Got any pics of the solid black TPU case? Bought the $35 TPU case with leather from ATT today and am regretting paying that much.
All of those have to be modified to open up a hole for the noise cancelation mic.
$16.99 Free Shipping.
More of a skin than a case. Really nice feel/texture. Fits like a glove. Not loose, baggy, or bulky.

I have both of these. The case is okay but the buttons are very hard to press. Fit is decent. I am taking my case back. The screen protectors are good. Fit is good but takes some work to make it perfectly aligned so they don't bubble on the edges.

I would rather modify a sweet case then choose from the few unattractive ones available any day.
I have these on the way from ebay - $16 and $6 respectively.

I also purchased the 3$ case from Amazon (with shipping). Very good fit. Too bad I was walking to the mailbox to get the case and dropped my phone! ahh... At least I didn't crack the screen.
Just got my ringke GS2 ATT case from today and its awesome. There is also a mic cutout for the noise cancellation mic. The texture and feel is nice and smooth. The case is very detail and it is really slim. Loving this thing on my phone. I might just get the screen protector too.
I've had this one for a little over a week now and love it. It's the highest quality TPU case I've tried on anything so far. The trim around the bezel fits tightly, there's a top mic cutout for AT&T, and the volume button overlay is easy to press. The power/wake button is just a cutout, which both makes it really easy to find and push but hard to accidentally press in a pocket. There were a couple of spots where there was a little extra material, but nothing an x-acto couldn't fix quickly.
$9.90 and Prime eligible for the matte version and screen protector.

I got that same tpu case from eBay. The only thing I don't like is that the volume rocker is really stiff and I'm contemplating cutting it off to reveal the actual buttons. Other than that really low profile and snug fit.

I just received my case like this and I think it was a great buy for the money. My case fits perfectly and has the cutout for the mic.
Hello XDA,
Im looking for a case that will protect the nexus 6 from minor drops and that i will be able to enjoy from its beatiful desing and its white color.
I dont want the case to hide the white color on the back and the "NEXUS" writting. It will be great if the case could seal the audio input to prevent it from getting dirt and eventually ruining it.
I dont mind if the case will make my phone bigger or heavier by much.
Highly prefer Mat material and not plastic because plastic fealing makes my hand sweat.
Could you please recommend me a good case that fits my needs?
Appreciate any help offered!
I got this one and like it. Transparent back and choice of color for the sides. Cutouts are accurate.

Its up to you, there is no "best transparent case" but there are many good choices.
Here are my favorites for clear/transparent casesmost of my cases are clear/transparent)
SUPCase (frosted clear PC back with TPU bumper)
TUDIA ( TPU Clear top and bottom with a matte clear back
Cruzerlite (clear back and sides TPU with android logo on back)
Evecase (100% clear TPU case but the buttons are hard to push)
Ringke Fusion (hard PC back with TPU bumper)
I'm a big fan of my Orzly Flexislim. It's the frosted clear color. There's also a smoky black one out there but since you've got a Cloud White I figure this is most applicable to you.
Here's an Imgur album of photos I snapped for someone else to review: http://imgur.com/a/1glfT

Buttons are probably my least favorite part of the case. It's just cut-outs, and the material left around the cutouts is pretty thin. I'm not afraid it will tear or anything, just that they are the two bits of wiggliness on the otherwise solid case.
On the plus side all the sides (both top and bottom) are covered all the way around which is nice. This is in contrast to cases like the Bear Motion sandstone case or other similar snap-on cases that leave the top and bottom exposed.

Thanks for your replys guys. You've helped me alot. I'm debating between the Ringke FUSION case and the Ringke MAX case. It seem they are the two that best fits my needs. The only thing that prevents me from getting the FUSION over the MAX is that im not sure the case will feel good in my hand. I tend to sweat in my hands specially holding cheap plastic so i fear ill have it with the FUSION case. Is there anyone here that has the FUSION and can share his expirience about the material and grip of the nexus with the fusion case?

the cutout is my fav, in this way the buttons are flushed with the case. Preventing alot of accidental presses.
well, to each his own....this flexislim is my fav case at the moment. Just hope that it comes with more colors.
I just received my Ringke Slim clear yesterday. I dig it:
http://www.amazon.com/Free-Screen-P...20902817&sr=8-2&keywords=ringke+nexus+6+clear
I have Spigen ultra hybrid with clear back and gun metal sides, and the Ringke fusion clear. Still making up my mind which I prefer. The Ringke has caps for the headphone and USB sockets....the headphone one is OK but the USB takes a bit of fiddling to get it to close flush. I think I prefer the feel of the Ringke but the Spigen feels a little more solid. The Ringke is better for the buttons, there's a clear separation between the power and volume buttons. With the Ringke case there's a clear audible click when the buttons are pressed, which I don't get with the Spigen. Both cases work OK with my tylt vu charger.

As you can see in my signiture, i had Motorola atrix 4G as my daily driver before the Nexus 6. I didnt use the audio port quite much and it got ruined by the dust overtime. Same thing about the hdmi port but not the usb port.
I had the atrix for almost 3 years and those port got ruined twice after i repaired them. If i took the atrix to the beach i noticed it always got sand into the port even i didnt took it out from my backpack. Sand can get in from the tiniest holes and i plan to use the nexus 6 for a long time, therefore i wanna make sure i get the best suitable case for me.
Cheers.
Huge fan of the Cruzerlite cases. I have the clear one on my N6 now and it's great.
EDIT: I'm using a Dbrand skin, so I switched to Ringke Fusion Crystal so I could see the skin more clearly on the back. Fantastic clear case.
Tried due diligence and to search for the right thread.
I picked up the Fosman case on Amazon, one of the cheapo $10 ones, and it's turned out pretty great. Love the matte/frosted back, though I wish it were a bit more transparent so the black came through better. Good purchase, though I'm sure all of these TPU / cruzerlite / whatever companies are pretty much selling the exact same product.

I hav both and they both have good grip on the sides and are a bit slick on back.
Two others you might want to consider are the uag maverick and the poetic affinity. They both have threads here so search and read about them. I have the uag and like it but the back is a little ugly imo. I will be getting the poetic tomorrow, and yes, I have a problem with buying cases. I want to keep my Max incase I want to go back to it but I have a clear fusion I could send you for the price of shipping if you'd like. Send me a pm or email if you're interested.

I cover my ports also to keep crap out..even if you find a case you like but it doesn't have covers you can always spend a couple bucks and grab silicone port plugs online... I use them when not in my OtterBox on my Note and they work well.

How did you like the UAG compared to the Ringke Max? I have the Max now and while I like it I find it a bit slippery on the back, so now I'm gonna try the UAG.

They are both very good cases. The UAG is a little slimmer maybe, but not much. I might actually go back to the Max, I haven't decided yet. I think if you like the one you'll like the other. I guess the one advantage the UAG has is, even though it's still slick plastic the indents on the back give a little more grip, and the volume buttons feel better.

Has any users here used or have this case for their nexus 6? I already paid for it and it will be here tomorrow using amazing 1 day shipping. Curious what others think.
I have it. Bought it and the ringke fusion same time. I like both, and quality seems to be identical. That being said I find I use the ringke more as it has the accent depression on the back that feels good in hand, as well as the protruding buttons are easier to distinguish.
The upside if the spigen however, is that it seems to have less of a rainbow effect on the back at certain angles.
I have this case, I love it because of the clear back, really shows off the beauty of the Nexus 6. However, as mentioned by the other poster, this case makes it very hard to distinguish the power and volume buttons. The buttons on my case also weren't very tactile, I always find myself hitting the wrong one. But, I still thoroughly enjoy this case, it protects the Nexus 6 very well.

Thanks. I am putting a dbrand skin on it...blue one actually. So excited about this. Thanks I always used Spigen for all my devices. Just figured I ask. Is this a slip on type one or is it clip like the metal ones? I didnt really find anything about how it gets put on.
I just push the bottom of the phone in and snap it down in. The border is tpu, so it has some flex while offering some drop protection.
I use a black carbon fiber slickwrap on my n6, and it really does emphasize the beauty of this beast.

The glass do yes, but I got rid of mine because I hate the halo. I'm using the plastic one that came with my ringke.
Nice case ..
Just went to get a replacement for my Slim Armor case for which the kickstand finally died out on me. Noticed two decent sales going on right now.
1. They have a new webpage, and as such are doing a 25% off promo on the first purchase of any new account made on the new site.
2. Nexus 6 Case Slim Armor (Metal Slate Color) is on sale from $29.99 to $4.99
I had nothing else I wanted/needed from them at the moment so combined the offers and paid $3.74 for the case using the free shipping option.

Thanks for the tip. Just ordered one myself.
No problem. Was just good timing that I stumbled across the deal.
Well, for Europe it's actually cheaper to buy them via Amazon (UK, FR, DE, ...), as shipping costs are very high.
Ah yeah, that sucks.
Got the neo hybrid for 11.99
I wouldn't take another Slim Armor for free. Them damn buttons.
Hah yeah I hate the buttons but love the low profile and kickstand. I can't even imagine how many times I've turned off screen trying to adjust volume.
Just did the slim armor and the ultra hybrid. Never owned a case or screen protector for any phone, but have had this thing active for about five hours now and I'm terrified to walk around with it. Something about the curved design does not play well with me.
If they silver case was $4.99 I would get one. Don't like the metal slate. Plus I already have the white one.
Nice find
Damn. Nice find. Just ordered the Neo Hybrid and the Slim Armor for $16.98. Thanks for sharing!
Ordered ultra hybrid and hope it won't be too heavy for me.
Slim armor came today. Not sure why all the negative reviews. I like the flat buttons more than the basic tpu cases (and I've owned a lot of basic tpu style cases).

Oh I wouldn't say the buttons are bad or anything. It's just after extended use I find lots of situations where I reach for the buttons without looking or in low light. When that happens the low profile of the buttons cause me to blindly start smashing in the area and hope I hit the right one. It wasn't something I noticed at first but slowly started to realize didn't work well with me. Even so this is one of my favorite cases that I have tested on the Nexus 6. I had the Neo Hybrid on the Nexus 5 and absolutely loved it, but decided due to the larger screen and increased media watching I do with it the kickstand would be a better fit for me over the raised buttons.
Truthfully this could be a rather quick fix. Thinking of using superglue or something to make a tiny dimple on the power button (think like the one on the F and J keys on your keyboard) so that I can orient my fingers to the correct spot.
The slim armor is a great case, It fits great in the hand, makes the dimple feel better, the kickstand is a bonus.
However,... its simply too thick.
It will not fit in any phone type pouches or wallets,
will not fit in any CD player car mounts.
adds a significant amount of weight.
if you dont use a car dock or Golla pouch then this should not be a problem.
the buttons are a non issue especially if you use double tap to wake/sleep.
Has anyone done anything to help differentiate the power button from the volume buttons? Perhaps some grip tape or something? I really like the Slim Armor case but the buttons are really sensitive and constantly turning off the phone trying to change the volume. I heard someone try to scrape away some of the plastic under the power button but curious anyone put any effort into fixing a $3.50 case?

I bought this http://www.ebay.com/itm/Leather-Hor...t=LH_DefaultDomain_0&var=&hash=item20e2d249db belt clip pouch and the slim armor fits in it. It's a little tight, but it works.
First off, I have ZERO affiliation with this company - I paid full price for the case and waited 2 weeks for it to come from China (I had this case with my V20 and was happy they made it for the S8)
I have bought slim cases from Ringke, Spigen, Caseology for the S8 (all from Slickdeals $$$ off posts) and so far all of them felt a bit too slick and thick(compared to what I've experienced with other phones).
I don't know why more companies don't use the "Salient point" design (what this company calls the textured back)
Makes it extremely easy to hold the phone and a good feel in the hands.
Is it worth $10 when you have other slim case options out there for much less (with promotions)? Since I've experienced the feel of it previously I personally think it's worth it. I do wish they had US stock and didn't ahve to wait so long for it.
Now I will say this thing is THIN, like this is going to offer almost no protection from a drop thin (you get corner and back protection but that's about it). I didn't get it for that, I got it to help with holding the phone. Will a skin accomplish the same- probably and I've considered the Dbrand Dragon skin too.
I will say the case fits SNUG - I had a hard time getting it off to take some pics of it

I've ordered this one. Clear and thin.
https://www.amazon.com/Trianium-Res...d=1493470061&sr=1-1&keywords=trianium+s8+case
Got this one today and it is sweet. Super thin and I like that it covers the buttons.
http://www.ebay.com/itm/232311855985
the thinnest case would be ones made out of polypropylene. some of them get as thin as PAPER. others get thicker/harder plastic feel, but no real point as any drops will crack your glass...
I always buy TPU thermo polyurethane which is very resilient and i've been surprised a few times on how it protected my phones. the thinnest TPU i found are the CIMO
https://www.amazon.com/Galaxy-Cimo-...011&ie=UTF8&qid=1493474636&sr=8-5&keywords=s8
I have the Spigen which is too thick, back side measuring 1.4mm on my calipers
EasyAcc TPU which i'm rocking right now which is 1.3mm
Cimo which hasn't come in yet, but... I've had them for s6 and s7 and it only measures 1mm
I like to cut a small hole and mod the TPU cases so that it works on my modded magnetic charger.

I have this case. It's really nice. Fits well, and really is the thinnest possible case at just .025" thick. I must say it is a little slippery even after using it for a few days. I'll probably try and find a similar one that has a bit better grip, but I would certainly recommend it.
I'd also like to mention there is a small raised lip around the camera opening make the fingerprint reader easier to find while adding a little extra protection the camera.

Loving it so far. It is a bit slippery though, not like other TPU cases I have which provide more grip. The separation between the camera and fingerprint scanner is a nice touch too. I'm guessing it is made from some sort of TPU., it is soft and flexible but not silicone. Be aware this is very light protection. I just wanted something to prevent scratches caused by everyday use. I was going to go naked, but this is pretty close and gives some protection.
I'm loving the new spidgen neo hybrid case
Not sure what spidgen case(s) you've tried this far but I absolutely love the neo hybrid case...
Highly recommend this one...

For under 15bux hell, I bought 2 (different colors)!
Look, this case is meant to be a minimalist case so I'm not messaging any claims about what would happen if you dropped it face (screen) first onto gravel or an uneven surface but face first on a flat surface the screen is protected and any other basic drop on a corner, back or side I'm fairly certain it would be fine... I'm even able to charge on a Samsung qi wireless charger with the case on...
The textured back is perfect for holding it and gives the phone a nice secure fit to your hand...
I'd give it a 9/10 as it could use a little motmore stand out protection at top and bottom to better protect The screen - but that said, this case is soo thin you won't even notice it on your front jeans our slacks pocket... its seriously svelte...
I picked up spidgen's screen protector 2pk and it's just ok not a fan of The clarity but it's staying put without issue in this case and will have to do until zagg remedies their issues with Their tempered glass for the s8 which is virtually useless and not very case friendly... (if anyone has found a good tempered glass protector for the s8 please tag me or pm me -ty)

I also have the Nillkin PC Ultra thin case and have also found it to be to best compromise between offering decent protection and staying pretty slim. There also a tiny lip on the screen side so that it won't rest the glass on surfaces. Looking at it from the front, you can hardly tell that the case is on. The Nature TPU case by Nillkin is also very nice, but you can only get it from China at the moment.

Could you tell me how much it weighs? Amazon lists 1.4 ounces for both item and shipping weight. That's way to heavy for me.

No Protection with this case. It clearly says in description only for scratch. If you want full protection I would suggest that you get this one from Samsung is very slim:

How is the grip
---------- Post added at 05:05 AM ---------- Previous post was at 04:49 AM ----------
Does the olixar flexishield actually have something special for grip? They say it's a non slip coating but is it any different than regular tpu
