wmp and htc album broken after tcpmp install - Touch Pro CDMA

after installing tcpmp my wmp and htc album will not play vids. even after uninstalling tcpmp (which worked fine and i'd want to keep) my wmp and htc album still will not play vids. i downloaded the htc videopatch.cab which i heard takes care of this but it will not install. i read somewhere that you need manilla unchecked in the today settings but i do have that unchecked and my phone was soft reset afterwords and the install didn't work. i really don't wanna hard reset. can someone help me plz, i can't find an answer anywhere

sorry to bump this but i really would like to kno if anyone has a solution or something to try out. i've searched everywhere and can't understand why there isn't more on this because i am not the first to install tcpmp.

windows media player download
Since nobody seems to know how to correct the issue that I am having then is there someone out there that has the install file for Windows Media Player? Like the original .cab or one from a cooked ROM I can use? I really do not want to go through a hard reset. Anybody, please???

PRoblem with Audio Manager
I have installed but run partial because i dont see the bottom bar and i have an error "Load RC fail"
Help me...
Thanks
Is it just me or doesn't this program sort the music on the albums correctly. Seems like it just does alphabetical and not by real album track order as WMP does.
I'd use it all the time if it weren't for that. Is there a way around that? I don't see anyway to set it up sorting wise.
Woo got this running on my samsung blackjack aka i600. Its the one thing i missed from my SPV E650. Changed to the blackjack because the screen kept breaking on the SPV gutted as it was an awesome lil phone.

Yep, I confirm, and it is a reason for me to use WMP.
Is everyones' font on main streen of HTC audio manager (artist, title etc...) so small? I run it on QVGA screen and it is really tiny - like 8 px :/
Any solutions please?
Anyone figure out a registry entry or something to adjust the font on the Audio Manager? I need it like 12 or 14 point... anyone?

I've been using TCPMP, a very neat player with lots of plugins for both audio and video playback, works wonderfully, has many options (I mean many!), even a benchmark , in a few words I love it!
You should give it a try, and with the plug ins you can get flv playback, mp4 playback and whoever knows what may come out soon
Used in combination with Pocket DivX encoder works like a charm with my lobby, the only weak point is when you try to play WMV files intended for PC, the WMP has a bit more power, but who said one program eliminates the other
Is there an updated version of the Audio Manager?
There's some bugs in version 1.0, such as sorting by trackname vs track #
HE-AAC playback doesn't seem to work properly, SBR is not decoded, sounds dull
I've contacted HTC but they weren't be able to help much, gotten no responce after sending them a sample file...
Most recent version i've seen on the forums version 1.02 build 1017.717 should have the fix to sort by track #

I heard you can use the Audio Manager to make ringtones is there already a thread on here for it.. just wondering if anyone knows how to make ringtones with it
just select Set as ringtone in Menu and then select Trim. This is where you can crop the song and save it as the ringtone
thanks for this! working on i780

I just recently changed my ATT tilt with the windows 6.0 version to the 6.1 version. I want to download the HTC Audio Manager so I can manage my ring-tones. However, I downloaded the link that was provided by rickwyatt and run it to my laptop but could not find the setup to install it on my laptop to transfer it to my phone. I tried also to copy the audio-zip link and paste it to my storage card while my phone was syncing but it didn't work. Can some one tell me how to or get the HTC manager so I can transfer it to my phone and what are the protocols. Thanks,

wmp link plz

could some one be kind enough to give me a link to latest wmp cab not oem. I found 7.1 on the web but it wouldnt install.
Thanks in advance
.... why you want wmp 7.1? -.-

no u misunderstood, i dont have wmp on rom so i want newest one, cab, but I couldnt find newer than 7.1
search on google... there is a lot of that info
i've searched without success. Can someone generate a cab installation for me. with the reg.
It would be better if you use the great TCPMP (it's Freeware)!
i actually prefer audio manager for songs cuz arranges automatically into albums, artists.....
Audio manager is easier to find. And a search on this site will give you a cab.

i want to install wmp so i can play music on audio manager. The rom im using doent have wmp so it cant play songs in audio manager it just skips thru them all.
I think it may be faster to get a different ROM. There are a lot of files required for WMP (codecs, player, library, coverart etc.) and to work out where they should go, and to put them in a cab would take a lot more time than simply flashing to a ROM with WMP.

Thanks

Just bought a dual touch and loving it.. but.....

Hi,
new to the site, and i gotta say that this is by far the best site for tips and tricks for the htc...
to the question, i´ve searched the site and found many answers to the question, but since this is my first day with an wm6 mobile i need my answer to be fitted to a noob like myself =)
How do i get my mp4 video files not to lag on media player? could someone link to a codec pack that works and give detailes instruction on where to put the codecs on the phone exactly... etc...
thanks..
Charlie
try to open them in TCMCP v8.1 (freeware) or COREPLAYER (shareware)...
Hi!
Thanks for answering...
Just drop the codec files straight in the TCMCP player folder in my dual touch?
Do they need to be in a folder or just drop them straight there?
You whould´nt by any chance have a link to working codecs?
Thanks again...
they just need to be on the same folder as tcmcp, here is some reading material:
http://www.modaco.com/content/htc-k...4597/is-there-an-mp4-codec-for-tcpmp-0-72rc1/
yo,
i´ve given up i get sound but no picture... isnt there a easy media player codec like there is for example windows xp that you just install for the pocket media player?
in anyway, thanks for taking the time!
There's no easy fix - either TCPMP, or Coreplayer are basically the two options.
thanks for your help... but i found a cab file called "Master codec pack 2" to the TCPMP on another forum and it works perfect now... i highly reccomend that codec pack to everyone!
thanks för your help!

[Q] can we record the songs in radio ??

I want to record songs or programs that are played on radio sometime can I do that with the help of some apps or is there any other way to do it ?? Any help is appreciated
I forgot to mention my device is HTC wildfire/buzz with Froyo 2.2
As far as I know, I'm pretty sure it is not.
You can also just memorize the lyrics and download the song later :S.
I use soundhound to recognize the song..then download it thru tunee..btw both are integrated..so works like magic..
