Hi all experience friends..
I have htc p3400 and i tried one time before to install windows mobile 6.0 or 6.1 (Step by Step) with "Krazy" Thread.. it was stuck on (Smart Mobility) black screen but i can go to bootloader by pressing hold on camera with power, then i install something for unstuck or i don't know exactly then it's just stop the phone and when i power on (Red and green led is lighting once) even i tried to hard reset with many times and many ways "NOTHING". i already go to agency and ask them to fix it.. it's already fixed now but i really boring again with WM5.. i want WM 6.0 or later while i ask them but they really said we have only this one as standard and sure there no upgrade for this model.
*(sure what i did is wrong maybe and really i respect Krazy and how he explain all thing) it's great
SO please if u can help me step by step to upgrade my mobile to WM 6.0 or later while i really don't need to go for agency again hehehe.. they will kill me as they will discover what i really did because they don't charge anything as i buy this mobile on last feb.
Please i want step back also if i lost the phone again.

im not a techi and have no tech skills at all but read the stiky around 10 times and did it sumits stiky is very explanatory it also has all tools also read and im 100% sure u can un lock ur phone my advise is save the entire thing on ur comp and try it word for word u will succeed

Read the tutorial again....
and perform each each step carefully as sometime there is no going back.
Also check whether u have a new gene or old one using the date method

I really unlock my phone before and the spl is change to something like (0.07)..as i read in the step by step thread.. but wich rom is best for me.. what's the best for unlock.. cus u know there's many threads here and really i'm confused as each one is preffered his rom and his copy.. so just i need to learn more from trusted friend like you to tell me HOW, WHO and WHICH? ..

The choice of ROM depends on your taste
Some prefer to use clean ROMs which offers more free RAM
on the other hand some prefer ROMs with better GUI and apps which will offer less free RAM.
In my opinion u should go and check all the available ROMs (thanks to ROM cookers) and find what u want, like what applications u need (u use) etc.

I m using the o2 neo SPL4 with dopod rom as 2.15.13.27
I m planning to upgrade to WM6..
After lookin at all the threads i m still havin some doubts..
1.I have finalised on PDA_VIET v4.0.0.1 is it safe for prophet ...with SPL 4 (on reset shows as IPL/SPL 2.15.001)
2.In one of the threads i read as to downgrade using RUU_Prophet_220734_2207114_024721_NVID - is it important to do if i m to upgrade with PDA_VIET v4.0.0.1
3.If in case i m stuck in between of the upgrade will i be able to ROLLBACK to my existing WM5..
4.Any other tried and tested ROM of WM6...
5.Will it really make sence to upgrade to WM6.
6.Any new update for dopod ROM 2.15.13.27
7.Finally i know i m a fool to ask you again but can you give me the step by step procedure for upgrade....

Can't answer all your questions but with regard to the actual upgrade then follow this thread. Its a sticky right at the top of this forum and is there to aid people through the process.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE follow it word for word. It works if you do this but you may get into difficulties if you don't - you have been advised.
I have successfully used the process a number of times to go back and forth between WM6 versions and then back to WM5.
Remember that if you want to go back to your original WM5 ROM you'll need the ROM upgrade for this in order to do it. The download links are there for everything you'll need for WM6 - use them.
If you are in any doubt then STOP and don't go any further. Ask for help in the forum or reread the instructions. The large numbers of issues that people seem to have are, I am convinced, caused by either not using the instructions or not following the published ones.
Having used WM6 on my Propher I'd have to say that currently the available ROMs whilst fantastic achievements, aren't really what I'm prepared to use on a daily basis. If you are happy to beta test and install your apps everytime you upgrade then go for it.
I am currently back on WM5 either until I see a WM6 ROM that I am able to use 'in anger' day to day.
I'm really interested to see if we get a working HTC Touch port - now that would be something.

The WM6 ROM for Prophet that you are looking for or for that matter, that many are looking for, is still in the kitchen, cooking.....
Unless you feel that you fit the pre-requitsite, or you feel humping Prophet is more enjoyable than .... then jump to the WM6 pool ......

so i conclude that this is not the right time to jump to WM6 as far as prophet is concerned..as the ROM are still BETA am i right ???
but what if I wanna use the PDA_VIET v4.0.0.1 is it safe for prophet ...
or any other ROM.
Also will the newer ROM (if any coming) will be having the TOUCH features..
m really looking fwd to it on my prophet..
Finally do we really gonna have the official WM6 rom for prophet..by any chance ,if yes when...

There will never be an official WM6 release for the prophet, these wm6 roms you'll find are from other pda's made ready for the prophet.
They are all safe to use if you follow the steps that you have red in the upgrade topic.
If you want the HTC Touch gadets on your Prophet you should read this topic and try out the Fantastic Mobiz v2.0b4! rom
You can always switch back to wm5 if you dislike wm6 roms
Any advice: make an backup of your contacts/messages/photoshoots ect. because you will loose anything on your phone memory and find out if you have a G3 or a G4 phone!

Also will upgrading to WM6 any thing got to do with the GSM service provider...
In mumbai we have HUTCH...so will my GPRS or other be affected..

I can't say which rom is best for you, they all have their own advantages, you'll have to find out yourself which one suits you
Upgrading your rom has nothing to do with your GSM service provider, but your GPRS settings will be lost after an rom update so you'll need to know how to set them right

I tried using orefkov's tool. But after selecting the gene 4MB PP link, a message pops up saying:
" Not find need block "
I copied the exe & link file into the Phone's main memory (ie: in My Device, as shown in Resco).
Is there any way I could successfully change the PP on my device. By directly making changes to the registry or so?

Sorry Bro !
Changing Page Pool size of HTC P3400i is not possible as of today. Perhaps our XDA developers or some kind-hearted geek will give it a thought someday. Or may be, as this model is quite new and mostly distributed in India and other asian countries, nobody is giving it a damn (correct me if I am wrong !!!). Even a wm 6.1 ROM is yet to arrive let alone Pool Size changer.

Hey, dont talk so hopelessly man. Now a ROM is available for the new P3400i on this forum in the "GENE Upgrading section". Its the port of Lomlom's "WinMobile 6.1 fusion 9.0 WWE" for the new GENE (P3400 manufactured after March 08, and P3400i). Its a great ROM, gives a huge performance upgrade to the phone and has very small no of problems. Most of them had been solved by many of us. So be happy now.
As of Page Pool, i am not aware that whether it can be changed or now. I will try to gather some more info about it. Anyways, if you upgrade to the 6.1 ROM, you'll have around 19-20 MB of RAM free on boot, in case of a p3400i. i dont think there is any need for furthur tweaking.
Or is there? Can somebody enlighten me on that?

ALL THIS HAPPENED AFTER I WAS UPGRADING AND I THINK I USED AN INCORRECT SOFTWARE
I TRIED MANY AND MANY AND MANY ROMS AND I READ ALL POSTS AND I TRIED HARD REST AND I DID EVERY THIN AND IT IS IN BOOT ,OADER AL THE TIME EVEN THE ROMS MAY PASS TILL THE END AND SAY CONGRATULATION AND ON PHONE 100% BUT AGIN WITH RESTART IT IS THE 3 COLOR SCREEN
I THINK I PUT G3 ON G4 DEVICE IS THERE ANY SOLUTION

Hä, do you think the Moderator l3v5y is no expert. I don`t know your problem, pardon, you can read in this tread, how do you wakeup your prophet. If this not go, than you must bring him in prophetclinic, or when you have no money than you have no luck.

hi am from k.s.a i had the same proplem but if you dawnload the orignal rom from i-mate web site ftp://ftp.clubimate.com/ it may work i did tray a lot of roms none of them workd exsept the one from the site.

Search this site and you will find the original ROMS that came with your phone. you will allways have to downgrade to restore it! I have had many HTC go wrong on me. I use an old trusty favourite Prophet_4.0.0.0.4_PV.zip Good luck!
Just Click on the first link, follow the steps and you can go.
Just go to bootloader,
DO HARD-SPL
Then flash again!
and u can drive away with your new OS on your old Prophet! xD

and spl 2.20.001 so i have ipl for g3 on my spl g4 i mate jamin so any one have solution or i will destroy this mobile
I just think, you need to try to install the original jamin rom again.

then it will be ok. and you can try to upgrade again

I tried searching around however i could not see any new ROMS for Gene for windows 6.5. I noticed that all the other phones like Blackstone and Titan have lots of new ROM for windows 6.5 with lot of other verison. i noticed their version have reached upto to v8 for win 6.5.

Other phones are having it faster because the quoted ones by you have bigger stomach (ROM memory) so its a bit simpler to cook this huge giant OS for them. For GENE, the cutting and trimming takes a lot of time. Be thankful that its even running on gene because of developers like Ankit here, otherwise you would never be able to see wm 6.5 on gene.

1- nope u dont need to unlock ur cid if u r using htc x7500 device "not dopod or aemo"

2-nope u dont have to do anything if u ur device is locked...
but if ur device is unlocked be aware that ur spl is 1.2 or less...
if u have 3.5 spl .. then u gatta downgrade to 1.2 .... see this

3- yup its upgrade ur radio from 1.47 "like mine before" to 1.50

4-nope it has nothing to do with formatting "microdrive\SD card"
note:- remove your sim\sd card before flashing

5- wm6 is way faster then wm5 ... and the there is some finger touch improvement... the screen respond to the finger touch better then before..

faster internet connection .... didnt test the GPS yet
