Since i'm with bell can i buy a touch pro sprint with bad ESN and activate it with bell or can they detect other carrier bad esn aswell ?
finally i would like to know how i can do the transfer without having to process with bell...the less i comunicate with them the better i am.

cdma to gsm (and other options for USA to Australia)

im going to be in australia for the next few months, and im looking into what phone im going to use there.
Its tough, because ive grown attached to having all the toys on my verizon xv6800, and dont want to go back to a standard phone.
Is it at all possible to get my titan to work on an Australian network? if not, can anyone point me in the direction of some information about other international phone options?
if anyone on here is from australia please let me know, i'd love to get in touch and get whatever information i can about plans and other info.
im open to any suggestions or other options for what i can do about a useful phone in australia.
Thanks alot
Entirely different radio and chip structures
well, you can always use your xv6800 just not to make calls. WiFi and GPS would work, you'd have no cell signal.
So, I suggest carrying 2 devices or searching online or picking up a GSM HTC smart phone. The Tilt/Kaiser Raphael (Touch Pro GSM) and the Blackstone / Touch HD and so many more cooler new devices will work in Australlia. However, some of those things are costly and you could natively use an older HTC phone.
You could buy an unlocked phone and just put a sim in there when you arrive.
The 2 main questions are what do you want to spend on a phone and will you rely on a data connection other than wifi?
I thought there was native CDMA coverage in australia? Or is it only new zealand? I would agree an ebayed tilt unlocked and a prepaid sim would probably be the best route.

Flashing a Sprint Touch Pro to use on Verizon's network

Does anyone know if its possible with this phone? In the past its been done on other HTC phones (the mogul for one)...
I'd really like the touch pro on verizon, but their version of the phone is crippled...
Thanks
Here is the thread i used over at PPCgeeks to get a sprint TP working on VZW

Sprint Touch Pro on Bell. Will it work?

I'm looking at getting a Sprint "locked" Touch Pro from ebay that I would like to use on the Bell network. I know it has to be unlocked. Is there anything else I would have to do? Will it even wok at all???
Thanks in advance
yes if the esn or pESN / MEID is changed to match a Bell phone
Ok that's interesting and just to be sure can i buy a sprint Touch pro with BAD ESN and use my current Mogul ESN to make it work on bell Carrier ???
that would be very nice !
Yep thats exactly what I did.. Got a Sprint Touch Pro with a Bad ESN.. the only difference is I fixed it with a Vogue ESN..

i have a hard time finding a good tutorial to make my touch pro work with the ESN of my mogul. Does anyone know where i can find that information ?
I've found a Raphael that has the following problem:
THE ESN DOES NOT WORK, THUS CANNOT BE ACTIVATED WITH THE SPRINT NETWORK
Does it work in Europe? I don'tknow what ESN is.
Thanks

HTC TP Flash from AllTel to Sprint

Sorry for the noob question, but wanted to make certain before I made the financial regret on the purchase...
Say I get a used Alltel HTC Touch pro and I need it on my Sprint network... just flash with the Sprint stock ROM, run through the other steps and call sprint to activate the new phone when needed?
Would there be any issues with bad ESN's, etc?
Thanks in advance.
other facts: I have sprint, old phone broke (Mogul).

Raphael in Thailand

Hey guys! today I'va aquestion about my coming Raphael 800. I'm now in Thailand using cell phone under a carrier called "Hutch". It's CDMA 800 network(CDMA2000 1X). I saw some guys in Thailand could activate Vogue, Diamond and even Verizon Touch Pro. I don't know how could they do that! But I think this is such a very cool thing! Anyone can advice me to do it by myself? I want to try my best first before go to them.
Thank you guys!
Please also advise me what kind of H/W and S/W neccesary for this operation
Thank you so much
Convert USA phones NON RUIM to Thailand CDMA
U first need to buy an Pay As You Hutch/Cat CDMA Card, and a Sim Card Reader, Download the CDMA RUIM Sim reader software found in this forum, and get the esn imsi from them.
You need to change the imsi, esn on your mobile. So far you will be able to make receive calls, send / receive sms. Some phones like touch pro, if you are using Sprint rom, change the rom to Verizon, because you won't be able to receive sms.
Next go to Hutch Shop, ask to speak to the Tech Guy, all hutch shops have em, ask him for all the data usenames and passwords etc, you be able to get data up.
Included is the PRL for hutch thailand.
