Is it possible to take the HyperDragon IV IOLITE ROM for the HTC Kaiser and load it onto my ATT Fuze?
Would the phone still work or would it have a major panic attack and turn into a rock on its first boot up?
New to this so I apologize for my ignorance. I have flashed a number of different roms now but never from one phone to a different phone.

hello, you should be in the diamond forum, this is the raphael forum, you cannot flash a tytn rom to the fuze, go to the diamond forum, rom developement, then read the wiki, get up to date, then ask the questions, but again do not flash.

While the original post does mention "HTC Diamond" at the end, he's asking about flashing the ROM on his Fuze, so he's in the right forum.
However, as overhaulengines said, NO - you cannot flash a non-Raphael ROM onto a Raphael. If you did manage somehow to get it on, your Fuze would no longer be a Fuze, it would be a brick.
sorry, i was looking at his somewhat signature, it has "phone HTC Diamond". so i assumed he has a diamond and therefore in the wrong forum.

I know the rom of samsung, I've customized one rom for my cell phone, but in HTC its diferent.
There is many roms with different name.
So,
what is :

I say that there is 3rom, nomaly, radio and extrom for use TyTn.
Can you explain me more about that.

This First one is the Radio ROM...Basically what tells the phone how to act in regards to 3g, UTMS and all those "Radio" Fucntions.
The Ext Rom is stuff installed by the careers and sometimes includes APPS and settings. Also you can load programs in it. I have some instruction on how to do this in the wizard but I am at work now. Search the wizard forums and you should be able to find it.

Don't - but you can put a WM6 ROM spcifically for the Prophet that's had some HTC Touch features included.

Read, read, read and when you have finished reading...read some more then you'll be able to do an update that does what you want.
As 'zeroed' is saying, don't try to install the actual Touch ROM. You will brick your device.

Hey guys. I just bought a Hermes, switching from a Wizard. I just wanted to make sure i've got the facts straight. So to upgrade the ROM on my Hermes (which is currently a stock At&t WM5 8525 ROM) i need to first CID/Sim-Unlock the phone, flash a hardspl to it, and then i can flash any wm6 rom i want that is posted in the WM6 forum for the Hermes? Thanks, and sorry again for the post. One of the guides said if i was unsure about anything, i should ask.

I'm a noob when it comes to flashing Roms. I've never flashed a custom ROM before, only AT&T's WM6.0 upgrade when that first came out.
I have an 8525 and want to flash ROMeOS v4.21 onto it. I know I need Hard SPL which I downloaded (Hard-SPL-V7.zip). I downloaded this file http://rapidshare.com/files/136228827/_ROMEOS_421_ROM.ZIP, but now I'm not 100% sure what to do here. Do I need to download anything else? Did I even download the right thing? Could somebody hold my hand and help me out a bit? What exactly is the next step. How do I flash this ROM onto my 8525 now w/o bricking my phone?
I appreciate all the help, and plan on paypaling the creator of this rom, and hopefully somebody who helps me out w/ flashing the rom as well.
Make sure that the rom is for Hermes (HTC's name for your phone), never seen that one before.

That ROM is for the Kaiser. You WILL brick your phone if you try to flash that to your 8525 (Hermes)
Okay I'm glad I asked...After I flash a Hermes ROM on my 8525, maybe I'll flash this rom on my Tilt.
cool, just don't use the Hermes Hard SPL on your Kaiser...
hey guys, I have been reading these forums but I am still totally stuck..
I have a HTC TOUCH DUAL - no network branding whatsoever, details:
rom version - 1.31.710.12
rom date - 12/05/07
radio version - 1.58.21.23
Everytime I try to download the new WM6.1 ROM from the HTC website, it says that my serial number is INVALID. So I found a serial number someone posted on the forums for the WWE 6.1 ROM and typed it in...and it worked, I downloaded the ROM. But then when I connect my touch dual thru activesync and launch the ROM install program, it says that the ROM is not suitable for my device....
My touch dual was bought in Australia. It is definately a REAL one.
Also I am a complete noob when it comes to those "custom roms" for touch dual. Can anyone recommend me one to install??? Do i need to change the radio and uspl also?????

Other you can Flash HardSPL (or uSPL) to your Device. Tutorial for this you can find (pinned) in this Forum...
Be carefull and read all before do anything, otherwise you can damage your Device...
Never flash a ROM without HardSPL. Please refer to the HardSPL thread in this forum section.
