Clarivue Anti-Glare Screen Protector
It's solid, reusable and has a matte finish so it doesn't reflect anything! It's also scratchproof and, best of all, dirt cheap!
http://www.clarivue.com/detailx.asp?key=Screen_Protector_PDA_HTC_Touch_HD
You get 2 per packet. I just got mine in the post today and it's far better than the Martin Fields one I had on before

tbh if screen protectors really are good, they come one in a packet. With lifetime warranty.Like the cp armour one i got off ebay for £10

I hear what you're saying but trust me when I say this one is everything I've said it is. I'm so happy with it
LOL this is starting to sound like an infomercial
I think I got the CP armour one as well but I didn't like that it was rubbery and could only be used once (if we're talking about the same product, that is)

Better than the stock screen protector?
Since day 1 I have had the original screen protector on my Touch HD. It does work well, but it smudges so easy! I am reluctant to use another one because the factory shield looks so good when it's clean, and I have it placed perfectly on the screen. Asiede from the circle around the front camera, you can't even tell that it is there.
How does the Clarivue protector look regarding it's size and shape? Is it a perfect fit?

Do you not find that when its sunny you cant read the clarivue one?yes the cp armor one is use once,Although that is the idea of lifetime warranty?you should only need 1.I know the clarivue's come in a 2 pack but why?if they have lifetime warranty?

This is absolutely the best screen protector - tested!!!

I have the brightness set to auto
I think the point about getting 2 per case is in case you're a noob at installing them and get finger prints all over the stickier side of it
As for the size, it's not an exact fit, leaving a maximum of 0.5mm space around the protector

it looks like Zagg's IS!!

Matte screen protectors on a phone are TERRIBLE. I had the Proporta one and it make the crystal sharp screen appear to be speckled and unattractive. I had another OEM one from HTC and it is MUCH better, although it does scratch easily. I"ll be replacing it soon, but the one I replace it with must be crystal clear.

To each his own. I had a clear one and, no doubt it was nice, but the two main issues I had with it were that every tiny little scratch was magnified when the screen was on, it reflected EVERYTHING, and it wasn't as smooth when sliding my finger across the screen
I'll admit the matte protector will inevitably mean you will lose some of the screen's sharpness but that's not that big an issue for me because it actually looks quite good and hides any possible 'blemishes' in the user interface

try search for EXiM SPOC Screen Protector - HTC Touch HD (T8282) in EBAY..
i bought 1 but it's on the way..
I'm using it for my Nikon LCD.. very nice... perfect cut..
i think for touch hd also will be the same

regarding the clear coat protectors they are nice but terrible to use your finger to move around a weboage. try highlighting something with the stylus, its HARD because the stylus "sinks" in to the plastic. they are not good for TOUCH screens.

EDIT: comment removed I need more testing...

i got the the Ultra Clear and it's not green... the green part is the seal that comes on top of the actual screen protector.. once you peal the sticky side and apply it to the screen ... just peal the front side and all is ultra clear!

I bought a Boxwave - the one that cuts glare, not the clear one.
I like how it cuts the glare and fingerprints but it also cut the fantastic screen quality. It sort of looks "crystally" if that make sense!
I'm thinking to get a clear one for a better view at the expense of glare.
Does the clear one also stop finger prints too?

I've been using Zagg's invisible shields since i first got a Touch and I can't fault them. They can be tricky to put on but I found out this is one of the wife's skills. She just installed the one on my new touch HD yesterday and as usual it's great.

I will never understand this company!
Tell me dear friends why cant we buy from HTC a new original screen protectors? why we have to look for a bad replacement?
we bought the most expensive phone on the market and HTC doesnt count us!
and another Q
who is the IDIOT in HTC that put the reset button inside the phone?
and why we cant get a back cover with a small hole in it ,from HTC to fix this idiotic mistake.

Hello guy`s watch this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KSlx8K89PZQ
I think Clear-Coat make the best protectors!

I'm using Best Skin Ever...the DIY kind for my digicam, ppc, pmp, - so far it has served me well. Bought it in 2005 for my ppc and there's plenty still today to go around for more devices. The latest is for the HD - no scratches when using stylus or finger or nails.
Get a set of 3 (free shipping globally) and you can cut to size for any thing you want to put it on.

I just received an extremely professional install from Zagg (Invisible Shield) for $10.
I had to send it in however boy was it worth it.
I could never after many, many tries have gotten the quality that I just got.
$10 was not bad for no hassle.
I have a backup phone I used for a few days while it was gone.

G1 Screen Protectors

There's plenty of time to have them handy for the arrival of your G1 -- they're not listed as being 'included' at the T-Mobile product page: http://www.boxwave.com/accessories/t-mo ... s_3283.htm
Anyone thats on ebay check out this link I've got some on the way from this seller will check back and let you know if any good. 3 screen protectors for 10.50 after shipping.
http://stores.ebay.com/ScreenPatronus
I have used Zagg (previously ShieldZone) screen protectors for a few years now, and i love them! Once applied they are on for as long as you want, and last forever. They do not scratch at all. Not sure how they will work with a touch-screen but I dont see it causing any issues.

I still have the original plastic on the screen that came with the device.
So glad that unlike other tmo phones it wasnt printed over with the #646# stuff.
For now, it'll work, bubbles and all.

Me too, and the bubbles flattened out overnight, so I forgot this morning whether I had removed that plastic protector or not. I ordered the Zagg invisible shield for my PSP to test it out, see if I like it. My two big concerns are if it will be too grippy (with a touchscreen I feel like my hand should slide more) and that it might distort the screen. I've had some cheap screen protectors and they totally draw attention to themselves, I have one on my psp right now that makes it look like the screen is oily or something.
BestSkinsEver is a good deal too:

Worked well when I had it on my iphone.
I got the Invisible Shield from Zagg... it is a pain to put on... and I see small imperfections but they say it should go away after a few days. It came in many pieces. So I left the back one off as I don't see the point in protecting the pop off compartment.
Will tell you more later.

If you all decide to get the Zagg's, there is a banner (for me at least) on the top of the page... support your forums by clicking on it and purchasing that way. I am including the link here: http://pagead2.googlesyndication.co...ields.php&client=ca-pub-9796028472014192&nm=3

i'm using the original one it seems to work fine with no bubbles
I got the Zagg protector, like punkzanyj said, it's too grippy and there are imperfections that I don't think will go away.
I just ordered a different brand, I wouldn't recommend the Zagg product.
For those who don't want to go with InvisibleShield because it's full body or it requires a wet application, i'd recommend an Exim product. All their protectors are silicone static-cling rather than adhesive based, and the quality of the anti-scratch coating is pretty good. I've used the Exim protectors on three devices in the past (with no cases) and never had to replace them.
Webpage is here, but you can find the products easily with a search on eBay.
I couldn't put up with the bubbles so i bought a kit out the t-mobile shop which i had to cut to size...works nicely...
But now as i was going through the box found it comes with a free protector!!!
It's clear and might be hidden in the instruction book or something...remember it's see through so it's hard to find!! But trust me it's there...i've not used it though so dunno what the quality is like.
SPOC or SPUC?
Screen Cover separate than body or not?
I have noticed that several of the screen/body protectors for the G1 have either a screen protector as PART of the front body cover and some do not. I do feel a bit of a drop in elevation between the screen and the case around it does this make a difference? will the whole front cover style allow for a smoother transition from screen to edge? will the separate screen and body style have a catch at the connecting point?

Brando protector review
FYI, I ordered the anti-glare screen protector from Brando. It seems to be adhesive (not static), but is removable and re-applyable (and washable, which I've even verified).
It took a couple of attempts to get it on cleanly (it's easier when it's wet), but now that it's on it looks and works fine. Image quality is comparable with other anti-glare protectors I've seen. I got the anti-glare version mainly because I wanted a textured surface so my finger would move more smoothly across the screen, and it does make the screen a lot smoother to the touch.
It's not the cheapest one I've seen ($9, 1 per pack), but Brando has free shipping, so it does balance out a bit. (I also bought it at the same time as their 3-in-1 ExtUSB Headphone Adapter, which I do highly recommend)
PhantomSkinz Screen/Body Protector Review
I am not affiliated with PhantomSkinz in anyway, other than being a very satisfied customer.
I recently bought a T-Mobile G1 and started researching screen/body protection for it before receiving it. After reading many reviews and checking out other vendors of these products, I decided to go with PhantomSkinz after seeing pictures of a BlackBerry Storm they did.
They are located in Gilbert, AZ, so I was able to make an appointment and have it installed (for FREE!). If you are not local, you will get two sets of skins in case you damage one or mess up the install.
After 24 hours of drying, it looked absolutely perfect. There is absolutely no "orange peel" effect that people seem to get with vendors that use other films. The body coverage was suprisingly good, virtually every surface is covered (including media card door, USB port cover, etc.). I didn't expect individual pieces of film for the buttons, covers, etc.!
The only thing that bothers me a bit is that when the screen has large sections of light colors, you can barely see some lines in the film. I assume this is from the manufacturing process. At all other times, you cannot even tell the film has been applied.

Screen protectors Which one is best from these? (Which is like Hori)
Hey all, I know for handhelds, Hori screen protectors were the best, 100% no doubt. (Tho now you have to import em lol)
So which one would be like that for the G1? (Where it goes on super clean, easy and is high grade as Hori would be)

Definately this one http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=458998. Mine arrived just before Christmas. Niiiice.

The Zaggs are nothing like Hori. They have a somewhat textured surface and also require liquid to apply. I think the closest to Horis (that have precut sizes for G1) are EXIMs. You can find their products resold on ebay.

Brando screen protector

The ultra clear Brando screen protector for hd
1 It fits perfect (because is 1/2 mm smaller than the original and it fits perfect at the edges)
2 Covers the entire screen
3 it disappears the Whiteness under big viewing angles (this phenomenon appears with the original screenprotector )

i bought brando ultraclear. Now i'm waiting
I just ordered it as well.
Looks cool and got a lot positive reviews. Should be ok than
The Brando Ultra Clear fits perfect on the Touch HD.
For me I use the Brando´s screen protectors for years and I think it´s the best you can get.
I have the Ultraclear and found it is about 1mm too short - it leaves a very small amount of fascia just below the buttons unprotected.
That said, it is better than the rubbish one that comes in the box.
If you are in the UK, they are available from Inkino from stock.
I bought mine from xpansys which is quite good, fits brilliantly & covers full screen exactly. you get two in the pack

im also thinking of getting that screen protector. but yall saying is doesn't fit the whole screen. is it noticeable. can you guys show a pics with the screen protector on the phone. thanks in advance.
My Brando Ultra Clear arrived in yesterday's mail from Hong Kong. Now I feel like a total idiot ... I can't get this @&%@ thing to stick down and stay on the screen. How on earth does it attach? There's no adhesive or sticky side. I've spent an hour trying to fit it to the Touch HD. Lots of bubbles - the screen looks like it has leprosy. I've washed it, cleaned it, tried everything I know.
HELP! Please!!
BTW, it has a cut-out for the light sensor, but not for the front cam (which the stock HTC one has).
is Brando's soft film?
This screen protector is 100x better than the stock one, in my opinion. Here's a picture for size reference

Are you trying to put on the actual screen protector or the piece of film that covers the protector when you open that pack? I was doing this myself for a couple of minutes, if its the top cover then its quite rubbery and green tinted, the actual screen protector is probably still stuck to the back cover of the protector still as mine was.
As for the Brando protector once it's on its a lot more impressive than the HTC one from the box, there is a very tiny gap at the bottom of the screen but less than a mm and doesn't affect useage.

Thanks for replying, KASM! No, I'm using the clear Utra Clear itself and not the bluey-green film that protects the protector. The instructions say that one should fit the protector to the device and then remove the green film. I tried that, with no success whatsoever. After fiddling for a while the clear protector had fingerprint smudges, so I washed it (without the device, as the instructions recommend ), dried it with a hairdryer (as recommended) and tried for another hour.
This is rather infuriating as I'm considered rather handy with little tech thingies ... I can't quite change a transistor on the silicon, but doing electronics is a doddle, so why the [email protected]#& is this giving me such grief...
AFW, did you try the other side of this screen-protector?
Cos normally they have that sticky surface covered by this blueish-greenish film
Although I got mine on with little fuss, I must have made a hash of cleaning the screen as it shows as lots of dust particles underneath the SP, have to do the damn thing again after cleaning it.
Determined to get it right after spending so much on a piece of plastic.

Mine arrived this afternoon BUT after a number of failed attempts to get a perfect fit I think I might need to give the screen protector a wash
Does anyone have any tips on the best way to wash the screen protector before I try to reapply it (I suspect that flinging it in the washing machine isn't considered a good move )
I am waiting for my ultra-clear, i beg on my knees somebody with a "BRANDO deployment certification" to kindly explain the process so that i avoid to put my self-confidence at stake!

Custom g tablet XOskin screen protector

Hey all,
I am in touch with the people at xoskins.com for a screen skin for the g tablet. I have sent dimensions and photos and they are in progress on the design. This would not be a dry application protector that has air bubbles and peels up around the edges. Their protectors go on extremely well. I have put them on several devices with a lot of success. One has been on my phone for a year and it still is all the way down around the edges.
When I get mine, I can post some shots of it. Hopefully we can generate some interest so they can make more.
How much did you pay ?
Nothing yet, but I am guessing it will be $20. I also just saw the skinomi one for $15 shipped in the US. They look to be pretty much identical. The packaging and spray are almost the same as the xoskins I have gotten before (just different graphics).
This screen protector skin is now available on xoskins.com for $18 using the code tabletprotector20. as soon as mine comes in i can post some pictures. like i said before, these have worked great for me in the past on othe devices. btw, I'm not getting kickbacks or anyhing, just spreadin the word.

Just wanted to update that I got my xoskin. It is very much like the skinomi tech skin. I can hardly tell the difference. To me, I like the xoskin a bit better, I like the screen feel of it a bit better. Also, you can still get it for $20 shipped with the code from above.

Which is 30% more than the skinomi , not sure if the difference in the texture would warrant the difference in price.
That said, its good to know there are other comparable alternatives there (once skinomi jacks up the price again or terminate their coupon).

Screen Protector-Don't buy the military grade
I purchased some of these "military" grade screen protectors for the Evo 4g, but they really sucked to put on. So I searched on Amazon and ordered a matte one made by Aurum.
It's made from Japanese PET, which "supposedly" is the best, Got it a few days ago and it fit perfectly, more importantly there is no loss in sensation or sliding ability as it says. So I am happy, now I need a TPU case for it.

I see this is the same picture posted on amazon. How does it fit ? I can't see any cutting for the camera/sensors, do it cover the touch area or the whole bezel ?
Thanks,
No cutout for the camera/sensor, I put on the matte and it makes no difference that I can see. The Aurum screen protector on Amazon covers the ENTIRE bezel, so all the glass is covered (has the rounded edges for a tight tight fit). I attached a photo, don't judge me by my poor installation . All I care about is the smooth scrolling, and this achieves it, in my opinion.
I just saw they have a free shipping deal when you buy two.
Interested in drag component...
of the aforementioned protectors. The XOskin, Aurum, and Skinomi. Almost set to get a skinomi, but one complaint by some people is finger drag. How about the protectors the 2 of you have got? I'd almost forgo a protector if it's not going to give me a smooth surface. Thanks..
at least the XOskin HAVE the holes for the camera ans led flash and Aurum and Skinomi doesn't.

I was unaware that there was a flash for the G-Tablet, could you let me know where that might be .
As for the question above I can attest to the Aurum screen protector having very little finger drag(thats why I like it) and as to not having camera holes, well the 1.3 megapixel camera is not exactly great(I never use it). I use mine to browse the web, so finger drag is my main concern.
Aurum has a crystal clear one I think.....this will solve any camera issues. The link is below

Can you post a pic of the xo skins fit? Is it good? I have used their skins before and they are by far the best. Just wanna make sure it will fit right.
I got the xo skins gtab screen protector There are cutouts for the camera and light sensor.. The install took me two minutes. Steamed up my bathroom after reading some install reviews to drop the dust out of the air. Ill post a full review on here in a bit.
New Protector with Stylus
I have purchased another screen protector for my G-Tab, this time the camera cutout was present, as before it was simple to apply, peel and stick type of application. I chose to go with the clear one this time, because I began to use a stylus with my tablets which I LOVE. The protector is simply a safety measure to prevent any accidental scratches.

[Q] Skinomi?? Anyone used them before?

Anyone familiar with Skinomi? I went looking for the Transformer on Amazon (no luck here yet) and noticed this Skinomi company selling a screen protector and carbon fiber back thingy for the Transformer: http://amzn.to/hDSr1m
I've always gone w/ Bodyguardz and BSE, but I'm not sure if I want the "rubbery" feel type protector this time around.
My wife recently got a protector for her nook and it's much smoother when dragging around on a touch display. It was more rigid/plastic film - as opposed to rubbery like Bodyguards (and I'm assuming that Skinomi).
She got it from an ebay seller, but there's no description there on what the actual material is: http://cgi.ebay.com/3x-SCREEN-PROTE...625?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item4cf61a5df9
Anyone know what the more rigid/plasticy film types are referred to as - and who might sell them for tablets?
Have used skinomi screen protectors on past few phones and ipad1/2 and on xoom. I know some devices have gorilla glass, but i just like it being covered. Skinomi is my personal favorite after trying others like invisishield from zagg
I am currently using the skinomi screen protector and carbon fiber skin protector on my gtab. I really like the product and would recommed it. I'm in the process of selling my gtab and picking up the Asus transformer if I can find one at a local bestbuy.
Skinomi protectors are great for tablets that need one. The Transformer has Gorilla glass so no protector is needed.
Looking for a hard plastic (not film) screen protector myself. From what i'm reading it seems like the skinomi is a film, so it may be slightly grippy/textured like invisibleshields and bodyguardz. As for the back, the transformer's back is textured so i'm not sure how well the body film would adhere, if it was clear it has a big chance of looking like crap as it may not be able to get a tight fit, and if it was patterned, hell it might not even stick well and start peeling near the corners in short order.
How does the skinomi do with anti-glare? I want to get something mainly for the glare rather than the protection. Any suggestions?
I had the skinomi screen protector on my viewsonic gtablet but took it off after using it for about half a day. The material impaired the sensitivity of the screen when dragging. In Sketchbook mobile, this looked like a randomly broken line. Pressing harder didn't help the matter. Nor did recalibrating the screen.
On the plus side, there was no damage when taking it off!
I didn't see any significant improvement in viewing angle with the protector on the screen. As for glare, I never had my tablet out in bright sunlight but you could still see the reflected image of nearby light sources pretty clearly on the screen.
My 2 cents is that it's not worth it. The gorilla glass on these transformers is tough enough to resist scratches from dirty fingers and occasionally bumping from car keys and the like.
I bought two for the wifey and I. We actually like the feel of the screen protector. I'm super excited, I was one of the lucky few that got my order in at bestbuy when it was released on the 26th. Wished I paid for faster shipping though, but I will get it tomorrow.

I had a skinomi on my gtablet, with none of those issues. Its also the same material i have on my EVO. This is a wet apply skin, with the front it can take up to 24hrs for the screen to set and cure correctly, if you have moisture, or any creases , it will not work right. I recommend watching the video on the skinomi site for reference. The cool thing about the material though is that if you screw up you can carefully peel off and spray down and reapply. I have seen a lot of people in various reviews boo hoo the wet apply type protectors and I have to say that if done right they rock. I have already ordered one for mine because even though we have gorilla glass the skin will be easier to wipe smudges and oily fingerprints from and gives the screen a nice squishy tactile feel.
I sent them an email asking for a set consisting of screen protector, tablet skin and keyboard skin. Here's their reply:
Hello,
Because the tablet and the keyboard are sold separately, our kits for the tablets will only include the tablet itself. We will be selling the protectors for they keyboards soon.
Thank you for the inquiry.

Since I *love* how the carbon fiber skin feels on my Xoom I think I'll try it once the keyboard skin is out.

That's how we like it muahahah!
How is the overall fit? The one for my Xoom was a good millimeter to small on each side. Does the one for the TF fit "all the way"? I think I'll order one soon unless there's one coming out with better anti-glare properties
it fits very well. the width is just a tad smaller, but nothing noticeable if you apply it right in the center, mine was a little off center by tiny bit. Overall very pleased with quality and their service.
I know I have gushed about how I like the skinomi....here is another reason...ordered direct from them on Friday again , this time for my tf that gets here tomorrow. The skin went from CA to Dallas over the weekend and got here today.
Love fast shipping .... Plus who else packages in a tube ?

Screen Protector Selection / Suggestion

I thought it would be useful to state our experiences / suggestions from the use of different screen protectors on our XPERIA S.
As a start i have used 3 difefrent screen protectors from which i was not satisfied.
1) The first one was part of a cheap 3 pack set from ebay (cost $0,99 plus shipping). It was very glossy and it got immediately scratched just by my fingers - Not worth it
2) One called Brando. It was bubble free but it was very reflective so i could not see the screen outside but without rainbow effect Also it was a terrible fingerprint magnet and started peeling off within a week. Removed it
3) The one i have now is a GOLEBO one. As far as installation was easy and bubble free. It has the rainbow effect (which is annoying) and it attracts fingerprints a lot (but less than the brando one). Still have it attached but looking for a better one
Yes...get one of the official Sony screen protectors from Japan. ANYTHING ELSE is a waste of time...see my thread about them here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1762976
I have already seen the post but the shipping costs are really high...
i tried the one in the box, zagg invisible shield and xtremeguard....
xtremeguard is the best imho (i notice that is popular even in galaxy s3 forum XD)
The only thing that seems annoying on xtregurd it is the fact that it leaves unprotected the sony logo part above the speaker (as i see in the photos on ebay-i dont know if it is true).
Has anybody tried the http://www.ebay.com/itm/Sony-Ericss...cessories&hash=item564b0458b9#ht_4047wt_1163?
