This ROM is based on the 21028 core, but with all the new goodies from the newly announced Rhodium device. The new Manila interface, new HTC menus, new notifications system. Most bugs are known, so don't report them in thread anymore. This is more of a test version to get a preview of the new Rhodium Manila, xboxmod is working on. He was kind of enough to release the new updated and resized Manila files to be used in this ROM and beta test. Thank you.
Changelog for 2.2 beta:
- Using a new XIP and SYS core 21028 generously provided by Arrupenthal
Changelog for 2.1 beta:
- Alarm clock on Manila issue fixed
- Pictures tab resized
- Audio tab resized
- Scrolling in Settings tab fixed
- Scrolling in Arrange Tabs fixed
- New Internet Tab with built in Google search feature and "Push Internet"
- New Rhodium Menu Enhancement
- Fixed Album full screen menu issue
- New Rhodium Comm Manager
- LOTS more Rhodium OEM packages
Known Bugs:
- Some Manila tabs and pages aren't resized yet.
- You can't make calls from the People tab using the shortcuts under the pictures.
- Facebook upload picture in the Album might not work
- YouTube might not play sound, but will display video.
- Adding bookmarks in the Internet tab doesn't work.
- Facebook status in Contacts doesn't work.
A few more that I will post later.
Screenshots:
So the agps stuff from the leaked fuze ROM isn't included?
Either way, it seems like the upgrade is more than worth it (if not somewhat necessary).
Thx!

With all these fixes, Im super excited to see what this rom can do. NRG could you maybe post on the first thread issues yet to be dealt with? I know this is a beta but I would like to have an idea of where we are.
man, I need to get a life
How sad is it that I'm sitting here clicking the 'Refresh' button every 20 seconds, hoping that a download link magically appears in the OP?
@NRG
Being as though the 'bugs are known' with the Rhodium Manila port, and it still being incomplete, is there anything that we actually should report? I think most of us are aware of the issues with the 21018 build (ActiveSync, specifically), but in order for the thread to be as useful/helpful as possible, I thought I'd ask, in order to keep the useless posts and flaming to a minimum.
In 2.0 and 1.5 I have been unable to assign "Programs" tab to the right softkey. Previously I've used TouchPro Tweak or SecondToday to do this, but it won't save the change in these new rom versions. Any workaround for this?

Hi, I'm using the 2.0 beta and loving it. Great job on getting so many niggles out with this build.
Cheeky request: I really don't like the taskbar items. I feel like they kinda detract from the clean look of the device. Is there a way I can get rid of them? I found the taskbar thread and can restore most of them to normal HTC/WM icons using DLL's, but some of them still stay colourfull. I can't find replacement DLL's for things like A2DP/SMS icons.
Cheers

Quick Question, Does this include the new Tabs Editing Feature and render the Diamond's TF3d Config useless? or do the tweaks still apply, ergo does this render all UC Cabs useless (such as your blue manila .can and the wallpaper for all tabs cab?)

If you guys don't mind some registry editing, grab yourselves Mobile Registry Editor (or just use total command), and check "HKLM\Software\HTC\Manila" and maybe "HKCU\Software\HTC\Manila." You'll see loads of stuff there you can try.
For example, if you want to assign the right softkey to Programs tab, you'd change the value of "HomeRSKPath" to "Manila://programs.page" and "HomeRSKText" to "Programs." I personally have it set to "Manila://weather.page" since I don't use the programs tab (check out wktask that has a really useful launcher that pops up when you swipe down the top right corner).
And there's all tabs background cab for the new manila somewhere in the previous thread.

Hello all, going to be dipping my hands into ROM cooking, and I wanted to get a few opinions on the matter. I have my own ideas on what I want to include, but I would like to get the opinions of some the users that may be utilizing it on what you may prefer.
1) What would you like the source to be? (10c that amberhome uses seems to be pretty stable, but I am open to suggestions)
2) What would be your preferred home screen replacement? (Please only free ones, or ones that have a free version)
3) What kind of tools would you like included?
4) Any other apps you would like baked in?
Any other comments or suggestions are welcome, this is not just my ROM, but will be others as well
I think that Lg's Launcher should be replaced with LauncherPro.
lg's launcher tends to be laggy with the xtra stuff they implement.. please stick with lp or equivalent.
As of now, I am thinking about putting Launcher Pro + vLauncher in. I am a big fan so far of vLaunchers app drawer.
Umm.. launcherPro is more preferable for me. JIT enable + hardware acceleration enabled. For the source can u make another 1 for the Asia version because i stay at singapore

By what people tell here, the roms are equal,it only changes locales or operators,so guess V10a would be good, because it is unbranded.
But if this theory is wrong, just go for V10c.

The only things that I replaced in V10a and that "for me" make sense to be put on a rom are:
Fancy widget - instead of the LG original one, because it shows the battery percentage.
Compass
GPS Status
Bar Code Scanner
Advanced Task Killer
AndroZip
Astro File Manager

maybe google reader and skyfire (for the ones that are always asking for flash support for this phone).
Oh and of course this tweak
Another important thing is what shouldn't be removed...
A thing that could be good is if you and corwin42 could work together, because amberhome v1.1 is a good rom,it just needs some things sorted out,and two guys work faster than one most of the times

wide language support will be welcomed, so try to compare it and you will see. It's not necessary to have everything because of its size, but it should be possible install next languages like chinese, czech, franch and so one. Most better solution to keep rom as small as possible - include only english and provide mechanism to select/download others.

Android 2.3 Gingerbread
http://lifehacker.com/5707296/screenshot-tour-of-android-23-gingerbread-and-its-best-new-features
Also, ATM I am working on getting the modded kernel for the Optimus S (at least parts of it) working for Optimus T versions at the very least, which is the P509. Don't know weather any of it will be applicable to other P50x series, but I would like this to be in any ROM I release.
Hopefully by then others will have 2.3 hacked apart... and then... much fun will be had by all.
BTW anybody handy at sifting through source and with knowledge of arm cpu's feel free to contact me, any help or differing eyes/opinions would be greatly appreciated.
+ 1 Gingerbread!
Yes black notification bar would be greatly apprecaited.. and song shuffle with long press of volume +- keys would be a great addition...
Black status bar, circle battery with %, launcher pro, root.
It would be also nice to have gingerbread and fastboot.
A ROM like Kang-O-Rama would be great, I use this on my Nexus One and love it.

Closing this one....
So I searched all over the net and I cant find the answers I was looking for.
I have a few questions about the features on the 4.4 rom.
1. Where are the hybrid options?
2. Why are there fewer battery icons?
3. How to add new pannels?
Also deleting the last icon removes that whole pannel instead of leaving it blank.
Other than that rom is smooth as butter!!
1.Not available, since they follow PA(paranoid android) to release hybrid for pa 4.4 so they can test it on pac 4.4 and merge it..
2.I don't know why are there less battery icons but it can be a work-in-progress since the ROM itself is work-in-progress and not complete, you can find new features here: http://review.pac-rom.com/
3. New pannels? I hope you mean new tiles on status bar quick settings, it's easy to add more tiles or change layout go to settings > pac pellets > quick settings panel > tiles and layout > add (you can add and rearrange tiles in here)

Alright thank you!
Haha yea I guess I should've been more specific about the last one.
On the home page the different screens I referred to as panels. So whenever you delete the last item off that screen it disappears. So my question was if that was supposed to happen and if there was any way to keep them there?

Yes that is supposed to happen in kitkat, no you can't keep them unless you fill the homepage with icons, there isn't much customization options available for the launcher except rows and columns you have to use another launcher for now.

Ok awesome thanks a lot!
Maybe I'm just guily of believing something I "read somewhere on the internet," but I thought KitKat was supposed to have secure element emulation. This was to get around the need for the chip and allow us to use NFC tap to pay via Google Wallet. I also "read somewhere" that this rom had it (CM11 didn't.) But in wallet, it says tap to pay is unavailable.
Of course, I'm running on the latest nightly, so maybe that has something to do with it?
Not having tap to pay isn't a deal breaker for me...I'm just OCD. If there's a feature on my phone that should work, I'll spend an infinite amount of time trying to get it to work (even if it's something I probably won't use!)
Updated bug list
So after using this rom, I have compiled a list of all the bugs I've encountered so far.
Since there I can’t post in the dev thread yet I'll just post them here.
Since the May 1st build:
1. .gif files don’t load properly and will occasionally freeze and force close app
2. Certain websites take a while to load and occasionally freeze and force close app
3. Widgets don't resize properly. For example if you expand the tiles by on to make it 5x5, a widget that says its 4x1 will turn out to be 5x2
4. NFC still requires a restart to turn off
5. Still no camera but I'm patient :fingers-crossed:
So far these are the major ones I've found but I'll post more if I find them.

1, 2 points need the latest graphic driver, you can find the flashable zip here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=51035856
Driver needs to be flashed on each nightly as it gets replaced each time with old driver..I won't recommend flashing it same time as you flash rom because it will cause more issues..first boot rom and the go to recovery and flash the drivers..
3. Widget issue should be reported on pac-rom forums..I don't know if it happens on cm11.
4, 5. Known cm11 issues, No fix as yet..

This is a simple module to fulfill requests here and here.
It's an adaptation of the original smali mods to the Google Calendar found here by @shaftenberg. There's preferences to allow you to customize how the event text looks in Google Calendar month view.
Tested against Google Calendar 20140414.
I didn't have time to find/create an app icon for the module; I'll get to it eventually.App icon added to v1.1
Standard xposed module stuff; install Xposed Framework, enable app_process, reboot. Install this module, enable in Xposed Installer->Modules, reboot.
Also available in the Xposed Repo.
Source is available at my github

Not unless the Google Calendar comes with a widget already. This module just takes the manual smali edits that were normally needed to enable event text in month view and makes it so you don't have to do any of that.
Hi agentdr8
thanks so much! Great! I tried to built a quite easier module without success. But I´m new to java coding and still learning.
I wonder if you would send me the source code of your app, for digging into it for studying and learning?
One little bug in your module is the events text size in the first row of the month view. Your text size modifications are used for nearly all calender fields, but won´t be used for the text in several fields. If I change the view to landscape and back, or to week view and back, all fields are fine. So this bug only exist, when I even open the calendar app. Please take a look at the picture here:

I'll see what I can find. It seems to only be on days on the first line of the screen, whether it's previous month or partial new month, so it's probably a different view that needs modifying.Found occurrences in the middle of a month prev/next to current. Hmm.

I don't believe any errors will be thrown in this case. The debugging output goes to the xposed error.log, but this seems to be caused by the view getting inflated prior to the values being modified. I'll be digging through the GCal code some more today to see if I can figure it out.
Uploaded new version to repo and OP. Found the issue causing the odd text size bug and it should be resolved now. Also added an app icon. Enjoy.
I'll get the source up to github later today.
Thanks for sharing this. I've always hated the fact this wasn't a native feature of GCal.
I've even sent feedback several times requesting in. Even had a response one time asking me to elaborate. Thanks again!

Not unless that calendar app already has this functionality built in (but disabled). Most OEM apps like Calendar and Email are written from scratch and don't use AOSP code as a base.

Does the stock calendar show the details in month view when in tablet view? This module basically takes advantage of built-in functionality in the Google Calendar app that's disabled when not in tablet mode.
Ever wish that LG had given the V10/V20 more widgets in the second screen? Well, wish no more! BoredSigns adds many more widgets to your SignBoard (get it? SignBoard --> BoredSigns?), ones you may need and ones you may not.
The best part about BoredSigns? It doesn't need root! That's right; you can get some brand new widgets on your completely Stock V10 or V20. In the future, ADB may be necessary for certain widgets, but right now, you don't need your computer at all.
Current widgets:
— Information
— Weather
— Image
— Navigation Bar

I never thought to tap the "..." on "Show when main screen on" so I have been stuck with the basic options this whole time. Worth my $1.05 right there.
So, after using it for a few minutes, I noticed the persistent notification for BoredSigns, so I long-pressed it and turned off all notifications. Will this negatively affect the operation of the app? I did notice that when I swiped my notification shade down, or when switching between widgets, the 2nd screen options would come on, so I restarted the phone. It doesn't seem to be doing that anymore, but I did have to toggle weather on and off a few times to get a real location and not 100*F in Philadelphia.
Bonus question... where can I find out more about the "yet unreleased AOSP implementation of the 2nd screen?"
Found the perfect image for the second screen a mod one of the best football team in the world...perfect fit and color !
Happy user here....thank you again for this :highfive:
So someone suggested I do a navigation bar widget. After lots of Java reflection (the actual tool, not thinking about my life with Java), I went with a simple Accessibility Service.
Because of that, these functions will be available:
- Back
- Home
- Recents
- Split Screen
- Power
- QS Pulldown
- Notification Pulldown
If there are any other (simple) buttons you might want, suggest them. I'll add them in if I can.
Here's what it looks like right now:
