Hi,
I want to share a recent ear bud purchase on Ebay. I use my Bose Quite Comfort headphones for air travel but have been using them by placing them over my ear buds so I could watch movies or listen to music on my Wizard. I recently purchase a set of ear buds from an Ebay seller, bpdqus. It is a two piece unit so you can toss the ear buds and just use the adapter for your 3.5 headphones. No, microphone but you will hear stereo unlike other units that only give you left or right I've tried a lot of adapters and this one works great.
Hope that helps someone out there. Mike.
I bought a 2.5 to 3.5 converter for $1-odd and can pretty much use whatever handsfree or a set of earphones I might desire. Although I prefer to use bluetooth and send my music over.

Judging by the price, no.
Everyone is correct that you don't want one that ties you down to some bunk ear buds.
If you don't want to carry around the clunky 3-in-1 you can get one that is just for headphones at various places. Boxwave.com has one for $13 that I have.
With mine the volume controls in media player or HTC Audio don't really work. 100% is LOUDer than h3ll and 1% is still really loud. TCPMP volume controls work correctly.
Because of that problem I bought an iTech R35 off ebay for around $45. It is a tiny bluetooth device that has a headphones jack, volume controls, pause, forward and back buttons and works 100% perfectly with the 8525. I have my 8525 in my pocket or gym bag and my r35 clipped to my pocket. I highly recomend it. The only time I have had any skipping was when I was trying to browse the web, listen to music, and use AIM all at the same time.
Thanks for reply
I 'm cheking that iTech R35 on ebay now, it's on good price.
But there is a big decrease of battery using it to listent music?
Or is not too different from a connect it direct with one of those adaptors?
I might go for one fo them. because it can be use as well for answer calls.
Thanks ^_^

just get some AD2P headphones, the ones i got were cheaper than the handsfree that i would have bought from Imate anyway and they sound better (motorola HT820s), plus that silly cord doesnt get in the way .... and during winter months my ears are warmer LOL had to throw that last bit in.
Hi, I want to buy new "Good" headphones for my touch HD, maximum 150~200$
I looked at:
Re2,ER6i,q-jays,NuForce NE7M
what IEM's better for touch HD ?
and what you have headphones ?
wow for that price you can get something like theese http://www.ultimateears.com/_ultimateears/products/metrofi/index.php
I personally have DENON AH-C351 in ear headphones for about 60$ (In Latvia)-- theyre really good, But our Touch HD can never use the full potential of them-- just try your headphones with Touch HD and the try them with your PC - youll notice the difference- especially with low frequencies!!
Good Luck on the earphone hunt!!
oh BTW for about 200$ you can ger bluetooth in ear headphones (saw nokia ones some time back)
Ue very good but too expensive for that quality.
I not only use with touch HD so i type 150-200$ for good IEM's
if i want use headphones only with touch HD, them max 50-100$
I hate wireless headphones (often load battery, and poor quality)
well- creative had some good headphones-- dont know which one of them though!!
and you can check brands like sony(they make good headphones)
just go to your local electronics shop and take the best heaphones from it!!
Klipsch custom one for me.

I'm using Sennheiser MM50, which is actually for iPhone 3G, black version earphones, but anyhow the 4C rings match of HTC Touch HD's 3.5mm jack so that you can use its mic and button to receive calls and the sound quality is really nice. I totally recommend it if you like tube (or whatever it is called) style earhphones...
I know this is a "little" over your budget but try to consider a pair of costum moulded in ear monitors like the livewires - http://www.mylivewires.com/ -
I have had mine for a couple of month and it is like somebody stole all my music and replaced it with better quality music. There is a world in difference. I used a set of SHURE in ear before (not chep either) and the difference is mind blowing.
You can replace the cords and keep the moulds so this is more like a long investment.
Worth every penny...

I'm using the Sennheiser CX-500. I really like them, except for the fact that they don't have a mic.
I got the AKG In-Ear headphones, they have a very good quality...
get JH13, UE11pro, Westone ES3x or ACS T1.
I bought Jays d-jays and they're absolutely stunning very good value for the money, the only downside is they could have a bit more bass.
I'm using the Sennheiser CX-400 II, I am more than happy with them.
If you are sound maniac and enjoy to listen music i can recomend you Sony MDR-EX90LP Stereo Earphones.
I use this with my Touch HD and the sound is crystal and cool
also befor they was expensive now you can find them cheeper and save some money
So is this the only in-Ear With mic that works with the Touch HD?

I really rate sennheiser headphones. I currently use CX300 II in ears for my touch HD. Not too bad at £40, and great full range sound.

No.. shure se110 too have mic control. the mic can be detech so I can use with other earphones with 3.5mm jack.
spend that extra on quality..!
I've been DJing for years, and good headphones are a must. As far as inner ear headphones, sennheiser are pretty good price for the quality they are, I prefer the sport line, where the right or left hand side wire is longer so you can route behind neck and not be in the road at the gym. You can go crazy and spend the extra on the IE line eg. IE6,IE7,IE8. there all noise cancelling ones and are claimed by sennheiser to be good enough for studio monitoring, though you'll be paying extra for them. Just what ever you do, avoid buying them off ebay. Alot of, what appears to be really good sennheiser knockoffs, or factory seconds. I'm an avid ebayer and the set I bought you may as well chuck in the bin, the seller was in my country, Australia..., though he had chinese name when replyed via email.
I bought these from Ebay and I have to say for the money they are pretty darn good.
earbuds
I've been using UE's superfi 5pro's for the past 18 months or so - awesome sound/never experienced anything like this before - although a bit too sensitive - picks up background hiss between tracks that is lost when music starts - still awesome sound using tcpmp and SRS_WOW_HD 121 if you can get over this intertrack hiss.
Otherwise have been very impressed with my wife's sennheiser cx 300-II's - came a bit close to UE sound quality/bass - when you get them in your ear properly - and you can pick them up on amazon now for less than £20.
PS - fwiw - my UE's have been through a hot cycle in the washing machine with no apparent adverse effects after a thorough drying..... so they're quite robust
Amazing....!
Yeh, isn't it amazing. My sennheiser cx 400's had been through the washer and dryer twice and still kept the sound comin strong, the sound was a bit muddy for the first day or so, though were soon back to normal, I've had a few USB sticks that have done the same as well
Quick question for you gurus out there ...
Is there any reason that the ZAGG Z Buds wouldn't work with the Hero? I want all of the features that they have for my Hero, but can't find anything decent.
I asked their customer service, but they seemed clueless.
The jack
I guess that the 3.5mm jack sported by the Z Buds is iPhone-specific, since it has four contacts instead of the three you'll find in a standard headphone jack.
These non-standard jacks do work with 95% of standard connectors, but that 5% is always around the corner...

i doubt it because the standard hero earphones also had 4 connections
I am not familiar with Z buds, but if you're looking for an upgrade for your earphones:
I have just bought the V-moda Vibe Duo (iPhone), and they are absolutely great (if you enjoy a rich bass). Especially for a 30 euro pricetag (Ebay).
Microphone works perfect, button to answer or control music-player (MixZing) works perfect.
And derived from this positive experience, I guess that every iPhone designed earbud will also work perfectly on the HTC Hero.
Happy shopping ;-)
I'm looking for better quality headphones for the HD. I see Sennheiser make a set with a mic and button for the iPod, that appears to have the same banded 3.5mm jack as the HD, bit I'm not sure if it is the same configuration as the HD.
I really want to make and take calls, but I need better music quality than the branded set that ship with it.
Anyone used anything else?
Sennheiser MM50iP Headset
I have been using the Sennheiser MM50iP Headset for months now and would recommend it - it works fine with the Touch HD although it does not control the HTC Audio Manager in any way, only the 'phone. I have made one minor 'modification' to them, taking the foam buds from a set of JVC Marshmallow 'phones and replacing the silicon ones which come with the Sennheisers. Makes for a better fit in my ears and keeps out a bit more ambient noise.
you should post this in the accessories section of the forum and not here. Also, this thread already exists there so your question is answered there.
I use Sony MDR-EX 90 LP with my Blackstone and the sound is AMAZING im feeling like im in the club
On a slight side note..
My original headset broke, and I was looking for a headset with a mic...
However I ended up buying a pair of Sennheiser HD228's..which don't have a mic, but the sound quality is literally amazing..atleast much much better than anything I expected out of my phone..definitely worth the purchase. They're available on amazon (I'm from the UK, i'm unsure of the availability of this model in different countries.)
I'm thinking of pairing it up with a decent 3.5mm adapted with microphone..i'll let you know my views after the jump
It's worth noting also that these are possibly the most comfortable pair of headphones i've ever used (I've been through a fair few different kinds: Etymotic ER6i's, clip on panasonics, in ear CX300's, in ear sony fontopias, Sennheiser HD205's). They've also impressed me the most..although i've only had them for a day lol.
I'm hoping this helps anyone looking for a better pair of headphones to use with the HTC Touch HD
Guys don`t think for the Blackston Music Player like is a odrinary Player befor a year i change almost 10 diferent headphones just to enjoy the music and i need to tell you that the Blackstone have just amazing Music Player quality and if you buy some really cool earphones or headphones you can feel like you are in the club belive me

Looking for suggestions of ear plugs / headphone to use with our S7's ? Microphone is not needed but just a way to silently listen to a program without speakers
DAC supported type C Headphone / 3.5 mm Dongle ? Or wireless via Bluetooth ?
Are all these dongle adapters compatible, like this one :

I use the new ear buds live. Not the cheapest one, but good enough to make my son a gift with the BT Dr.Beast BT earset.
The beans are sitting nice and fixed in the ear. In this moment the best BT which I have had.
Thank you. So these are the best for tablet ? https://www.amazon.com/Samsung-Galaxy-Wireless-Earbuds-Cancelling/dp/B08FT3ZMF3/
I've purchased these for headphones.
And I also purchased this if I want to use my older 3.5mm headphones.
Great. Thank you. Will order several of the suggestions.
I'm currently using Samsung Buds+ with both My S20+ & Tab S7+ which work great. ???

I couldn't say, that's the best one's for the tablet, but there are not bad....I can only make a compare with Dr Beat. On the tablet the ear buds live are better. Use the ear buds on a sony mobile, I received broken connection. Here the Dr.Beast are better. From sound the ear buds are better..but the Dr.Beast are louder without jitter, clipping ....
I've had these for a year and a half now and I love them. I use them with my phone and my Tab S7+.

Get this one. It is also DAC. Yes it is apple, but it works on the tablet.

If using bt go with the Buds+ or higher to take advantage of the SCC codec.
Or use a headset that supports LDAC.
For music listening though I heavily custom alter their sound profile with Poweramp's graphic equalizer.
