had my data connected and AIM, Yahoo Messenger, and MSN signed in and running, and my email accounts (Live, Yahoo, and Gmail) all set to the most frequent retrieval setting. The only time during the day that I was plugged into the car charger was on my way to and from the zoo, which was about a 30 minute drive. In the beginning (21139, 21159, and 21169) I found that IE was causing a major drain on the battery. I haven't noticed it as much since IE was fixed somewhere along the way (21176 I believe.) I tested this theory by putting the IE from 21176 into 21159 Beta 5, and I got better battery life.
Anyway, I just RARed up 21195. the translation is almost complete oother than the 3 files I listed in Post #3. I am off to work on 21198 now and see what we have there. Will post with any updates. As of right now, the list in post #3 is for 21195. If I locate any files I need in 21198, I will make sure you guys can tell which build I am missing which files for in Post #3.
a bit more on exchange 2003:
i enabled verbose logging
obvious things are
User-Agent: MSFT-PPC/5.2.1003 from mr2
User-Agent: MSFT-PPC/5.2.5000 from 21193
also
MS-ASProtocolVersion: 2.5 from mr2
MS-ASProtocolVersion: 14.0 from 21193
ms-asprotocolversion 14.0?????????
i cant find that in the registry to change back to 2.5 can someone tell me what key its getting that from?
exchange 2003
ok every one that is having the connection problem
well it is simple there are 2 ways to connect and one program needed
first off you have to set up your active sync right
go to active sync and go to the tools drop down menu
go to options in there it gives you the option to add exchange
click on the Microsoft exchange and click on settings
it gives you the access to add your log on credentials
and you will be able to add your information for your server names and ip address
but remember you have to enroll your wm device before doing that
by adding it to the server and also setting the user accounts in Active D
and also needing to make sure you have your wifi set up so you can us wireless sync and you should be good to go and jsut remember if you are testing this on a live server to make sure you back up all contacts and test and e-mails before syncing and or befor you enroll in the domain that way you do no lose any thing the ver of 21193 beta 1.2 i am running has no problems syncing with exchange and is vary stable thanks to the long hrs of work from my self and tplane 37
any more questions send me a pm and i will try and help
