Odd bug this: On stock T-Mobile G2, when I do a google search (using preset google mobile bookmark) I cannot access the second page of results. I also cannot do a new search by entering new text in the search box at either the top or the bottom- I have to go back to the main search page in the bookmarks I have tried this using both the 'next' and several of the numbered page links at the bottom of the page, on wi-fi and 3g, killed the browser with taskiller and restarted, restarted the phone, searched several different terms- all the same. Works fine when switched from 'mobile' to 'classic'.
i had that for a while, but for whatever reason i did a hard reset ( i have downloaded tons of apps and not all of them are compatible with the hero) and since then i have not had it again.
I guess it was one of the apps i had that did it, or just a glitch, but after the reset all is well.

the problem seems to be with google.co.uk, it works fine on google.com
Yeah sometimes I can't even get to the first page of results on google.co.uk. It seems that sometimes, randomly, all of the links just plain stop working. Sometimes I can't press any of the links (images, web, local, page numbers or the search button), sometimes they work.

I rooted the Nook Tablet using adb and NookandZergy, installed the Go Launcher EX, and had no problems until an accidental tick of the "default launcher" box. I know there are several Q and A posts on the subject, but none seem to have my particular problem.
- I seem to have no access to the developer setting or anything outside of the standard Nook settings. I don't see a way to access the developer settings, though when I plug the NT into a usb port, the notification for developer mode does come up.
- I have no "web" access, as in, I have no ability to open a web browser. I believe I may have deleted it when installing the root using one of the DOS options. The same goes for the search function.
- Going through the "library" app, I can see the android system UI files, etc., but nothing that could seem to help. I also can't launch any .apk files. The NT cannot read the file and claims it is an unsupported format.
I know I have tgps_launcher installed, at least I'm 95% certain that I do. I cannot seem to access it, unless I'm unaware of all the ways to do so. I think I've provided all the info surrounding this. If I have to nuke it and reroot, I will, though I would like to avoid that option and am unsure how to do so.
Any help is appreciate. Thanks in advance.
How to switch the default home launcher for HomeCatcher once I've already set it?... This link is in my FAQ >> i would suggest you to read it.

Thanks for the quick reply.
Unfortunately this isn't possible solution, as it requires use of the "search" function. The search function for the NT Home was removed during the rooting process and is unavailable.
For the sake of argument, I tried to look for some sort of search functionality and found nothing. The only option, as I stated before, was to use the "library" app search function. This only displays actual Nook apps, however (Crossword, etc.).

Clever! Unfortunately, that was a no-go too. I went through Nook Friends to get to the google sign-in page, from there I got a mock google.com homepage going and found a download, but none of the ones I tried would work, the psuedo-browser would just crash.
Don't get me wrong, I would love to remove the stock launcher, but my gf actually prefers that interface to the Go Launcher (it's her device, I'm just doing the heavy lifting for her). I think I'm going to cut my losses and do the manual reset from your FAQ. Going with that, are there any launchers that more closely resemble the original Nook Home, or maybe a method of importing some of the icons/functionality of the rooted stuff to the Home? In any case, I'm going to be looking putting AnyCut and/or NT Hidden Settings to have several backups in case this happens again.
Thanks again for your help.

You can use stock launcher and still have an alternative one for when you use it (lets say) and change between them by using homecatcher or another app like home switcher, you may want to go to B&N setting > search> searchable items and check more items there; also in the quick tips section of my FAQ tell you what app to use to add android apps to default nook home launcher.
BTW just checking when i opened the netflix app you get some links there to open browser but if its crashing then you probably have to start from scratch 'cause that's not normal behave anyway.

Had the same thing happen to a friend's NT that I had rooted for him, and besides all that you mentioned "Button Savior" was there but didn't do anything. You are pretty much stuck.
I ended up having to do the 8+ factory resets and re-rooting, and then restoring everything from TiBackup. At least once you have the drivers working on your computer it's really not that big of a deal. I read somewhere that it might be related to "Homecatcher" but not sure about that.

Does anybody know why I can't get all webpages to give me a preview in the Chrome bookmarks widget?
I even have to bookmarks on the same website, just a link to 2 different forums...one shows up, one doesn't. Cant get the mobile or desktop version of espn to show up. Almost none of my desktop bookmarks showed up so i made some mobile ones and only about half show up. I've rebooted my launcher restarted chrome, restarted the phone etc etc.
Haven't found another widget where all thumbnails show up either, at least htat will work on ics/chrome. If anyone has any suggestions on other widgets too, lmk.
GS3 running Apex launcher if that matters.
i finally got apw's widget to work with about 90% of the links, i had to visit all the links in my stock browser and do the update thumbnails thing...i wish I could figure out the chrome thing though..
Anyone ever make any progress with this? It's very annoying. Also, the apw widget has to be refreshed somewhat regularly for me because it empties out, which is also annoying.
I cant believe its still not fixed. Unbelievable!

On JB 4.2 still no fix...
Un-fcuking believable! This is a major neglect, it's 1 of the 2 only widgets that you can actually interact with, and I can safely say that it is the most useful widget of all, at least to me. The key point and reason of its purpose of existence is completely absent. I'm going to keep my eye on this thread.
Can't get Chrome thumbnails on my SGS2 running JellyBam or my stock Nexus 10. I want it to be pretty with thumbnails. :/

With Google spending more and more time on fit and finish, I don't understand how this hasn't been rectified yet. It's unbelievable.
Maybe it will be fixed on the note 3

NOPE!!!!

there is a workaround fix on the note 3 or any phone for that matter
Clearing the browsing history has solved this problem for me.
1) Open a new tab in your Chrome app and press the menu button on your Android device to access History.
2) Select 'Clear Browsing Data' at the bottom of your screen.
3) Only select 'Clear browsing history' and press Clear. You do not need to clear your cache, cookies, saved passwords, or autofill data.
4) Exit out of Chrome and also kill Chrome's application process. On most Android devices, you can do this by long pressing the home button to bring up a list of active apps or task manager.
5) All bookmark thumbnails on your widget should now be clear. If not, then enter and exit a bookmark folder on your widget. If you do not have folders, then open and close Chrome. Basically you need to refresh the screen. If your old thumbnails have not cleared, repeat step 4.
6) Now rebuild your bookmark thumbnails by visting each bookmark from INSIDE Chrome. Visiting bookmarks directly from the widget will NOT work. Open a new tab and press the menu button on your Android device to access Bookmarks. Visit a bookmark and allow the page to load completely. Press the menu Button again to access Bookmarks and repeat as needed.
About 22 to 24 thumbnails will be created assuming after you cleared the History, you only visited your bookmarked pages. After a certain thumbnail cache limit is reached within Chrome, it will stop generating thumbnails for your widget.
Through many tests I've come to determine that Chrome is creating thumbnails of pages in your History regardless of the page being a bookmark. So if you visit 20 non-bookmarked websites, and then 10 bookmarks, only the first few bookmarks' thumbnails will be created on the widget. However if you revisit one of the non-bookmarked website and bookmark it, then you will see it on the widget with a thumbnail.
I hope this works for other people and that my explanation was helpful.
THANKS A LOT IT WORKS
You're a genius
I set my mother up with android by getting her a phone and two tablets. She only knows how to use the bookmark widget (full size of home screen, single page). Hopefully the chrome devs can fix their shiet within another year or two
I have Nexus7 with stock JB system and I often use it to review files with code hosted on https github pages. The issue I ran into with all browsers I've tried is that when the page is loaded, it remains in browser tab for sometime but eventually (maybe in a few hours), the browser "helpfully" tries to reload the page and if I'm online, it shows the error. I couldn't find a way to get the page to show again.
I'm not exactly sure if this behaviour is somehow related to github.com, or maybe to pages being https.
The only workaround I found is to use 'save pages' feature in Opera Mini, but it's awkward and takes 3 taps to save a page and deleting old saved pages is awkward, too, and I don't think there's a way to update the page to a newer version.
I've also tried some 'save pages for later' apps but they don't work with https pages.
All I really want is a very simple behaviour: load the page, keep showing it in offline mode and allow me to reload in online mode. Even better, it would be great if the browser could be set to load the page from cache when clicking on a link in offline mode.
Any help / hints appreciated!
My vs985 is on CM12 (12-20150221). I first noticed this morning that in the dolphin browser, I cannot click on links to browse to pages. If I do, nothing happens. However I can long click on links to open a menu showing "open in new tab, open in background etc.". I can also click and type in the address bar, but for example when I pull open the dolphin menu, I cannot select anything in the menu! I thought it was just dolphin but weird clicking behavior seems to be happening in other apps. For example in the Amazon app, I can search but cannot click on any products to see details. Firefox seems to work more (I can click on links). This was working fine over the weekend so I am confused. Youtube, Gmail seem to work fine. Could it be some kind of bug that only effects certain types of web displays like that might be behind the scenes in Amazon app and Dolphin? I've searched around but cannot find anything similar reported. I will continue to test....
UPDATE: I thought I had rebooted, but had not, anyway this seems to have fixed.... weird....
Hello,
I am using LG ZERO and have disabled most apps and Google apps. I use ApkPure to install apps and have a problem with internet browser that supports custom adblock filters.
I have tried Via and Lighting browser and it seems that each time I update and use EasyList, soon as the page loads or I cancel it, it becomes blank. This also happens with Fanboy's Annoyance filter and some other but most of them are working fine. I wouldn't know the issue and couldn't find anything online. Please help.
Thank you for your time
Tried factory reset and only installing Via, it still shows blank page after finished or skipped loading when EasyList filter is updated.
