Sample sdconfig.txt on your Fuze - Touch Pro, Fuze ROM Development

I'm just starting to use UC on my Fuze since I'm starting to suffer from the need to flash at least one ROM a week and I'm tired of reconfiguring my Fuze each time. I'm curious to see what others are are configuring with UC. Right now I am just loading cabs, including the Owner info cab, and configuring 4 email accounts including one Exchange and 3 gmail(google apps hosted domain) accounts. I'm more interested in some of the tweaks since loading CABs and XML is pretty straight forward.
Here is my sdconfig.txt and my latest XML(not tested yet but what the heck). I think it would be cool to have a thread with a bunch of example sdconfig.txt and provisioning xml files to use as examples since I've been basically doing this trial and error.
Since I think that .xml files are not allowed to be uploaded I am appending .txt to the XML files for upload.
One other thing, if you don't know what UC is, read this thread started by Sleuth255. Thanks for getting me started with this Sleuth255. There are a couple of links to MSDN in the beginning of this thread that give a ton of possible provisioning elements for your XML so have fun.

Great idea, i am just about to redo my config, so ill post it when im done.
Could be good to get some of the more frequent/interesting tweaks into the wiki.

Nice Idea. Can OP also edit the link to the thread for getting started with UC for N00bies

Great Idea!
I Didn't know that I could automatically register exchange and speedials. Thanks!

I hope that this is not repeated some place. If so, I couldn't find it. Here is a wiki page for SDconfig resources and samples. Post your XML and sdconfig.txt files here but please anonymize them first unless you want your email hijacked. If you did something special, post what you did as a description.

THANK YOU!
The MSDN article in aprticular has answered a number of questions I had been unable to resolve re server set up.

You're welcome but it was Sleuth255 that should get the credit since it was on his original post about this. I am finally able to give something back to the community. That MSDN page really helped me a bunch.
Post your sdconfig.txt and xml when you get a chance to the wiki so others can see what you did.

Please POST the CAB file from SMART or GLOBE

HI, good evening, it is evening here and i decided to have a GO at SIN's V2..using his SETUP file. which is the easiest.
HE STATES that this is FOR AUSTRALIAN USERS only, this is due to the fact that AUTOCONFIG only supports AUSTRALIAN CARRIERS. I have no problem with that because i will just EDIT the AUTOCONFIG Later to load either SMART or GLOBE settings, the carrier here in the Philippines.
MY BADDEST mistake was, i didn't BACK UP a copy of the globe or smart CAB files and the original autoconfig. HEHEHE. My XDA is upgrading as i Type this in another PC pf course. AND IM WAITING for A KIND SOUL TO POST the CAB FILE for SMART and GLOBE carriers here in the Philippines..IT IS LOCATED IN YOUR EXT ROM. And could you also include your AUTOCONFIG file pls. THANK YOU.
I think the CAB files i need look like this...SMART???GPRS.CAB and SMART???MMS.CAB and GLOBE???GPRS.CAB and GLOBE???MMS.CAB and there might also be other SMART and GLOBE files CAB that will load favorites for IExplorer, and please also include your AUTOCONFIG.TXT.
WAITING FOR YOUR POST
Here are the cab files that you are asking for, I also included config file along with autoconfig just in case.
thanks FERDS
will be downloading this as backup...anyway..i solved it, but i had to learn EREDIT fast..hahaha...i opened some MS.NBF from posted ASIAN extended ROMS and extracted the smart and globe cabs from there also the autoconfig text file.
but thanks anyway...youre a kind soul.
Ferds,
How about Suncellar Configuration. Is there a cab file for this carrier?
Thanks to whoever can upload the cab

BTW u still need to call Sun Hotline 200 for MMS and GPRS Activation
and Still need to Text ACTIVATE (all caps) to 2300 for Internet GPRS Activation..
and do this over and over again (Include Calling the Sun HotLine) until u find a G in your Connectivity Notification(when u click your Signal ICON) it means your GPRS is already Activated.. (on moi .. it took me 2weeks before SUn Celluar activated my GPRS)

u can remove default.sa.CAB , 6inone.CAB .. and the Settings [Default]
i only include those in order to avoid further conflict with my configuration ..
heres my detailed explanation of default.sa.CAB and 6inone.CAB reasons why u should and should not include this line:
default.sa.CAB - restore your _default.htm to its original state(smart configuration change your _default.htm and include a link to their site), it also set your today skin to O2.tsk and added/overwrite links to O2 Mobile Portal http://mobile.myxda.com/portal and Pocket PC Websites http://www.microsoft.com/windowsmob...esssolutions/wifi/mobilefavorites/default.htm to your Favorites
6inone.cab - replace/restore your phone Skin with O2.tsk and replace/restore your Splash screen with XDAIIs (not XDAII), it also set your today skin to O2 .. this is a much bigger file because it include all gif for Phone Skin.. the Splash1.nb and Splash2.nb, and the O2.tsk, it also sets your GPRS to CHAP authentication and Class 8 Slot which i think .. is useless because Smart_ALL_100104.CAB, Globe_All.sa.Cab and Sun_All.sa.Cab set their own settings for that, i didnt find any problem removing this cab (its 740kb)but still if you want to avoid some conflict dont remove it
one more thing .. all the settings here are for ArcSoft MMS Composer 2.0.0.xx (including version 2.0.0.20).. it is not applicable for older version of MMS Composer

HELP! How can I get these w/o installing default ExtROM?

I am using the Cingular 8525 and to avoid having Cingular junk installed after a hard-reset, I soft-reset the device after a successful hard reset. I.e. when the "installing in 3 seconds" notice shows up.
However, now that all the Cingular installation files are removed, I no longer have any of these:
- MMS Shortcut
- Smart Dialing in Phone app: this is the one that allows you to type if the name via the keypad (much like T9) and have the names listed
I have tried to install the files manually from the Cingular 1.34 ExtROM compressed file hosted in XDA Developer FTP site, but to no avail.
The ExtROM contains the following, and only the bold ones are the ones that I try to install to bring the above functionalities:
CAB: \Extended_ROM\MT_PC_Hermes_GenericLight_REG_060609.CAB
CAB: \Extended_ROM\MT_Shortcut-MMS-Hermes.CAB
CAB: \Extended_ROM\C_Cingular_GoodEmail_081606.sa.CAB
CAB: \Extended_ROM\C_getmail.ppc2005(HTC8100).ARMV4Rel.cingular.CAB
CAB: \Extended_ROM\C_HSDPA_Wirelss_Modem_Stall.cab
CAB: \Extended_ROM\C_Hermes_MobiTV.CAB
CAB: \Extended_ROM\C_GetTeleNav.CAB
CAB: \Extended_ROM\T_mm1lib_DLL.CAB
CAB: \Extended_ROM\PP_PIE_Default.CAB
CAB: \Extended_ROM\SMS_Setting_07Jun06.CAB
Please help. If I can't get the MMS shortcut and Smart Dialing, then there is no point in upgrading ROM since I'll be crippling the device to certain degree because it will not have the above functions.
OK, I am getting extremely frustated now. All I want is to get the MMS Shortcut and Smartdial on my Cingular 1.34 ROM.
I have installed the following (taken straight from the Cingular 1.34 ExtROM):
T_mm1lib_DLL.CAB
ShortString_Keypad_XML.CAB
MT_Shortcut-MMS-Hermes.CAB
MT_PC_Hermes_GenericLight_REG_060609.CAB (Smart Dialing)
I got SmartDialin to work. But NO MMS shortcut whatsoever! I installed the 1st three CAB above to get the MMS shortcut for 5 times in different order soft reset after EACH install, and NO MMS shortcut.
Those who have upgraded to the Cingular 1.34 and bypass the initial customization (soft reset after the 1st hard reset), please let me know how did you get the MMS Shortcut back. I assume there will be at least 20-30 people who have done this before.
No one knows how to fix the MMS shortcut for the CIngular 1.34 ROM? I guess no one is using Cingular ROM, then...
BTW, just FYI, any modification to the messaging program for some reason will get removed again, just like the MMS shortcut. For example, I installed Cingular XPress Mail (push email client) and the "Inbox" created by this application DISAPPEARED from Messaging application after 2 soft reset.
It looks like that Cingular and HTC have found a way to stop hacker from modifying the Extended ROM.

I found that some of the CABs in the extended rom will not install if you try to install them manually, no matter how many times you run them. So, what I did was unlock my extended rom and just deleted the stuff I didn't want installed, then did a hard reset after that. Worked fine. (Personally, I wanted everything BUT MMS, but I'm sure if you delete the opposite of what I did, it'll work just as well)

I did that. As a matter of fact, I used the ExtROM mount cab to access the cabs directly.

That's interesting to know! I think it affects mostly on the Messaging application, since it also make Email accounts disappear, not just MMS.
If you don't mind, can you let me know the following:
1) Which .CAB file did you leave (not delete)? I assume they are the following:
a. MMS Shortcut
- T_mm1lib_DLL.CAB
- MT_Shortcut-MMS-Hermes.CAB
b. Smart Dialing
- ShortString_Keypad_XML.CAB
- MT_PC_Hermes_GenericLight_REG_060609.CAB (Smart Dialing)
2) When you delete the unncessary CAB files, did you have to modify the Config.txt in the ExtROM folder itself? This text file list all the CAB files that will be installed, seemingly in a particular order.

I wanted MMS out, s I deleted all the files that had MMS in their name. Sine you apparently WANT MMS, you should leave those in, and I guess delete whatever you don't want. Regarding the text file, I actually tested it both ways. If you edit i and clean it up, it'll work, but if you leave it as is, it won't complain and will just silently skip over the things it ca't find. So, basically, the only reason to clean up the removed files out of the config.txt file is for, um, aesthetic reasons. You don't have to, but if you feel better about it being clean, then go ahead

Just so I know I am doing the right thing, which of the CAB files did you leave it in, with the exception of MMS?
ONe major item I need is the Smart Dialing feature.

delete/replace extended rom files?

I upgraded via all the instructions..worked pretty flawlessy and was a bit scary.
ie: super CID, v1.06 downgrade to 1.04, upgrade to 1.35 South Africa, downgrade back to 1.04, upgrade radio stack to 1.20..blah blah. I unhid my extended rom but i see that its the one from South Africa.. I am using a cingular 8525 on T-mobile..is it possible to replace extended rom with the T-mobile MDA Vario II extended rom or the cingular 1.34 extended rom? And is it a good idea? I really wanna get back to normal...I don't think I've ever tweaked a device firmwarewise as I have this. (although i had fun with my mda...it was still designed for "t-mobile" though). My keypad did get disconfigured but i found a .xml cab file from one of the cingular extended roms and it worked thanks to searching the forums. But something doesn't just doesn't feel right. I want to feel normal like I have the appropriate software for my hardware? ( know what i mean?). I'm wondering if I could just simply delete all files in extended rom currently and replace with the latest cingular extended rom cab files or t-mobile vario II extended rom cab files?
note: i'm from the usa..so im a little confused with all these foreign roms etc. All I saw initially was a higher number shortly after when I started off with simply the goal to unlock the thing..lol.
Yes, you can replace the extended ROM from other one... you'll need to hard reset after to get the autorun configuration.
For a guy on T-mobile....i'm looking at replacing the extended rom from south africa with the latest cingular one of the t-mobile uk. I honestly have googled to try and find out what each cab file means..but seems like it would be safer to just replace with the latest cingular, especially in terms of selling the device later.
I wonder what everyone is doing? all you 1337 h4x0rs simply deleting files you don't need and then doing a backup after manually entering your internet, mms settings?
I'm so lost. maybe its because the MDA was around longer so it was like bread and butter flashing to Molski's rom etc. I know that we had a "missing mms shortcut" that we could just download....
blah..hi. my name is n00b. help can me you? lol

I don't know what l33t hax0rs are doing, but I just don't let the ExtROM install and after unhiding/unlocking it, I use it as storage space.... I do install some cabs which i have found to be useful either by: trial and error or extracting the cab file contents and looking at them. Also I take cabs from \windows\[pre]config.txt which are not on extrom but useful sometimes also.
For Internet and MMS settings I have a cab file I got from i-mate website long ago for my BlueAngel, and it is still useful on my hermes
Once you've everything sorted out, a full reinstall after a hard reset or ROM upgrade takes 10 min: meet Dr. Jonson, set time & date, install cabs... soft reset, install more cabs, soft reset and done
I noticed one of the extended roms listed in the wiki had a tiny bit of information
"HTC TyTN 1.18.255.105 ExtROM WWE (English)
LOCK:Enabled
CAB: \Extended_ROM\MT_Shortcut-MMS-Hermes.CAB
CAB: \Extended_ROM\PP_ExtVersion.CAB
CAB: \Extended_ROM\P_Generic_UI.CAB (This contains the Green UI for the Wireless Manager)
CAB: \Extended_ROM\PP_3-AP-Patch.CAB (This contains the camera app and StreamingPlayer)
CAB: \Extended_ROM\MT_PC_Hermes_Qtek_WWE_060621.CAB (This contains the Green HTC TyTN UI for Phone Dialer and Smart Dialer)
CAB: \Extended_ROM\VT_Engine_23818_ext.CAB (Ati video driver, and audio+video codecs)
CAB: \Extended_ROM\PP_ace-certs.CAB
LOCKisabled
RST: Reset"
But furthermore i was able to hard reset my device and then i soft reset before any of the cab files were auto started..so i guess now i'm just gonna have to install one by one..wish i just knew because i'm spending so much time on this before even getting my phone functional. i havent even placed my contacts on this beast yet because i keep feeling that I'm gonna hard reset a couple of times and wipe them out.
Would i have to change the auto run and config text somehow to auto run certain files or would that still be considered "cooking your own extended rom"?

how to modify HTCCPL reg key and .cpl???

how can i modify registry keys such as htccpl in any rom kitchen? possible at all? or are they always related to the htccpl.cpl in the windows folder? how to modify that one then?
i just can't modify or delete them in neokit.

yeah, thanks, mate! i found all entries i need in those provxml files! great stuff!!
now i am almost done with all modifications reverting everything back to "original".
any ideas how to change "hidden" status of a single file? i want to make the templates for notes and office visible.

I'm not sure what you are talking about, but I do like the word "original".... If you are done, is it worth sharing?
well, as i stated in cloudyfa's thread, i am not a friend of too heavily customized roms even though most of them look pretty cool. everyone is individual and has a different taste. therefore i really liked korand's contribution. unfortunately there were still some minor flaws, such as an incorrect wm6 sound scheme (as i believe), which i could not figure out to fix.
but with cloudyfa's rom providing wpa2 and showing no signs of bugs so far, i just could not resist making my own close-to-originally-offical wm6.1 rom, because no-one seemed to respond to my appeal of making a truely clean version. so i took the challenge myself... and it was quite some lesson and a lot of fun, however, i still do not consider myself a rom cook (yet).
and "yes", i will share it if cloudyfa does not mind and if i will not encounter any problems while testing my "creation" at the moment. i only need to figure something out about user customization. maybe you have an idea since i could not find anything specific on my question:
if uc is enabled, will it still be possible to run autorun from extended rom even though it would be redundant? because there is still the registry key set for autorun destination on extended rom. or can i delete it? or should i leave it for some kind of "dual autorun mode" ?
cheerio.

yups, you can still run some application from extende rom.
At windows folder, you will find config.txt . You have to give some command on it.
The command there, is just a RST ( Reset ) . But If you give a command first, it will install some cabs. It all command from AutoRun
This is some command
LOCK: Enable
CAB: \Extended_ROM\TCPMP.CAB
CAB: \Extended_ROM\Cabs\ABCD.CAB
LOCK: Disabled
RST: Reset
the command will install TCPMP.cab and ABCD.cab
share at XDA is always a good one.
With Cloudyfas ROM, there is a provxml file that sets the keys for AutoRun to somewhere in the windows directory. You will have to remove/alter that for autorun from the storage card.
The point of AutoRun is to allow you to install cabs etc before the user can really use the ROM. UC is to provide users with a faster way to set up the ROM. The two can and should co exist.
so if i got it correctly: putting the common command lines of the extended rom autorun PLUS the command lines of sdautorun into this single config.txt file would make the device boot and install from both locations one by one?
so, what are your recommendations about the registry key:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Comm]
"TurnRadioFlag"=dword:0
"AutoRunCFG"="\\Extended_ROM\\config.txt"
"AutoRun"="\\Extended_ROM\\autorun.exe"
leave it or kill it??
edit: decided to remove it due to its complete redundancy. it is uc already... now i am close to finishing.
edited edit: put it back in. i think it won't hurt and maybe someone still needs it.
cheerio.
One of Cloudyfas ProvXML files overwrites that, so it is completely redundant!
It's called mxipupdate_zz_oemoperators_102_CheckAutorun.provxml
You can look at it and see what it does.
The two AutoRun files (SDConfig.txt and Config.txt) are separate files that run independently. The point of UC is User Customization. All you need to do is make sure SDAutoRun.exe is in \Windows and that the last line of your config.txt file is
Code:
EXEC:\Windows\SDAutoRun.exe
That is all that is needed for it to run.
ok. removed the redundant entries. i was just thinking there might be some way of a "dual boot". but actually this is rubbish. so i leave it as uc as it is.
The point of UC is that the two are seperate. Everything can be achieved with just one of the two systems, but with UC, you (the chef) can install cabs, and the user can install tweaks etc.

[RES] RADIO Rilphone.dll W/ CABS - NO NEED TO PATCH OR HEX EDIT THE NBH [RES]

Many users have asked me for some of the Rilphone.dll's of different radios. What I am attempting to do is to make one central location for all of the rilphone.dll's to be posted. Here is a couple that I already have on my machine. I will work at getting some others later on this evening.
If you are posting a rilphone.dll, please include the name of the device it comes from and the radio number it pertains to. Also, it would be really nice if users posting rilphone.dll's if they would just attach the zip file rather than linking to rapidshare, megaupload, 4shared or whatever. The files are small enough to just attach to your actual post.
If I have missed one that you require and you can't find it, please PM me and I will see what I can do.
Thanks for helping out in advance.

The attachments are just the dll's in zip format. The cab's will be with the other cab posts.

The DLLs in the ZIP have hidden and system attributes, make windows explorer is set to show both.
Before the standard questions get asked here's links that explain :
Rilphone.dll ?
How to Install ?
k got it thanks.
Hey these were posted around the forum and in the radio thread. Credit goes to the persons who made them...sorry dont know who..actually.
About installing, stuff like this should always be installed with a signed CAB and DLL that injects its (your) own certificate into the privileged execution store. You don't need a patched nk.exe for that, and it works like a charm. I use this trick for all my 'system hacking' needs, and I know many other do too. I would advise against copying the file and renaming the registry as installation method - it's not proper. I'd be very surprised if this doesn't work for rilphone like Da_G said - I've never had this not work and I've replaced quite a few important system files on running systems.
Perhaps I should write a guide on this, as I see a whole lot of people fail at replacing system DLL's in various topics just because they don't do it right.

Would you be so kind as to check my work? I have it signed and certificate stored in priveledged execution. I just want to make sure I've done it correctly. If it's wrong, then I've been doing it wrong for quite a while now.
Edit:
The cabs were not the correct way of doing things so I removed them.
Yeah you come ask me in chat and ignore me when I answer

I'm sorry. I never saw you reply. I just figured you were busy.
Right, here's how to do it properly:

Not sure if it will work for rilphone, but it's pretty likely

Your cab works perfect to.
I wanted to be sure so i also commited the trick of monx.
Afterwards i have implemented your cab and the rilphone is fully working.
In the beginning i was not able to fix this before i had the trick of monx. I was trying and trying. But now this combination wheter it was your cab or monx his certificate trick. I did it, so i'm happy now

These cab's should work without the hex edit of the nbh. They should also work with a rom that does not have the nk.exe patched. Either way, I'm glad it worked for you.
thanks P1tater! cabs worked perfect my friend
