Description: This is a very simple application. It annoys me to all hell that if you have birthdays assigned to your contacts, Windows Mobile will not automatically add them to the calendar. Every phone I've had previous to my WM phone does this. Yeah, you can sync to Outlook, but I refuse to set Outlook up for something that should be done natively.
What's even more frustrating is that the WM5 SDK has a simple code sample (which is where I started this from) to accomplish this task yet it's still not included.
Anyways... this is my first WM application and I think it does it's job pretty well for now.
Notes:
It currently does not duplicate entries. It will only create entries for birthday's that aren't currently in the calendar. However, if you have a birthday alert set up, but it's not in the form of the contact's "FirstName LastName's Birthday" -- it will duplicate it.

If I add a contact later on and run your app, will it duplicate the entries, or does it check to see if the birthdays are already added and just add the new ones?

I wonder how was the result too. Will is duplicate the item(s) or will just update the new one? Because we always key in contact's birthday subsequently.

- it would best if the status of the entry be set as free.
- the all day appointment is entered wrong in the dates i.e. 25/06/09-24/06/09. which means you can't edit it, if required
- could the first time the program is run work out the age of the person as if the appointment was entered on the day they were born?

Last one sounds like a good idea especially as S2U2 shows the "age" of the anniversary on the lock screen.

I just used the App, then Soft reset, not all of the birthdays were added to the calendar. And their birthdays were synced off Facebook. (using a Fuze with winmo 6.5)
If run the app again, it says none of the dates were added, you might already have them added.

I believe it is currently set at 2 Hours. I will add this to my To-Do list, to make the reminder time customizable. I'll also have to make the option to overwrite the current values because right now it will just skip over any existing entry.

Multi-language is a possibility, however I want to get the program pretty finalized before I attempt eyecandy/translation type stuff.
*** NOTE (6/25/09): I have taken down the program for the time being. I've found a bug that might cause some problems for users with large contact lists (with contact's birthday's). By not starting the the recurring event on the user's birthday, each subsequent yearly event shows them as being 1, 2, 3, etc instead of their current age + 1, 2, 3, etc. I don't currently have a way to replace the events without deleting them all before hand, so I don't want to cause problems for anyone. I should hopefully have this fixed tonight ***
Nice Idea, but with bad results for me. Now i have hundreds of calender tasks on my PDA. And every single birthday is wrong on date and age (all are aged 0 years) After sync with Outlook i can't find the wrong data. How can i get the wrong data of my pda?

Command line options:

What do you exactly mean by this? I think you can just use negative values to add gains. I will add a grand total in the next version. Subtotals may be later.

I think I now what is the problem: you probably have to recreate the folder:

I guess you modified the cab so that it creates the folder?
I modified the program itself so it will do the same (version 0.81a)

Because i added a value to the cab, so i don't have to change manualy after the install, but something strange happens:
i set the path to \storage card\files\others and the reg value is ok, but
the program saves the files in \storage card\files ?!?!
Do you have any suggestion ?

I think you have to add a '\' to the end of your folder name in the registry. I guess your database-filenames now look like storesEasyExpensesData.ini ?
It is only stored in that regkey.

if you have S2U2, and have activated the "show appointment" option, you can automatically read your sms without having to unlock your device.

after you execute the application you will see this:
after that, click on any part of your screen except the OK button because it will close the application if you do.
When the application is running in the background, any NEW sms will be logged into your calendar.

It sure is. I did what you said, selcted "No", (I then, because I use WKTask, hide to set the app to hide always so I wouldn't accidently close it) and waited for a text. Just like you said, it shows up. And I assume you assign it the hour length so it will disappear after said hour, which it does. So it's perfect. The only thing I would suggest would be the ability to vary the length of how long it stays on your screen. Like right now you have it set for an hour, maybe add the option for a few minutes or a half hour. Kinda had a risque text and forgot about it showing up on my lock screen when I handed it to a friend!

Great app! In this pic, is the next release going to have a popup (or at least an option to have a popup?)
My suggestion is that there is a popup when a new text comes in, and that when you touch it, it goes away and is marked as read. An option to not mark it as read as well in your config. Pretty much, I don't want to have to unlock my phone to mark the message as read and still be able to see previous messages.

I think this program is great - Would there be a way of making a similar program that will instead just take calendar appointments from SMS messages in a particular format, and add them as calendar appointments?
I get google calendar reminders sent by SMS in the following form: "Reminder: Visit Parents @ Thu Jun 25 - Sat Jun 27, 2009 ([email protected])" or "Reminder: Important Meeting @ Thu Jun 25 5:05pm - 8:25pm ([email protected])"
Would there be a way to modify your app so it only adds these to the calendar?

Actually iAgenda is another finger friendly program for tasks (and appointments), http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=515903.
Otherwise I think your program looks great! It's a little slow loading, but that's because you use c# or vb.net I assume? I had the same problem when I did my hgToday/hgAgenda.

2. I cant change priority...
3. For every task it says Normal due to 1/1/01??
4. No start menu icon

Yes, I use C#. I start that program just once and then I minimalize it so it stays in the memory and loads fast.

It is using outlook tasks - when you change something in TasksManila it appears in outlook tasks as well. Or did you mean something else?

1. Ok, in next version I will remove the last confirmation and map the "cancel" on the right menu button.
2. Editting of tasks is not suppored yet - in to-do list
3. it says 1/1/01 for tasks which dont have set the due date. In next version I will skip this information in such tasks.
4. Can you post screen and which device/WinMo do you use please? As you see on my screenshots I have Start menu icon there (tested in emulator + WVGA and VGA WM6 device)

In next versions I will add New Task window where you can specify task's details. The upper textbox is just for quick task adding (I got inspired by original task list).

Functioning Fake Fingerprint reader.
Customization of some components of the program.
[V1.5] Now has text saying what it is doing [Analyzing, Waiting, SUCCESS, DENIED]
How to Install:
Download the attached CAB file.
Transfer the CAB to your phone and run it.
Install to the PHONE (I have not tested it on SD Card)
Complete the Installation.
Done.
How to Use:
To Customize: In the start menu go to CycloneApps / FFP_LockScreen and run the Customization EXE.
Enter appropriate values into each field and click OK.
To Use:
Locking: Run the FFP_LockScreen EXE.
Unlocking: This program unlocks based on a counter. When you put your finger down on the scan-zone it will start moving a scanner down and up. It starts at the top. When it hits the bottom, the counter will be at ONE, when it goes and hits the top, it will be TWO, and so forth. When you release your finger, if the counter value matches the programmed value (Default is 6, but it can be customized), it will unlock, otherwise it will not.
Bugs:
There are bound to be issues with the Topbar Items because I made them myself and very rustically put them together, so if there are any issues with them, please report them!
There may be scanner issues based on the nature of the counter, so before reporting a bug, try again to make sure you didnt hold too long/ too short.
Notes:
This is Public Release 1.0, so not all features are there yet.
I plan to add in some more customization.
[V1.5] Removed "On-Screen Text" because I found it useless...
Eventually make it a whole lot faster.
Due to how it is programmed, this may gobble up battery, so use at your own risk of losing charge.
I do plan to eventually swap over to C++.

Sorry, I forgot to comment out some DEBUG code I was using to see if the topbar would be large enough to show the numbers!

I am currently working on some improvements to the program. But if this release proves to work correctly, I may not release the new version until I port it over to C++ [If a C++ dev would like to help me out, that would be amazing!]...But we shall see with time...

well... it doesnt work on my phone ... althought i have set the counts to unlock ... but it still wont unlock my screen ...
it's only work if i click on the icon to initialize lockscreen, but if i lock device when i click on button to unlock the lock screen don't appear...it's unlock yet...why this?

That is how you use it, is is mentioned in the other thread that it does not replace the default winmo lockscreen,
it is a standalone app at the moment so you manually activate it ( as per 'how to use' instructions in the OP post)

I am fully aware that the program expired today. I had set it up so. This expiration served as my deadline. And I am proud to say that I have reached said deadline.
I am currently in school today, last day of classes, but when I return home, I will release Public Release 1.5 [Has bug fixes, and some new features].

Overall feedback shows that application works fine on the most mobiles. However I received two emails describing an issue with buttons on the main screen which do not disappear when user goes ie. to "About" page. It happend for a particular HD2 and Touch HD, but other owners of these device models state that the application works ok. I am still investigating this issue.
Hope you will provide me with some constructive feedback about this app.

Cool app.
Since touch screens can measure degrees of pressure applied, it would be great if we could use the touch screens on our phones as a scale to weigh ourselves.

yes because our phones can handle 100+lbs on them...
Just downloaded to try it out.
A small point - for those of us of advancing years, a quicker way of setting the date of birth than having to step back month by month would be great (or did I miss the easier way?)

AFAIK I can use software keyboard to provide the value directly. Or even using software cursors to change a year, month or a day.

At the current stage I'm not planing to add another translations - but if more people will ask for this change I would make it.

Ok, please give me some time to prepare a text spreadsheet for translation purposes. I will add the link on my website and in case of any other languages need (including Dutch - mentioned previously) it will be available for download, translation and sending me back.
Regarding the "waist recording" - this feature would be added in the future but I have to rethink this concept first.

It is nice and works well on my HTC TP. There is an spelling error on BMI table under "severely underwght" legend. Also I would like to see an option to select Kg/Lbs and cm/In in my specific case my scale is in Lbs and my tape mesuare is in meters

have you used the sense sdk's here from xda, or have you made a different look?
I cannot add any links yet (xda spam prevention).
No I haven't used the "sense sdk" from here and haven't changed the application appearance since it's beggining. I've made it in VS2008 using standard form controls. This app is really simple just to allow quick saving of weight result and browse the results if needed.

npoe: "severely underwght." had to be short to fit the screen on some devices. Splitting cattegories Kg/Lbs and cm/In might be a good idea.
Larry Brent: I wanted to create more smooth chart based on average values but the results precision become more important in this case. Maybe in the future I will provide average value with another similar feature.
