i've recently flashed animelover's wm6.5 ROM, which is really great btw. however, the keyboard is not working correctly. My keyboard is just typing numbers. Changing the reg. values i found on here doesn't do anything... so if anyone is running a 6.5 ROM with working keyboard (no ezInput please!) please upload the keyboard driver files...
i'm not sure which files you would have to upload, but i guess some important files are:
keybddr.dll
maybe also: ezinput.dll
@anyone who knows which files are nessecary, please post the file names here!

ezinput actually is a HTC SIP? doesn't have something to do with the hardware keyboard i thought?

ich habe aber ein 20-Tasten-NIKI. Bei Fremd-Roms habe ich, wenn nichts klappte, ezInput und das sprachfile drüber-installiert. Ich denke mal, dass Du die richtigen BJK-Cabs nachinstalllieren solltest. Ist bei fremden Roms manchmal so. Bin grad dabei, die für mich endgültige Version zu testen. Hab noch ein gaaanz kleines Problemchen mit dem simsen, und leider wenig Zeit.

i've tried installing ezInput for 16key keyboard already, however it didn't work

Es schaut so aus ... ich hackle neben her daran! Es ist verdammt schwierig! Derzeit versuch ich unser GPS Problem zu knacken. Also ich kläre mit einigen Leuten ab, ob das überhaupt geht. Ich testete sogar alle SPLs vor, um mögliche fehler zu finden. Derzeit ist mein VMWare Projekt noch nicht in er firma durch. Ab dann hab ich voll die Zeit dazu und dann gibts auch ergebnise! Ende März bin ich fertig.

Das mit GPS und WiFi können wir vergessen:
Fluxkompensator (Produktmanager bei o2 Germany) meinte auf ppc-welt.de, dass der Chip es zwar könnte, aber sie keine Antennen dafür verbauen lassen hätten bei HTC, um den Formfaktor des Star so kompakt hinzubekommen wie er ist.
Das einzige was machbar wäre wäre gehackte Imageontreiber, aber das Projekt dümpelt ja mehr so vor sich hin, obwohl es m.E. das wichtigere wäre.

Das mit dem Cleaned Rom ist genau das gemeint!
Das mit GPS und Wifi ... aus meiner sicht (Nachrichten Elektrotechniker) sind diese beiden Antennen vorhanden. Also ich kann diese Antennen als solches erkennen, was net heisen soll das ich zu 100% richtig lieg! Es gibt sogar ein Bild, wo genau die Wifi Antenne abgelichtet wurde. Wifi Antennen unterscheiden sich grundlegend von GSM/UMTS Antennen.
Zum Thema ATI ... da glaub ich eher, dass wird nicht funktionieren! HTC Nike verwendet ein MSM7200B Chip. Laut aussagen von HTC hat nur der MSM7200A diese funktion.

Porting to other MSM7x00 devices
Many MSM7x00 based HTC devices have not had an official WM 6.1 upgrade yet. Rumor is they will be coming for a bunch of these in August / September. As far as we know, there is NO 6.0 ROM that is compatible with these drivers. As for the upcoming 6.1 ROMs, here are the telltale signs of possible compatibility:
* DDI.DLL exports UpdateByCopy function
* DDI.DLL exports UpdateByFlip function
* DDI.DLL depends on DISPTOOLS.DLL
If those are present, the drivers may just work out of the box. If not, then they won't. For those ROMs that do not have this, a smart chef just may be able to port the Kaiser's DDI.DLL and all dependancies. (Good luck with that!)

but as i don´t think there will be an upgrade for EVERY msm7x00 dev i guess we should start trying to port that dll to our device...
and i also think, that theres a genius here who can do this for the community

Tried porting the ddi.dll and all the dll's dependent on it, and all the dll's dependent on the dll's dependent on the ddi.dll ... etc. It didn't work =P I heard the answer is in some configs in the radio.

In Deutschland würde man dies "unerläuterter wettbewerb" nennen. Sie werben da mit einem Produkt was nicht so läuft wie es im Werbespot gezeigt wird, sowas ist Verboten... aber okay, die Welt wird immer dreister und damit soll bzw. MUSS man zurecht kommen. Ich finde es eine frechheit und das ist auch gut so!

Ja ich finde es gut so das ich es als eine Frechheit ansehe. Sowas ist betrug! Aber es wird doch so oder so nichts daran gemacht, die lachen doch so oder so über uns hier im Forum und glaub mal, es wird zu 1000% schon jemand von HTC hier nachgeschaut haben.
Achja und von wegen " Stay on Topic " ... hat sich denn schon jemals EINER hier gemeldet zwecks Treiber Programmieren? NEIN, niemand und es ist den leuten auch Sch... egal ob es dafür 7000 oder 8000 $ an belohnung gibt! Nür für diesen dämlichen Kaiser machen se was an Treibern, aber das auch 10 andere Modelle dieses problem haben, kratzt ja keinen ( so sieht es hier zumindest aus, denn ich habe hier nur diesen Post gefunden der etwas mit Grafiktreiber zwecks HTC Nike zu tun hat.
Eins ist mir klar, es bekommt so oder so keiner hin ausser HTC selber, wenn überhaupt. Langsam denke ich das die alle nen Schuss haben in dem Laden und nur ein Klops Hardware verkaufen der schon laufen wird... aber das der wie ne Oma läuft interessiert diesen Dreckladen von HTC nicht. GELD, darum gehts hierbei oder warum hat LG im KS20 einen Grafiktreiber spendiert bekommen? Weil se Kohln haben und LG seine Kunden nicht verscheuchen möchte, HTC aber schon, denn anders sieht sowas für mich nicht aus!
Also, viel spaß noch und viel erfolg was euren tollen "treiber" angeht, kommt doch so oder so nix bei rum, nicht einmal ein Funken oder wenigstens mal ein " Hey, wir programmieren gerade einen Treiber für das Nike, es dauert aber noch... "
Diese Lahmen krücken sollten se lieber an Arme leute verschenken die sich schon immer ein PPC gewünscht haben, dann hätte HTC wieder ne chance darauf wenigstens ETWAS ansehen zu erlangen.

stimmt das mit den hardware keys dachte ich mir auch... wenn man den nicht ändern initiiert windows mobile sich wie auf nem kaiser was natürlich nicht funktioniert... muss man erst ne id finden die auf dem niki läuft...

The next Thing is... u don't have any clue about programming...
it's not as easy as u think to write a complete new Driver, that's
why many people hope that a Driver from a other Device will work.
The Touch.dll from a S600 work for Niki out of the box, why not a other Driver
also?!?
If u don't like HTC Handsets why u don't buy some others...
U only be a pesimistic Human...
The Wifi Drivers from Kaiser also will not work for niki, we use the Sedna
Drivers that we patched...
If there are some Drivers completly ready for Kaiser it should be also
possible to patch them for Niki or other Devices...
U could learn Assembler code, and patch ur Drivers ur way and stop crying.

I think u mean Hardware Adresses, cuz the Keyboard Driver is a
complete other File/Driver.
The other Thing is... this is a comercial that only shows the operating mode,

They never said that a HTC Touch Dual is a multimedia Handset, it's a better
office PDA nothing more. Not for gaming not for watching videos.
If u don't like the Niki u could give it back to ur costumer within 14 Days and
say u want a other Device.
And it seams that u emulous of the Kaiser, cuz someone is programming

Yes, youre right. It wasnt okay what i had written... Sorry for that but, why Windows Mobile 6 if the Nike do not Support smooth Video playback or Gaming at all ( expecpt for Solitare or the Megahit Bubble Breaker... ) ? Why has it a Windows Media Player installed? For NOT using it? Hmm... and yes, i ordered an other Phone about 6 Days after buying my Nike. They will change it to HTC Touch Diamond but, if this thing do not run fast enough, i get an LG-KS20.
And yes, i dont know how to write a Driver, i sayd that in my "German" Post already. I know that it is very complicated but... they give away 8000$ for "The One" who writes it. Sounds great but, how much $ may ATI want from HTC for programming a Driver? Its an ATI Imageon Chip right? Correct me if i´m wrong and sorry for my English, thats why i had written my Posts in German.

The general thinking is the ATI Imageon chip isn't in the Qualcomm 7200A (or whatever Rev letter they used).

I have the O2 XDA Star.
Yesterday I want to update my ROM, but the installation failed by 15%.
Also I tried to install the ROM once again, but the installtion didn't want to start.
Now I also see the 3-color display (blue, green red).
In the left corner of this display you see the text :

Is there a chance to get the XDA running?

My problem is, that I can't copy some files on my XDA, because the explorer doesn't open the file directory.
Also the ROMUpdateUtiliy freeze by 0%
Vielleicht versuche ich es auch einfach mal auf deutsch.
Mein Problemn ist, dass wenn ich versuchen will ein neues ROM zu installieren, die Nachrichte bekomme, dass die Verbindung zu meinem XDA fehlgeschlagen ist, obwohl ich das Handy über USB mit dem PC verbunden habe.
Kann ich vielleicht nur O2 ROMs benutzen ?
Ich kann zumindest nicht mehr per Explorer auf das Verzeichnis auf dem Handy zugrifen oder irgendwelche Dateien drauf kopieren.
Dass einzige, was ich sehe, wenn cih das Handy starte ist der Rot-GRÜN-Blaue Bildschrim. Ein Hard- oder Soft Reset funktioniert auch nicht mehr.
So langsam denke ich, dass das Handy damit kaputt ist.

The problem is that I can't copy the sspl file on my device.
The other problem is that every hardspl stops by 0% because the installer says there's no connection to my device.
Is there an alternative way to hardspl, maybe from sd card?

Lade dir Folgendes runter:
HardSPL
und
Custom Rom Upgrade Utility)(RUU)
Entpacke beide Dateien in seperate Verzeichnisse.
1. Verbinden dein MEGA mit deinem PC per USB-Kabel (Telefon muß an sein!)
2. warten bis ActiveSync bereit ist (Symbol grün)
3. Starte "Flash-hardspl.bat" zum Flashen von HardSPL. Es wird ein Backup deiner aktuellen SPL
(Dateiname ist: "spl-backup.bin") und es wird eine Datei namens "check.bin" im Unterverzeichnis "1" erstellt
(dient zur diagnostischen Zwecke)
4. Das Telefon wird automatisch neu gestartet.
5. du kannst jetzt alle gekochten oder originalen ROMs, Splash-Screen-oder Radio-ROM's Flashen.
6. verwenden Sie das beigefügte Custom RUU (ROM) Flasher zu ROMs oder Flash-ROM-Komponenten
PS: Bei meinen ROM's ist der Custom RUU dabei. Einfach "ROMUpdateUtility.exe" starten und den anweisungen folgen.

(File name is: "spl-backup.bin") and creates a file called "check.bin" in the subdirectory "1"
(Used for diagnostic purposes)
4th The phone will automatically restart.
5th you can now any cooked or original ROMs, splash screen or radio ROM's flashing.
6th Use the attached Custom RUU (ROM) Flasher to ROMs or flash ROM components
PS: In my ROM's is the Custom RUU it. Simply run ROMUpdateUtility.exe "and follow the instructions.

1. Bitte nicht vergessen deinen text zusätzlich ins Englische zu übersetzen. Das ist hier ein internationales Forum
2. Prinzipiell kannst du eigentlich ohne Probleme flashen, du solltest aber bedenken, dass du im Garantiefall dein t-mobile branding und die original spl wieder auf dein Gerät aufspielen musst. Ansonsten kann (muss aber nicht) dir T-Mobile den Garantieanspruch verwehren.
3. Einige oder am Anfang eig alle self cooked Roms haben am Anfang noch Bugs (siehe z.B. Chriss Light Rom; trotzdem ein tolles Rom), wenn du damit keine Probleme hast viel Spaß beim flashen und rumprobieren ist mittlerweile fast ein Hobby von mir
Ansonsten Flash erstmal ein original HTC Rom ohne Branding. Bei www.pocketpc.ch gibt es im Forum unter Touch 2 ein Thread mit downloadlinks für die offiziellen Roms.

You must rooted it and install MoreLocale2 from Play Store.
My Le max 2 come tomorrow, from Honorbuy. Honorbuy say the new Firmware is multilingual with german. See the Pictures of the Homepage from Honorbuy.

There has always been a multilanguage "international " ROM but its not official. There is a new 14s update on 26th May. As far as I can tell its update for fingerprint. I have just flashed it and fingerprint scanner is much better

I dont have a link for international ROM. It came on my phone but I didnt use it and flashed the official 14S rom ASAP.

This link is for latest official Rom release. It only has Chinese and english language which is 1 language more than I know anyway. But be warned it did break my TWRP as reported by others
here. I know there is an updated TWRP an hope someone can share soon.

Hi,
Did you get an automatic update notification? I cannot even find the system update app found on other LeTV devices on my LeTV Le2 Max. Is it possible to search updates in some way? Or will it just be pushed out, and cannot be searched manually.
I have som bugs on 13s. The Battery Assistant do not work. Settings closes down when clicking on it. Does it work in 14s? Or maybe it is just me with that problem?

My phone came with international Rom. I flashed the 103s version of 14S. There is an system update link under settings but my system was uptodate everytime I tried. I found an update online on 26th and I ve now flashed that. There was a significant improvement to fingerprint scanner. I havent tried the battery assistant but my phone charges in about one and half hours and battery life is good so i havent bothered. Battery gives usual info and doesnt close at any point but I dont see battery assistant, just power saving.....sorry

Thanks for your reply! Then in international ROM there are no system update visible I guess. Good to hear 14s works fine for you!
This battery assisant is inside the power management menu at same level as "ultra standby mode" or something like that.
So updating to 14s should be no problem except for english language. Then to add swedish keyboard I guess for me.
The language are half english and half swedish anyway in the international rom. Seems like there are some differences other than language in the international rom then though. You have not seen any differences concerning the network? Band 20 for LTE is crucial over here in Sweden and works out good on 13s international.
I think you are more likely to get full coverage on 14S than on international. I think the international is just cobled to please international customers. There are alot of more adjustments you can make also like defaults ,permissions, notifications etc as well as freezing some system chinese apps. As regards updating see other threads on Gaaps and TWRP but all sorted easily. Someone here said there is a locale app that makes transition to your language easy. The boot up now has a couple of lines of Chinese but thats it . Great phone !.Good luck

Hi, ich denke auch darüber nach mir das Le Max 2 nach deutschland zu holen. Wir sind denn eure Erfahrungen bisher ? Wie ist die LTE Qualität ? In nem anderen Posting ist von öfteren unterbrechungen bei der LTE Verbindung die Rede.
Auch würde mich sehr interessieren wie die GPS / Kompass Qualität ist. Wegen dem schlechten GPS habe ich mein Zenfone 2 entsorgt.
Und zu guter letzte speziell an @erwin7 , wie ist das mit Honorbuy gelaufen ? Hast du von EU Lager bestellt ?

I can share my experience with Honorbuy, and it was exceptional when sent from EU Warehouse. Got the phone in 2 days. After sale support though I don't know.
But delivery was flawless. Have not hade the time to investigate in detail the other questions but band 20 works over here in Sweden for LTE.

Habe bei honorbuy dienstags bestellt. Donnerstags war Feiertag und Freitag war es schon da. Habe einen EU Adapter bekommen und alles andere war auch Top. Sendungsverfolgung und guter Support!

Das Handy ist Spitze!!! Ich habe keinerlei Probleme. Habe auch schon gelesen bei manchen bricht das internet oder Telefonate ab. Bei mir bisher nicht ein einziges Anzeichen davon. War erst auf der Standardrom, Dann auf der neueren die hier gepostet wurde, dann sogar ein Update in der neugeflashten rom gemacht. Alles super. Meine Google Apps funktionieren und durch mein gekauftes Titanium Backup und root habe ich jegliche China Software "entsorgt".
Das einzige Manko: Ich kann das Handy nicht mit meiner Auto Freisprechanlage verbinden. Sobald gepaart, bricht die Verbindung auch wieder ab. Ging bis jetzt mit jedem Gerät. Ansonsten funktioniert Bluetooth zum schicken von Dateien wunderbar, habe ps4 Controller über Bluetooth dran zum zocken, ohne jegliche Verzögerung. USB on the go funktioniert sogar mit meiner 2,5" externen Festplatte. Der Fingerabdruck Scanner funktioniert manchmal erst beim 3-5. Mal, jedoch kann das auch an mir liegen, da wir eine Katze haben und oft feine Häärchen darauf liegen, da die mitgelieferte Silikonhülle nur da und an der Kamera offen ist.
Viele Leute sagen, es funktioniert nur einer der scheinbaren "stereolautsprecher" unten am Gerät. Ist aber quatsch. Die Linke Reihe ist für Ton, die rechte Mikrofon.
Musik hören über den mitgelieferten Adapter ist auch kein Problem, aufladen geht relativ zügig (Hatte vorher ein Oppo mit Vooc Charging. Würde fast behaupten TypeC ist minimal schneller)
USB Verbindung ist mega schnell, habe über nen PC mit 3.0 Anschluss eine 2gb Datei rauf geschoben. Was soll ich sagen. USB 3.0 eben
Ich nutze das Handy wirklich regelmäßig und bin sehr aktiv jeden Tag. Bisher hatte ich keinerlei Mängel feststellen können. Du kannst mir gerne auch noch weitere Fragen privat stellen.
Ubrigens habe ich die 4gb RAM Version mit 32gb Speicher. War zwar nicht mein Wunsch, aber ich braucht zu dem Zeitpunkt schnell ein neues Handy. Auch gegen die Farbe rosegold habe ich nichts einzuwenden. Hatte Angst, es sieht sehr pink aus, sieht aber einfach nur sehr edel aus.

Danke darauf komme ich gerne zurück. Wie viel von den 4GB Ram sind denn für apps frei, wenn der Anwendungsverlauf geleert wurde ?
Und wie ist es um das GPS und den Kompass bestellt ? Das sind meine beiden Prioritäten, da ich das Handy auch als Navi nutzen werde. Bleibt die Positionsanzeige stabil ? Hat man schnell einen GPS Fix ? Und wie genau ist die Positionsanzeige ? Dreht sich der Kompass ständig oder stimmt die Richtungsangabe ? Hey, an sich sind wenn ich alle Apps geschlossen habe (Nova launcher aktiv) genau 2GB RAM verfügbar, laut multitasking Anzeige des EUI.
Die App habe ich ausgeführt, hoffe dieser Screenshot bringt dir was.

Würde mehr bringen, wenn du das GPS auch aktivieren würdest Am besten auf GPS / Gerät Only, aber Hohe Genauigkeit geht auch.

Hab ich jetzt ausprobiert, sorry hab das GPS sonstimmer aus.
Die App scheint meine Position überhaupt nicht zu erkennen. Komisch. Ich mach mal Maps auf.
