I've made 2 CABs for an easy switch between keyboard layouts.
This might be helpful to you if:
You have a Touch Pro device (The device on the left side of the picture), you've flashed to a Fuze ROM and now the keyboard does not function properly - download and install Shlomki TouchPro Keyboard in Fuze ROM.cab

Touch Pro on the left, Fuze on the right.
(thanks JZ SmartMort for the ref for the pic)
Notes:
-SOFT RESET YOUR DEVICE WHEN DONE TO FINISH THE INSTALLATION!
-Not anything revolutionary, it just an easy and comfortable way to change the registry key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\HARDWARE\DEVICEMAP\KEYBD\CWSLayout to the right value, that's all (0 for Touch Pro, 1 for Fuze).
-These CABs are uninstallable (use Settings -> System -> Remove Programs)
-I recommend including it on your UC setup, this way you don't have to worry about installing it every time you flash to a ROM that's not made for your keyboard layout
-Install on your own responsibility

I think Ive seen that cab somewhere before. Thanks for the preview in my thread
Keep it up.
Not to burst your bubble :| But there was already a cab for Touch Pro to Fuze. So I congratulate you for making one for fuze to touch pro lol

eh, as i said, it's just because i saw people were interested in it.
it's just a simple reg change anyway.
oh well, at least now it's posted and tagged properly. =P
Hacking keyboard values...
So you're changing where the device looks for keyboard map is that correct?
What about changing the actual map it's self? Is there a way to change specific values of each of the keys? The Fuze map for instance doesn't have a control key, and it would be great if you could change one of the other keys, say the right shift key, to act as a control key. Far easier for keyboard short cuts, (ctrl + c & v )
Is there a way to accomplish this by changing a registry value else where? Or change a file map someplace that maps each specific key?
Thanks!

that's not a reg change, you'll need an app that'll do it for you.
google it up, there are plenty.
try AE Button Plus, i've used it in my HTC Universal days...
Cool, the cab didn't work, but the reg fix did the job. Quick and effective. Thanks.
TP to Fuze keyboard worked great on the PROven rom. I was using the regedit before hand, but this is definitely an easier way to go about it.
Thanks a bunch!

Touch Pro and Fuze have different keyboard layouts. The two CABs allow you to switch between the layouts.
Here is the source of the info: http://www.crunchgear.com/2008/11/12/review-htc-touch-pro-sprint-and-htc-fuze-att/
Screenshot of two keyboards attached. On the left side is Touch Pro, on the right is the AT&T Fuze. Numbers on the top row of Touch Pro is the big difference. It might be useful to have this reference on the first post.

Noob Needing Help with Keyboard
I have an ATT Fuze that I just updated with [ROMeOS²][ENG][15FEB|READY] v1.81.1 FINAL (20764). My keyboard layout is now messed up and I found this thread without problems. However I cannot figure out how to install the two files contained in the download. I also tried to edit the registry but I do not have a CWSLay option to change. I had absolutely no problems flashing the HardSPL or the ROMeOS rom but this has me stumpped. I have literally spent hours trying to figure this out yesterday and today. I come with hat in hand, shamefully asking for help.
thanks
@[email protected]:
Haven't tried them yet but if they are like other CAB files, you should be able to copy the appropriate CAB to your device Storage or Storage Card. Once copied, you should be able to use File Explorer on your device to click (double-click) the CAB file ... which should trigger the install.
If the install doesn't trigger, it could indicate that your device is preventing unsigned CAB files from being installed.
HTH,
Thanks hilaireg,
I had tried that at the very first and when I double click on the _setup.xml file it goes straight into a text editor. It doesn't even try to install. I also downloaded a program CabviaActive Sync but that didn't work either. When I click on the file FUZEKE~1.00 it says it can't be opened because it is not associated with a program. Believe it or not I have installed other programs and things on my phone in the last 3 weeks or so that I have had the phone but as I said, I'm stumpped.

RELEASE NOTES:
These will only work with Windows Mobile builds 21000+
If you DO NOT have a 21000+ build on your device, you can use francarl's Menu Enhancement Loader V1.1. I have personally tested this on my Fuze running the stock ROM and it works PERFECTLY!! Kudos to francarl!
These may or may not work on WM6.5. I don't use WM6.5 so I can't test them on it.
THESE CABS HAVE BEEN MODIFIED TO WORK ONLY ON VGA! THEY WILL WORK ON WVGA BUT WILL BE VERY SMALL!!
IF YOU WANT TO DISCUSS QVGA, PLEASE POST IN THIS THREAD HERE.
Installation instructions:
Uninstall any version of the HTC Menu Enhancement you may have previously installed.
Soft-reset.
Install cab.
Soft-reset.
Enjoy!!
You can find the downloads in post 2 of this thread. Screenshots are in post 3.
Descriptions and Download Links
Tachi Menu Ehancement:
This came from a WM6.5 Tachi OEM. This has been tested on builds up to 21051 and works great. I personally am using 21051 and will confirm that it works perfectly. This has not been tested on WM6.5 so please report your results!!
Topaz Menu Enhancement:
This came from a shipped official Topaz ROM. I have tested it on my ROM(21051) and it works fine. Not tested on WM6.5.
Rhodium Menu Ehancement T-Mobile:
This came from the T-Mobile Rhodium 21051 ROM. I have also tested this on my ROM and it does work. Not tested on WM6.5. This menu Enhancement has a blue highlight instead of green.
Rhodium Menu Enhancement:
This is the original cab I posted back when I first started the thread. It is from the European HTC Rhodium 3G ROM. Since I originally posted it I made a small improvement to landscape menu width. This has been tested to work by many but I will tell you right now, IT DOES NOT work with my 21051 ROM. The only way I was able to get this to work was to replace the GWES.exe from the 21018 build before building the ROM.
Rhodium 6.5 Menu Enhancement:
This is from a leaked WM6.5 Rhodium 6.5 ROM. This will work on both WM6.1 and WM6.5 but you will not be able to scroll in WM6.1. WM6.5 users please report your results.
Leo 6.5 Menu Enhancement:
This is from the new and un-released HTC Leo. It is made for WM6.5 but as you can see in the screenshots below, I have it installed on a WM6.1 ROM to test and scrolling doesn't work if you install this cab on WM6.1. It has been modified for VGA from WVGA. Please test and report your results.
Leo 6.1 Menu Enhancement:
This is the same cab as the 6.5 version above but I've modified it to allow scrolling with WM6.1. DO NOT USE THIS VERSION WITH 6.5!!! This is also modified
Rhodium 6.1 Menu Enhancement - Sprint:
This is a cab put together by smotrs. It's actually a modified version of my original Rhodium Menu Enhancement cab including a custom Sprint PCS Skin he threw together. He already uploaded it so I'm not going to post it here but you can find it in Post 404 and a screenshot of his skin in Post 405. Thanks smotrs for your skin!!

Yes it looks similar but isn't nearly as fast or fluid. When I tried it about a month ago on my Touch Pro it was disgustingly lethargic... It's also not created by HTC and so yes I could use fingermenu but at the same time I would much rather have this menu extension instead and it's worth the effort.
In which resolution are you trying? QVGA, WVGA, VGA?
I have only fast looked in your cab, in your screen appear 6 items but in the cab it says that it has to show 8 in portratimode
Also have you played whith the position of the NavilIcon/NaviHW (modifying the registry)?

I have a VGA device(Touch Pro) and it's set to show 8 items but for whatever reason it only displays those 6 items unless you scroll manually. I tried reverting the reg to only 6 items but it still has the same effect for me.

yeah that makes sense, having an officially made app is usually better (HTC is amazing so i get where you are coming from)
i do like that oyu can scroll with your finger thru fingermenu, and disable the arrows.. is that possible with this? (not disabling arrows, the scrolling through with fingerstroke?)

Those values I haven't played with. I'm afraid that if I change them the extension may become un-usable.
I think the problem is that you have taken this from a WVGA, and it thinks that the arrow is not int he place you view. You will need to modify the coordinates to say where is the arrow.
Basically you will need to modify the 'y' to adjust your screen height
YES!
It Works Great in BalckStone
the arrow is working
It would be great if someone could port this to VGA an QVGA...
I will try it when I have spare time, but basically to por it (maybe someone is capable of trying it):
VGA:
1) Change the xxxxHW items in the registry to reduce the 'y' length of the screen
QVGA:
1) Change the bmps to reduce it is width/height
2) Modify the xxxHW items in the registry to reduce the 'x' and the 'y' of the screen
3) Adapt the xxxIcon and xxxTile to the new coordinates of the bmps
very interesting cab this one.
CUIHandler.dll (which is in this cab) exports a single function, CustomTrackPopupMenu. This function probably replaces standard TrackPopupMenu API.
I've done the same thing in my FingerMenu app. My app inject a dll in gwes.exe process than replaces in ce kernel the address of original TrackPopupMenu with the new one.
The interesting thing is that in hts menus replacing with custom procedure is done (I think) by specifying a simple registry key that is:
HKLM\System\GWE\Menu
CUIHandler=00000001
perhaps only newest builds of windows mobile have this feature.
Seeing as it works on the BlackStone but not the X1, and that it looks like it is only activated by a simple registry setting, would something as simple as replacing the gwes.exe with the one from a build > 21000 allow this htc menu to work?

gwes.exe is a kernel process that manage all graphics apis. I really don't think that a simple replace can works.Try instead to build a ROM with version >21000.
But X1 is WQVGA (or not?) so I think it will not work correctly.
Another .dll file is required
HTCScroll.dll:
wow this looks so much like francarl's FingerMenu it's unreal a clone
I take it this will only work on HTC phones?
I'm looking for such a program for my iPAQ 910c, but at the moment FingerMenu doesn't seem to work (possibly due to the landscape display).
Well I somewhat got it to work ion my QVGA Device. I rezized the 2 graphic files to 240 x 109. I also changed the following 2 Registry Entries, \HKLM\Software\HTC\HTCMenus\ItemHW to 220,36,240,36 and \HKLM\Software\HTC\HTCMenus\NaviHW to 220,23,240,23 and reset and it seems to function well, but the graphic is messed up. It scrolls well and the arrows work. The Text Color is good, it is just the background part of the graphic is like a color pixel mess.
Still working on these 2 entries xxxIcon and xxxTile to the new coordinates of the bmps to try and fix as suggested previously.
Will update soon, hopefully

I added the dll and registry to the cab file. I'm testing right now. Will report back. If it works I will repost the updated cab.
EDIT:: It works. Updating first post right now.
I scoured the web for a decent looking 3G icon in CommManager and they were not pleasing to the eye. I am NOT an artist, in fact I suck at it but mine still look better than the alternatives and I provide the black and white CAB of the images to match most themes.
Here is my 3G icon CAB for Comm Manager based on this post: http://www.fuzemobility.com/how-to-disable-3g/
Why do you need this? Because turning off 3G makes my Touch Pro (AT&T Fuze) battery last longer, about 2-3 days instead of having to charge daily. Low 3G reception areas cause the phone to keep looking hard for that 3G signal. EDGE network is a trade-off, my other software has support have plenty of web browsers that are optimized for low-speed, so I only turn on 3G when I truly need some internet speed.
Only for GSM phones
Does not work on Touch Pro 2 or Diamond 2. My guess is it will no longer work for newer devices as HTC has disabled this hidden feature in Comm Manager. Use my app, JZ SmartMort which has a macro/script to turn 3G on and off. It's the only thing I can offer for newer devices.
It will replace whatever button is in the 5th position (look at the screenshots below), usually "Microsoft Direct Push" is in that position.
To restore Microsoft Direct Push back to position #5 in CommManager, you can do either of the following.
Uninstall my CAB and it will reverse the single registry change.
Using the Advanced Config Tool (Right-Menu -> More Settings -> Comm Manager) the order of the buttons can easily be changed.
Modify the registry for that 5th button HKLM\Software\HTC\CommManager\5\(Default) change "3G" string that my CAB put there to "AUTD", which basically means MS Direct Push.
The most important thing that the CAB provides is the four images that will end up in \Windows folder. After the CAB is installed, you have to kill CommManager.exe if it's running or take a reboot before seeing the new button/image.
This will work on VGA, QVGA and other devices running the "Diamond" or "Opal" version of CommManager (verify with screenshots below) and it should work on all ported versions of CommManager as well.
Tested on:
HTC Raphael / Touch Pro / Fuze
HTC Tytn II / Kaiser / Tilt --- (needs HTC CommManager like shown below not the original blue Microsoft one)
Enjoy!
JZ

Did you install one of my CABs? If so then why is 3G button not in the 5th position? I also noticed that your signature says that you a Kaiser / Tilt, which is a QVGA device. I just tested my 3G CABs on a QVGA device and they work just as good as on VGA devices, so this can't be caused because you installed my CABs.
Re-install your Comm Manager from links below, obviously stick to QVGA.

Interesting, I don't have Touch HD so I can't say for sure but some procedures below should hopefully answer this popular topic of HD.
Have you tried going into Advanced Config Tool and following the instructions from the first post to change CommManager button order around?
I'm pretty sure that I've seen Touch HD with the same CommManager as Diamond/Fuze uses so it seems as if it should work.
Post screenshots if possible... of CommManager and Advanced Config settings. I want to see if the button present or grayed out, etc... It's hard to assess anything w/o this sort of info.
Looks like a neat piece of software!
Two questions:
1) Will it restore the default comm manager when uninstalled?
2) Is there a way for localisation (ie show some other text than English)?

Great question!
No, it will not return button #5 back to "Microsoft Direct Push"... You would need to use Advanced Config to change the order back... I guess I could create a CAB to restore back but Advanced Config is a popular utility, I would expect most users here to have that handy.
An uninstall will probably delete the image files from \Windows and leave the user with a blank button.
EDIT: look at the first post for a restore CAB which you should run after uninstalling.

I tested further and found out that my CAB will put the registry setting back to MS Direct Push when my CAB is uninstalled. This is the registry value: HKLM\Software\HTC\CommManager\5\(Default) = "AUTD"
Again, the answer is YES my CAB will put reverse the single registry change that it makes, I forgot about that general feature of CAB files.
I'm pulling the useless "restore" CAB from the first post.
Good mod but on my Htc Diamond doesn't work. If I put 3g icon to off in Settings i see GSM, but if I put it to ON i see on settings 'Auto' and not WCDMA (3G) so the diamond connect however to Edge (GSM).

Is your Diamond CDMA or GSM?
Keep in mind this is not a hack, this is default functionality for that Comm Manager. My CAB simply changes one of the buttons to a predefined string in the registry, not something that I came up with. The only thing that I provide is the images... take a look at this website and you will see that this is a known mod for these devices but only GSM not CDMA versions of the devices. I will change the first post to reflect that.
Take a look at this thread, this mod has been out for a while:
http://www.fuzemobility.com/how-to-disable-3g/
When you use this mod w/o my CAB, the button will still work but will have an empty image which I certainly did not like, hence my effort.

My diamond is GSM version (With Sim) but UMTS, HDSPA and 3G Enable only with WCDMA Option..
Along similar lines to S2U2, I've decided to make Slide2Shutdown! There's nothing special to configure, just install it and go. All resolutions should work fine (make sure you download QVGA for QVGA or WQVGA devices), but I only have the ability to test it on a VGA device so I can't guarantee how well it works in other resolutions. It also supports both portrait and landscape seamlessly.

There are four CABs available to install. They require version 3.5 of the .NET Compact Framework, the program won't run without it.
Slide2ShutdownSetup_v1.1.CAB just installs the application without mapping it to the power key. QVGA/WQVGA version.
Slide2ShutdownPowerKeySetup_v1.1.CAB installs the application, and maps it to the power key so that it will automatically launch when you hold down the power key. QVGA/WQVGA version.
There's no elaborate skinning method built-in, but the graphics are all stored in the \gfx\ folder and you can change them at will. Just replace the BMP files with your own files of the same dimensions.
Multiple language support is now available. You will find the available languages in the \lang\ folder. To enable your chosen language, open the txt file and change the first line to say "1" instead of "0".
Languages available:
Chinese (thanks winderp!)
Czech (thanks RDT!)
Danish (thanks TorbenKB!)
French
German (thanks basthet!)
Greek (thanks dancer_69!)
Italian (thanks fuorionda!)
Polish (thanks CZiPEN!)
Russian (thanks Alexx~!)
Spanish (thanks PabloMDiez!)
It should be pretty straightforward to create your own languages. Create a file called "lang.yourlanguage.txt". Make the first line 0. The second, third and fourth lines should be "slide to shutdown", "restart" and "sleep" respectively, and the last line should be the text for the cancel button. Please post your language file if you translate it, and I'll add it to the next version!
Changelog:
v1.1, 31/08/2009:
FIXED: HTC devices should shutdown properly now. HUGE thank you to DaveShaw for helping me with this. I don't think Omnia devices will though. Please send me a PM if you know how to rectify this.
ADDED: Support for multiple languages. French and German (thanks basthet!) included. See above for information on enabling this.
v1.0, 30/08/2009:
Initial release
BUG: Shutdown slider doesn't currently work well on many HTC phones (it only suspends), I'm looking into a fix.
Thanks for your great work!
I will report it, if it has bug.
Great idea
Great. Thanks a lot
QVGA/WQVGA would be nice.
I'd like to have this mapped to my power key on my Omnia...
cheers.
Cythrelo said:
Along similar lines to S2U2, I've decided to make Slide2Shutdown! There's nothing special to configure, just install it and go. At the moment, it's VGA-only but if there's enough demand, I'll make a QVGA version as well! I haven't tested it in WVGA, but I don't see why it wouldn't work just fine. It also supports both portrait and landscape seamlessly.
There are two CABs available to install. They require version 3.5 of the .NET Compact Framework, the program won't run without it.
Slide2ShutdownSetup.CAB just installs the application without mapping it to the power key.
Slide2ShutdownPowerKeySetup.CAB installs the application, and maps it to the power key so that it will automatically launch when you hold down the power key.
There's no elaborate skinning method built-in, but if the graphics are all stored in the \gfx\ folder and you can change them at will. Just replace the BMP files with your own files of the same dimensions.

Very, very cool.

WQVGA would be awesome.
Nice Idea.
Wating for QVGA.
Suggestion:
1.At top:Center text:"Slide2Shut".
2.Move the three slide to centre.
3.Add some background.
4.Full Screen.
Very useful application!
It works well in Touch HD, except the bug you already mentioned.
I would like to ask you to add 'slide to screen off'.
Thank you!
Good news! It turns out that it was easier to add QVGA and WQVGA support than I thought it would be. I just added QVGA cabs to the first post, let me know if you have any problems since I can only test on emulators and not real devices.
Very nice! I'm especially fond of the dimmed background.

Working great on my Omnia which is WQVGA. Thanks for the quick conversion.
Is slide to off supposed to turn the device off completely? If yes then that is not working for me either but it suspends and resets.
Glad to hear it's working well for you!
Yep, it's supposed to turn off entirely. Unfortunately, HTC devices seem to have their own method of shutting down, and the method I tried to use didn't work. I haven't been able to find any information on how to do a proper shutdown for HTC devices, but I've been looking and asking around and I'll implement a bugfix as soon as I figure it out.

OK. My Omnia is from Samsung so I imagine the fix for HTC might not work for me. I'll look around for the needed info on the Omnia.
I just tried the version tied to the power button also but the power button option does not work for me. Perhaps a different button location for the Omnia.
The power button CAB just adds a shortcut called Long_Power.lnk to the \Windows\ directory. I guess this doesn't work with the Omnia? I'd be happy to fix that too if someone knows of a more universal way to do it. I'm new to all of this and still firmly in novice territory as a programmer, so I'm way behind everyone else here.
If you have Advanced Config installed, are you able to go to Menu> More settings> Key mapping and map "Long press Power key" to it?

No. Long press Power key is grayed out.
Sorry, I'm out of ideas then. Until I can find a solution, you could try AE Button Plus to remap the power button. The trial version will work, if you don't mind a splash screen when it starts.
One more thought, do you already have something like psShutXP or xdaShutdown installed and mapped to the power key? It's possible they may be overriding it.

I do have psShutXP installed. I'll see about removing that.
Removing psShutXP did not help.

Hey - couple of things
1. All in all, excellent ROM.
2. Minor suggestions -
- I'd like to remove stuff like fring because I don't use it. In the future versions, is it possible to install it via a cab so that i can uninstall it?
- Maybe organize the apps into specific folders (other than one folder called tool)?
- ATT Fuze KB didn't work out of the box (cab fix works). Perhaps mod this?
- Remove the horizontal lines in the today screen for non-manila, non-chrome users?
Other than that, think of adding a "donate" link

No, you need to look in the Herald ROM forum for those:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=349
You cannot put a ROM on a different device without some major rebuilding of 75% of the ROM.

this is the latest leaked sys/xip 23409 build, so expect bugs, and please report here if you found bugs and comments to tune this rom perfect, just not the bugs, if you guys know fix as well, please post it.
for the TF3D issue, i think u guys noticed the start and close button Microsoft has been moved to bottom, and the height of the bottom bar also increased, and top bar (status) size got decreased as well, so TF3D will not position well, it will have a small space between top status bar and TF3D, to resolve this issue i am using an EXE file (thanks to bikeandestroyx) and its run on windows start up and move the TF3D window certain pixels up.
when u restart TF3D (for me i shuffle positions of tabs for my convenience) u also need to run this file (to make it easy, just restart the phone, and things will be alright).
i think u got it clear. please feel free to post your comments/questions/advice/fix....

Couple of more things -
1. I feel the responsiveness of the phone falls down whenever it rings. It took me about 10 seconds to answer a call yesterday after I noticed my phone ringing and started pushing the green button. It may be with the dialer, but just letting you know as fyi.
2. I saw that you assigned "Tasks" to the hold-and-press action of the call button, but it would be a good idea to have the task manager assigned to that or some other button. Again, it's a personal preference that I think others may like. Maybe the PTT button?
3. Love the smooth animation between some windows.
Just started trying out, run into first problem.
- Unable to install signed Opera Mini

Looks like HTC volume control does not work(or is missing completely). Shows ugly default popup.
Is there any way to fix it?
Aside of that, very good ROM. Thanks.
And yes, +1 vote to remove fring.
seems like Microsoft keep changing their button location and size of top and bottom bars as well, i think we should wait till it get finalized

Hello all, here is the newest Phone_Canvas_Enhancement_5_0_61220152721_0 from Huashan ported to VGA. All credit go to WoZZeR999 for his port ,pyrorob for his porting template(a phcanrc.dll from Leo Phone Canvas) and amarullz for his phcanvga.exe!
Why this one:
1. It supports WM6.5.3(231XX) natively. No more Caller ID issue or graphical glitches.
2. It supports video call.
Why not the one from Oboe(seems much newer):
1. It has dual SIM support thus if we want to use it we need to get rid of its dual SIM support(e.g. hex edit), otherwise we can't even make a call.
2. It doesn't support video call.
The attached zip has two packages inside: Phone_Canvas_Enhancement_5_0_61220152721_0(Phone Canvas itself), Video_Telephony_3_0_38566_0(a dependency of the Phone Canvas).
All packages are with 0804 localization, 0409 localization attached seperately.
Please download the phcanrc.dll attached and replace the one in the original package to get VGA resolution. And please make the phcanvga.exe start on boot(put a link in /Windows/StartUp).
This Phone Canvas won't work on AKU versions other than 6.5.3.
Again thanks WoZZeR999 for his port!
The Haushan rom doesn't need the ipdial package, just for info. It does need the Video Telephony package.
The package seems to be very similar to the leo 2g stuff, so it may be possible (if the leo 2g was converted to vga) to just replace a few files with the leo ones (anything that has dialog and image resources).

Ok, I will remove the IP dial package. But there is a option in the Phone Canvas menu to open IP dial.
I guess the resources inside the dlls have changed a lot, simply replacing files doesn't sound good and we will lose 6.5.3 compatibilty.
And it's "Huashan" instead of "Haushan", Huashan is a famous mountain in China, literally translated as "Hua Mountain".
Sorry, my mistype.
I know that the CMYLXGO Leo 2g dialer skins it perfectly. -- After looking at it, phcanImages probably does not have any of the screen res stuff in it, so my mistake.
I'm using Phone_Canvas_Enhancement_5_0_61220142530_0, so I don't know if they added IP Dialer, but I don't need it to make calls. (No option shows up for it either)

IP dialing in the right soft key menu in 0804 mui. Basically, we only need to port phcanrc.dll.
If you can attach the most recent vga phcanrc file, I can try my hand at editing the Huashan phcanrc.dll for you.

Oh really? Thanks! I attached the most recent ported Qilin Phone Canvas Enhancement(which is the most like Huashan one) phcanrc.dll. phcanvga.exe also(the program to push the phone canvas upwards, you can ignore it, I just upload in case).
I can transfer most of the dialog boxes over, but there's 5 more in the Huashan, and without a vga device I can't test them. I'll have this done in a few minutes, so you can test if it mostly works, and give screen shots of stuff that doesn't.

Ok, great, I've just tried that phcanrc.dll that I attached before, but not thinking it good. So I have another dll for you, you may also do some modifications. The attached phcanrc.dll here is almost perfect, but it may be different from Huashan one, hope you can have a look at it and try to use it as a template.
Thanks!
This one looks much better. The other one you posted didn't look like it was really changed much (still had 800x480) dialog boxes.

Ok, I've got a real quick hackjob here for you to test. Let me know if this works for you (and screen shots of parts that don't work).

I hope it works. It looked like most of the dialog boxes were the same (with just some re-arranging for VGA). Same ID numbers for the buttons and stuff (but different dialog box ID).
Edit: It shouldn't matter, but I used the Phone_Canvas_Enhancement_5_0_61220142530_0 which is 2014, and the one you posted is 2015.

The three buttons should be moved up a bit, to center in the dialog.
And landscape is quite unusable, like:
I am not quite sure if you can fix the landscape(it might just not support landscape).
Hope you can fix these bugs, and maybe re-port from 2015 dll? 2015 dll may work better.
Thanks for you port!
I'll give the 2015 a shot. But the same errors may come up (since I'm just doing a quick hack until I can see what's wrong with it).
Edit: Here's another attempt at it, with the 2015 DLL. I didn't move any buttons, but I did pay closer attention while I was moving stuff. Hopefully this fixes the landscape issue.
Edit2: Also, can you show me a landscape of how it's supposed to look?
Edit3: I think the problem is the keypad on the 2014 Phone canvas, it doesn't look correct on my Rhod either. The pad is blank, like in your screen shot. This may happen in the 2015 as well. I have a package for Phone Canvas 5.1, but I can't seem to get it working.

Guess we should stop playing with landscape, I found the dialer trying its best to rotate back to portrait lol.
Never expected it would be done this quick, thanks!
That 5.1 is the one from Oboe, and as I said in #1:
Why not the one from Oboe(seems much newer):
1. It has dual SIM support thus if we want to use it we need to get rid of its dual SIM support(e.g. hex edit), otherwise we can't even make a call.
2. It doesn't support video call.

The new one is not working, see the screenshot:
It's getting late here, I got the 2 (landscape and portrait) backwards. I think I may know what's causing the landscape problem as well. Give me a few minutes
Edit: This *SHOULD* be correct. I checked it after against the original phcanrc.

This one works just like the 2014 one you posted, landscape not working but that's alright, in portrait mode, that Save Contact dialog still has the issue.
Maybe we should make it perfect tomorrow to let you catch some Zs for now?
Thanks!
