Do i need to upgrade G4 ?

I'm using 818 pro.
Details:
IPL. 100
SPL 2.20.0000
GSM 02.47.21
OS 4.0.0.0.
ROM version: 4.0.0.0.WWE
ROM date: 2/15/07
Radio version: 02.47.21
Protocol version : 4.1.13.24
ExtRom version : 4.0.0.0.4 PDAViet
What're the different if I upgrade to G4?
The different betwen G3 and G4 is the DOC (Disk On Chip). Its like a Harddisk for your device. You cant update it! Its a physical IC (Chip) in your device!!!
If you flash the wrong Version ... your device cant enter the partition for OS!
G3 and G4 DOCs have different Driver, security option and Adressing.
Do you flash the wrong version, you kill your device.
there is nothing called upgrade to g4
g4 is a hardware number not a software number
thank you so much ^^

[Q] HTC HD2 Telstra Australia

Hi please provide me an android link compatable with my mobile... need dual boot option too.
ROM: 1.72.841.0
RADIO: 2.05.51.11
cpu: qualcomm(r)8250B
There is no adroid compatable with your radio version. You need 2.08 or higher. Once you flash a new radio all android builds are compatable with all HD2's. (Although there are various issues depending on the ROM your are using.)
Android builds can be found at http://gamesquare.co.uk/
For a "dual boot" type option when you start your phone theres JMZ Dual-Boot
Thankuu soomuch.. How can i flash my rom to 2.08 or 2.10??

Welcome on XDA sir, (Member from 2005 and 1st post)
The most easiest is just to update your radio; Any radio => 2.08.50 are compatible with Android.
Steps that you need to do:
- Install HSPL: (HSPL thread)
- Install a radio: (Radio thread)
How to do:
Or if you don't have a branded device you can upgrade your OS/manila/Radio version by installing the latest Stock ROM 3.14
I was wondering why you had you so many thanks, coz this is probably the best explanation given to any question on Xda by any member I have seen.
Carry on Sir!

[Q] Telstra 7 Mozart Custom Rom [How???]

Hi there,
I'm new to the Windows Phone community coming from an Android background. I have just bought a the Mozart and would really like to install a custom WP7.8 ROM.
As far as I'm aware, it involves downgrading the bootloader? I cannot go down the USB Y-Cable method as I am a student and don't have access to these resources.
Please be aware I have a Telstra version of the Mozart and my specs are listed below:
Model: HTC T8697
Software: Windows Phone 7.5
OS Ver: 7.10.8773.98
Firmware Rev No: 2250.21.51202.841
Hardware Rev No: 0004
Radio Software Ver: 5.69.09.05a_22.50.50.21U
Radio Hardware Ver: A.22.0.D4
Bootloader Ver: 5.12.2250.2(134399)
btw I have tried browsing around the development forum and most of the the threads contain dead links and aren't very helpful.
I hope somebody can clear this up for me as I really want to experience the potential of WP7.8
Thanks

Dear,
Non of the link is dead, (Try offical updates in next two months if you can wait) Second Y cable is easy to make.
First of All you need to downgrade your SPL version to 1.XX, 2.XX OR 3.XX by installing offical rom Download one of them containing "202" from [ROM]Mozart Shipped ROM Collection - xda-developers Search File Factoy" forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1427893"
After that download HSPL / RSPL to unlockbootloader Press V- + Power to enter in Bootloader Mode to lauch RSPL. Warning without downgrading might brick your phone
After Unlooking you device, Download any Custom Rom you want to install Press V- + Power to enter in Bootloader Mode and install any Rom.
