Replacing Battery With Warranty Claim - G1 Accessories

I'm planning on replacing my G1's battery because im charging it 3 times a day. It is still under warranty with T-Mobile, so can I just call them and ask for a replacement? Will I have to send mine back? Shipping costs?

I would go into your nearest T_Mobile store and be cool about it.
They might actually exchange it for you

Well actually I was kinda hoping for 2 batteries to be able to use

not sure how it would work for you but a month after i bought my g1 (got mine the day it came out) i called up and complained that my battery wouldnt charge above 80%, they claimed it was due to dead cells and they sent me a new one and told me to keep the old one
first they asked me to do a wipe, and they asked me if it was expanding (the battery), after the wipe and the battery looking fine they just sent me a new one, had it 3 days later, after rc29 came out it fixed my issue with the battery not charging up and the battery started working properly again
just recently i replaced my g1 through insurance (water damange) and asurion told me i only had to send the phone back, not the charger and battery and door that they sent with the replacement phone
i then bought the extended battery to test out and see how well it worked, if youve kept tally, im up to 3 regular batteries, a extended battery, 2 stock battery doors, and a extended door, for next to nothing

i have batteries from t mobile i just called tech support and bull shiet saying that the battery doesnt hold its charge that it dies in 2 hours just on stand-by ROFL and i did this twice so i have a total of 3 batteries LOL and they sent them to me for free too

its sad that the only way to get enough life out of a g1 is to bull**** tech support and have them send you batterys so that you can swap them out throughout the day...
however, it works lol

Battery Dying Issues...

These batteries seem practically useless. If I use the phone constantly text messaging or internet, whatever the battery only seems to last for maybe 45-60 minutes. The original battery died a long time ago, so I got these new batteries on Ebay from China that are 1600mAh. I paid a little more for them because they were 1600mAh instead of the standard 1500mAh, but maybe the quality is bad so the mAh doesn't matter? Does anybody know a better battery or solution? My friend gets these 1650mAh batteries that he swears by, but he pays a fortune for them. So, I don't know. Thank you!

I swear by the Innocell 1650 mAh batteries I get from Seidio (http://www.seidioonline.com). They're $44.95, which I don't consider to be a fortune for something that lasts well over a year. I have two (one in the phone and one I keep charged just in case) and swap them every couple of weeks, and I'm going on about a year and a half with no noticeable dropoff in capacity.
I've seen cheapies on eBay for around $10, but you get what you pay for.
Well, I suppose I should finally get a new battery.... My original battery has finally started to drain too fast... I have had it for 1.5 years...... haha I'll try that new seidio.....
Yeah, that's the same battery my friend got and recommended, but it's too expensive. I found a 2200mAh and 2800mAh on Ebay for cheap. The 2800mAh requires an extended cover, but the 2200mAh doesn't say if it does or not and the guy isn't replying to my emails. Does anybody know? Thanks.

TRY THIS
Sometimes its not the battery
what would happen to me is that i would sometimes leave open programs in the beackground and that would kill the battery fast, especialy if you leave the gps program on it kills it before you know it. Go into the settings and select to close program upon pressing x, that helps otherwise you have to remember to close them or go to task manager and closing them.
Well, I have every closed. You can see my memory usage here, if that's helpful:

im having the same problem!
I've got 2 standard batteries that I had for bout 2 yrs.. I can't seem to find an upgraded battery for my mogul..don't want to get it onlline ... even my sprint stores don't have any new standard batteries either. I hate that I only get a n hour of usage when I used to get about 6 hrs straight!...
Well, my friend gave me one of his batteries. I think he paid $5 for it on Ebay. I tested it, and I used it for 14 straight hours with never plugging it into electricity and it was at 5% after the 14 hours. I used it off and on, making phone calls, sending and getting text messages and using the internet. It really shocked me. I wonder how long they are good for, but even if they only last for 6 months, it's still only $10 per year for 2 batteries. So, I guess time will tell. He is no longer paying the $45 for the Seidio batteries anymore. I think he says they only lasted about a year. So, this might be a better way to go. These batteries say HTC on them, but I think they are sold as OEM batteries...

Hyperion Samsung Galaxy Note 2 x Battery + Charger $24.99

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B006J90GBY/ref=oh_o01_s00_i00_details
I just recieved this in the mail today and am charging them as I write this. Seemed like a fair price for what I hope are quality batteries. If they last a year I'll feel like I got my money's worth.
I'll post updates on their longevity compared to the stock battery once I go through a cycle or two.

I got this as well and it's on its way. I hope to simply rotate them well enough that I get good longevity between the three (the two from this purchase and the OEM one).
i also got them they seem to work just fine
I trust that these batteries will work just as well as the OEM one...in terms of both battery life and overall longevity. Based mostly on the fact it's a US based company.
Unlike those HK ones...that sell for cheaper...but they're lucky to even hold a normal charge for like 3 months. Basically, we get what we pay for...more often than not.
I just ordered this off of Amazon. I figured for the low price it was worth the risk.
I've had them since Note Day #1 (2/17) and they are def worth the money. I just can't say how long they hold a charge, since I haven't kept track yet. My guess is that they don't last quite as long as an oem batt. But they don't seem horrendous and 2 batts and a charger to your door for about $30 is hard to not be happy with.

I had an issue with mine today...
Left a battery on the charger overnight and got up and the light showing it was still charging the next morning....Tried another battery and over 4 hours later, the same thing happened...Put another battery in there, and within an hour (battery wasn't empty), it turned blue letting me know charge was complete (and phone showed 100%).
Got another one in there now and it's been there for about 2 hours, and the light shows it's still charging.
Is there a charger out there that has a display so you can tell what's going on??

I think the charger is the issue...not the batteries...
Take a look at this calculator:
http://www.csgnetwork.com/batterychgcalc.html
The charger this comes with outputs DC4.2V~350mA~±50mA. Using the link to the calculator above, you should expect a 2600mAh battery to fully charge with this charger in about 9 HOURS!!
I'll post updates as I find out more.

That charger charges at 550MA(MAX). That should take 5.37 hours at best. Still a far cry from the 1000mA that the stock charger uses.

consider the fact that you should not drain a bettery beyond 25% or you will shorten the life of it because the work to hard and overheat beyond that so your talking about 75% of 5.37 hours = 4.0275 hours and i dont think thats a big issue unless your battery doesnt make it 4 hours and trickle charge is better on a battery??

I was under the impression (maybe mistakenly!!) that for the first few charge cycles of a battery, you wanted to fully discharge and charge it...then after that...you can you can go back to the 75% rule.
At least that's the way it is with Lithium Poly Batteries.
Am I wrong?
Please Help
I guess this thread is dead?
It would be nice to get an update from those who bought these batteries 8, 10 or 12 months ago... to see how they held up.
I've been researching Hyperion and I've found quite mixed reviews... Several places I found photos (obviously can't be truly verified) of Hyperion batteries with the labels peeled back to reveal the metal shells which appeared to be stamped/marked (presumably by the ORIGINAL manufacturer) with different product ID codes, serial #s, as well as significantly lower mAh ratings than Hyperion's outer sticker.
I'm curious if any of those who started this thread still have their batteries... How have they held up? Are they still good?
Does anyone still have one of these batteries that they're no longer using? Would you be willing to try stripping back the label to check to see what you find under it...
I do believe that there probably are some companies that actually do make good, less expensive alternatives. But the scammers need to be exposed...

Anker's Dishonest and care less Customer service

I have contacted Anker about getting a couple of batteries at a lower price and was told that they will give me a discount, what happened is the rep quoted me a discount price that is higher by $5 than their amazon store and for the battery charger i have asked, they provided me with an old battery charger (71UN42V06-WUCA) that cannot charge the Note battery.
When i emailed them back I got a reply that indeed it can't charge the note 3 battery. Just imagine if i didn't do my research i would have been ripped of by them!
i had an issue with their USB hub. i contacted them and they issued me a quick refund. couldn't have asked for better customer service.
+1 for their Customer Service, it is bar none. They are the only company that offers 18 months warranty on every product their sell. We had a lot of discussions in Note 2 section of the forum about their service, lots of people chimed in to support it. Someone even misused a charger to the point where they thought it affected their phone, Anker guys actually offered to cover a repair bill for the phone (even so it wasn't their fault).
It sucks that you had a bad experience, but I would suggest contacting them again and send a link to this forum post. I'm sure they will make it right by you.
Um Anker has phenomenal customer service...
Sucks you had a bad experience but I have also been in your situation about price matching the batteries and also I ordered the wrong charger cause it wouldn't fully charge my battery (back during s4).
They resolved both issues effectively. They let me return my original purchase and repurchase the combo pack which was the same price as just one battery alone. And they made sure that I got the correct charger.
Anker is the only third party battery manufacturer that I would buy batteries from. I even bought an external Astro 12000maH charger and its excellent.

Well I use Anker batteries from quite a long time and i dont have any issue regarding the product quality, and as per regarding their customer services... I have not heard anything odd from anyone about this...and in most of the cases it is heard to be known very co operative one....So +1 for anker's customer service....
Haven't used Anker since the Captivate days, but I had 2 of their batteries. One started to swell so I contacted them and sent a pic. They replaced it with a new battery in retail packaging quickly. Don't have anything bad to say about them.
I would chalk this up to miscommunication rather than a rip off.
Emailing them for a bundled price and getting quoted a few dollars above the normal retail price and including a battery charger that doesn't charge the battery is definitely not miscommunication, at the best I will call it sloppy. Well it seems like they are efficient in cleaning up their mess when they make a mistake which is a good thing.
I use to own 4 N7000 batteries by anker and all worked well for a year before it bloats up, unfortunately I am unable to ship it back to to them overseas as my country's postal services do not allow it so I can't comment on their after service. However to add on about the batteries that I got from them, they do not seem to have a proper discharge circuit where it shuts down when there is a little battery charge left like the official Samsung battery, causing the screen on the phone to be wavy /flicker.

I use Anker batteries for my dslr and they work as good as the original. Also have batteries for my old gs2 and for both purchases they sent follow up emails to see if everything was working fine. I never had this type of positive customer service before. You should email them back they will most likely sort this out for you.

After a lot of heavy usage, one off the two Anker batteries got fat. Anker sent two new replacements that have worked great.
Anker had great customer service in my experience.

2nd to none customer service!! I ordered the Anker 6400mah extended battery and upon opening the package the back cover was all scratched up. The battery was in perfect condition. I called Anker and spoke to a rep. She told me she will ship me a new one today and expect it in about 3 business days. It arrived as she stated. I opened the package and to my surprise a whole new Anker box which included another 6400mah battery and flawless battery cover!

Anker makes the best external battery pack .
I had bad experience with Anker. I wanted to buy a couple of battery packs as gifts and contacted them to see if they can offer me discounts. I got reply from a rep and she quoted me discount price (which I found it's even higher than their amazon store). And when I received the package, it was disappointing that two of the boxes were broken. I was worried that the battery pack may be broken. I opened one of the box, and what happened is there are scratches and fingerprints around the surface. It's totally an used one. I bought it as a gift!!!!!

If your company(Anker) is so good do you have to resort to creating fake accounts to say your company is the best? Probably not. Such dishonest behaviour only says more Anker and their practices.

Lol might have been a mistake during shipping.they usually do have great customer service. They sent me an extra battery with updated battery cover when my other one had a defect for my s3. Do you think it's worth paying $20 more to get external charger from China right now?

Even though I've had good luck with the couple of things I've bought on amazon from China, my common sense is telling me to not be so impulsive. I found someone in China that has the Samsung external battery charger even though just about everyone has it sold out for now. What are your thoughts? I an getting tired of charging the phone every day because the only battery I have is the one that came with the phone. Ordering from China, you always have the risk of being scammed. It will also take at least a week or two to get here from there. Hmm. Wait a month or two to get it twenty dollars cheaper and from a more reliable source...
Go to the play store and download DS battery saver. It works so good I bought the pro version. I have no need for a spare battery with it

i have me632,BB9930,droid and i9500, my friend.

Does anyone know of a vendor that has legitimate original oem new batteries for sale?

I've searched amazon and the bad ratings of claimed exact replacments are full of counterfeits. Ebay, forget about it. I've considered ordering from sprint but they want $50 for a battery and external charger that God knows who it was rebadged from. I've also considered anker. Some people love them and some say they see the performance taking a steep dive in less than a year. Many say the anker external charger is crap and falls apart quickly. I don't know if the phone or the Samsung external charger would beotch that the battery isn't official and refuse to charge it. I've seen this many times with both the phone and charger, when the hardware was definitely oem.
I have 3 "oem" batteries and 2 "oem" chargers. I write on the battery, the number in which I put it into service. So far, the battery that came with the phone lasts longer than the second. The 2nd is showing signs of buldging and erratic charging levels. After playing games for an hour and a half, it is saying I have 20 something percent. After a reboot, the number jumps to 70ish. My third and newest battery lasts the longest.
Any suggestions?

I recommend sprint or Samsung itself. It's just not worth a counterfeit that can damage your phone and won't hold a charge.
I had 3 batteries for my note 3. 2 from sprint one from Amazon. The Amazon started loosing charging function about 3 months into it. It was the same vendor that I had purchased my prior Samsung batteries from.
I got it because sprint stopped having them in Stock at a store and the eta was 3 weeks.
