I could but I shall need a how to or link for how to. I just bought my Neon400 less than a month ago.
Telus provider.
And i'm very interested to see if the radio has wifi capablility/possibility.
This phone is not unlockable as of yet.

The latest one on the HTC website for your phone. So if you have a UK Orange phone the latest one for that and so on. Have a look on the HTC website for the one available. You will have to register your country
Im trying to get hold of the latest release of the World Wide English, Europe Mega ROM off HTC support.
For them to release it they need me to give a serial number. I have a T-Mobile handset, so mine wont do.
(Anyone who wants to download the latest T-Mobile ROM from HTC's website, can use my serial number : HT01XP102250 )
So if anyone from the United Kingdom, with an unlocked, sim free, Touch 2, (NOT BOUGHT WITH A T-MOBILE CONTRACT!) could let me know their serial number - it would be appreciated

There isnt any new WWE rom as i can see, if i am not wrong 1.28 is the one and only

I have a GSM Orange UK HTC Hero updated to the latest FW from Orange. I hear 2.1 release is quite close and HTC will be releasing the general version and after god know how long Orange should come up with a release as well.
I have now unlocked my phone to all networks, and currently using with 3 UK. I was wondering if I upgrade from my Orange ROM to the General one released by HTC, will it work?

Yes it will work fine,... Only issue I can see arising is that you will have to add your apn settings manually, but thats no deal-breaker. ....

I have supplied the Modaco link as they have links to Pre-rooted standard ROMs which may be of use to you also.
I'v had my phone for about 6 weeks now,... Installed the latest Modaco ROM (MCR3.2) on the first day and haven't felt the need to change it yet,... I'm happy to wait for a 100% stable Android 2.1 release.... i.e... MCR4 BABY!!!!!... Cant wait!!!
The phone might not let you put anything other than an Orange Rom on your phone (if it was origionally an orange handset) you would have to use the "goldcard method" to enable you to trick the phone into installing other carriers or generic roms.
I suggest that you just root the device and use a rooted rom, will save all the hassle in trying to switch between official roms, and you don't have to lose any of the functionality.

I have a feeling that orange Rom wont let you use anything other than the orange Rom. I think if you root it you might be able to flash it to the general one, but then again if you have root might as well get a custom one instead.

followed the instructions on the unlockr..strangely enough it told me to downgrade using i think goldcard method but i just downloaded the old RUU from htc and htc sync it.(somehow it downgraded,dun ask me how)..the rest was to follow the steps
You don't need a gold card for the Orange handsets (well I didn't). Just install a new recovery then you can update with any zip file you like.
I would start over at Modaco as there is a thread called "Installing the patched recovery image on your device" in the sticky section.
I'm using unlocked HTC HERO of ORANGE (UK) in INDIA. Firmware 1.5, Build 2.73.1.66.

Can I use the old rom 2.73.405.5 on ORANGE's DEVICE (on HTC site after entering my Serial Number it described THIS SOFTWARE IS NOT SUITABLE FOR DEVICE)
Im with t-mobile and i had to use a t-mobile ROM as i got the same message from HTC website, so contact orange and ask them where you can get the latest update.
Or install a custom ROM, much better in my opinon but its up to you.

i bought a device "HTC HD2 T-mobile" from amazon from yesterday and open the security by HSPL3 after that i downloaded official rom
so my device now is off and i can't also charged it with the charger so wha'ts up?
One that heapend to me, but my battery was died after flashing... I really don't konw how, but that happend to my. I just buy a new one and when turned on my device only 3 color screen showed.. I flashed rom again and everyting ware OK.

question: did you fully charge your battery before doing the flash/hspl procedure?
yes i hacked it by HSPL3 successfully but i didn't know what's happened when i flashed it with this rom
the device act as dead!!!

ALL official roms except tmobile US (tmous) official roms include a radio that WILL kill tmous phones.
No one has yet managed to fix it.

nothing, I'm afraid. its dead. warranty? insurance?
if you bought it from amazon they are pretty good at returns (well in the UK at least)
I would call them up tell them you recieved the phone and its dead, i highly doubt they would be able to test it to find out that it could be user error
think thats your only chance

I have a Tmobile UK HD2 with the official ROM version 1.72......WWE.
I have installed HSPL3, and successfully flashed Radio 2.12.50.02_2 and I am about to experiment with a few custom Roms. Going from your post above, would I still be able to return to my original Official Tmobile rom should i decide to? I thought HSPL was to allow me flash both cooked and official roms? thanks for any advice you can give.

sure you can, you don't have a tmous so my previous post is not related to your phone.
