I am not an German language speaker and I would like to know if this ROM contains also the English language to switch to?Or is it the same like the other WWE 6.1 ROM and doesn't worth to install it?

There is no WM6.1 Rom where you can switch the language for Nike.
This Rom is only worth to flash, if you are german and on T-Mobile Network. The Rom seems to be fast and no bugs till now
This Rom is also great for any warranty things

And again, there is no original Nike Rom with Manila2D build in. only HTC Home

If i want to update these update to reget the warranty, must i downgrade the spl, or what things i also have to do?
You have to downgrade SPL only if you have HardSPl installed! For that, start SSPL on your Nike and flash the ROM Update! It will overwrite the SPL with the original one!

HOW DO YOU DO THAT ON THE VODA VERSION?.
Don't forget that the notation may differ from provider to provider. It may very well be that 1.18 is HTC's own specific notation for the HERM200 devices.

Seems like the date is the only different thing so far.
Gonna see what the ext rom has next.
On a side note, the device seems a bit faster and more responsive, then after last hard reset (yesterday). Might be my imagination thou.

I have a MDA Compact 2, too.
And the 3rd ROM worked for me.
I installed T-Mobile AKU 3.3 before, but i dont know whether it is necessary.

Interesting, here are some basic infos:
- Core OS 5.2.19965, Build 19965 (AKU1.2.3)
- ROM Date: 22.09.2008
- RAM: 85,32 / 53,69
- ROM: 116,80 / 105,37
And it has the full Windows Live app suite with Hotmail, Messenger, Spaces, Search and Contacts! But I can't flash the 1.71 Radio on my 16 keys German MDA Touch Plus (Niki200), it stops at nearly 99% with an [Error 226] : FLASH WRITE!

Is wifi enable in this new upgrade? Probably not as no one mentioned about it I have doubt if full supported wifi hardware will be there in niki..

I´ve been trying some SO - Radio combinations, and so far none of the 1.58.XX.XX radios are working on this ROM(no sound, no camera). 1.64.XX.XX same thing.
Only 1.65.XX.XX are working.

HTC Touch Dual (NIKI100) Radio is: 1.58.1627.
Do I have to update the radio to 1.65 ? if so,...um...how do I do that?
Which WM6.5 Rom would I then need to flash to end up with 6.5 in english on my Touch Dual?

Thanks for your reply..yes. I've been reading these forums for around 2-3 years now so I know the roms are out there of course, but that wasn't my question. I have seen some horror stories too of some people upgrading and having the wrong radio version installed and ending up with big problems. My Touch Dual is quite old now with an older radio version than most I see here. So, of course I can download a WM6.5 in english, but my question is firstly, can I upgrade the radio version (without my phone being rendered useless !)because it seems that most 6.5 versions require a radio of at least 1.65 , and then a suitable version of WM6.5 after that. Just need a yes or no answer really...

an official 6.5 rom for the nike is not available! the last available official htc rom for the nike is a 6.1, but i think htc dont release a official 6.5 rom .

upgrade 1st to latest version of 6.1 available from HTC ( official version that match you CID/language).
this will upgrade your radio so you don't have to upgrade radio, also you will have a original rom that your original spl will accept if you mess up ( forget to HardSPL ).
run SoftSPL and flash HardSPL 1.22
flash a WM6.5 rom
you could brick your phone but i think the dangerous part is flashing HardSPL.
while original SPL is there u can flash original rom (WM6.1) and after anything by starting into bootloader tricolor screen (Pwr+Camera after reset).
