it says under battery info 4105mv does that mean anything?

That is the battery voltage. The voltage lowers as the battery energy is used. It is just an indicator of how much juice you have left in the battery. At 4.105 volts, you must have a battery that is close to fully charged. The only way I know of to test actual capacity of the battery is by monitoring the charging time, or monitoring how long it takes to completely drain. The larger the battery, the longer it will take to do both (typically). If you want to know the exact capacity, you will need to drain the battery at a constant current and monitor the time it takes to discharge, thus giving you the mAh (current * hours) of the battery.

I wonder if it's the same battery I picked up. I didn't get mine from ebay though, so I think I paid nearly $30 in total.
I can't tell the difference between the two batteries. I just swap them once a day and go about my business.

I have this battery and a white battery cover to match and it last all day everyday no matter what i do with my phone. I stream 3g internet radio while driving and have hello im, peeps, and bloo running pretty much constantly.
As for the thickness.. it's really much better to use the keyboard with the new battery cover for me. It's definitely thicker in the pocket, but I'm always doing something on my phone like twitter, facebook, or aim so I battery life > looks. I actually like the way it looks with all white.

Did you notice a significant improvement over the stock battery?

I would like to know if you noticed a improvement with the 1700 battery as well

Just purchased one of these from the same guy. Crossing my fingers i get a 1700mah. If i do, ill test and find out about battery life.

please let me know when you receive your battery whether its 1700mah or 1250mah like it says. I'd really love to order one and have it be 1700mah, haha =) just hoping for confirmation

Hi guys, I just picked up a used G1 and have been researching eBay.co.uk's batteries. Ignoring the weakest one and finding the best price for each same type, I found these:
1200 mAH £3.80 "z388" (only $3.96 on ebay.com, so I ordered one, since it's only a £2.40)
-- larger--
2300 mAH £8.00 "z411" ugly bulged cover.
2300 mAH £8.95 ugly bulged cover and say 2200 on the battery.
2300 mAH £8.98 flat extended cover, battery says "2400mAH"
2850 mAH £10.99 flat cover.
I ignored the 1700 one. since the write-up says different. I don't want the bulge on the cover because it looks stupid, probably going to get the 2850 if it's a genuine figure. I think the eBay.com prices are about the same for the others (they all come from HK anyway). But a standard sized 1700 would be sweet if it were real.

Extended battery for G1

I've looked through a bunch of the postings on replacement batteries for the G1 and recently came across the following on Ebay:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dl...0195414&_trkparms=tab=Watching#ht_1867wt_1044
The ad looked a little suspect, because the description says 2300mAH, but the picture shows a battery with 2200 mAH. I emailed the seller, and they told me that the both the pictures AND the description were inaccurate and batteries they had were actually rated 2400mAH.
Wondering if anyone has had experience with this particular seller or this kind of battery. Seems like they're having a sale currently until Monday, for the battery + door for only $9.52 which seems insanely cheap.
The Yoobao brand battery which was reviewed here is 2x as expensive:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=522146&highlight=battery
So I figure I might take a chance with it. Any thoughts / advice would be appreciated.
The shell looks way to goofy with the battery hump. I would get one with a full case, the only drawback is the speaker has more air to move through and the valume is a little quieter.
Yeah the cover put me off that one, although the sale price is nice. I suppose with that cover it would fit in a dock though.
I just got this one a couple of days ago: http://cgi.ebay.com/HTC-G1-T-MOBILE...s?hash=item4ceabd1c59&_trksid=p3286.m63.l1177 First impressions weren't too good, the battery meter when charging goes up in jumps and then stays on 99% for some time, it then died overnight despite being on 30%. Second day however after 11 hours off charge and used heavilly it still claimed 50%. I might do a mini-review of it when I have had a few more days to judge it.
I ordered two batteries off of eBay one was a 2400 MAH battery which changed the phones form factor because of the added thickness and necessary change to a bigger battery door. It made my G1 so fat I chose not to use it. Then I found a deal on eBay with a battery with 1600 mah for 9.99... i have about a week with it and cannot complain. if you guys are interested in the merchant let me know and ill post his info or PM me

So, does the 1600mAH Andida brand spare battery from ebay seem to last a lot longer than the stock battery?
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=350242308920&ssPageName=ADME:B:EOIBSA:GB:1123
I read a review from someone about a 1700mAH battery from Ebay that was the same size as stock but didn't actually last any longer during the day.
http://cgi.ebay.com/Q638-High-Capac...ries?hash=item4a9a076896&_trksid=p3911.c0.m14 is the one I bought off ebay. I have been very pleased with it. I can easily get over a full day with gps, wifi and 3g turned on as well as the screen brightness set at 50% and surfin the net all day. You also don't have that goofy hump back. The only draw back is the wait time to get things from China, but overall well worth it.
idk about that seller but i got the 2400mah and its amazing. and for the loss in sound quality just use my fix......super glue a cut down pen cap to the extended battery cover by the holes for sound. and obviously cut it down to size and the thingie off the side off so it can fit properly in the phone and the sound will just travel straight from the speaker to your eyes cuz you dojnt have all that space to muffle it anymore.
sorry if my description was bland. it should be simople enough

(Sorry if it's blurry, I used the camera on the G1)
Calibrating it right now and it's taking longer to charge compared to my OEM battery so it might be legit. I'm disappointed that it didn't come with any packaging though except for the bubble wrap. I was expecting the packaging in the pics with the plastic box. Comes with a nice little Andida holographic sticker in the back though lol. I'll test it out later today after it's charged for 4-5 hours.
yup... thats exactly the same one I purchased... enjoy! It is a moderate increase... but it doesn't seem substantial... but it was worth the 10 bucks.

Hey that's not too bad, don't forget Lithium are always degrading so your old one will have been better.
What's a "day" and "moderate" usage though?
I'd consider my last days usage "light", no calls, an hour of open sudoku, couple of emails read, couple of apps updated, couple of dozen+ webpages (a lot were just google though, some xda postings), 20 mins music, about 20-30 mins games (just normal, no emulators) and a bit of random tooling about.
I have the 2850mAh, normally I have been getting down to 30-60% after a 17/18 hour day. After this lighter usage I am at 62% after 29h31m with the screen on 2h45m (wifi is always on).

Chichitec Slim extended battery

I havent heard of the company before so i decided to check em out. They made one for the OG Evo and they have 196 reviews, and a crap ton of 5 star reviews. I've always purchased Seidio or Platinum(same person), but i might try this one instead. They have them on their website for 19.99 and free 2-5 day shipping. For anyone who wants a lil extra battery life for cheap.
http://www.htcexpress.com/htc-battery/45-htc-evo-3d-battery-1930mah-battery-dock-usb-charger.html
this is interesting, i will keep an eye on it. I was hoping a company would be able to make a 2000mAh battery that fits OEM, but hey, this 1930mAh is closer and only for 20 bucks? I know where my first 20 from payday is goin
EDIT: Damn, looks like the battery says 1900, unlike the item title sayin 1930... oh well, still decent for 20. I don't like the cheapy ones from ebay, i've bought a 2x set and only one battery would hold a good charge.

might want to get it on amazon

oops noticed something else, the voltage on the chichitec e3d battery is 3.7 but the stock battery is 3.8... that's a deal breaker for me, shouldn't be mixing and matching voltages, who knows how that will affect the device and whether the manufacturer built the phone to properly adjust for a variance in voltage:

not a worry for me
Yea i went ahead and bought it from Amazon since i have a Prime Account. Ima try out the batt and see what i see. If as is well cool, if not then ill return it.
I went ahead and bought it from the Chichitec website, but only because I could use Google Checkout which makes me feel a little safer than just putting my Credit Card # on the site. Shipping is Free also.
Yea i get free 2-day shipping from Prime. But i would've liked to spend 5 bucks less. Oh well. I guess 2-day and 5 bucks more is just as good as 2-5day shipping and 5 bucks less. Oh well More battery life for me...lol
i just hesitate because 1900 mAh is 170 more than stock.. about a 9-10% increase for $20 if it is made equal to OEM quality?

I'm really curious about this one.
I wouldn't mind trying it just because we don't have NFC baked into our batteries.
Although I'm not sure how it will do vs. the OEM one
consider this is near the price of a single official battery, i think this is worth a shot!
Does this require a new battery cover? If not I might pick it up.
WOW... only 2800mah x 2 pcs + charger, It's a very good deal WOW WOW WOW

From what we can tell, yes. Just higher capacity w/ the same size.
One nice thing about this is that we get to keep our NFC while boosting the battery
Has anyone got this yet and tested it? It's very tempting... although my note's battery life is better than my skyrocket...
I highly doubt it actually has a higher capacity than the OEM battery. All of the aftermarket batteries I've tried, even though claiming to have higher capacities than OEM (2900mAh), have only been ~65-75% of OEM. They seem to have no problem lying. So the best deal so far seems to be the $3 batteries on ebay.
definitely report back with some results. I would love to know if they are atleast as good as OEM although I am always really skeptical about after market batteries as I have yet to find any that work as they claim....
I would love it if a 3000mAh could fit stock.
i would agree IF it really pans out to be a 3000MAh battery however if history dictates anything... it wont...
QCell has some good reviews on Amazon. And you also get a battery charger. I think it would be worth it

Lying???? That is a terrible thing to say. Everyone knows you can get batteries for 1/4 the price and they are just as good...especially pin Ebay!
Stick with OEM on batteries for better performance. I found out the hard way a few times.

OEM are good no doubt but definitely not the best bang for the bucks. Consider price of one oem is 4 of these. Even if they are of 80% capacity of oem, it is still much more than original capacity combined
ran some tests for a week and these are faring very well. In fact with these two batteries I don't need to use my OEM ones anymore. Both batteries last as long as the OEM batteries I have. With these two, I can go out for a full day without worry of no power This is quite good of an investment for my i717 juice sucker.
Wonder when the extended battery for this is out. Will be interesting to have just one battery and that's it

its a rebranded seido (3400mah). its double the life for cheap. they used to sell this in retail at best buy. bought mine a week ago, it was 6.99 then.
its basically the 4000mah battery with less mah. but for way cheaper.
cowboom is great but if you have doubts you can google or ebay the model number HDB21SB its usually under 20 bucks.

spaceosc,
Just curious. Will this fit in the OEM HTC EVO 3D dock?
Thanks

Given the little flap in the back of the dock i see no way that it could.
the battery nearly doubles the thickness of the 3d for 90 percent of the length.
the battery its self is basically two stock batteries stacked together.
I have both the 4000 and 3500. The 4000 is my primary and 3500 the secondary. They're both excellent. You just have to reboot it a couple of times to get a full charge. It can't be helped.

oohaylima,
Do you recommend any specific brand?
I have the Anker 1900. Stock battery size and was cheap! About £8-9.
I do see an improvement in battery life so it's a good buy in my opinion.

The 4000 and 3500 you posted are the ones I have. People say it makes are phone look big, but I just tell them to not hate on me for for not having small hands like they do.
What made me get them? When I was out in the field, I wasn't always near an outlet. There where times when I was away from a power outlet for weeks. It was nice knowing I had the only working phone out there to make calls.

So the Seido Innocell and the 3500 Incredicell from AccessorySwamp.com are quality batteries you're saying. Heard anything about the Laza Zcell? It's 3460, instead of the 3500, and a bit cheaper. I think I've narrowed my choices to the 3 above. Thinking I'll start with the 3500.
Absolutely. Those both have a great track record. As for the last one, that's an odd one for me. Some people say it works, and others no. It's all about where you want to put your money pimpin.
i got the platinum SE (the one on cowboom). it works great, but i dont use it anymore. Battery life is good enough with stock after the first couple days of excitement for my phone wore off. Now i have extra battery left every night when i go to sleep, and so theres no point putting on the bigger heavier battery

And if you guys had the extended batteries, the results would be three times that shown.
The 4000 can also be bundled with a protective case. It's definitely a good investment if you're clumsy, or have rough working environments.

Now that's what I'm talking about.

Put in a new battery, this is what accubattery says

So this is my battery before swapping for a new one:

And this is how it reads now, with an OEM "authentic" replacement for $12
Ripping apart the Axon7 and replacing the battery took about 40 minutes, and is certainly not for the faint of heart. But I think it will yield something good. Unfortunately I didn't take a screenshot of battery usage before I ripped out the old battery. After about a full day I'd have ~15% battery left. Lite usage

well, 1 charge isn't representative of anything. The first time that i tested with accubattery it reported about 3500 mAh even though the screen was off and all. By the 3rd charge it got down to 2400, and it stayed there.
It makes sense, though. Supposedly they can have anything between 2800 and 3600 mAh

True, my battery is now reading a hair over 3000 mAh. Old battery read anywhere between 1800-2200. I definitely have better battery life now.
Bottom speaker grill isn't staying on :crying:
Yeah, accubattery is now hovering around 3050 mAh for battery capacity. A trip to work (45 minutes) and listening to music the entire way, I get down to around 95% battery. Before I would get from 76-82%.
I recommend the upgrade if your battery is sucking.

Superglue it, just put two very little drops on each side, then spread them so that they are not too high (if they do, they might go through the grill holes). If you ever want to take it out just use a knife or something, it comes out easily.

Would superglue come off well with a heat gun?
I'm at about 70% now, starting at 0530 this morning. Usually I'd be around 40-50% by now.

Well I just pry the damn things off whenever i need to. If you glue them closer to the center you can just use a clip on one of the rightmost holes and push it left, and the tip will raise. put your finger there and tug a little, and the superglue will come off.
Of course there are better ways, i just don't care too much about that
New batteries usually need a couple of charge cycles to start showing their real capacity. One of the first instructions is to give a device full charge before first use. Good reason for that.

Just search "axon 7 battery" and it's pretty much every yellow battery that says "OEM" on the listing.
Anyone have an idea of what tape to use to replace the original clear tape holding the speaker together? I'd rather not superglue
Should I buy this one from later 2017:

Just buy regular double sided tape from school materials, works very well for me
to be honest I bought both and will try the "3650" one first. I can't pass up the potential for extra battery....
I believe the yellow one is actually the oem.

The 3650 mAh is fake. I just got it for a few days ago. They actually use oem, clean the zte label, and put a new label sticker around the battery. Not sure on the other 3650 mAh from losoncoer.

Would you mind expanding on this? How did you discover it is fake or that the battery is OEM?

I peel off the sticker out and I saw some label that exactly match up the oem one. There is another guy on the facebook group ordered the same battery and inside it was the oem battery as well.

Thank you very much kind sir!
i bought mine few weeks ago and it's currently at 96%
I have watched the JerryRigsEverything video 100 times over and I'm scared about buying a new battery although it's becoming more of a need as my Accubattery is showing 1500mAh :,( and performance and stutters are everywhere.
being someone who has made tones of PCs before I feel like its very similar in putting the phone back together? I have a few questions.
1. How does it compare with assembling computers (if you have any experience)
2. With the adhesive on the battery and speakers, does the speaker grills and battery sticks back into place or should I result to super gluing the stuff back together?
3. Do I need to take apart the whole phone before taking the battery out? JerryRigs doesn't mention it is required but it seems like it could be an issue but if its quick to just pop it out and a fresh one back in i might stock up on more batteries
