Had this for my XDA Orbit, but...
Hi,
i had this thing for my XDA Orbit I - its protection is ok and very tough as it is made form metal. BUT also it weakens the GPS signal reception!
Apart from that it is ok.
Cheers.
For the touch screen display... do you need to remove the cover to use it, or can the HD still recognize your finger thru the front cover of the case (with the cover closed)?
If not, can you remove that part?
Thanks.
The case has a (hard)plastic cover so of course you can't use the touchscreen if the case is closed. You can still answer a cal with the "buttons".

Thanks for the reply, and for the great pics (they really illustrate the case)...
Can the clear plastic piece be removed, and just the metal shell used? If so, would it be a waste to do so, or do you think the metal shell would be good protection still? (I already have Invisible Shield on the front of my phone). I currently use one of the silicone shells, but really want a belt clip.
Thanks again!!
can we use it if the devica have full body zagg?

It can be removed but it I think it will weaken the strength or sturdiness of the case.

I have been using a cheap ebay soft silicon case since I got my x10
and so far, it's been GREAT! except for the aesthetic part....
it's ugly as hell on my phone..
but i'm so clumsy and i've dropped my phone so many times, on carpets, on pavement, on stairs, etc. and still nothing's broken, and there's not even a crack or a scratch..
i've never used a hard case before.. and i was wondering how they are like.. in terms of 'protecting the phone'
i'm kind of worried that when i put a hard case on and drop it by mistake, the case will come off (kinda like when you sometimes drop your cheap cell phones, the battery comes off)
or that it won't be as protective as my current silicon case...
i have a sensuous white phone.. and i'm looking at these cases

and
the first one protects the front as well, but the second one looks prettier..(imo)
if anyone owns above cases, please let me know what they are like and also whether i should go for the back cover or full hard case..
thank you!!
also, what colour should i go for? i'm leaning towards red on white..
but i also like pink-white, or white-white..
http://www.mobilefun.co.uk/capdase-alumor-metal-case-sony-ericsson-xperia-x10-black-p24926.htm
I've dropped it on concrete with this on and not a problem. Aluminium on the outside, rubber on the inside with a rubber lip to hold the phone in place. Nice and snug.
Haha! The BACK case has the wrong cutting for the camera xD
i use a capdase soft jacket 2,and it is great.

um i think those are the holes for speakers lol
well i'm just wondering if anyones used them and if they have.. how they are in terms of protection...
i drop my phone a lot so i need a sturdy case
How about you stop being clumsy idiots and not drop your phone or just not buy good things.
I bought a black rubberized hard case just like the pink one you mentioned. It looks good in the pictures, but I really didn't like it. It ended up making the phone bulky, and the build quality was not perfect where one side was not finished completely and felt rough to the touch.
I then went with a TPU (thermoplastic polyurethane) case instead, and I've been very satisfied with it. TPU plastic doesn't have that stickiness of silicone but is thin and flexible enough to keep the X10's shape. On eBay there are different colors to choose from and they seem to come with and without patterns. Just do a search for 'xperia x10 tpu'. I got a no-pattern smoke colored one for a few dollars (USD) with free shipping, and I think it's great.

and @xdadevelopers1222
thank you that's something i wanted to read.. i'll look into the tpu stuff..
I need a case. Here's my qualifications:
1. not a "book", or flip-cover style.
2. Allows access to the SDCard slot area on the top and bottom.
3. will provide some impact protection.
Here's a picture of the reason for my case needs.

I'd like some suggestions. I'm considering purchasing the Otterbox Commuter case and removing the areas in question with a dremel
I just ordered the trident aegis case (have not received it yet) and it has just rubber covering that spot. There is a video review on youtube but I can't link 'cuz I'm a noob.

It's connected to the internal UART connections. The device is a bus pirate. UART is used for kernel and bootloader debugging.
I think i've found a winner...

Silicon case + Screen Protector + keychain (will be thrown away).
The Trident Aegis case has access from the back of the tablet with a fold out rubber door. It is a very rugged case.
The Mini Suit case works well for this. No modification needed
It came with a screen protector too. Cant argue with this protection for the price.
Looks good. Does it have a hole for the mic?

I'm very careful with my phone, but would like to have some very light protection from a case. What are the thinnest cases, preferably clear or anything that goes well with the style of a black note 3, that are available?
Ideally I would just have a clear "bumper" style case that protects the silver outside edge of the phone, which also keeps the screen off of a surface when set face down. (or perhaps even something that snaps in and replaces the back cover while also protecting the sides)
But if you don't know if anything like that specifically, any and all suggestions for very thin and unobtrusive cases are appreciated!

Spigen Bounce, I Have it and i Love It!
I'm rocking a Puregear slim shell case and love it. For me it has enough protection but still gives you that super slim feel of the awesome phone we have. The back is clear and has a few nubs that keep it from getting all scratch up when you put it down and it has enough of a lip that it protects the screen if you lay it screen down (even with a tempered glass screen protector). The rim of the case is a soft silicone and the back is a polycarbonate. The fit is perfect on the phone and you have perfect access to all of the ports, the hole cutouts are perfect, and the spen is easy to get out. One of the better cases I have bought recently other than my UAG. I got the one with the white rim but they also sell one with a black rim as well. Here is the link to the black:
http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00GYI2YT2?pc_redir=1397192822&robot_redir=1
For 15 bucks you can't go wrong. They even have a thicker case if you don't want the slim shell that's also nice. But if you go a little thicker I would go with a UAG.

So I decided to get a heavy duty case as a backup, so I went with the Poetic Revolution. It'll definitely handle being more rough on the phone, yet it doesn't add much more bulk than the Quarterback series case does.
The case itself is a two piece...there's a hard plastic with the built in screen protector, and then a nice rubbery TPU wraps around it. It's easy to take apart and put together. There's flaps over the bottom of the case to protect the ports, even though since the phone is waterproof it really doesn't need them.
The back is that rubbery TPU, but it's a little bit slick. It's not hard plastic like the quarterback so it has a bit more resistance to sliding around. The sides have nice rubbery grip, and the buttons are easy to push.
I'm not a huge fan of cases with built in screen protectors, but I figured I'd get one to have just in case...but the protector is less than desirable. It accumulates fingerprints much more so than a regular screen protector would. If anything, just like on the Tab S revolution cases, you may want to attempt to cut the built in protector out. I won't bother because I like having full protection incase I ever need it, but it's something to think about.

Does it interfere with wireless charging? My lifeproof fre doesnt but the screen protector on the s7 fre is atrocious. So much so I am using a tech21 at the moment without a screen cover.

Hi everyone, I have a doubt, I would like to know if the rear camera has any kind of factory protector or you have to buy one because I just saw the camera and it already has scratches :crying:
I put some no name camera protector glass on it with a circle hole for the flash to avoid the flash from seeping into my pictures.
Plot twist: a circle hole for the flash still creates blue tinted images in the dark when you turn on flash.
But I do feel safer with a protector for the camera, although it became a fingerprint magnet.

Do the aluminum cover mess with the ultra wide lens? I had a similar cover for XIaomi Mi 9 and it would mess with the wide angle lens
In my experience they are total disaster. I brought 3 of them. When I found one which had broad enough holes to not obstruct the camera, I found out that it had no holes for laser adjuster. I drilled both holes myself but then Google pay stopped to work. The metal ring messes with nfc and block its functionality. I removed it and never want to see it again. I mount a protective folie wit holes for everything. I'm thinking about additional layer of the folie to double the thickness. So far I don't have any scratches but I always watch where to put the phone.
