Cooking in NETCF3.5 - Touch Pro, Fuze ROM Development

I am having trouble cooking NETCF3.5 in. I am using the latest ROM. All I did was clean it out by removing mostly media files and a few apps. When I try to cook NetCF3.5 into the ROM it will not work. I have used OEM packages from Da_G and NATF both with no luck. Is there anything else that needs to be done for NETCF3.5 to work besides copying over the folders?
Thanks in advance!

The package maybe setup for a certain files and I think deleting it will cause error.
I have not problem with CF3.5 building using Da_G Kitchen.

Yes 3.5 is backwards compatible with all older netcf. Make sure you remove 2.0. Look in sys and make sure there is no folder named "netcf". Then add your netcf 3.5 to sys.
DSM files process in order so if your netcf comes after netcf 3.5 you will overwrite some of 3.5 thus making it work incorrectly.
I also recommend adding netcf messages as well.
If you have any more issues send me a PM and ill upload both for you when I get home from work.
EDIT: Awesome

Thanks for the help. I may not removed NetCF2. New at this and learing netcf messages is in there as well.

Guys,
I think I also having problem with NetCF, not sure what went wrong.
Diamond TF3D Config is not running in my ROM but Diamond Tweak and AdvancedConfig which I believe also depend on NetCF are working.
Any advise? I'm using Da_G's kitchen btw.
Cheers!

Sounds like a package error then. Are you using a premade package or did you make your own?

If I use normal kitchen, eg. juggler, etc then everything's fine but using Da_G's kitchen I had problem with Diamond TF3D Config.
I tried a lot of NetCF OEM packages, as well as created my own. Now trying yours, the one in Tilt's OEM packages Report back later.

I have found that some NetCF3.5 are giving errors with different programs. I have not tried my package I made with Diamond Config but will try. If it works you are more than welcome to have my package.
Edit
Well Diamond Config is working with my NetCF3.5. You can get it here http://www.4shared.com/file/87085992/700bfd57/NETCF35.html
Make sure you delete all NetCF folders and place this in the SYS folder.
Good luck

Thanks At0mAng,
Are you using Da_G's kitchen to cook your ROM? If yes, should I delete all the NetCF packages under PACKAGES folder, even I unticked them during BuildOS package selection?
Cheers,
V

No I am using a different Kitchen. Unchecking them should be fine and place the NetCF35 folder into the sys folder. Did you have both NetCF2 and NetCF3.5 clicked when building your ROM? As I found out having both cooked is not good.

Hi At0mAng,
Same result I tried both NetCF2 alone and NetCF2 with NetCF3.5 with same result. I think it's something to do with the kitchen.
Will try to use Juggler's kitchen and report back.
Cheers!

@At0mAng @aruppenthal,
I started from afresh, using the Da_G's kitchen, took only NetCF3.5 and other apps to the minimum and Diamond TF3D still gave me the error. I attached the screenshot here for reference in case some of you know the root cause. Thanks.

Your netcf 35 is not working. You need to put netcf 35 in sys not in packages. Make sure there is not a folder called netcf in sys. That is 2.0 you dont want that. My guess is you also need a new tf3d package.

Hi Aruppenthal & At0mAng
Finally Diamond TF3D Config is working Thanks for your help.
Kindly refer to DaG's kitchen thread for reference

DCD Titans 2.2.6 Rom - Java and Task Manager?

This may seem like a ridiculous question but - where can I find the Java Embedded Application CAB or is there a better solution out there?
Also, In WM 6.1 do you not need to have the task manager at the top right like on the Sprint TOUCH Model. I own both.
DCD! Excellent Clean ROM!!! Thanks!!!
Get to install what I need and only what I need...

TaskManager stopped working for me. I am using wktask

DCD's Java is Jeodek which isn't as good as JBed. I mentioned he should rename the cab in a thread but I'm not sure if he noticed it.
You can get the latest Esmertec JBed here:

jrebeiro is correct. I thought this was the Esmertec Jbed, oops. The Esmertec is better and his link is the newest one I believe.
AzureDigitalMedia is talking about the HTC taskmanager that lets you close out the programs from the right top corner. wktask works almost like the HTC Task Manager
i am still using x-button, cause task manager would not close certain apps for me (comm mgr). Hopefully you find a solution.
dwertz - That's absolutely correct - thats the one I am looking for... does it exist in CAB form somewhere... and Thanks to everyone who replied...

21042 or 21048 I'm not sure.
Anyway, you can dump any official build from Topaz or Rhodium or whatever , very easy with these tools , give it a try
I wonder where i can get a rhodium dump though or a later WM 6.1 build?
I found a Topaz rom with build 21051 but the build in this one is a previous build. I want to build my own rom with TouchFlo and manila from the rhodium (Touch Pro 2) combined with the other software from the Topaz. This in both Dutch and WWE... the current rom i have atm does all that i describe, but the battery is getting drained like hell... :|

That was:
udK Topaz R1 - Build 21051.1.6.4 - Manila 2.1 Landscape - base v1.40
The rom itself was awesome, good build, rhodium features, the works. But my battery didn't last long on that rom and wasn't really feeling like working out the reason for the problem.

[REQUEST] Tachi Phone Canvas VGA Port from new 1.28 ROM

Hi, someone can port to VGA the new Phone Canvas extracted from last Tachi 1.28 rom?
I hope it is more fast and light than previous one.
Here the 3 packages to port
Phone_Canvas_Enhancement_4_1_50020152823_0
PhoneCanvas_5_27_0_0
Slot_Manager_1_1_2015_3731
Is there anybody.... out there?

If I am to say, Tachi Phone Canvas has always been the slowest one... But it has an advantage that it doesn't need phcanvga.exe to work. So, what we need is not porting it, but removing the dual SIM support. So please change the title, because those who know to port Phone Canvases may not know how to work on this.
as far as i have read the slot manager does all the dual SIM stuff
so that needs to be modified....
so why dont you try to cook phone_Canvas_Enhancement_4_1_50020152823_0 and PhoneCanvas_5_27_0_0 from your source and use the ported slot manager from earlier port

Well, I once did that in an older version, but it didn't work, so I don't think it will work, but at least you can try.
I have tried to cook a rom with the packages on first post. Results are:
- incoming call works perfect,
- outgoing call don't works: phone shows always the message "phone is off. Turn on?" but nothing happens.
- keybord dialer is cutted
Slotmanager problem surely.
Some screenshots
i tried to mix up some new and old files and it resulted in a "shifted down" keypad (like it was WVGA). but at least it didn't say "phone is off". will investigate more this evening.
btw, does nobody know what was exactly edited on previous tachi dialer version to work on diamond?

No. They can be different, because the Tachi Phone Canvas port here on XDA not only removed dual SIM check but also modified the Phone Canvas layout and many other thing.
cubetto,i think your packages on first page are corrupted..many files are missing inside
edit:
i don't know what every dll does so i tried to overwrite each one just to see what happens.
PhoneCanvas_5_27_0_0 package:
phonecanvas.dll --> can be overwritten without problems, the dialer still works properly. that's good i think?

phcanrc.dll --> dialpad is shifted down..looks like it was WVGA. i can barely see the "call" button. videocall switch is present??? calls still work

I guess he didn't miss any files, and porting doesn't rely on these dlls, it's related to Slot Manager. You may try to overwrite SlotMgrInterface.dll, SlotMgrService.dll and SlotManager.exe.

Is there something like SDAutoRun to install most used programs at new rom install?

I have about 7 programs that i use on all new roms is there something like this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=366333 but is a lot simpler to use that can just auto install programs after the flash?
Thanks
Create "Autoinstall" folder on your SD card and put the cabs in it. After you flash the ROM it should automaticlly install all the cabs, but the chef needs to integrate this function in the ROM.
Cheers!

[Kitchen] osKitchen + Manila 2019 UPDATED

Hi all, I decided to upload my own kitchen for the Raphael. As all the existing downloadable kitchens i've seen for our devices are still Ervius's kitchen, i thought i'd add the latest ondRasters/airxtreme's AMAZING NEW kitchen to the mix. Its the latest (as of now) OsKitchen Zero v1.31RC2 loaded with WM6.5 build 24620 and the Manila VGA port 2016 - This kitchen has ONLY WWE files included as thats what i cook but you can easily add other languages for new builds. It has many apps included and tweaks.
I would firstly like to Thank SilentP - he very kindly shared his kitchen with me and without his help i'd still be struggling with cooking Manila (sooo many files!!!) - you'll still see some of his files in my new osKitchen. Thanks to airxtreme and ondRaster for their excellent work on osKitchen. Programatix for all his work with Manila 2016 VGA port and all who worked on it including mkucuksari, ted973, Madnish30. All who's apps i have included and tweaks i have used. And obviously a HUGE thanks to all at XDA-DEV/mobileunderground/DFT/Boomer/mwang and all who contribute.
If i have included your work/mod/app etc in my kitchen and haven't mentioned your name then please let me know and i will add you to the list immediately and please accept my apologies in advance.
You can find the latest info and updates for osKitchen by airxtreme here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=628948
For ondRasters original osKitchen thread see here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=581715

If you have trouble extracting the files then please download the latest version of 7zip here: http://www.7-zip.org/
If i add/change anything on my own kitchen in the future then i will upload the change here so you can add it to your own kitchen if you want. Its worth keeping an eye on airxtreme's osKitchen page as well because he is continually updating it and adding new features etc - osKitchen....The best kitchen available!!!
If you find i have left any of my own personal data in then please let me know and i'll remove it.
Also if i can be of any help then please let me know

Hey yasirriaz1977, Hope you enjoy. It has a WM6.5 NK incl so no need to recmod anything. Its stripped down to 0409 (ENGLISH) as thats all i use but you can add other languages if you need to.

Thanks, now I get to play.
21xxx branch
Hi. Would it be possible to include some classic 6.5 build i.e. 21911 (with win icon in the upper left screen corner)? Unfortunately 6.5.5 builds cause graphics distortion in many apps, so plenty of users (like myself) prefer to use older branches...

Hey rabinhood, Its so easy to import new builds with osKitchen. Just download the build number you want from DFT or Chef central then use the import tool. The more builds i add, the bigger the upload which is why i stripped out all the other builds - i don't use COM2 branch.

First I forget to tell you , Thank you for your kitchen
Second , I'm still have the extracting problem after download the last 7z version , now i'm downloading all files again and we will see
Hey zinzar, maybe your Antivirus app is getting in the way of the extraction. There is a file inside the kitchen (osnbtool) that my AV app doesn't like (Norton IS 2010). What i do when i download a kitchen is firstly disable the antivirus app and download the file(s). Then i extract out the kitchen to where i want it then add that dir to the 'ignore' list in NIS - this way NIS won't keep removing osnbtool.
The files are fine.

Hey zinzar, I don't cook WM6.1 and have never bothered with the 20***/21*** branches, i like the new GUI with COM3/5 builds but if you want to add it to your kitchen then it should be a simple import process. airxtreme has made importing new builds etc very easy with this kitchen.
As a general rule COM2 (21***/20***) builds are classed as 'fast and stable' and up until a few months back i would have agreed but with our devices having enough free RAM i see no reason not to have the latest GUI and feature (threaded email etc).
My old ervius kitchen had lots of builds and different versions of apps/tweaks etc in but was HUUUUUUGE and VERY MESSY!!! This is why i started to use osKitchen. I wanted to remove all the old tweaks that don't work with Manila 2016 etc and ONLY leave the newest versions of apps and tweaks that i use - this way i have a nice clean easy to use kitchen, which i thought i would share.
Let me know if you still have trouble extracting out the files.
