On my old Universal i was able to play .swf files in iexplorer with the fp7 plugin (just install the plugin and make a html file that opens the .swf file), on athene (with wm6.1) this doesnt work . Is there any Solution to play .swf files? The Flashlite 2.1 an 3.1 Standanlone Player also doesnt work, theirs always an error on .swf files over 1mb size (to many stacks or so).

Problem solved.
After Hardreset and installing FP7 swf files can be played with ie. Installed Opera 8.65 or 9.5 the swf Files cant be played again, even when i set the ie to standard browser.
Again Hardreset, made a backup of the whole registry (with resco explorer), installed Opers and reload the old registry. Now Opera and swf files are working

I have installed the latest Flash Player from Macromedia on my XDA1 (2003) 3 times. Each time it was apparently successful.
However, the machine refuses to recognise or play .swf files.
What does a guy have to do to get them working ??
files as in directly swf files or all sites with swf stuff ?
only tried the later and that dont cause any issues for me
not sure if the player support the executing of swf files directly though
Won't play files directly. Hmmm, good point thiugh, maybe it'll play files if loaded into internet explorer. Have to try that one.
on the site from macromedia, it says you need a standalone player if you want to execute the files directly, but i'm not able to open animations from within a website or my internetbrowser (IE) either.
Any suggestions?

I TRIED TO ADD THE FLV EXTENSION FOR THE TCMP AND ASSOCIATE IT TO THE TCMP FILE ASSOCIATIONS TO READ FLV FILES BUT NOTHING HAPPENED JUST A MESSAGE THAT IT S NOT A SUPPORTED CODEC

The cab file does not work for me also. Download the zip file and extract to the TCPMP installation folder instead.

when downloading some of the .cab files on my memory card , and then try to install , some programs cant install., i have the setup file converted into the opera icon.
so if and when i click it i get more or less black screen like opera program page .
how can i stop this , and make the cab file set up to default ., so they can be installed.

Hi, I searched a lot, to find a way to play VOB DVD files (mpeg2) and FLV files in my HD2. Here is how I did it:
1- download TCPMP-0.72RC1-GF5500Edition-Alpha4.1.CAB then install it.
2- download TCPMP.zip and extract it to the tcpmp's installed folder, and overwrite every thing. (This pack includes my own collection of plugins)
3- copy and paste your vob file to your storage card. Now you can change the extension to mpg, or you can set TCPMP to play .vob by a file explorer like resco or total commander.
NOTE: the skin files witch are included in this zip file, are compatible with wvga screens (hd2). to load the correct skin you must download a compatible version skin for your own. I found this skins good! (iphone skins) you can download them in a zip file.

If you couldn't play vob files in your device, I don't have any answer for it I just did the same in some hd2 devices and an Omnia without problem.

Didn't work for me either and I have an HD2. It now doesn't say it can't play mpeg2 but there is a load of green lines over the image. FLV says video not supported by codec.

Use Raw FrameBuffer or GDI, or set the direct draw to RGB, the green lines must be fixed.
my flv files are flv1, i don't know about other versions of flv. try open a flv file by navigating it through tcpm open file menu.
Thanks that worked but unfortunately I can't view some of my other videos now and TCPMP sometimes just closes itself when I select a file it doesn't like. I'll have to look at ways of getting TCPMP to include all codecs that I need but I just don't have time at the moment Thanks for the files though they did work as you had explained but not as I had wanted.
I've also noticed with the process of removing my installed version and installing this version then removing this version and reinstalling my old version I've lost about 15mb of storage. Probably a poor uninstall process for TCPMP or I am doing something wrong.
kevlah, would you email me one of these videos you cannot play with this tcpmp? let me check if I could find proper codecs.
and also one of those files that cause tcpmp close itself.

Change to Raw FrameBuffer worked for me. my device is B7610 Omnia
I have a problem with my mp3's on my harddisk, or rather, the problem occurs when I try to copy them to my phone (on the sd-card if that matters). My cd's are ripped and for each cd, the is a .pls file indicating the order of the files (the files are not prefixed 01, 02, etc.).
My problem is that I have found no player on android (S2) that can use my .pls files (they are just text files with 1 file on each row, relative path) and the .pls file is placed in the same folder as the mp3 files. Then each cd has their own folder.
I have tried winamp, poweramp, builtin prog, video players and more. No program can understand the contents of my .pls files, but many do accept .pls files. How must the files be built in order to work? (format)
I have also tried with .m3u files and .m3u8 files, but it is the same story as with .pls.
I am at a loss. How do I transfer playlists from my pc (.pls or .m3u) to android?
Also, why is it that winamp cannot even see my mp3 files? Is it because I place them om the SD-card? It only finds a couple provided by Samsung.

You might give AudioPlayer a try.
- free version has ads, but runs ok without internet connection
- available on SlideME (direct download apk file, no google account needed) or Market
I tried AudioPlayer 1.10 on Android 2.3.6 (Samsung Galaxy Player 4.2). It will read m3u playlists with relative paths, whether opened directly in player or passed from file manager.
Playlist editing is limited. You can't view the list or reorder items, but you can remove the current item. Saving a changed list seems buggy. When I saved right away in the directory that comes up, I got relative paths. But when I back out some levels and come back to that same directory and save, then I get absolute paths that begin "../../../../../../../../sdcard". So it seems like it works best if you already have your playlists made.
I also tried renaming the m3u list to .pls (and added .pls as a playlist extension in player settings). This .pls list worked if the player opened it directly, but not if I went through the file manager.
For now, I'm keeping it as one of my installed players. It is simple to use. I like it for what it does. It has multiple seek buttons (you can set the time interval) which are handy for navigating long sound files. And it opens the now obscure RealAudio format for me, once I added .rm .ram file extensions in the settings (though this decoding might be dependent on hardware).
