OK, I know these things are new... but if anyone get a lead on when/where anyone starts producing a larger battery for the MDA III's please post here!!!!
the 1400mah standard just isnt gonna do it for me...
Looking at how the factory battery fits, seems to me no problem to make a slightly bulkier battery with, say, 2500 mah capacity? woudn't hurt use or cosmetics of phone... the battery already sits lower than the camera area on the back.....
Thanks!!!!!!!!!!!1
why don't you just got a second battery for only $65, that's what i did
can you tell where you get extra battery for 9090 ?

I don't know if the batteries are exactly the same.... I hear rumors that the PDA2k, Sprint PCS 6601.. O2 III.. whatever are all the same. If so, look at this site:

(There's a UK site as well).

As I know there will be an extened battery from Mugen Power. They will release it very soon..
when can I find them? or is there anyone else that normal brings something like this out?
try this

They have batteries in many format for the blue angel. They are developing a 3000mah one . I'm not sure how they will look, but there is a picture of their current one if you click the 2600mah for the o2 xda II. I think the new 3000mrh will look like that
Mugen Power Extended Battery for MDA IIs. This battery will be released soon.
Capacity : 3300mAh
I just got one of these MDA IIIs. I asked for accessories but they had none!
I want an extended battery too so I went and got a lead acid 12v from a scrap yard and fitted it on a pair of roller skates (a skateboard would do). I then purchased a 600 watt inverter from Maplin Electronics and coupled this to a transformer from one of my old Sinclair Spectrums computer and before anyone jumps down my throat - yes I added a voltage regulator so not to blow up my new MDA III.

I think maybe if they shaped the battery more like this, then it would be a MORE functional design...

I went to their site and they indicate they are out of batteries for the XDA IIs.
Does anyone else have a line on extended batteries? I saw a 1900 mAh battery, but I was hoping for a little more power.

They have 33 in stock of the 3300 Mah batteries, they're currently out of the 2200 Mah ones. $124(us) and $79(us).
Does anyone know if there's any reason these batteries wouldn't be suitable for an Orange SPV M2000??
In MY opinion the cost of batteries is a total rip off and we the consumers are held to ransom.

Battery Compatibility
Blue Angel & Himalaya batteries are incompatible because of different shapes.
Hey guys,
Last week I buy an 1500 mAH Battery (CS) for my Herald.
Included today I worked 5 days with my Herald (WLAN , Phone, SMS, Calender..) and I have 28% Energy
Good Performance....
Whats your experience with the 1130mAH Battery? Do you have other Battery tested (bigger than 1500?)
Thanks Oliver
Where did you get the battery from?

No, you won't lose data
And this is not due to the pda, this was a 'feature' from WM2003
WM5 and WM6 both have the data/settings stored on a rom chip which doesn't lose its data when you soft-reset.
Are these batteries reliable? Don't want to have them exploded in my pocket! Has anyone already ordered?
Do these larger batteries fit with the original battery cover?
HERE is a 2400 maH Battery.
But It's a larger Backcover...
Thanks for the tip ... ordered one of these to compensate for running BatteryStatus.
5 days !! thats crazy talk !!
i get 2 at most on mine.
is this battery the same as the one you have?
http://www.gizmos2go.com/xcart/product.php?productid=8625
That's the one I ordered, but I haven't received it yet. They don't tell you when they're out of stock on their site.
cool rob, let me know how it is when it arrives.
why is that guy getting 5 days of charge?
Bought one too
After reading the first very positive post about the 1500mAh battery, I've got one myself too. Unfortunately I am quite disappointed. The life seem to be the same or even worse than the original battery to me
Just GSM eats about 3-4%/8h but when I turn the device on I can see the percents going down anxiously fast even with the backlight on the first level
Got the 1500mAh battery this past Friday. So far, looks like I'm getting at least two days, maybe a little more between charges. Pretty much what I'd expect given the modest increase in amperage. Overall, I'm pleased given that it only cost about $30.
Hi there, I'm using the 1500 battery since monday and can't say that I see any difference to the standard 1150- no breakthrough and I don't see how to get over two days with normal use
what about the 2400 maH battery. Are there any benefits of getting that or not? (other than making your phone feel and appear heavier)
Where did you find a 2400 maH battery? And will any accessory for the P4350 work for my T-Mobile branded "Wing"?
Can anyone comfirm that the 2400 battery will come with the cover for the T-mobile Wing?
Please let me know... I will like to have one

There is a guy on ebay selling a 3000 mah battery for the wing with the blue cover. It looks large to me but if you need the extra power it may help. On ebay search for "wing battery". I think his seller id was nakedcellphone or something similar.
http://www.boxwave.com/products/hig...acity-extended-battery-t-mobile-wing_2710.htm
here is a 2400 from boxware. what people should also let people know is what their overclock settings are and what people consider normal use. Im always on my phone texting or doing something.
i've been searching for a 1350 ma battery for my topaz when i suddenly found out that the 1350 mah battery looks exactly like our 1100 mah battery

I am currently using an after market 1340mAh battery in my TD2.
Bought from ebay and lasts slightly longer (given my usage) as the stock battery.
thanks
thanks for your reply
did you have to change the back cover for the new battery or it's as the same size as the stock one?
thanks

The battery I got is a perfect fit (I did originally wonder if the capacity was indeed 1340mAh) with the stock back.
I have tried an original Hero battery (1350mAh) and it's a tight fit, but, you can get it in there!!!!!
Awesome

That really is an impossible question to answer as there is so much affecting different peoples usage and the ROM.
However, the battery I got does give improved usage time and if I had to put a figure on it I would say 15% improvement.

Just saw a 2700mAh battery on eBay for @20.00 with shipping, and there are plenty of 2200mAh batteries being auctioned specifically for the PURE/TOPAZ/DIAMOND2. Does that help?
wanted help
what would help is if someone who already has a topaz , bought a hero battery and try to fit it in our topaz devices
two questions, will it fit and the back cover will be closed
and if so , what will this battery deliver in performance?
still waiting for replies
thank you all
I think that the batteries are not same thickness, I don't think that you can use Hero's battery to TD2
I think I mentioned that I am running an after market hero replacement battery and had also tried the original hero battery???????????
Do you guys read the previous posts?
And I gave an appraisal of performance.
thanks
i know that, what i mean is that we can use more opinions and information about hero's battery life in diamond 2
but that does not mean that yours are not helpful , on the contrary it was great and thanks so much for it

I don't have a hero battery, just tried it for fit, so the answer is an after market 1349 mAh item. No name!
The link has an illustration.
I buyed this 1480 mAh battery from ebay:
http://cgi.ebay.it/HTC-BATTERIA-148...QptZAccessori_per_palmari?hash=item2c51eb7bdc
the seller told me that fits perfect in our Diamond2; when it will arrive, I tell you my impression...
Hero battery for the Topaz
I have bought an Hero battery 1550 mah. It fits in the length and width. The thickness is a little more 2 mm.
It is possible to close the cover. It is a little tight.
I can not tell you now if the battery is running longer. I will notify you later in this threat.
I have bought the battery here:https://www.batteryupgrade.com/shopBrowser.php#/assortmentProductId/72162062/shopGroupId/60141010
The battery is send from Honkong. I lasted about 7 day's. including the hollyday's. The price is 24,49 euro.
greetings Wout
why didn't you try buying it from htc agent in your country, how much is the original battery is $
waiting for your feedback on the battery
thanks
I just tried my friend's Hero Battery and it works. Shows up as 1350 mah, but sadly it is a very tight fit. I can only get 1 side to click in and the other side of the battery cover has a gap. I believe if I sand down the battery cover I might be able to get it to fit. I'll post more once I get some tools to sand down the battery cover.
What's up there? We need info & extrapower to feed our topaz guyz
Is it affirmative to use Hero's original battery or not ?
Replacement battery from Cameron seems as positive, right ?
I don't want to replace the cover however - got invisible shield on it.

Do you not think if it was possible to get more than 1650mah into that size of a battery then Samsung would have done it???

Just 1mm thicker, surely better than the ones that turn your SII into a brick.

Agreed, i intend to get one. It also has the added advantage of protecting the camera lenses
As Joey2o11 says above, if it was possible to do a larger battery with same size then Samsung would have done it. You could maybe add 5% or so by having much thinner package though, but that is probably not great from quality perspective.
Is there any expandable battery like the one for the original HTC desire phone? its had a larger battery with its own back cover and also had a kickstand too. Anything of the sort will do, please lemme know.

If you still have your waranty, you can ask HTC a new one.
You just have to say that you aren't happy with the perfomance of the old one.
I'm not talking about a replacement battery,, I want to know if there is a battery with higher capacity than the original one.

If you need a bigger battery, I'd recommend to buy a good accu pack to be able to recharge the phone up to 8 times or so like the one I bought...

But please tell me a bigger battery,i want to charge it once only, which has greater mah.
Not like any portable charger or something.
The point is... A portable charger has more energy than a bigger battery and you give less money for more energy then. Mine has 14400 mAh which is great; I can live a week without electricity this way...

But still, having a battery with greater mah seems appropriate as the battery is inside the phone, rather than charging the phone again & again with a portable charger.
