Awesome ROM. super fast. I found a cab for Random Access and for HTC Tasc Manager, but I am missing the USBtoPC Pop-Up that works (I use mass storage a lot) and Enlarge Start Menu. The cab's I have found here and on PPCGEEKS are no compatible. Can you offer any help there?
If not, I am still def going to keep running your ROM. It is by far the fastest, nicest rom I have used and for someone who uses their PDA businesss first, toy second, it is great. Thanks.

This ROM could be the most perfect ROM for me....EVER! I don't like TouchFlo (i'm sorry, I just don't), don't use most of the things that are included with most ROMs (PHM Regedit cause I use Resco Registry, etc etc etc) so I really just like to use MY stuff. I look forward to flashing this and seeing what it's like. Thanks lllboredlll!
I have an update coming soon so keep a watch on the thread. I will most likely remove PHM and a few other things so it can be completely clean. Yes TF sucks and kills the performance.

Hello,
First off I would like to say you have provided a very smooth fast rom and I thank you much for it.
I have been having a couple problems so far and would like to see if its just me or not.
When texting it sometimes will not switch screen orientation when i slide out the keyboard. That is a minor thing, the larger problem I have been having is battery life issues. My phone has gone from full to nothing in 8 hours with maybe 1 hour to 1.5 hours of talk time and 20 txt/emails. I was wondering if this is a known problem or just me...

If you are running the TF3D ROM you can expect to see those exact issues aswell as a RAM leak. I ran the base ROM and it has minimal issues if any. Actually my battery life has got very impressive compared to the other ROM's I've ran. Only time I have noticed the screen issue is when I'm in a hurry and I bump the slide which triggers it to land then back to port then I open the slide fully. It kind of hangs it up until I close and open again.
I was running the base rom then I did the manila cab install. I have always had problems with windows based phones though, they just dont like me. I have had the q 6700 6800 qm i760 or whatever they called the second q its always the battery draining too fast that pushes me back to other phones...
Alot of it has to do with a huge screen. Then you have to take into account Windows anything sucks whatever the hell it can out of devices, pc's and such. I will say, I'll never go back to a regular cell phone. Too much potential here. Spare battery helps ALOT.

I was thinking the same thing when I saw those Icons...
mates, we are stealing from M$ & HTC unless we create Door Mobile 6.1
Flashing right now, will report tomorrow about the battery.
That's most likely temporary, will jump on the first WM 6.5 Rom that comes in WWE.
I feel like back in the days when WM 6.0 came out for the prophet. The biggest wave of roms is yet to come

First Impressions so far (6 hours usage):
- Battery seems fixed, one day of normal work yet to come ... but only 5% lost during 2 hours while going out an showing around.

- boots f***ing fast
- (old) Google Maps integrated. Don't get it, new version available for at least a month, Latitude available for 2-3 days
- Manila behaves really good. Never use it, but before customization i usually scroll a bit around and this time i really considered keeping it.
Besides: The ugly WAP-Symbol for Internet disappeared at last.
- Bluetooth, WiFi, 3G working as usual. V14 had an error where "Add new device" in BT sometimes was second in the list (ok, no real bug)
- colored icons are nice, i think the connection-strength-symbols for 3G, GPRS and EDGE are a bit out of place.
Bugs so far:
- Opera Browser spoofs User Agent now, so you cannot download new google maps. Tried to disable "spoof user agent" in opera:config, but no success so far
- In Opera: If you press Sym on the keyboard once the screen "flickers" somehow and the text-selector disappears. Pressed twice the menu shows up, but you have nothing selected so it gets inserted nowhere...
I will try to reinstall opera by cab
- SIP: sometimes even if you have disabled automatic word suggestions it comes up nevertheless
Nothing else so far, tested mails, AS, some games, installed Resco, MortPlayer, ... beautiful ROM so far, even though i'd like a more cleaner rom (no PSShutdown, Google Maps, Icons, ...).

Can You check one thing?
Open some window, for example, messaging and slide out keyboard. Does it hide this window?
Hmz this version keeps crashing if i cald some 1,or they call me.
If i hang up the conversation tf3d hangs.
And yes i did a hard reset before and after flashing

Im liking this rom, as expected, but it would be even better without the slide to answer thinge.

install switch off GPRS (disable this function), your PPC 'll be fine.

Igo 8.3 is workin for me...
A really good rom, as just all PDAviet roms!
IMHO only the slide2answer is not optimal.

I'm curious, is 6.5 (in this ROM version) fast and stable yet? I'm still running one of Michy's awesome 6.1 ROMs, don't have the time to play with 6.5 unless it's comparable.

It's a version of the OS that hasn't been officially released for our phone yet, was just announced about a month ago (officially), and you want to know if it's all sorted out like a fully tested and vetted 6.1 ROM?!

Icons that look fuzzy/pixelated are listed below (they just mainly do not look smooth like the other icons next to them that are very smooth)
In Connections: Connection Speed, Comm Manager, Network Settings, Wireless Lan.
In Personal: Menu Settings, Organize Start Menu.
In System: .Net Configuration, Backlight, Comm Manager, Device Information, Format MicroDrive, KeyLock, Keyboard, Languages Switch, Microphone AGC, Quick GPS, SUB Display, ROM Information, SMS Mode, Task Manager (HTC), USB To PC, WOW HD Settings.
In Start Manu, Programs: All in VJ Candella, Addins, Bluetooth Explorer, Comm Manager, GSen & GSen Toggle, ICSControl, PIM Backup, Pocket RAR, Pocket Screen, Remote Desktop, Search, SyncroTime, TCPMP, Total Commander, Tray Launch, WMWifiRouter.
Something else i noticed, some of the apps I have installed look this way as well perhaps some device identifier not correctly telling the apps that it should be VGA res.
This is by no means a show stopper nor does it affect uasbility or performance, just appearance. You are known for roms of the highest quality and I just wanted you to know.

Please keep in mind that these are leaked internal MS builds that are beta and ported to use on devices they were not compiled for by our awesome rom cooking community here so each new release is a step closer to the fully released & mainstream WM6.1 roms but they are still in "Shakedown" stages. I am very happy to be able to run them even with some quirks, thats why we are here yes?

Would it be possible to create a Vanilla Version of this awesome ROM?
So far Michy you are the only one I see still giving faith to those wanting more from their Athena, it's much appreciated. Many of the additional programs that included in this Beta I don't use and the space is becoming very limited.
Thank you soo much for you effort in carrying the tradition of the rest of the ROM with our beloved Athena.
PS: My athena isnt my primary device and is being setup as a CarPC while my Raphael is my main phone. Windows 6.5's interface makes for a great CarPC Interface. Thank you!
Michy, thank you. I just flashed it on my device and it its running smooth (except the menu's).
sometings I've found so far.
*when I use the camera the devices performance is cut by about 1/4th even after i close the camera app. I can only get back up to speed when soft reset.
*is it possible to change the dialer? this one is really slow.

Was intrigued by the minimalist approach so downloaded your ROM last night in addition to a mediumist (Surface) and a maximalist load (eNRGy). Ran them all and they were ok and pretty. But oh so slow. Installed yours last and it was fast and stable. I do add for my own tastes, mostly SPB Mobile Shell (3.0.1) and Skin Changer (4.1.3), but thats about all in the nice-to-have category. Your build is in the same vein as Da_G and Monx (whose ROMs I have been using for years and whom I think the world of; but who seems to be easing out of the ROM Chef business probably because of all the crap that folks demand of chefs.) They are fast and stable people and not so much into adding the kitchen sink. Well done and thanks.

Green theme by the talented Mobile Matt, still in production though! Should be right for you though!
Where's the screenshots?! I wanna see it. Sounds exactly how I build my ROMs except I install Volume Control, HTC X-Button, Notification Manager, and the latest Google Maps (always handy).
The Notification Manager isn't a big deal if you use the CHome homescreen, but it is very handy for Dismissing all the notifications at once (like Missed Calls and Voicemails). I like it personally because it prevents the ugly popups when you accidentally tap a taskbar icon.
Volume control is a must but has it's issues with the default dialer. I'll either hard-code the reg key for the in-call volume so it is turned all the way up or I will just install the HTC PhoneCanvas dialer. Lately I have been using the Tachi dialer but it has lots of issues. Personally the official 5.11 Slide-To-Answer dialer works great. Or you could update the Default dialer skin which helps alot. I've tried several methods and all work pretty well.

I love this - I just love it. SO fast compared to the so called 'fast' roms out there. Of course it's fast, there's little on it. But that's the little I need
Now, that being said, are there alternatives similar in concept out there? I'd love to try out a few minimal roms.
Really like the ROM.. But I've got one question: Can't run Worms World Party.. Any idea what might be a solution...?? On other ROM's it works perfectly.. Really want it to work with this ROM..

Ok I've been using this for a month now, so I thought I'd post a review:
1) it's fast. It's very very fast. It's faster than anything I've ever tried on my HTC. Boot times, application load time, etc. Very fast.
2) it's bare. Very bare. In fact it's empty. Yet, for the purist like me, it can never be too empty. I'll be the judge of what gets installed or not, thank you very much.
3) load opera, gmaps and skyfire and you got yourself a very decent pseudo-MID. I don't use it for anything else, but I use these three very heavily, and this rom handled it very well indeed. Shame that the GPS on the HTC touch pro is not working as intented -but that's not this ROM's fault.
Now... how about an update? Latest drivers perhaps? An update is what we need.

Yes I used the 1.5 keyboard because the new 2.1 I or someone else need to get working forgot to mention it in first post I have also uploaded roms for Polaris and kaiser at the same time so somethings get lost in info

Great work mate. I tried your rom and found problem:
1. Touchscreen when using stylus is slow (some times work after tap several time)
2. Automatic 3G setting doesn't working. I tried several rom before, all of them will automatically set 3G on first use. Any solution for this one. I can't use my NIKI for internet
Keep up the good work. And by the way, I really love the new mega keyboard. Please implement it on next release.

2 little problems:
1. it doesnt flash the first boot screen (would be great if you could could provide a seperate ruu for the bootscreans)
2, everytime i install the wm7 titanium cab it hard resets the device...
Solved my hardreset problem. had nothing to do with your rom. Sorry for that. But i found some other things you might work on...
As i saw you tried to make xdaShutdown the default longpresspowerkey app. that didnt work. it executes the standard "Power Off - Do you want to turn off your device? Yes / No" thing.
It would be really great if you could tidy up the /windows directory. it seems to be full of lnk's to programs that are not installed (for example _IAgenda, iASetting, etc.). I know it's not a mayor issue but it would raise the comfort for users...
M2DC is not installed. Why? As far as i can see it works with the new manila.
The mentioned problem with using the stylus... it happens for example when your in the fileexplorer and there are more items than fit on one page. I have to hold the stylus down for quite a while to select an item. makes double clicking (for example in Total Comander) impossible.
It's stopping
my phone is having some strage freezes.
after some minutes it stops and frezes. The only way to get him back is to remove he batery. But then he hasks for the calibration and everything i configured and instlled is gone. The only thing that stays the same is the date.
Right now and for the last 10 minutes hi's in the 1st screen with the radio version.

At the very top of the screen click there (Where the battery, time, single strength is). This will show the drop down menu and clears the issue. Seems to be a little bug with the ported 6.5.1 Task Bar. Work on a fix for future release.

Cant flash it
Just giving you an update, I have the CDMA Touch Pro from sprint. I have found this thread in the CDMA portion of the forum but for some reason I cannot flash to your ROM. I WANT TO!!! but I just cant
I am unsure what the issue is, there are a few others that I have not been able to flash to but they are few and far between. Just FYI incase others are having thesame issue or if this is just a once in a blue mood glitch.

how much usable RAM is available with this ROM? if its any less than what I got with the 2.01ROM im not flashing it.

Attached a 3 row cab for you. Just install and re-start and you should be fine.
You are correct no WiFi sharing on this build. I will include it in the future.
Before I do anything...
I have a Verizon HTC Touch Pro (XV 6850). It is a company phone, however so long as we don't break it and it still works they really don't seem to care what we do to it.
The problem I'm having is that the stock ROM is so cumbersome and laggy. We run software for call tracking, and often times it will lock up. When a call comes in, the phone seems to freeze and it takes forever to display the contact linked to the number that's incoming. There's more, but that's the major pain of it.
I hear switching to a cooked ROM might help fix some of my headaches, however I'm really not in the mood to explain to my work why I bricked their $800 retail phone! I'm not a complete newbie when it comes to flashing phones, however I am when it comes to flashing CDMA phones.
So, all I'm wondering is with the information provided, will your ROM work out of the box? Has it been tested with Verizon? Are there any changes that may make work life intolerable, for example has Outlook been replaced with something else?

Thank you. I thought I had tried that before and had screen corruption issues. Seems to work well now, though.
