Hello,
I have a Sprint Version of the TP and when I am on the phone and get a text message there's this really loud annoying ring sound that goes off 3 times in a row and I can't hear what my caller is saying when its going off. Is there anyway to remove this or at least change the sound to something that's not as annoying like maybe a quiet 1 beep?
Thanks for the help
D
Go to settings-> all settings -> personal -> sounds and notification -> notification. Then open up the drop down bow and select Messaging: New Text Message. Next select ring type and select None from the bottom. =)

The "Play Sound" box is Unchecked but the "Vibrate" box is checked. I have no "None" option.
All I have is "Play Sound" (if enabled "repeat"), "Display Message On Screen", "Flash Light For" (Which is grayed out), and "Vibrate".
~~~~~~~~~~~~EDIT~~~~~~~~~~~1/21/09
I went to "settings -> personal -> sounds and notification -> Sounds" and Unchecked the "notifications (alarms, reminders)" and it worked! No more annoying sound while on the phone.
I Noticed when I did the above it disabled my phone from vibrating when I get a text even thou its checked in the "Vibrate" box, so I am back to needing help with this. Is there any way to make it so the phone does vibrate when not in a call but also not make the annoying notify ringtone???
Thanks!
From the text message window > Messaging Settings > Select Ringtone - I set the custom sound for text messages. I disabled Notification Sounds in the Settings > Sound > Notification Ringtone - Yet I still hear two different ringtones when I receive a text message. This problem doesn't happen with Emails. I tried turning off sounds in text message settings and off in sound settings and I still hear a tone.
Is there a way to navigate to the sound file on the phone and just delete it? Or any way at all to fix it?
Under what menu can I find that item and to disable the call beginning and the call ending sound?
When I had Skyrocket, I could disable those sounds under the "sound" menu, but I can't find such an option in my new S3 with ICS.
Thanks.
Anyone with an answer?
Thank you.
I just found it. I had to go digging through the phone for it because it was annoying the hell out of me too.
Open the "phone." From inside the phone press the menu key > call settings > call alert > call status tones
then select whichever options you want.
Oh thank you so much. I guess this is an ICS menu thing...
I have a problem with my Huawei mate 10 pro, when the screen is looked I can only see the time, date and the background theme for sure. But I can't see any notifications and I can't even see the drop down menu "notification bar" which includes wifi, Bluetooth.. etc. When I swipe down it asks me to enter my password instead of getting drop down menu settings. It is really annoying. I tried everything in the settings, I changed everything to "display all notifications" in Settings -> apps & notifications -> notifications management -> each app to enable and in top right menu "display all notifications". I thought it is always like this for huawei phones but my friend has mate 10 and he can see the notifications bar and his all notifications while the screen is locked. So any help please how to solve this problem! I want to see the notifications and the drop down menu "notification bar"
How to set up some app sensitive content and show others app notifications on lock screen? i cant find on settings.
It's a "little" hidden
System settings -> Apps & notifications -> Notifications -> Select app with recently shown notifications -> Select notification channel/type (e.g. Gmail - Email) -> Advanced -> change "on lock screen" behavior as desired
or
System settings -> Apps & notifications -> Select app from the list of all apps -> Notifications -> Select notification channel/type (e.g. Gmail - Email) -> Advanced -> change "on lock screen" behavior as desired
Clicking on the notification channel name is not very intuitive as there is already a checkbox.. Took me a while to realize that it offers two functions
What doesn't go where? [emoji846] You will need to be a little more specific.
I have a problem with the notification LED. When a missed SMS arrives or by mail, the LED lights up, but if I have a missed call, the LED is no longer lit. Is this an android bug?
I have the same set as in the picture and still with a missed call the LED does not light. For all possible applications the LED lights up, but for missed calls it still does not
It's pretty annoying, because I can't access the features of the call and keypad, for going through the options, e.g.
Any idea what could I do about it?
thank you
I hva the same problem since yesterday
I had this problem too. Go to settings -> applications -> applications -> in the three dots in the top right-hand side, select "show system processes" -> Phone -> Storage -> Delete cache and data -> Go back once -> Force close and restart your phone.
