Dear zachthemaster,
best thing is to reflash. I know its a lot of work, but you started once with flashing, you have to continue
This way is called: Learning by error!
Sorry for you

Why reflash? Just do a hard reset and everything should be fine. You might also want to try to see if its usable enough to run pimbackup otherwise your backups are gone...Better luck next time.

Do not cross post the same issue. I will leave the thread in the General section open. However, this redundant thread is closed. Thank you for understanding.

[htmlhome.dll] SMS Fixs [now CAB available]

SMS (Short Messege Sevice) AKA Text Messege
Hello I'll make this short. For those who where having SMS issue when flashing new roms. Meaning you read the messege and didnt tougle up or down to select new text leading to manila saying you still have 2 messege unread. And in reality you already read them but the notice never cleared. To fix this issue you had to either highlight the bold text to clear it, or you could have switched off of threaded messeges. The problem come from a dll file called htmlhome. This file can be located in the windows dir and I am supplying a working dll file that I test myself and has removed this annoying bug for me so enjoy.
htmlnotetextmessegefix.zip
Here is how to install, with total comander unzip into the windows dir and soft reset. Test and you will see that it works
ps. I have a at&t fuze so please make sure you back up your original if this doesnt work for you.
UPDATE CAB VERsion
htmlnotetextmessegefix.cab
have not tested but same file, dont know if its unistallable, so be safe and back up, if you try this fix say thanks it will help those who are not aware there is a fix

not a problem, i dont know how this happene??? it worked fine for me. is anyone else having this issue would be great. when posting bugs can you specify if you tried other software prior to the fixs? what model phone ar you runningand is it a custom rom? dll files can be tricky but as long as you followed my directions you will be fine. i would suggest you do a clear storage and before you apply any other dlls try the one i posted and reply to this thread to see if you duplicate that error.
Hey, I just wanted to thank you for this fix. Its working fine on my AT&T fuze. No problems at all.

Well cant say I didnt post on the first thread to back up your dll file. I made a cab you can try that but its the same dll and you still need to back it up. but for the most part the files been a success. Good Luck buddy.
ps i tried the fix on the rom you asked for a fixs and it works on that one but the chef fixed it on his latest rom (currently testing without my dll fixs)
sorry wrong post

yeah back up your htmlnote.dll file somewhere out side of the windows folder. install to the device and it will install in the proper folder(windows)ps I didnt run it because its already fixed in the rom I am useing but it would be a good idea to keep this cab handy if you ever need it again

yeap. the process went smoothly.
so, u got to tell me how to move a file that says every time i try that its write protected? i have tried everything, i want to fix my SMS problem... the TC won't find my phone and im not the admin of my fuze so i cant copy or write or over write files.... HELP.
GREAT
Thanx this work perfectly..... I was gettin annoyed by it
Unfortunately, this doesn't work in Windows Mobile 6.5. It gives you weird artifacts in the threaded message screen. So heads up if you try to install it on a 6.5 build. However, it IS uninstallable (if you use the CAB). So don't be afraid to test it out!
Thanks!
Downloaded the zip file to my desktop, then activesynced it to my phone. Opened it in File Explorer on my FUZE and used the preinstalled zip program to extract the file to the Windows folder. It asked if I wanted to replace the file and I said "yes to all." Worked immediately! Thanks!

Accidentally Deleted mms.apk

So.. in trying to put a new messaging app on I deleted my mms.apk I had a backup of it but when I try to install it it says "There is a problem parsing the package".
Is there a way to fix this without reflashing the whole ROM?
thanks,cale
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=894794
If you have the original ROM that you flashed, unzip it, go in to /system/app and find the mms.apk
once you have that adb push it to the /system/app folder of your phone and youre good to go.
I haven't tried it but maybe using root explorer will work also if you don't have adb set up
hope this helps
Darn it, since this is posted in the wrong section, I got excited thinking there was a new mms.apk you were releasing..................................

Touche.. you are correct.. wrong section. My apologies, was working on the phone at the same time and not paying attention.
Hopefully a mod will shortly move it to the correct section..

I was just messing. Even if you find the correct apk, it probably isnt going to install for you - just push it to system/app and reboot and it will be working again.

No worries.. unfortunately I don't really know how to use ADB so just pushing it is a bit tricky for me. Working on it now.. but getting a bit lost.

Just use the app I linked in the above post. Go to the system section, choose either AOSP or the TW option, click generate zip and flash it with clockwork. Mms recovered
Sorry birgertime.. not ignoring your suggestions.. just didn't really want to learn a new program.. thanks though.
Guess I can put off ADB for another day as Root Explorer worked fine.. once I could move the file instead of copy it I had no problems. New mms that I wanted is installed. Well spent 4 bucks.. Root Explorere seems nice.
Thanks for everyones help.

[Q] Copy paste problem on stock ROM

Hi all,
I am having issues with copy and paste on my stock ROM. According to Clipper, nothing goes into the clipboard when I cut/copy text. I've tried this in S Memo, Gmail, Chrome, Messaging and Whatsapp, so it should be a system issue. Is anyone else having similar problems? Mine is running PDA: I9305ZHALI8. Any help would be much appreciated, thanks in advance!
Not mine. I've tried copying text from webpage to search bar, and even copied some text from Gmail to Whatsapp.
But...does I9305ZHALI8 exist? Mine is ZHALI7.
Where's your S III LTE brought from? Mine is HK.
Edit: Seen the upgrade. I decide not to upgrade first.
Fix
I hade the same problem, but i found a salution.
First open upp any root explorer app.
data and look for the folder named clipboard.
delite that folder and boot your phone in to recovery mode.
then you fix permissions.
hoped i helped
ansonscleung: I just upgraded today hoping that the update would fix this copy paste issue, but unfortunately it does not. I was on I9305ZHALI7 for almost two weeks.
Curwer: Thanks for your fix! I was hoping I wouldn't have to root but if I may have to do so if it really gets on my nerves...
sry I dont know any other way to fix this, maybe factory reset will but i´m not 100% on that :/

[Q] OOPS!

Hi all. i was fighting with rooting my 769 V10G. been giving me hassles all night.
somehow, i deleted the C:\ProgramData\LGMOBILEAX folder, which i need for root. i'm not sure where to get it back from. any ideas?
Hi.
try to restore from bin.
If you deleted the LG folder, you could just try flashing again. Make sure you have small server configured and everything else. Then when you start the LG Update Tool, it will create that folder again (I think). Then continue on with the guide.
Though you might want to wait for an expert for help (I am just a noob )

thanks. i'll try that when i get home from work. i tried extracting the bin zip and KDZ file again into harddrive, but that didn't do it. it wasn't even in the recycle bin.
That folder gets created by the flashing Tool. If you deleted it after flashing, it doesn't matter. If you deleted if before, just start again.
Also, did you look into your recycle bin?

Hehe, I discovered that. As well as you can't copy bin 6 before bin 7 is installed.
I have this all straightened out. if no one needs it, this thread can be closed.

CWM: Can only see backups in Recovery?

This may or may not be my first post but I've been on this forum for years now - I hope this attests to my searching ability and tells you that I am not someone who is lazy and didn't look up answers (Skip the next paragraph if you don't want to read the steps leading up to my issue).
I have a Galaxy S3 from Sprint. I'm running the newest Cyanogenmod on it (running 4.4.3) and I hate how large everything looks. Couldn't find a solution, so I decided to try and restore my old backup. The MD5 check failed, and the only backup I have that works is from May, or three backups ago. I read that I can force it to load by accessing the hash file and deleting the contents but I can't find my backups.
I've searched online several times and the only backup I can find on any Explorer (ES File Explorer, Astro Manager, File Manager) is the one from May which is on my ExtSD. It doesn't show up on my computer either when connected by USB. Booting into Recovery shows me the backups. I'm searching with hidden and protected files viewable/editable. I would've sworn to you before typing this that the other folders which showed up alongside the clockworkmod one were 0\ and [something else] but when I went to check again before posting this I saw that CWM says they're in the sdcard\clockworkmod\backup folder. I've attached screenshots to show you what I see.
Any help is greatly appreciated and my apologies if this has been discussed, but I've looked in every folder suggested and did a phone-wide search - nothing!
Edit: My girlfriend thinks I have a nice phone!!!!
