Well, at least in Québec.
Yesterday morning I checked the Best Buy .ca site's stock state on the Gray 32GB CBIL (Canadian Bilingual [the box writing]), and lo and behold, there was stock right next to my place. I went to the store AND THEY HAD 6 UNITS AT LEAST.
Right now, the Lachenaie store still has stock, and half of Québec's Best Buy stores have some in stock - if you're a québécois, check your closest store's stock state. Of course, Montréal's "main" BBs are out of stock, but suburbialand seems to have a couple.
Simple heads up for the five or six other canadian frenchies in the forums
Also: I was nice to the salesman and asked him to pitch me the extended warranty. 3y was steep, 2y was 100$, he said right off the bat "I can lower it to 70$". I said "If you can give me juuuust a little better a price on the extended warranty, i'll take it". So I got a 2y extended for 60$. Since the Prime is known to be excellent but not without its issues, you might want to play it safe
should have posted in the Candian thread.
I live right next to Bureau en gros (staples in the village). No luck there.they had grey for a few days but i really want champagne.

No real bug aside from some graphics tearing extremely rarely (on an ICS-updated). The only difference with the "bilingual" SKU (CBIL) is the fact that there's french documents inside the box and french writing on the outside. That is, like, SO important to the tablet's software
Oh, and GPS sucks balls as always.
So the keyboard dock is in English ?
Sent from my Dell Streak using Tapatalk
I didn't verify the dock, but if it's the CBIL one, the accents/french canadian characters are "secondary". I'll upload a pic.
[Ed] here is what the CBIL keyboard looks like as far as accents are concerned: http://android.cybikbase.com/pics/1328014469917.jpg
Hello guys I require some suggestions here.
I own a Sola (out of warranty) purchased from the US, and my battery has gone really bad. It has swollen up and randomly shuts down the phone.
Basically have to replace it ASAP.
So I'm in India and its really difficult to find a spare out of warrenty. A rare store i found said it'l cost Rs 3000 (USD 56$). I tried searching online and only landed up with http://www.battery-shops.com/sony-ericsson/mt27i-xperia-sola
That gave me the model number and put up big questions in my mind
1. How come Sola has the same battery model as Neo, Ray [BA700] etc? Aren't inbuilt different?
2. Sola's normal capacity is 1500 Mah or 1320 Mah ? These have 1500 rating
Please reply.
This should be the right one

If you want to check it, remove the black cover and there should be a model number or some identifier.

Any estimates on how much time would it take to ship from Spain to India ?
Take a look on another seller, there might be some asian sellers, that will be quicker i think.

Thanks for all the suggestions people. I managed to find a service center in India where an acquaintance works. So they registered my ticket and have given a date of 6-12 days for the battery to be shipped and replaced at the center.
I would like to share some findings as well, while a Sony technician was feeding details for my bill to be generated I managed to take a peek into his system while giving away the battery's hardware no. As it turns out the original price of the battery is just around Rs 800 (Less than 15$) which is crazy considering Sony is not marketing at less than Rs 2000 for the in built batteries sold externally.
So after a bit of help I did manage to place the replacement order for Rs 1300 (23$) including service charges.Lets see how that goes.
Glad to read that. Just report how it get...

Charges were as specified and the new battery works great! :victory:
Guys, i thought Sola's battery is non replaceable, how did you change it?
^Its 'user' non replaceable. Actually you can, with proper tools but the battery would be difficult to find.

I'm from the northeast.. India. I want to know more on how to get it done cheap.
The issue is about screen getting glitched output. I don't think this is a software issue. There is some hardware issue because I tried flashing 5.0, 5.0.2, 5.1.1 still problem persists. Randomly at any time the glitched screen like seen in the pic is popped up in between from any app or just home screen. First i thought some app may be causing this but its not the issue. I deleted all the apps still this problem stays.

I've been spreading word in xda about the same issues. If you search the Q/A forum, you'd find too many people having this issue. This is due to a faulty GPU when the device heats up excessively. Recurrent issue in a Nvidia chip. If you bought it recently within 30 days on eBay, I'd suggest you return your device and claim your money back. Else I'm afraid you are screwed since neither HTC nor Google offer warranty if purchased through unofficial sources in India.

Now that what i feared. Let me see if they will take this back. Anyway thanks for the info that was really helpful
Unfortunately your Nexus 9 is toast. This happened to my first one and it got so bad it would happen during boot and I couldn't get any further. HTC was next to unless. Delt with them for 3 weeks trying to get an exchange. They are clueless. They wanted to try flashing stock image over and over. I'm like dude, I'm a Nexus owner. Don't you know your customer base? Anyways, best buy agreed to exchange it for a new one if I bought their premium protection plan, which I did gladly. But it is a hardware failure. There's no fixing it.
I just had my day one nexus replaced for the same issue last week. Had been getting worse for months. I called warranty service, told them about the screen corruption/noise/lockup issue needing a mainboard replacement. sent my tablet back and they overnited me a replacement that appears brand new (mine was mint condition as well). Still has lightbleed and so-so buttons but works great and I've put it through its paces. Only thing I had to tell them was the serial # but I was the original amazon purchaser.
Is it a newer build date than your original?
I had an experience similar to techiedj's. Got my old N9 replaced by Google a few weeks ago. Replacement looked brand new, but is actually an older built with slightly crappier buttons. Curious how long this one will last now...
These are the symptoms that I saw: At some point the screen started to flicker for a few seconds, then froze, and slowly turned black. After a few second I could turn on the display again. The area on the back next to the camera had become hot, but apps that read the sensor values did not really show high temperature (50 degrees or so). A good way to trigger it was to open Chrome and open multiple pages in a short time (opening different links in new tabs). Surprisingly, seemingly GPU intense games were less affected by this than Chrome. Factory reset did not help, even when I skipped the initial login/restore apps step.
Hopefully they aren't all doomed to this fait at some point. I have best buys replacement plan now, so this this can die early Jan 2017 and I'll get whatever the new Nexus is then.
Not really. HT4AJ I think it was, HT4AY on this one.

I went from an AE to an AF. Hard to believe best buy still had old stock, but I guess they didn't sell a lot of these. Buttons are nearly perfect on this one though. Way more tactile and the volume up isn't sunken in.
So, my phone died a boot loop death. With warranty left til April 2018 Huawei agreed to repair it however after several calls and four weeks of waiting, Huawei have now admitted they no longer make parts for the 6P and are going to send me a gold Huawei Mate 9 (I have no choice in the colour) however it will take them another two weeks and it will not have a UK charger, but a European one.
Has anyone who didn't get their 6P through Google have a similar experience?
Not true, my motherboard went bad and they repaired it out of warrenty, also the battery and screen were replaced, I just got it back last week.

Maybe it's just here in the UK/EU where they're having these issues. I too had a replacement screen, speaker and Bluetooth module earlier this year as a speaker died.
I'm waiting for over a month now for parts needed for simple battery replacement here in Poland.
Shame I didn't read this sooner, sent mine off for repair on the 25th of October.

Contact Huawei and see what they say. My mate 9 arrived yesterday. So far it seems like a worthy successor to the 6P and is much better in terms of build quality. The only issue I had is that they sent me one with a European charger which means I've had to buy a separate UK charger to enable its supercharging function.
Good luck.

You may get lucky depending on what your fault is. Mine was a bootloop issue and it would have needed a new motherboard to fix it.

I didn't give them the device - we've discussed that I'll do that once they have all the parts needed so I won't be without a phone for long.
Also I'm not interested in getting other Huawei phone in exchange as I want clean Android, not one with OEM skin on top of it.
That's a pain. I'd speak to Huawei again as it's against UK law for them to provide you the phone without a UK plug for a retail product so the same likely applies to a warranty replacement product. I had my battery replaced a couple of weeks ago but that took less than a week and all went smoothly. Battery life is great now so I seem to be one of the lucky ones.
Best of luck getting it sorted.

Yeah, it's not really a huge issue. If you do still want to get in touch with Huawei I'd suggest their online chat support. It's normally pretty quick to connect you with someone.

I'm having the dreaded touch lag issue on my poco device.
I've sent it back for repair or refund but they refuse to do anything since the touch tests pass.
I tried explaining them my previous 3 years old device is fine and that the poco which is much newer and faster should do this and they don't listen to me, they say that the device is working like the manufacturer intended for it to work.
So, can anyone record a video?
It should only take 2-3 minutes to record and upload. Do it in 480p it doesn't matter as long as it shows the issue.
There are 2 ways to do it, the correct way, and the fast way, I'll write both.
1) Go to about phone, kernel version, tap a few times then CIT testing app will open. (if it doesn't open try again)
Then go to the top right and press the three dot menu, then additional tools, then touch sensor.
Then tap really fast on the edges of the display. If your device is working as intended the touches should all be registered.
2) Download realdrum, and tap really fast on the below drums on the edge of the display, If your device is working as intended the drums should register all the inputs without missing.
Again it's urgent, so I could use all the help I can.
Thank you.
Did you tried your device without a case? I read about cases doing this issued.

I feel for you. All the 7 pocophone I have tried have this annoying issue. I've complained and asked people about it, and who claims that theirs is working fine is either using Swiftkeyboard (which isn't as fast as Gboard), or simply doesn't know how to test this properly. Maybe they just don't notice it at all, but I doubt there's a single pocophone without this bug, and this is what made me give up on the phone.

Wow.
God damn it Xiaomi, how can they release a faulty device and take no responsibility for it?
Samsung went ahead and recalled all the Note 7s that had the battery issue, a much more expensive and higher selling device.

2 returned from a retail store, 2 from amazon, 1 that I tried from a store and 2 more from friends of mine. It's absurd how bad their quality control is. They claim that it's software, just like they claimed the screen bleeding was part of the phone. They're a ****ing joke.
Do you have a screen protector on , or to be more specific, a tempered glass one with the black band? If so this is your issue because the black band is slight raising the contact. Have you tried pressing the device harder to see it it registers?

Most of the units if not all have this problem, I canceled my order for this phone recently and I'm glad that I did. Xiaomi had to save on something and they did, sadly on the screen. Screens from tianma are known for their not very good quality ( rumors say that they catch afterimages after time ) and it feels bad that it turned out that this phone is a big no no. Screen is a numero uno thing when it comes to a phone, damn u look and type on it so despite the great specification this phone is a crap. People all over miui forum write threads that their pocophones have input lag and ghost touches. Xiaomi knows about it and since a month clam that they gonna fix it via ota updates. Let me tell you something they won't. It's not possible to fix it because it's a faulty digitizer that causes the problem which is obviously a part of the hardware. That's what happens when you try to rock the world with the best spec budget smartphone and u cut costs in the lcd panel area. With all that being said, don't fall for this phone. If you look for the good phone for 300 bucks then better option imo is for example Lg g6. Don't get fooled and stay open minded guys, peace.

Good decision, refund this crappy phone and get something better. When it comes to me xiaomi just lost a supporter and follower, once Hugo Barra left xiaomi everything started to fall apart ( mi mix 2/2s are not as revolutionary as the first mi mix was or the mi 8 which is nothing else than a iphone x copy ). It's always good to wait and see the very first 3 months after a phone release, usually after this time most of the fails/cons come out. Have a good day anyways

Well, it doesn't change the fact that lcd panels in pocophones are poor quality. I don't really believe that they managed to fix it via updates, only time will tell after let's say a month if the problem is fixed. I don't think that it will, it's better to send the phone back, get ur money and wait. There are way better options for example the aforementioned one plus 6.
Working fine for me
For me it is working fine. I can't see the blue line which show the position but the touch is working fine even when I tap it fast. The touch is always registered without the blue lines. You can always see a red dot where you touched.
