I want to develop CDMA roms.... where do i start? - Touch Pro, Fuze ROM Development

So i've flashed a couple of roms on my new touch pro... i'm a little satified...the only thing is that it seems to be limited for the options that are available...
I am currently running a kitchen....
I'm really interested in developing a rom my self, very much like kitchen...

ROM Dumping Help Request

Hi Everyone,
I just got my new Touch Pro today here in Taiwan. It's all in Chinese and want to change the rom to English. I will be using RUU_Raphael_hTC_Asia_WWE_1.90.707.1_Radio_Signed_Raphael_52.33.25.17_1.02.25.19. I am a native English speaker and cannot read Chinese. I read thru many threads, but unsure what is the proper procedure. Can some help me on how to properly convert. I want to prevent bricking my new phone.. Lol.. Thanks Again !!!
As a friend, my advise is pls read the wiki if u need info. if u cant find there, then pls search, if still cant find it, then its ok to start a new thread. i'm sorry if u will get mad but we bored
Hi Monx,
Yes.. I would feel the same way... I am excited to upgrade from my S710. I really tried reading all the different thread but it's coming confusing since it's seems not all threads about rom dumping is alike.. I don't get mad since I'm asking for help. That would be silly.

Thats is correct. Some of us are very sensitive if there is 'HELP' word here. Maybe feel like we are helpful here . But really disappointed if the help requested is actually already a hot topic like Jcespi2005 thread which u can easily find it. OK, sorry again. Just want to share my feeling. My apology
The truth is that there is no any refference in the Wiki to the reconstructed ROMs thread... i'll try to create but i'm don't know if i can
Cheers
EDIT: Done, a new entry in Upgrading/Cooking section for the reconstructed ROMs thread http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=HTC_Raphael Hope helps..
if i'm not missunderstood, the main intention is to flash his device with english rom which which we need to flash hard-spl, and so on. btw, i believe 'dump' word will produce many search results. and sorry for this addon

Ask stupid questions here! Noobs here! Not dev topics!

This is a topic for all of your stupid questions to be answered rather than in the dev topics which is clearly pissing developers off ^^
Ask whatever here, just NOT IN THE DEV TOPIC!
First question: Why do you created this topic? You really think that noobs will post their noob questions in this topic? Noob is noob and nobody can tell him where they have to place their stupid question.
If you don't test it you can't say that it doesn't work
What's a noob ? ^^

You don't know what "noob" means?
Ya, noobs don't realize what they are. Think of the movie sixth sense

In french : "peut se traduire par "débutant" mais a plutôt un caractère dépreciatif => intraduisible quoi ^^"
But I think you are joking
Noob's question: If you port Android 2.3 on Wave succesfully, does will work ICS without problems? Need whether working with GSM, Camera, drivers again?
Sorry for my noob's english language
Noob question, already posted on dev but not answeared:
Is the GB a Cyanogen Mod version? I heard of something like that sometime ago in Froyo thread and never heard of it again... So when I say GB i thought it was it....
So is it a GB CM version? IF it isn't, why don't just make one? Wouldn't it be better?

When the kernel (drivers) are made then it works more or less for all versions.
The main probleme is then to port the new version and that is a hard job too (this is what Trigrouzen is doing).
I'm not a dev but I think that what I told you is right or something near the truth.

No it is a Galaxy S ROM.
Make a Cyanogen ROM is work and devs have to choose between them since it is a lot of work and that making 2 versions is not resonable as they are no full port for the moment.
I'm not sure but I think that porting a Galaxy S firmware is easier since the kernel is based on this device.
See! Trick worked on some more intelligable noobs lol
But those who are noobs that have sense ask here too! At least then there is less clog up in dev topics...

In fact CM7 will be very easy to run after we have a fully working kernel.

You can install downloaded apps and games by removing your battery. remove your memory card. now put your game files in memory card slot. and you are good to go..
Just kidding. dont take me seriously...
babonescu no applist here (against the rules)
You can install games and apps via kies

I think you are beyond a Newbie. (in formal language) I suggest you to learn SEARCHING. There is an awesome site for that! It's name is GOOGLE.
Please write right things to right topics.
PS: This is the android porting section. You can try other sections in bada stage...

It annoys me that me, as a noob, that I can quite happily read the first post of the Dev topics and not litter it with endless "when this, when that" questions because they ask you not to. Why can't people understand this? When an update is ready for release it will be said at the beginning of the topic. Stop asking questions and let the Devs get on with what they are doing, which most of the time they do FOR FREE.
If a free service to which you have no obligation slightly inconveniences you then you aren't really in a position to complain about it. simple.
Anyways I'm out, sold my waveII on ebay for a fair buck and now moving onto the galaxy W which looks quite interesting.
Keep up the good work Razyre! You've given this project the jump start it needed.

Your question goes to far in the future since the most important thing is to get a good kernel ( the Badadroid team is working on this)
For the moment Tigrouzen is on the way to port Gingerbread.
Then maybe later it can be port if the project is a success.
To sum up, ICS is not the priority.

[Q]New to S2

Hi there,
im new to JB Roms, since i had S-on HTC Shooteru stuck on ICS.So i flashed PA for start (on my new s2) and then started to investigate other ROMs.
Since i like ones with a lot of costumization options, the ones i liked the most are Vannila ROOTBOX and P.A.C. True All In 1 ROMs.
They seem to be very similar, so whats the actual difference?
Its important to me that the ROM is stable
thanks in advance,
all reccomendations and suggestions are welcome

If you read the OP of both threads, you will see the features of the rom. If you want to know if it is stable for you: read the threads, or try them out to test.

Where did you see him/her asking for the best rom..? Because I must have missed it.
Yes, i didnt ask for the best rom or such. I just dont see the difference between two roms since they seem to offer same features. I cant afford myself being out of function for testing roms because of some bugs/reboots or other ...so im asking someone who tried both of them to help me decide and tell me the difference.
And please dont try to be an a55hole here, i didnt ask for your help specificly here and if you dont like my questions please dont read reply since what you did just here is considered SPAM and is a lie after all.
P.S. Mabey you should watch a NOOB video starred on registration form here on XDA

Hello and welcome to the XDA forums ... First thing is you can't become a developer ASAP ... Since u r a newbie, I would suggest you to have a look at the android kitchen by SuperR ... You can develop your first working rom with least experience using this ..all the best :good:
Kitchen link http://forum.xda-developers.com/chef-central/android/kitchen-superrs-kitchen-t3202296
And ofcourse any further queries about the kitchen can be found on the kitchen main page

I have already used kitchen and I know how to cook rooms from it.
How to use android source to make ROMS
It's well complicated but i wanna learn it
If you can cook a 'room’ using a kitchen, then your next step would be reading and searching through XDA. Install Linux, find a tutorial on how to build a specific ROM like Slim, CM, or Omni, download the source code and build a ROM from scratch. Actually being a developer is a whole other story, for that, you'd need years of dedication and experience with the Android ecosystem.
Best of luck.
