They've added a section for the 8125/HTC Wizard!! FINALLY!
All they have at the moment is a swivel clip holster, but hopefully they'll have their windshield mounted cradles too, that's what i really want..

sweeeet... ive been looking for one of these for forever. i hate those leather cases that add bulk to the device, this just sits snugly holding your phone or on your waist. nice that it protects the screen too, just how i wanted it.
thanks!!
One issue
Let me know if you get one. I know the Verizon version of the wizard came with a holster like this one. Problem is, whenever I took it out of the holster the clip on top brushed against the MiniSD and it popped out like toast from a toaster. Hopefully this wont happen with this one.
Phillyjaq
I have one that I posted pictures of over at howardforums.com. It works fine. I havent had the "toaster" situation happen yet.
I just purchased this case. I was looking for a case that:
- was as thin as possible because the phone is already pretty thick
- was easy to access since the OEM case is so clunky
- had a flexible belt clip, i.e., opens and swivels. I found the static clip on the OEM case difficult to attach
- protected the screen from bumps and scratches
Here are the pluses:
+ clean, simple design
+ sturdy plastic with an excellent belt clip design. The clip is large and easy to use. It's built with a sturdy metal spring and can pivot. The pivot gives a nice solid click when it moves and can be adjusted vertically, horizontally or a couple of clicks in between.
+ easy to use two-handed. The top clip is spring-loaded and very secure. I have no concern that the phone will pop out of the case.
+ reasonable price $30. I originally wanted a slip case, but some of the leather ones out there were going for $50 bucks. Ouch!
And the minuses (in order of irritation):
- not easy to use one-handed. The problem is the location of the power switch and memory card on the phone. I find it too easy to bump the power switch with the top clip while I'm loading and unloading the phone. This creates some interesting results since it's also easy to hit other buttons on the way to and from the case. Also, I've had the phone glitch because the clip hit the memory card. This is a little scary because I don't want to ruin the card or the slot hardware.
- some flashing on the mold seam on the top clip. This was solved with some sandpaper. Not a big deal, but the flashing was sharp and I kept hitting it as I loaded and unloaded the phone.
Overall, I would rate the case as pretty good but not perfect. If I was less clumsy, maybe it would be a good one-handed case, but two-handed is okay for me. The size is right and the belt clip is great.
Sorry for the potentially silly question, but this should fit the MDA right?
yes mda fits but 30$ is redicilous..wait for them to be on ebay for 4.99 plus 1 penny shipping.. just like the car chargers

Just received mine yesterday from this eBay seller. Yes, it is the Seido brand. This clip is exactly what I was looking for. I was a little concerned about clipping in and out. I guess I missed it in one of the above posts, but the top bracket is hinged, which allows you to hold it up, place the phone in the bottom brackets and let the top bracket down to hold it in. I found it very easy to do one handed after about 5 minutes of playing with it. Very good product.....IMHO
I can't say I've yet mastered the one-handed insert and remove processes. I'm giving it a couple more days before I request a refund. Do you have any hints regarding how you manage to use this holster with just one hand? I also find the top clip regularly hits either the power button, the SD card, or both. Not an optimal design at all.
Thank you.

i had mine for 2 days now and LOVE it! I mastered the one hand in/out simply....
take out - i push the clip away with my index finger and use the rest of the hand to guide/retrieve the phone...
put back in - use my index finger to "hook" the clip and push it back while the rest of the hand slides the phone into the "full seated" position, then put the clip down and just run my hand along the edges fast to make sure everything i in tight....
hope this helps...
I bought the clip too, but it keeps ejecting my memory card!
one time i took it out with out looking and my memory card fell out.
luckly, nothing broke.
i'll need to redesign a few things.
I have a nice dvd slot mount that grabs the sides of the phone with foam covered retractable arms, but the Z Ultra with its power/volume in the center is a little hard to use. I use waze and google navigation a bunch and would be nice to find something that holds this in the car somehow.
Have you guys found any creative solutions?

I am using the infiniapps magnetic mount. It works great! Ofcourse, it depends on if your phone is naked, in a bumper, or in a case. I'm currently using the incipio feather case and have stuck the metal plates to the case itself (not my phone). and It holds really well. With the infiniapps mount, you'll only get one adhesive plate so I bought an additional one as well. See pictures for how I've attached the plates. I'll upload a picture of the phone mounted tomorrow.

So you have to put a plate on front and back of your case?
I don't use a case currently. I'm assuming I could just stick one of these pads to the back of the phone?
Are they really secure going over big bumps and stuff like that?
Yeah I put plates on the case because I didn't want to stick anything to the phone. It would obviously be lighter without a case, and thus hold better if you stuck it to the phone. It's been really secure over bumps and at high speeds. Held perfectly during a 7 hr drive last week.
I am using this one.

It's the only customfit car holder for the Ultra I could find. When in the car I remove my Ultra from the Nillkin case and put it in the holder. I use it for navigation quite a lot and I hate it when the phone is loose in the car holder which is the case with most universal clamp style holders.
I have the InfiniApps Slyde CD Slot Mount also. Best phone mount ever. CD players are usually in the best location for viewing. I had cup, dash mounts, they were terrible. I used the sticky metal plate and attached it to the back of a case. Also magnetic attachment makes for quick removal of the phone when you want to check a message etc...

Hi can you post some pics of it...???
This is the one I got. Worked pretty good until the Z Ultra..

Cool these look good. Just found another one which is cheaper than the others $12.99 + $2.99 delivery. Looks like it does the same thing and will also fit the Z Ultra (checked the dimensions). Link
Is there any risk that the CD slot ones will damage the CD player? Is the slot strong enough to handle the weight of the Xperia Z Ultra?
I've been using PuGoo sticky pads for a good year or two now to mount whatever smartphone I'm using. It's very handy.

Does it stay in place while driving and when hitting potholes or bumps?
It does hold very strong, I just got one of these. I hate cases on my phone but I put one on so I could attach the metal plate to the inside of the case. It has never fallen off on even the biggest bumps.
I am still deciding if I want to just stick the plate to the back of my phone... I wonder how easy it is to get the adhesive off the back glass if I ever wanted to remove it...
Yes is holds really well. Just had a 6hr drive this morning!
Edit: Here is a picture of how it looks while driving.

Just wanted to say that I just bought this:
Scosche stuckUP
Its early to tell but the quality feels solid compared to the many ebay cheapo one that end up breaking in no time.
The whole things just feel quality..and for the price it better! lol
Several ways to use it...I went with Windshield for now. Holds the phone very tightly and during the trip its very stable.
Also, I did not even have to remove the flip case I have which makes it seem a lot bulkier so I feel it will do great with either the CP12 or any of those battery/case combinations.
Happy to finally have my phone up there even if it blocks most of my view! LOL
I have come to the conclusion that a universal mount for a small tablet is the ideal car mount, so I have been looking at ebay for ones designed for the Nexus 7, Memopad 7 and Samsung Tab 7, and then checking that they can be adjusted small enough for the XZU.
this one in particular looks appropriate:
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/160672229905?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1438.l2649
it's a little bit more expensive than I'd expect for a simple product, but I've not seen a similar unit.
The one I bought above works excellent, it is for phones but depends on what you like.
I am very happy with the quality compared to all the crap I bought before lol
I have one of the Imagnet mounts in my F350 I used with another phone. I checked the Z Ultra and it sticks to it without needing the metal plate attached to the back of the phone. Right under the camera area inside the phone is enough metal that the magnet works fine. I have driven with it in that bouncy old truck and it does not come off or move around at all. The only bad thing is the metal is not centered so the phone only sits in portrait orientation. But it beats having to stick a metal plate to the back of the phone.
I like it because I am in and out a lot through the day and it is quick and easy to just toss the phone onto the magnet then just grab it off there when I need it. I have not tried it with a power cable attached but most likely it will just make it tilt over a bit depending on how much the power cable hangs down I guess. With the battery life of this phone it has not been something I have needed compared to the Mega 6.3 that would go dead much quicker streaming slacker radio over bluetooth than this beast of a phone. Most likely the charger cable would have to be supported in some way to keep it from making the phone lean to one side.
Can anybody recommend a car dock that won't require removal of the Spigen cover?
I saw the Mumbi dock which appears to be alright, but I'm not sure it'd work with the cover.

The Arkon Intelligrip. Just got it myself after searching endlessly for something that would hold the phone, without pushing buttons or require an awkward position in the mount (i.e. off-center). Finally found this one that holds the phone by the ends rather than the sides! Perfect. I used an Xacto knife and a Dremmel to create an opening in the Spigen Ultra Clear Hybrid case for the magnetic port and then bought some of the cheap aluminum magnetic cables mentioned in an other post on here. So far, it's working great. The mount comes with long and short arms to accommodate everything from a small to extremely large phone. I used one set of short and one set of long arms and the tension seems perfect. Bonus, there is an NFC sticker built in to the mount so I have my phone set to unlock and launch the Sony Car interface when it goes in the mount! (But I would have done that anyway by just sticking an NFC sticker to whatever mount I ended up getting.) It was also cheap! Like $15!!!
Has anyone tried a magnetic car mount with their nexus 6? Specifically the Mountek nGroove Snap 3 - http://www.amazon.com/Mountek-nGroo...ablets/dp/B00MNXAFQ6/ref=cm_cr_pr_product_top

I just ordered one, should be here Wednesday. I'll be sure to report back!
Yeah just ordered one today also, can't go wrong with the current price. If it doesn't work will just sell/give it away on craigslist/friends.
Tried it with my old magnet mount, it holds ok with a case on holding the metal back plate between the case and the phone. But doesn't hold firm enough for me to chance it with the phone. But then again it's some generic magnet mount, not a mountek.
I just ordered this yesterday after returning the standard CD mount that uses clamps. The clamps were interfering with the buttons way to much, and I didn't like how off centered the weight was when clamping the phone on the bottom portion of the phone. This is definitely a fail in button placement for this application. Hopefully the magnetic mount will be stellar!

That mount looks like a disaster.... I can't post links, but type into amazon "maggrip car mount" and get that one. It's a lot neater
Metal
Not that easy to apply, looks nice. Camera piece to fake for my liking. Feels good, little sharp on the bottom side of edges when holding.
Just tested nGroove 3 with the caseology TPU case and it worked great! Phone locked on and was very secure.
However, I like showing off the nexus logo on the back and don't know if I want to keep the caseology TPU case (using the spigen ultra hybrid currently)... Does anyone have any recommendations on how to place these magnets/plates and show off the nexus logo? I could probably use the Rinke max and put the magents on the both sides of the logo but the case may be too thick.
I was also thinking about sticking some magnets/plates behind the back cover.. does anyone know if there is a warranty seal for the back cover? I looked at the teardown but didn't see anything about the warranty seal.
OP - Just received this mount from Amazon yesterday, and I have to say it's worth it! I have a Nissan Titan and the CD slot is in the perfect spot for a mount like this I also like that the mount doesn't grip the side of the phone and press up against the buttons. I bought it from the Amazon warehouse for $15 and the unit I received looked new. You do have to tighten down the CD slot insert to endure the phone doesn't sag when you place it on the bracket, but once its tight, the phone holds steady and secure on the magnetic steel plate.

Very interested in seeing how this worked. Any updates?
Works great.
I put the large tablet size piece that came with the stand in a case and the magnet does have some flexibility to it so it fits well in the slight curve of a N6 case.
The connection is strong and holds up going through bumps etc.
Worth the buy
I assume that if your using a magnetic holder with a steel plate attached to your phone or case, that you are not using a Qi charger. Wouldn't the steel plate would heat up when using wireless charging? I had some problems with my N5 with overheating if my phone was not in the correct place on my Qi charger, the metal in the phone used to attach the N5 to the official nexus charger would get hot.

I've been trying various magnet mounts and qi chargers hoping to find the right combination of the two. Unfortunately, in order to avoid blocking the qi coil you end up moving the magnet mount further up the back of the phone almost near the bottom of the "M" dimple. Placing a strong magnet near that part of the phone will trigger the screen shutting off "smart cover" style (coming back on again as soon you remove the magnet). I'm beginning to suspect that in order to really get everything (qi, nfc, magnet mount, with the screen on) working together right might require building something a bit more customized.
I personally am also using the mountek snap 3 mount and I have had no issues after affixing the tablet sized metal plate about 2/3 of the way down, ive ordered some extra magnets to improve the hold on the device so i dont have to worry about precisely placing the device on the Mount

For the life of me I can't find the brand name but it expands in the cup holder has a flexible gooseneck and a holder that tilts at different angles. It is adjustable for most phones width. I found it on eBay a long time ago

With my Note 4, I very happily used iMagnet. With my S7, it didn't occur to me that it doesn't go so well aesthetically with a clear-backed case like the Otterbox Symmetry Clear. I'll probably get an inexpensive case to keep and use in the car.
I use the I Magnet mount. Been using it for a few years in a few different vehicles. The only time I ever had a phone come off the mount was the day I hit a deer doing 65 and totaled my car. Thankfully the phone wasn't damaged. The biggest downside is if you use the adhesive to stick the metal plate to either your phone or a case then it's more or less not reusable on another phone or case. Glad I saw this thread as I just realized I needed to order more steel plates. These steel plates will interfere with NFC and wireless charging. So I end up either just putting a steel plate loosely between the phone and case and then take it out when I'm done. Another option is to have two cases. Mount a steel plate inside your second case and just switch cases as needed.

That's when you bite the bullet and remove the paper backing covering the adhesive and make it stick in place. To tell you the truth, I've never done that either. I've always used the adhesive thus my need to order more steel plates today.

It would help if you would specify what function would you like it to serve....ie (wireless charging, magnetic, windshield mount, CD mount, vent mount (etc), one handed operation....
I use mine as a phone holder and dash cam. Wireless charging in the car is not important to me right now. Here is the combo that I currently use and it works well...

I use the base from the second link with the actual phone holder from the first link (universal ball joint) and have it suction cupped to to the item in the third link. It sits perfectly on my dash and works very well in my vehicle. It is secure, easy to put the phone in and out of, and provides me with easy access to the phone as well as all of the functions I wanted to accomplish with it.
Of course, you can just keep it simple and use the item in the first link and just suction cup it to the windshield...that's up to your needs and vehicle.
