for anybody who is looking for a sturdy solution for attaching their xda to a bike, i found a great site with lots of info and solutions.
as i myself spent many hours on the internet before i found this site, i just wanted to share it with you so that you don't have to search for ages.
the site is http://www.gps-halter.de/
The rattle would sure destroy the device in some time. The holder should be amortized somehow
yeah, you're right. but that's the best about this shop - they provide custom made shock absorbers to keep the pda or gps-device as save as possible.

I have just made a contact through my company where i will be able to get accessories for the xda2s at a good price.
Im that fed up of searching for things and only getting a couple results off ebay that i decided to do something about it.
i haven't got prices but i should be able to get some deals on:
GPS car kits
Car kits
Batteries
Cases
or anything else which you might want
the only thing is that i will have to buy some of these items in bulk so i just want to get a feel for what peeps want.
please don't delete this post because im technically selling. thinking about it im not selling anythingi haven't got anything to sell at the moment maybe think of it as a service for those hard to find accessories
your comments welcome

Anyone know of a nice case for the 8125 with a credit card pocket?
I am looking for something that can hold about 7-8 credit cards (ideally a secure pocket, so the cards don't fall out.)
Also, it should be easy to open quickly (without taking the 8125 out) so I can make a call.)
Finally, quality is important, something like Piel Frama would be great.
Thanks!
Case/Wallet combo
In searching for cases, I was only quasi-impressed, until I came across this case (Naztech Voyage)...
http://www.elitextreme.com/navocabrhoca.html
This may be my first 3rd party 8125 case (I'm a PPC newb, former Palm/Clie user).
Tangential:
I googled the company Naztech, and they have a BUNCH of other types of cases as well, and they seem to have a LOT of really cool designs, almost up there with Vaja (at a lower price)
http://www.naztech.com/index.php
I don't have any affiliation with Naztech, so I can't speak of the quality, but they certainly LOOK slick...
anyone else use Naztech cases?

Thanks. Did you get the case and if so, how do you like it?
Does the 8125 (Wizard) fit in it O.K.?
Also, does that clip come off (I hate clips
I went looking for reviews, and came across one site that actually had a pic of the 8125 in the case. It certainly looks good.
http://www.extremepda.com/page/XPDA/PROD/cingular_8125_accessories/CING8125VOYAGE-BLK
There's a few reviews on forums (very positive), but I guess the company isn't doing a great job of marketing itself... I'm 99% sure this is the case I'm going to order this week, after seeing the pics.
I played with something similar in a store and it seems that half the time I replace the phone in the case it presses on a button.
The clip is also a deal-killer:-(
So far, I have given up that I will be able to find a decent-looking, well-made case for the Wizard which can hold credit cards.
So I've started looking at flip cases. Most of them seem to have the same problem of pressing on the Wizard's buttons when one closes them, or are just ugly (like the Brando case.)
It would be great if someone made something like this for the Cingular 8125: http://www.ebcases.com/-strse-3192/Slipper-TM-Conv.-(snap/Detail.bok
Has anyone tried this one http://www.ebcases.com/Detail.bok?no=3357 for the 8125? It looks like it wouldn't press on buttons when closed and it would be easy to open quickly to answer or make a call.

Hi
Does anyone know if there is someone that makes a bike (handelbars) holder for the Blackstone?
edit
I did find some on with google search, but does anyone have any experience??
yesterday, i have ordered this:
http://www.dantotec.de/shop/Richter...HD-T8282-Blackstone-100-inkl-Halteschale.html
now i have to wait for delivery
Please post your experience when you have tried it.
bike holder
Hi, I am interessted in a solid Bike holder too and was looking for the whole day. I found this in ebay germany, the producer is Haicom, tomorrow I will order.
I want to use it only in landscape mode and for me it looks appropriate for this. The only thing is that I don't trust the connection between the HTC cradle and the Handlebar attachment, so perhaps I have to stick it with instant glue, but all the other holders I saw don't have such big retaining clips in the cradle like this one.
also interested
Guys
I'm very interested in this too, looking forward to hearing experiences from you. I need to retire my Ortleib pouch!
my experience so far
The cradle i ordered is a little bit bigger then the touch hd and the connection between handlebar attachment and the cradle is a little bit unsteady like i thought but no problem. I sticked felt pads on it and its very very solid now, also a good method to avoid scratches. I've made a little video that you can see how solid this is now. So I think this is a good one only after you stick those felt pads.
Sweet it looks pretty sturdy.. If you can get it to stay in one place on the handel bars then thats the one for me
handle bars
I've mounted the cradle on my bicycle, it doesn't move from its place.
There is a rubber layer at the attachment.
Today i have received my bike holder (http://www.dantotec.de/shop/Richter...HD-T8282-Blackstone-100-inkl-Halteschale.html)
it looks realy safe (not testet in action)
i have "shaked" the holder with my touch hd over my bed and it dont pull out (i hope you know what i mean ^^)
and the size is very good, not too small and not too big "like a second skin"
in the package you get also 3 rubber for more security...
i think i can recommend this bike holder
i wait for this (cause its not in stock): http://www.dantotec.de/product_sear...417fff&query=HRI01686&x=30&y=17&channel=001_0
this product is recommended from the manufactorer, it should guarantee more stability...
I have combined this:
http://www.amazon.de/Motorradhalterung-für-Lenkstange-inkl-Schwanenhals/dp/B000RGVNK8/ref=pd_cp_ce_2
(I do not have the space for the HD directly over my handle so I needed some distance...)
with that:
http://www.amazon.de/HR-Klemmbacken...=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&s=ce-de&qid=1274939042&sr=1-3
(Had this one already for my car.)
I did not buy them from amazon (I forgot where I got them), but they are original from HR.
Just an advice: The first time I used my device on the bike, I lost my stylus - it must have gotten loose due to some vibrations, and it was only on a paved bike path, not cross country-like vibrations...
So better remove your stylus or find some way to fix it.
I had the luck that it was on my way to work, and it waited for me to pick it up on my way back not far from my home...
The Whistler
Ebay is perfect for this stuff.

A cradle for a bike with exposed screen like that is asking for trouble. If you go over a bad road or bump etc it can become lose or if you are in a crash there is no protection. I found its safer to get one of them arm band phone protectors and strap it down. seems to work for me

I can only find the carholder for the T8282, not the bikeholder.
Seems to me that no one sells this bike holder in Netherlands. Here is an ebay seller in Germany, you can order there if you don't mind.

I bought a bikeholder at Saturn. They have several bikeholders from Hama and not expensive. Mine is even waterproof.

Hi there, does anyone have any experience concerning bike mounts for our hero? Preferably with somekind of case or other type of protection (against rain, not falling on concrete [my hero survived that without a case a few times already ])?
Have a look at these. I personally think the universal ones are more secure, however, no weather protection.
Thanks, I thought as much.
Though I would love to hear from somone who's had some experiences with weather protection.
no such bike I'm afraid,, design your own is the best way. What happens to the gun cases and guns when you drop the bike ?
universal weatherproof case
I have a "universal weatherproof case" for my hero. Do a search for it on youtube and there's a decent video and also a link to it on the buybits.com website. Only £20. Can't find it on their site at the moment, sorry.
Only mod I made was to cut the zip handles off because when you're riding, they "jangle". The touch screen works through the transparent plastic and it's definitely waterproof and mudproof!
I'm happy with my purchase.
@Janzomaster: any luck finding it?
@Esspee_London: many thanks for the hint

No, I didnt search on as I won't be needing the mount as soon as I thought
But the mount recommended above definetly looks promising: http://www.buybits.com/product/8174.aspx
So I'm looking for a bicycle case for my Z3. You know, a case that has a mount you can put on your bike.
Now the iphone and other phones have tons of options, like this .
I have been looking around but haven't found anything for the Z3. So I hope I'm lucky here, and find someone who has come across one.
Thank you! :good:
Found a bunch, is this what you're looking for?

I use one like the first one above. Works great, I just needed to apply a bit of dampening tape between the phone holder and bike mount to eliminate rattle. Used a similar one for my XZ for 18 months and it was great. The phone did pop out twice when I encountered serious puncture inducing pot holes but I try and be more careful nowadays
I might bite on this one
