I'd buy it just for the Android wall charger.
That thing is sweet.
lol a guy at my works came in with this piece of crap after I got my G1, it is barely any better than a fake kids phone, seriously it is the worst phone I have ever had the misfortune to touch. The android clone isn't even close to what android should be, awful. STAY WELL AWAY!!!!
lol
i didnt realize till the last post that it didnt say t-mobile or any kind of branding lmao

wow, they even cloned the Magic and the iPhone.
You can't put Android on a device like that because there isn't enough internal memory to store Android, as Android is a very hefty and fat OS. Those use an OS called Nucleus which take up very little memory, and is just themed and skinned to look like an Android.
regardless of how **** the OS is, the actual phone looks sexy as hell
and i want that wall charger
I think just selling the charger would make them more money then the phone itself.

Anyone got the official android os on their Touch Pro yet? I'm getting it on the 2nd and i want to port android to it immediately once i get home from the sprint store.
(by official i mean from the source code released yesterday 10/21)
I don't think it's that easy
Let us know if it worked.
I'm just wondering if anyone has done it yet, or if anyone has started, etc. I don't pretend to have sufficient knowledge to even try, so i was looking to others for help...

2nd, search before you post, there's no reason to clutter the forum with redundant redundancy of a redundant nature.
1) the wiki has like 2 pictures of a Haret bootup of the sdk rip of android, i was wondering about the g1 version android
2) Same as the above (sdk version vs. g1 version) last time i checked.
It's not like i didn't search, if anything i misunderstood some threads
You're named after a Dannon Yogurt snack, therefore I don't feel I owe you an apology.

Android on Touch Pro
That would be an interesting ROM. The Dream has similar spec as Raphael, and they are within half a year of each other, so it would be quite possible to run Android on Raphael. I would like to try it, once Android gets better established and I get sick and tired of WM.
Longhorn android
has anyone tried androkkid on the longhorn rom of windows mobile 6.5? Mines mad slow
what a shame to answer users like this such a pity for you man you make me sick Black93300ZX and what are you going to say about my nickname now? Eh ?!
i would like the happenings app from android or moto cliq
He's from Brooklyn he cant help it!
I can use both the apple blutooth keyboard and mouse on my galaxy nexus so it has nothing to do with them not working on "android" but rather not working on whatever drivers / kernel is used with the TFPrime... I wonder if having the ability to install AOSP roms and Kernels when they unlock the bootloader will remedy this situation... so far none of the software mentioned in any thread has assisted me in getting them to work. both pair perfectly fine with the tablet but when it comes to actual use neither the mouse or keyboard input anything.. i really need this to work while i wait for my dock to ship.. and yes it has to be apple keyboard and mouse because that is what i have laying around and dont want to buy new hardware.
Why did you start another thread about this there is already one !!

I had the same thing happen after the ICS upgrade. This worked for me before the upgrade. I don't know what that means as I haven't had a chance to dig into it.

I haven't been into the Atrix forums in a while, so I would like a rom recommendation.
I have an rooted, subsidy unlocked AT&T Atrix. Its currently running Homebase but I am having issues with it, primarily:
Xorg is using about 50% CPU cycles, causing the unit to run hot and killing my battery. Im not sure why, perhaps a memory leak, but whatever it is, I would still like to try something else.
I WANT webtop (Ubuntu) and maximum functionality. Fingerprint reader needs to work. HDMI w/o dock mod needs to work. I don't care about what the UI looks like as I'll replace it with GO Launcher.
BTW: I'm using a Galaxy S2 right now, prior to that a 4S, but something about the Atrix keeps me coming back to it. I love this phone, there is literally nothing else like it (feature wise) on the market. Not even the Atrix 2.

Wet Dream if you want to set your Atrix apart from the rest thanks to the Webtop Environment!
But you can also try ICS (CM9 KANG) if you haven't already tried it on the SGS2.
I've been using Wet Dream with a highly modified Webtop2SD environment but ever since I installed CM9 just to see ICS I truly think it's well worth it even on it's Alpha status.. (I think it has already upgraded to Beta status!) Woohoo!

I love CM9 so much.
But with Fingerprint+Webtop which are Moto's, u really shoulda go Wetdream, even if i had more issues with WET DREAM than with ICS yet
And i am writing this only to get my 10 posts to thank Jokersax for ICS so much

Do we have any DEV interested in joining the force?
This would be really slick. Sounds like they're making it pretty straightforward for devs to get working once Samsung decides to allow it. Let's hope they do!

Some people have already had success running Ubuntu on the Galaxy Note. It's not an official build so it won't be as tight as the one Canonical has running on the Atrix, but it's a pretty promising start.

hmm... not quite
that one is different
that one is really running Ubuntu in Note or whatever phone you have
the new one is HYBRID
you are still running Android, but at the same time it's running Ubuntu
so when you do things in Android or Ubuntu, both sides updates immediately
and the phones automatically switches back between a Desktop or a phone as you dock / undock the phone

Does anybody have any information about the development of this for the i717? I haven't been able to dig up how this hybridization process works. if i had access to the sources that cannonical came up with for the atrix prototype I'm fairly certain it should be a direct port.
it strikes me particularly odd that cannonical would keep this technology closed source given how open ubuntu generally is.
please, anybody with info, give a shout...
I know that this thread hasn't been posted in for a while, but I'm very interested in the functionality that it represents. I'm rather curious to know why there isn't a greater amount of pursuit of this from either user demand or dev perspectives.
I'm interested in any new information anyone can provide!
Thanks!
I wonder how many people are running some version of Ubuntu right now. I've been using it for a few years now and would loooooooove to see my phone and laptop be an extension of each other!

Yeah. 4 years, and Google still can't make a smooth device.
I wanted to buy this thing, but I'm not so sure now. What's the point of such great hardware if the software can't handle it?

A gif?
Also, look up, the word "gullible" is written on the ceiling in 72 point helvetica font.
Well, maybe you could look at the gif and see that it's the Nexus 10 still having the same performance issues I had on Android since my very first Android...
Thing is, I was promised that the OS would be smooth/that it's beta software/that an update will fix it/that it's just one site.
And it's NEVER like that. Out of the five Android devices I owned (all high-end, I must add), not one didn't have any lag.
Five Android devices, five broken promises.
The device will be smooth, but I must admit that Chrome can stutter like this, If you used Dolphin or AOSP browser it just doesn't happen. Google dropped the ball with Chrome, it should have been updated faster, by making it the stock browser they are hurting the Nexus 10's reputation, this a a quote from the The Verge's review
"Not everything's perfect yet: scrolling in the browser can still be stuttery at times"
If Google had used stock AOSP browser, then perception of the device smoothness would have been much better. I cannot understand why Google released the device when a major part of the software was not bringing its A-GAME.
Are you crazy? Nexus 10 is super smooth you wont believe it, what does that stupid gif tell you? Buy the device and you will see. What a silly impression of the nexus 10-.-"
Let's wait until the device comes out before we start making claims about its performance.
