Sorry dude , I never new the thread was created becoz when I tried to manage attachments it fail, And I though there was server down.Any way If u have cam loader cab plz post it here, I have it but cudnt attach it here from my mobile,Also I dont remember the original link.

Hi Sumit,
That is not correct. It works well for me with your Pro ROM v2.5. After seeing your comment, I even tested it with several restarts. Just now, I was able to do the close and restart of the camera, using this app, about 32 plus times and clicked around 37 snaps in the process. Not even once, it gave me any problem. Though would like to mention that I didn't use the default links come with the camera loader program at "programs\camera loader\camera loader" folder. Instead I was using the camera link in the programs menu, at times, as well as a link created (using Resco Explorer) from Camera loader.exe (which I had copied to Start Menu and assigned to Camera button).
I would say this is a killer of a program and suits very well for devices like Gene, where we get very low RAM. This along with your Pro User ROM v2.5, makes Gene perform unbelievably. I have been using this combination with SPB Mobile shell 3.0 running along with S2U2 and some home plug-ins such as Phone Weaver, Pocket Clock and Homescree Plus Plus. I even decided to test the same without any device restarts for multiple days. You know what, even at the third day I was getting around 24 MB RAM (did use Oxios Hibernate) without any device restarts, with all the apps mentioned above running as well as after a comparatively high usage of internet/music/movies/gaming. You know that, SPB Mobile Shell 3 itself takes around 6 to 7 MB to run.
By the way, your Pro User ROM (v2.5) rocks. And I don't even feel like testing the new ROMs being released now, since I feel that this is the maximum that can be achieved, in terms of optimization, for Gene. Lets see. Hats off to you and thanks a million!

Hey Premolikeshtc,
I think the cab replace the default camera.ink in start menu, so it don't necessary to make a shortcut or assign the camera button again. it is working well both on WM 6.1 and WM 6.5.

Plz confirm ur statement coz all I know is that once this cab is installed, than pushing camera button gives the pictures and videos application, may be it behaves according to different ROM s

Haree, it doesnt kill the camera app entirely,I dont know how to explain technically but it saves ram when camera is not in use, but the more usefull tricky thing is that after using camera and closing it the ram gets free again.I dont know who created it but all credits to him.
@krazy, I thing it is working well, plz experiment a bit more.

I don't know exactly how it work, I think this app actually close the camera, maybe helgee or someone can explain how it work.

U r right but I also think Iam right too ha ha. The thing is that when u click from start menu camera.exe , it will activate camera fine. But the strange thing is that when u assign the "camera" to hardware button from Setting-button , and push that hardware camera button , u will get picture and videos application. That is why I suggest camera loader to assign to hardware button

@premo: Yes, my bad buddy, the app works flawlessly. But running the CameraToggle link causes this trouble. I think the right way to use it is to put a shortcut to UnloadCamera in \Windows\Startup and put a shortcut to CameraLoader.exe to \Windows\Start Menu\Programs folder.
@Hari: Actually, the camera works using a driver dll file called cameraDriver.dll which is loaded via the registry. HKLM\Drivers\Builtin\Camera contains the description for this driver. What this App does is it unloads the driver and loads it on demand. SO it doesn't takes any memory while its not running.
@All: Its an excellent app and i guess HTC should also make this default, although there is a catch. When you have camera disabled using this app and some app tries to initialise the camera to take picture, for example, i wrote a dotnet app which has this code :

Yes you are right, also Manila 2D can't start camera from photo widget, still inspecting it. if you found way how to fix it in Manila 2D please inform me.
BTW, There are a lot of unimportant thread here, everybody make a new thread as they have a problem without search first.

It would be really tought! I think only you, ramersonw and krazy will qualify for the moderators job (technically). But then you have not been on this forum for that long. I read about requirements in the Gen/Abt xda sub forum long time back.

@ Krazy,
why don't we use the technique you used to make google map work with manila, without occuping space in window and programs folder, with a small stub program routing the call's made by third party app's for camera to this program.
Hope you understood my concept here
