Flashing different Language stock? - Touch Pro, Fuze ROM Development

Hi,
i have a German HTC Touch Pro, today i downloaded the _HTC Touch Pro_RUU_Raphael_HTC_WWE_5.05.405.1_R_Radio_Signed_Raphael_52.58.25.30_1.11.25.01_Ship.exe and tried to flash my device with it. I got the error wrong vendor id. Is there a way to flash the English stock rom to my German device? Can i simply use the Hardspl to unlock my device and use the RUU_signed.nbh (via SD flash method) extracted from the installer or will this brick my device? My TP is not branded.
Thank You

From my understanding, Yes you can. Once you do HardSPL you are Carrier ID unlocked, which would allow you to flash other Touch Pro roms, even if it's not the same language.

Hi,
i found this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=468323, will this CID lock be a problem? Or can i really just flash the WWE stock rom without bricking my TP?
Thanks

Well, i tried it and it was working.

Fall Back to Original Rom (Tmobile)

Hi @ all...
so time has come i will return my phone to tmobile, because of the heavy problems with the slide-out-keyboard. i tried to solve my keyboard-problems with the orignal shipped rom, but i realised that it doesn't matter which rom i flash to my phone, the problem seems to be of hardware-ish nature...
so now my problem is: i want to fall back to the original state...
i want original IPL,SPL,OS,Radio, Boot, etc etc...
i tried to flash the "Original Shipped TMOB101" from the wiki, it flashed nice with CustomRUU...the original flash utility couldn't find my phone.
so i unpacked the exe and flashed the nbh with CustomRUU... flashed nicely, but didn't boot... first problem: whitescreen, second: hang on windows mobile screen, third: NOGSM... tried to flash newer GSM 1.43. this worked nice then, but isn't original... any idea how to get the 1.05.02 radio running? tried to reflash the complete tmobile nbh again, same result.
tried to flash with Vista, and also with XP, nothing changed...
next problem i assume is: how to downgrade SPL? and how to detect Bootversion? could it be, that i flashed some newer boot in between, because, i have always flashed newest radio roms, could it be that i flashed a boot together with a certain radio?
hope someone can help me... my device is also simunlocked, i hope they do not recognize it at tmobile. but i want to get everything else into original state before returning.
greetings
garfield
There is now an official wm6 update which you can use
it's available here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=337163
If you're wondering if it's properly been released, it's also available on the t-mobile business site.
Shaks
shaks1979,
I have just been to the tmobile business site and I cannot find the WM6 update - please can you post a link to it?
many thanks,
Paul
the german t-mobile site dies not offer to download the upgrade yet.
flashed the new WM6 from t-mobile yesterday, and it works really great, but my keyboard isn't functional anyway...
has anyone an idea how to enable the flash-utility to overwrite the SPl and IPL? because my tri-color-screen reads IPL-1.01 and SPL-2.10-Olipro and this means, both of them have not been updated... any way to overwrite these rom-sections with the now tmobile ones?
so when finished upgrading (IPL and SPL have to be upgraded before i can go on) i will return my phone to a tcom store, they have to bother with my keyboard issue... my phone isn't a half year old by now... keyboard issues like this shouldn't be there i assume
greetings
and thanks for the new wm6 links.
garfield
Extract the nbh file from the T-Mobile ROM and flash it with CustomRUU. This will overwrite IPL / SPL
[...see reason]
which settings do i have to use with CustomRUU? do i have to select same radio-buttons as always? (SPL 2.10-Olipro/Is it HardSPL) ?
okay, so i found the option via try and error i had to use use: Force UNSAFE SSPL.
i have another question now:
as far as i know, t-mobile DE has not released this ROM to its customers via their website, so i have to flash my phone back to WM5 original rom, and bootloaders, because this new tmobile rom didn't make my problems with the keyboard go away.
my local store told me that they will send the device back to tmobile, and tmobile then will repair or exchange the device.
so if they send it back to tmobile, i uess i have to put it into original state, haven't i? cause flashing the rom causes loss of warranty, doesn't it? i hope they will not recognize, that i sim-unlocked it (did not touch the CID).
problem occurring: i extracted the nbh from the original shipped-archive and flashed it with CustomRUU but when booting NO GSM shows up, and windows stops booting during first bootsplash... sometime during second bootsplash... any idea? might it be that it was like this, because of olipros 2.10 SPL?
greetings

I wonder why you SIM unlocked your device?
The German Hermes never was SIM locked, so, there was no need to unlock it!
You will either have to Soft-CID-unlock or Hard-CID-unlock your device if you want to flash it otherwise it won't work!
What settings are you talking about? You simply copy the nbh file to the CustomRUU folder and run the UPDATE UTILITY in there! There are no settings, it works the same way as the utilities from shipped ROMs - simply follow the instructions on screen and do not plug out nor touch the device until the job is done!
So actually it is not a hermes, it is a MDA Vario 2 from tmobile, isn't it?
partly you're right, the device wasn't sim-locked, but net-locked, wich means i cannot use my second sim card from vodafone with it. so i had to unlock it.
(i tried without unlocking, the phone asked me for a certain code and no, it was not the pin-code from the vodafone-sim )
if you launch CustomRUU you are asked for the version of your SPL, at least this is what happens when i start it. if you cannot imagine what i am talking about, i will make a screenshot, for better understandings.
I had Hard-SPL installed, this is a form of SOFT-CID-unlocking?
with having Hard-SPL installed i could not boot the original shipped german TMOB101-rom from the wiki...
can i flash the old ipl/spl/radio/os without worries?
greetings
garfield
Within the CustomRUU folder you should see a file called ROMUpgradeUt.exe - this never ever asks for SPL, it is nothing but a modified FLASHING UTILITY.
i only have ruuwrapper.exe
i used this customruu v5.2 from olipro's thread
what customruu are you talking about? actually i never saw a file named ROMUpgradeUt.exe
where to find?
thanks for your help.
greetings
garfield
EDIT:
i have just found this:
NOTE: If your radio version is currently HIGHER than 1.27.00.00 then it is very likely the radio bootloader is version 0108, this WILL NOT allow the radio to be downgraded to a radio containing BL 0106 and will result in a "NO GSM" error. As with other downgrade guides this is NOT intended as a guide for claiming the warranty of the device having flashed components which are not authorised by the manufacturer or carrier.

Unlocking & installing a new rom on a different language on a G4

Hi there,I have a MDA Vario from T-Mobile UK and is SIM locked :| as far I know to unlock it is doing it throught IMEI and paying isit?
Once unlocked I need to change the language from english to spanish,I dont know where to get the ROMS from,I found a cooked one but I would like the default one from WM.
If I install any room or cooked rom do I need do like the G3 series,CID unlock etc?
Thanks!
Firstly, you messed up SIM lock and CID lock. SIM lock only limits the carrier you can use. What limits the flashing of unofficial ROM is CID lock. SIM lock can be removed using lokwiz, CID does not (on G4). And No, you don't need to pay for unlock now, see below.
Before you can proceed, you have to find a Official Spanish Wizard ROM (Does it ever existed? I don't know)
Then, use typho5 to verify that the ROM does not include IPL/SPL, or you will need to rebuild the ROM that doesn't include the two files, otherwise you will most likely brick the Wizard.
After you get a correct ROM, use HardSPL or SoftSPL to overcome with the CID flash protection, then use RUU to flash your desired ROM.
Study the stickies are most important.

Few questions about roms

Hi guys,
I´ve read a lot of posts here at xda.
But i have few questions before i try to upgrade.
First of all, my RADIO version is not listed anywhere here. It is 1.58.21.26. So if i SuperCid it, is there a problem to put another radio version?
2 - If i install another ROM(original or cooked), is there a way to go back to the default rom that it´s in my phone? even after i installed other radio version?
3- supercid, hardspl, sspl or uspl? wich one is better or keeps my original rom and radio??
Thanks!!!!
1. If you CID, and use HardSPL (1.22 latest i believe) you should have no problems flashing new Radios or ROM's.
2. When you flash a new ROM your current one is over written (after you have flashed it you have to set up the OS again - all data stored in phone memory will be lost).
3. They are all different Things. HardSPL permanently updates the SPL on your phone allowing you to flash a new ROM when ever with bricking your phone. SSPL (SoftSPL) allows you to flash a new ROM (or radio, or hspl) 1 time then returns to the normal SPL. uspl, I'm not sure about I have never used it before. and CID unlocks the device to all networks and allows you to flash any ROM (rather than just ones from your carrier or official HTC ones. NONE of these will preserve your ROM if you flash a new one. however if you just flash these bits they should not effect windows or your radio.
DO NOT put a new ROM on your phone until you have unlocked it and put HardSPL or SoftSPL on it. If your brick your phone its near impossible to get it working again!
Questions before proceeding.
My HTC NIKI100 was unlocked for any carrier through the IMEI code, it also has the original radio 1.58.21.26. Perform the installation process of HARDSPL 1:22 as the tutorial here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=355730 and got success! now I can put a new radio or need to do the procedures as SuperCID here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=395945 ???

[Q] HELP: Having Issues Reverting back to stock rom

Howdy all,
Had ANdroid on the HD2 and wanting to revert back to the original ROM.
Have downloaded a stock rom (3.14 WWE) and have used task 29 to clean up the phone.
Trying to install the rom gives an error: 209: Invalid Vendor ID.
THe phone shows it get to 1% and then reset itself.
I have tried 1.32 Radio, 1.66 and 2.08, all giving the same result (Except for 2.08 wouldnt even get to 1%)
Completely stuck here...
Any help would be great.
Also, read about flashing from SD, but because i've used task 29 the phone has no ROM to boot to. Plus I couldnt figure out how to extract the RUU_signed.nbh from the original .exe
Maybe i've done something wrong?
Any help would be great.
Cheers
Oky, lets start with the beginning.
Error: 209: (Invalid Vendor ID) means that the stock ROM you are try to install isn't the right one. Probably you have a branded device; ore you need to install a otter aria Rom.
Secondly Stock ROM 3.14 isn't compatible with HSPL; so you need to remove it (use HSPL2_RUN.exe to remove HSPL and select SPL 1.66 instead.)
PS, you don't need to install separately a Radio version. Ons you have install Stock Rom 3.14 you will have automatic Radio 2.15.50.14
The important thing is to install a correct stock ROM who match with your device. (witch was your official ROM version?)

Stock ROM 3.14 WWE (3.14.413.2) can't be install on a Thailand Rom version !?
Secondly Task 29 isn't compatible with SPL 3.03 neater.
Thirdly I don't see way you need to revers back to a stock ROM (because you mention that Android was the reason (Android isn't install on your device, but on SD. So it don't change your internal ROM))
Okay; what you can try to do is flashing over SD.
but you need to use a original stock ROM and not the WWE (3.14.413.2) you need the version of Thailand (if this was your original!?) (Asia_WWE_3.14.707.3)
- Download your original stock ROM
- Use WinZip to extract it; and extract the RUU_signed.nbh file
- Rename the .nbh file to "leoimg.nbh" place it on a SD (take a 2GB SD) who was been format (FAT32)
- Shut Down your device, enter your SD, hold volume down button, and shortly press on the power button.
- follow the instructions on your screen.
But like mention early'r you need to use the right stock ROM version!

Based on the fact that stock ROM 3.14 use SPL 3.03 who isn't compatible with HSPL you can't change your stock ROM version by using HSPL.
But if you used the GoldCard technique you can install a otter stock ROM version.

Sorry sir, I can't follow you
You mentioned to have install Stock rom 3.14 correctly; but now you mention to have "SPL 1.66"
If you have install stock ROM 3.14 correctly like mention before you will have SPL 3.03!
And like I mention before if you will install latest stock ROM 3.14 WWE (3.14.413.2) on your Taiwanese device (x.XX.707.x) you need to use the GoldCard technique!
We dont have spl 3 could that be why the other ROMs woulnt work?
How do i get Spl 3?

When you install stock ROM 3.14 correctly it will upgrade automatically your SPL version to 3.03!
But it seems fore one ore a other reason it didn't do it correctly.
Connect your device by active sync, and run "RUU_Leo_S_hTC_Asia_WWE_3.14.707.3" as administrator, to install it again.
I don't know from where you get the original stock ROM; but to be sure download it again: RUU_Leo_S_hTC_Asia_WWE_3.14.707.3
I have no idea why it is still not working getting the same error as before, the only ROM that will install is the one that is not in english
I wont work it still gives me the same error as before invalid vendor .....
I dont know how to fix this i just want a stock ROM in english....

Sir did you listen/follow my previous instructions!!!???
You can't install a WWE stock ROM (3.14.413.2) on your Taiwanese device (x.XX.707.x) you need to use the GoldCard!!!
It didnt work, it still gives error and i tried the goldcard way but it doesn't load anything i quickly flashes a screen that says loading and then it goes back to the boot loader and just stays there.....

I have the impression that you are doing something that's isn't correct.
Lot of peoples who I know have used the Goldcard technique; and all without issues.
Ended up getting the goldcard to work (Used a different SD Card)....
However it STILL comes up with the same error. (If I try flashing wwe Asia from the sd card, it says " Not Allowed")
We have previously used all sorts or ROMs on this phone... but the same ROMs now seem to be giving this Vendor Error... It just doesnt make sense...

Getting stock vodaphone ROM back

Im sorry for opening a new topic. But i really dint find specific topic.
I have european 512 HD2 with HSPL, MAGLDR 1.12 and Android NAND
I need to return it to STOCK vodaphone (english) Windows 6.5. Here is what i know.
Flashing STOCK will erase HSPL.
But what is procedure. Should i only download the package and follow instructions like with normal procedure. I flashed 100 custom ROMS via usb and with HSPL. But i dont want to f-uck this up.
Another question is Which ROM to use?? I found this link.
http://www.shipped-roms.com/shipped/Leo/
but there are too many vodaphone ROMS. I dont understand what is differences between normal radio, signed radio, crc radio. And there are different versions of radios, i heard that you can brick it if you flash wrong radio.
Just a little instruction would be great.
vodafone lastest ship rom
how about here ,that is the lastest rom from vodafone uk

I want to return to SPL for warranty couses
Go to the link above and download the Vodafone ROM Update (dated: 2010-05-04).
Option 1
With WinRAR extract the files.
Rename the extracted file 'RUU_signed.nbh' to 'leoimg.nbh'.
Copy it to the root of the microSD Card (a 1GB, 2GB or 4GB are best).
With the phone switched off, press and hold the Volume Down button and then tap the Power button. The phone will boot up and then flash the phone with a 1.72 Vodafone ROM and the SPL will be 1.66.0000
Option 2
Run the downloaded file and follow the instructions. Now you will have a 1.72 Vodafone ROM and the SPL will be x.xx.HSPL
Download and run HSPL2. Select 1.66.0000 and that is it.
Just one question. Does it specificly have to be Vodafone ROM Update (dated: 2010-05-04) and why??
Why cant i flash recent one

It is just that you are returning it for warranty, so I was giving you the easiest options.
Okay then:
Option 3
Put your phone into Bootloader Mode, then connect to your PC.
Download and run HSPL2. Select 1.66.0000. Now your SPL will be 1.66.0000. If you don't do this step then the 3.14 ROM will have a very low amount of RAM, because the 3.14ROM conflicts with HSPL. Then HTC should suspect that you have been using HSPL, thus invalidating your warranty.
Download the 3.14 Vodafone UK ROM.
Put your phone into Bootloader Mode, then connect to your PC. then run the ROM. Now you will have the 3.14 ROM, 2.15.50.14 RADIO and SPL of 3.03.0000
