For everyone with Batterylife complaints here are 3 options for you. NEW Updated Post.
Battery Adaptor Pro:
http://www.boxwave.com/products/batteryadapter/index.htm
This is by far the best option in my opinion for battery life problems. This little device about the size of the hermes, a little wider and very sleek / feels good in your hands. Its only $22.50 and worth every penny! What the device does is take AA batteries (4) and recharge your device via the USB cable. You can use the phone while its recharging too! What makes this device even more great is that is uses batteries, not its own rechargable battery, so on a long flights or long road trips or whatever the case may be, all you have to do is stock up on AA's and your good to go! It also comes with a flash light, VERY BRIGHT LED's for dark situations, although random, it comes in handy alot in dark situations trying to find your way to something or trying to hook the USB cable in. It recharges the Hermes about 6 times in my personal expirience with Duracell batteries. But get this! The best thing that makes this device worth every penny is that its compatible with ANYTHING that supports USB charging. This includes all other phones, Ipods, Personal video players, MP3 Players, Cameras you name it! Its great for keeping all your devices with battery power on any trip you go on especially if you travel alot. I no longer have to worry about battery life anymore with this thing. Its very small and easily can go in a pocket or a pouch in your backpack. No longer do you have to suffer with BIG bulky batteries to keep you going through the day/days. I highly recommend this unit and give it a 10/10!
You can Get an Extended battery 3000MAH from:
http://www.lionbattery.com/description.php?noproduit=477
Although very bulky the battery life boost is amazing. My friend has this phone (I don't have one yet, i just sold my 8125) and I have indeed tested it for myself. The battery will last you 10 hours before it hits 80% battery life. With these ten hours I was able to web browse, text message, use agile messanger, playing Doom 3D, Warcraft II, Sim City, Play music at 45% volume. at 60% batterylife I it had been over 25 hours already. With you constantly using 3G, push email and such Id probably say you can get a minimum of 35 hours of battery life with this battery. If you are not so hardcore You probably will get over 50 hours of battery life with this battery. The only cons I have to this battery are the size. its a great investment if you are one of those people always going on bussiness trips and such. You can charge both your stock battery and This battery and use the stock until it runs out then pull out the heavy duty. I highly recommend this battery. This battery comes with a cover for the 8525 too. 9/10
For all those who can't stand the size of this battery there is hope for you.
http://www.seidioonline.com/index.as...ROD&ProdID=333
The stock battery for the 8525 is 1350 mAh, and this one is 1500 mAh, this battery won't improve your battery situations much at all but it is cheaper than the option of buying one from HTC or cingular. You can get both the stock battery and this one and have them both charged to last you however long you need. Although a tight fit it still fits in the battery comparment and works with the 8525. 8/10
I hope this helps some of your frustrations with battery life with this phone.

Pity about the thickness, but the sheer capacity makes one think twice... More than double the normal mah...
I just ordered the 3000mAh battery from lion's website - I'm getting low battery warnings towards the end of the day. I'll let you know how it works out!
lemme know how it is
Well, it's supposed to arrive today - I can't wait! My phone died before I made it home yesterday - very irritating!
Has anyone tried one of those 1500mh batteries? I don;'t want the extended one because my brodit mount will become useless and and just suxs. Anyone have an opinion?
http://www.ipods99.com/ProductDetails.asp?ProductCode=HTCHERMSL&click=35
Yey!
Well, I got my Lion 300mAh battery and I have to say I'm pleased overall! I'm still breaking it in but so far it has lasted a complete day with Wi-Fi on and a hour worth of movie watching. It came very nicely packaged from the company - it also has a 6 month warranty according to the paperwork. The battery is approx. twice as big as the OEM battery. My biggest complaint is the battery door doesn't fit quite as snug as the original... near the camera it has a chamfered edge instead of the rounded edge on the OEM door. Also, there is slightly more clearance to the left and right than the other door. After a week when the battery is broke in, I'll give a proper update on battery life (Lion recommends 5 complete charge/discharge cycles for maximum capacity). I have several pictures of it, but I can't figure out how to post them here ><
Im very glad the battery worked out for you lacroixdp . Yeah the non HTC made battery covers wont fit on the battery as much as it should but enough to get the job done. I'm glad the battery last as long as it does expecially with all that Wifi usage.
4 u slimsaturn the 1500 battery, there is no difference to be seen, its just a cheaper alternative to having 2 batteries to switch between on those long bussiness trips, for improving battery life however, u will not see a difference.
There was some talk of a 2000mAh battery for the hermes that wsa the size of the original one. I think it was supposed to be from lion battery as well. Anyone have any news on this?
Well after a few days following their recommendation on the complete charge/discharge cycle, I can safely say it is an excellent battery! At the end of work, I'm at 80% charge still. With the same usage before, it was always between 30 and 20 giving me low battery warnings. I DEFINITELY recommend the 3000!
I got one off ebay 3400MAH I hope its better or good.
I thought about that one but decided to stick with lionbattery.com and Mugen since they have a solid reputation for batteries. Plus I have a 6 month warranty to use if I ever need to.
To bad lionbattery seems to be out of stock everytime I check

I've had the 1500 battery for about a week. I cannot tell any difference between this one and the stock batter but for the fact that I have to use scotch tape to keep the back on. I used the Lion battery on my i730, but hated the size. I am ready to deal with the size due to the fact that I cannot deal with the shortness of battery life.

I Second the good rating of the 3000mAh Mugen Power Battery.
I bought it for my HTC TyTN from the Netherlands and alhough it bulges to double the size of the standard battery from the back plate - I like it though; gives me better grip on the slippery phone! - it gives me looong life compared to the standard issue (1350 mAh).
As noted earlier, along the sides the extended back plate does not fit 100% snugly, with a (very) minute gap on both sides. But not enough for the back plate to come loose though. Plus the edges (the rubber stopper at back - the antennae socket) is not smoothly cambered. Nothing a nail file couldn't fix though.
Great battery Mugen Power!
Haha that's even better I emailed in about the door and 15 minutes later I got a reply and a tracking number for a new door - excellent service! You've definitely earned a repeat customer! Are you coming out with an extended battery for the Treo 750 soon?

Hi,
I have about 3 months with my TyTN and I can see that battery life has been reduced. Battery duration is decreased and charge time I guess that is reduced too. Is there a known battery calibration problem or this is a normal behaviour for a 3 months old battery???
Regards,
Taguapire.
Because I am on holiday I had a chance to do a controlled test of the battery. I charged the standard battery, turned on the phone and made one call a day to just make sure its still working. I also forced the band into gsm only. My battery lasted 7 days from full to flat. I then did the same thing being only in umts and I got 3 days only. The test is controlled because I did not physically move the device at all in that time, so signal strength and tower searching would be kept constant.
I think that is pretty clear the 3g is the killer. The dopod 838 pro lasted longer than my magician would have under the same sircumstances.
Hey guys,
Last week I buy an 1500 mAH Battery (CS) for my Herald.
Included today I worked 5 days with my Herald (WLAN , Phone, SMS, Calender..) and I have 28% Energy
Good Performance....
Whats your experience with the 1130mAH Battery? Do you have other Battery tested (bigger than 1500?)
Thanks Oliver
Where did you get the battery from?

No, you won't lose data
And this is not due to the pda, this was a 'feature' from WM2003
WM5 and WM6 both have the data/settings stored on a rom chip which doesn't lose its data when you soft-reset.
Are these batteries reliable? Don't want to have them exploded in my pocket! Has anyone already ordered?
Do these larger batteries fit with the original battery cover?
HERE is a 2400 maH Battery.
But It's a larger Backcover...
Thanks for the tip ... ordered one of these to compensate for running BatteryStatus.
5 days !! thats crazy talk !!
i get 2 at most on mine.
is this battery the same as the one you have?
http://www.gizmos2go.com/xcart/product.php?productid=8625
That's the one I ordered, but I haven't received it yet. They don't tell you when they're out of stock on their site.
cool rob, let me know how it is when it arrives.
why is that guy getting 5 days of charge?
Bought one too
After reading the first very positive post about the 1500mAh battery, I've got one myself too. Unfortunately I am quite disappointed. The life seem to be the same or even worse than the original battery to me
Just GSM eats about 3-4%/8h but when I turn the device on I can see the percents going down anxiously fast even with the backlight on the first level
Got the 1500mAh battery this past Friday. So far, looks like I'm getting at least two days, maybe a little more between charges. Pretty much what I'd expect given the modest increase in amperage. Overall, I'm pleased given that it only cost about $30.
Hi there, I'm using the 1500 battery since monday and can't say that I see any difference to the standard 1150- no breakthrough and I don't see how to get over two days with normal use
what about the 2400 maH battery. Are there any benefits of getting that or not? (other than making your phone feel and appear heavier)
Where did you find a 2400 maH battery? And will any accessory for the P4350 work for my T-Mobile branded "Wing"?
Can anyone comfirm that the 2400 battery will come with the cover for the T-mobile Wing?
Please let me know... I will like to have one

There is a guy on ebay selling a 3000 mah battery for the wing with the blue cover. It looks large to me but if you need the extra power it may help. On ebay search for "wing battery". I think his seller id was nakedcellphone or something similar.
http://www.boxwave.com/products/hig...acity-extended-battery-t-mobile-wing_2710.htm
here is a 2400 from boxware. what people should also let people know is what their overclock settings are and what people consider normal use. Im always on my phone texting or doing something.
For those at whom quickly to sit down the standard battery

Here such battery 1900mAh for HTC Startrek will allow to work longer!
Wow. Does anyone have it? It sounds too good to be true for me. (I had some extra-capacity batteries from China or so and they were worse than original batteries. They were not for Qtek but for different device...)
Mugen batteries are generally reliable.
Sorry, clicked twice on slow connection.
Well... Finaly I have bought this 1900 mAh battery. I do not have it long but after one busy day I can say that this battery is really good one.
If I use the original 750 mAh battery, it would already has no power. But the new one is still above 50%. Well, I have traveled some hours by trains, read many news in rss reader, watch news in WMP, browse web (about 1-2 hours ), every 15 minutes checking for new emails, some IM... And the battery is still on. 56 %
The only disadvantage is the thickness. It adds 6 mm (0.236 inch) extra to Qtek.
Hey moneytoo, care to share some more expreriences? Is battery life much better, still after a month of use?
Thanks.
In week days when I use much internet connection the battery is enough for whole 2 days (no night turning off). Or the battery last for the whole weekend plus one week day = 3 whole days. Well - busy day = -50% battery life, normal use = -25% of battery life a day (= 24 hours).
So I believe it could run whole week (nights turned off) if there would not be much use. But I cannot test it because I really need to use my phone
Thanks for the quick reply moneytoo.
So it seems to me batterylife is more or less the same as a standard 1100mAh battery like on a Tornado device according to your experience. Price is about the same as the official 1100mAh extended battery. During weekdays I'm a heavy user of my phone so it seems to me this big battery is the right choice.
Thanks again.
my s300 is every time only and have a lot calls -> ideal working phone!
i use the office extanted batterie from HTC. the cover is very good. the most china made extanted batterie covers, are realy bad designed. if you can buy a htc version ... buy it :->
So the 1900mAh makes the phone about 6mm thicker? How much for the 1100mAh battery?
The 1100 mAh battery adds only 3 mm extra. And the cover is in sriped-style, but the 1800 mAh is not, it is just cheap plastic cover, but fits.
Good and useful information
Thanks guys/gals for this piece of information. It is definitely useful for people who are always looking for a plug to charge their phone.
The question is style(looks), versus practical(working phone)
Yes yes... thanks indeed. Very useful information.
Has anyone tried this baby yet? If You have then please some feedback.
I bought one a couple months ago when i bought my hermes, it does add a good centimeter to the phone's thickness, but i think it's oh so worth it.
i.e. - Regular battery with regular use(internet here and there, no music) I *might* get a day and a half before it's completely dead.
3000mAh battery - With regular to heavy use after 3 days i still usually have around 40% battery left. Best thing I've ever bought for my phone, except for maybe my jawbone 2 headset ^^
oh speaking of that, with a bluetooth headset synched to my hermes with the regular battery it's dead in a day, whereas again, I avg about 3 or so with the 3000mAh with the bluetooth headset synched all day everyday.
its 2X of the standard 1350mAH
Hi, I have the 1500mAh Li-POL, exactly same size as the original.
I can't really say if the duration is really better than the original one when new. I had a different ROM/Radio and have no intention to get back to WM5 just to test.
By the way, lately I observed a faster drain (anyway more than 1 day with normal use) but might be related to a Radio downgrade carried by an installed ROM. I hope I can give new (and more positive) info when I upgrade the Radio again.
Sounds good to me, i will get one sometime, if i can get double the battery life out of my hermes, i will be happy

£14 from a quick search on ebay UK. No sign of a 3000mAh on Dealextreme yet though (99% cheapest supplier!)
I have a 2800mah I've been using for a while, def improvement on the stock one but I'd quite like a second high capacity one to keep in my pocket.
best $16 spent EVER!! i love my battery it takes me whole 3days to kill it including playing MP3's, Internet, Texting and camera. GET IT YOU WON'T BE SORRY
is there a risk with using non genuine batteries?

I picked up one of the 3000mAh extended batteries several months back after my original stopped holding much charge. Great battery life on the new one, but after a while I started noticing odd issues popping up. The LED would show yellow instead of green, and I'd get the red charging failure led every so often.
Now those could have just been the age of the phone (almost 3 years old now with heavy and abusive use), but the main issue I know was the extended battery was the unit randomly started powering off. Often this would happen if I had the phone in my pocket, so I thought maybe the battery wasn't making a solid connection. Then it started happening when I had it laying on a table. I may have just gotten a bad battery out of the bunch, but it definitely doesn't seem up to snuff compared to OEM.
I've since gone back to using my original battery with it sitting on the charger almost all day. Never powers off randomly anymore. Just my 2 cents.
Edit: I should note that if you go through a reputable battery seller you shouldn't have any issues. I went through ebay and picked up the extended battery + cover + car charger for ~$15. I wasn't expecting much from the battery
Since i can't get the battery to last long enough even with better roms and so on i am now looking on battery extensions. Battery bigger than 1500mAh that is the original one. Iv seen "mugen" has some 1800mAh but they are quite expensive and not that much of a difference only 20% increase.
But iv come across some 2600mAh battery extensions this gives an amazing 73,3% increase in power. The only problem i see is that they are bigger.
im looking at this one:
http://www.batteryupgrade.com/shopB...rtmentProductId/85344458/shopGroupId/79274206
But have anyone used something like this? how is it getting your phone this fat? is it uncomftable? to heavy? how much thicker does it actually become? 0.5cm? 1cm?
Thanks for all the answers.
I use a 2600 battery. It makes the phone about the size of a Tytn 2, a small price to pay IMHO!
Sent from my X10i using XDA Premium App
I woulndn't buy it. It doesn't have the same voltage as stock: 3.7v. So this battery actually will not last as the mAh suggest. looks cheappy choppy too and too much $$ in my opinion
I have one and use one if I know I'm not going to be in my car (or near an outlet) for a long time. It's pretty bulky. I didn't think I'd mind the bulk, but it DOES make the phone ugly as hell.
With my regular battery, I can usually go from about 6am to 4pm before desperately needing a charge. With the 2600mah one, I can go until bedtime (about 10-11pm). Not a massive increase, but an important one.
Still, it's ugly as hell. I wish they tapered it in more near the camera area. So much unnecessary bulk at the top.
does anyone of you have pictures with this kind of battery on the phone?
some pics of your phones with the battery would be nice
Mugen Power? They have a great battery for X10. Lots of reviews at xperiax10(dot)net blog.
It looks fatty!
Ok. I have another idea il buy 1 more original battery and a battery docking for it. So when one is used up il just put in the other one, and set the other for charge. Should not be too big of a problem. I'm normally not out for more than 9 hours at a time. If I know I'm going out for more I could just bring the other battery with me.
Sent from my X10i using XDA App
got a bit cold on the idea of getting the phone ugly so i now went for 1 new battery and one docking station for the battery. So that i can always have a battery ready to use
you may need to change the language on the site from norwegian to english.
I think it's the best way, because unplug/replug by usb can damage the plug...it happens to me
i dont think i would ever wanna have a phone that big of its size
I use the big ones, and desktop charger! PERFECT!

i think that size should only help if u are going to be out of home for a couple days o something like that.. i charge my x10 everyday and it works for me... X everyday i use my mp3 player, wifi for browsing. BT, camera, etc. but it's a good idea for travelling.
