Hey guise. Sup. I just purchaced a Raphael from verizon 3 days ago, thing is, Its slow as ****.
I have no prior experience doing anything. Flashing, or anything. all i know is that it does NOT have a sim card. Anything I can do to make it faster?

Your phone is a CDMA Raphael. My advice would be to visit the CDMA sub forum and read all the things you can to get to know more about your phone before you attempt to flash a ROM or anything! Also try a visit to PPC Geeks, they are very involved with the CDMA version of this phone! And whatever you do, do NOT flash your phone with a GSM (Sim card) ROM.

Its slow as what? If no sim card, why dont try to put one inside. maybe can boost some speed. sorry friend, just cant stop laughing.. u r so funny

I've posted about this b4 and i havent recieved too many responsed about it... I've checked on line and sprint touch pros have been having the same prob..
The problem is that when I flash my phone with whatever ROM it will work fine for a day or two and then it freezes which is o.k cause they all do from time to time and when i hit he soft reset button at the buttom it hard reset the phone... "WHAT IN THE WORLD'" so reading some info online they stated that It maybe a bad SPL so i reinstalled it to no avail ... Please someone help

I have an O2 Xda Atom Life, I upgraded with the O2 software to WM6 last year. Lately my phone will not get service, none at all. I click on the area where it shows the reception, and it says "Phone not ready, please wait 15 seconds" I cannot even get into the phone settings at all. I have tried to upgrade my phone software to the MWG Windows Mobile 6 since I cannot find any stock software on O2's website.
Any help would be GREATLY appreciated!!

Does even after a minute or so after restarting the phone the problem still exists? I had the same problem with the original O2 ROM. But it was just a matter of few seconds for the problem to be rectified. If that also doesnt work try using ROM's by Medkid.

Yes the phone actually will not get reception at all anymore. It was bad for a couple weeks, then all of the sudden nothing at all.
I really want to find WM6.1 or whatever is the latest and greatest. I used to have an Xda Mini (wizzard) but that was a while ago and I haven't modded my phone for about a year. What I'm saying is I'm out of touch and need to be pointed in the right direction.

Just check out PDAVIET ROM 19212 by Medkid. It's in the same forum as Atom Mobile 6. Go through the thread and u would come to know.

Thank you for all your help! I need to buy a SD card so I can try the upgraded rom's.
But, I am wondering if somehow the phone locked itself up... or if the radios got messed up. These are the settings right now on my phone, i just ran the O2 WM6 update on it and it didnt do anything to help this problem...

I have looked that page already and I found some roms and I tried to install them when it goes to install it says from this image to other image and i click next than my phone goes on hibernation/standby and on my computer i get an error saying CONNECTION ERROR
I tried on xp as well as on vista but samething and my phone is ROGERS.CA

Read the wiki, and through a bunch of the threads here in the forums, there is a bit more to it than just running a program. Unless your just upgrading to the factory shipped rom.
You don't want to brick your phone! If your having troubles now, just imagine how it will be if your phone doesn't work at all!

I AM IN BIG PROBLEM SINCE MORE THAN ONE YEAR
MY PROPHET JAMIN G4 STCKED IN THREE COLOR BOOT SCREEN

ALL THIS HAPPENED AFTER I WAS UPGRADING AND I THINK I USED AN INCORRECT SOFTWARE
I TRIED MANY AND MANY AND MANY ROMS AND I READ ALL POSTS AND I TRIED HARD REST AND I DID EVERY THIN AND IT IS IN BOOT ,OADER AL THE TIME EVEN THE ROMS MAY PASS TILL THE END AND SAY CONGRATULATION AND ON PHONE 100% BUT AGIN WITH RESTART IT IS THE 3 COLOR SCREEN
I THINK I PUT G3 ON G4 DEVICE IS THERE ANY SOLUTION

hi am from k.s.a i had the same proplem but if you dawnload the orignal rom from i-mate web site ftp://ftp.clubimate.com/ it may work i did tray a lot of roms none of them workd exsept the one from the site.

Expert only?
Search this site and you will find the original ROMS that came with your phone. you will allways have to downgrade to restore it! I have had many HTC go wrong on me. I use an old trusty favourite Prophet_4.0.0.0.4_PV.zip Good luck!
Just Click on the first link, follow the steps and you can go.
Just go to bootloader,
DO HARD-SPL
Then flash again!
and u can drive away with your new OS on your old Prophet! xD

and spl 2.20.001 so i have ipl for g3 on my spl g4 i mate jamin so any one have solution or i will destroy this mobile
I just think, you need to try to install the original jamin rom again.
or just Qtek rom: http://www.qtek.nl/_BIN/PRO_DT_WWE_220734_2207114_026121_Ship.zip
then it will be ok. and you can try to upgrade again

im looking to update the radio on my Rose, the phone is on orange but i have unlocked it to take O2
the thing is im not getting much of a sig on the phone, 1 or 2 bars at best if even i get sig believe this is due to the radio rom
so would there be a way of changing this without a HardSPL for the phone.
all info is welcome and will be thanked

Hello!A custom radio can`t be flashed on the phone without HSPL so you will have to wait for the HSPL to come..please stick to the HSPL thread!

i think you made a mistake typing your spl, i suspect its actuially 2.10.0000
use hspl3
if it really 20.000.0, then are you sure its a hd2??? hehe
oh, and be sure and do your rom search in THIS dedicated tmous (tmous = t mobile us, , you did mean from tmo us didnt you? your phone is different from all the other hd2s) section, you are currently in the regular hd2 thread, and not all roms are compatible.
ohh, yes its 2.10.0000 okay i'll download the HSPL 3 and install it and get back to you. thanks so much, yeah i mean't tmo us. oh i see there's regular hd2 and the tmobile hd2.. i see okay sorry am kinda new to all this. thank you so much.
no worries.
one word of caution, read a LOT before you start to flash, most things are recoverable, but the wrong radio will kill your phone, it will NOT be recoverable.
radios have versions of the form x.xx.5x.x
the red bit will always be either 50 or 51. You must NEVER flash a 51 radio.
See posts 1 and 2 HERE (the tmous radio thread) for a list of compatible radios.
(To be honest, you needn't worry about radios for a while yet, there is no need for you to change radios for teh roms you will be flashing, so get used to rom flashing before you start on radios.)

wow, this is exactly the type of thread i've been searching for. i, too, have a 1024leo (tmous hd2), with 2.10.0000. so is flashing a bad radio the only way to brick?

well wouldn't say the only way there are other such as losing power mid flash, But wrong radio on 1024 leos is a definite brick
