Sandisk MicroSDHC 8gig card? It looks the same as my card, except for the 'HC'.
What does that stand for? And will it run on my phone. What class is it?
cheers all

Pretty sure HC is high capacity. Any micro sdhc card up to 32gb should work fine. The general advice is to pick the highest class you can as it reflects the speed of the card. Having said that I use a class 2 16gb micro sdhc and have no problems at all

if we knew this thread wouldnt exist... or rather the problem would already be fixed.
I have moved this thread to Accessories as it has nothing to do with Android Development.
WB
if u put it like this, almost no thread in the "android development" forum has anything to do with actual "android development"...
EMTEC MicroSD 2GB Class2 works!
I don't understand this thread any more.
If it was meant for "Which card should I use to boot Android?", then leave it in the right forum.
But now it is confusing, because the table isn't right anymore I think.
For example, like billnaat said, the Transcend microSDHC 8GB works with the Blackstone.
But is doesn't work for Android booting (waiting for SD-Card issue).

1st: ive created the thread TWICE and mods keep on moving it, so i will probably stop updating it, as this is not the point of the thread. there is nothing i can do
2nd: one user claimed that he experienced sd card trouble in relation to the flashed SPL, so if thats true, this may be the cause for one transcendent card working and another not working.
3rd: so long.
Thats sucks!
But for your second answer: The Transcedent Card was the standard card shipped with my phone So it should be weird if it doesn't work.
Simple enough,
Does anyone know the largest size external micro SD card that the USA T-Mobile Samsung Vibrant supports?
I'm wanting to buy a 32GB one, but I don't want to if it won't support it,
help?
EDIT: Does anyone know what class external SD card the Vibrant comes with as well?
I don't have one but others have confirmed it supports the 32 gig. Waiting for it to come down some more. For me its not worth it. Due to the size I have a small case I keep in my wallet and now I have 32gb lol.
Thanks! does anyone know what class the stock external SD card (that comes with the Vibrant) is?
BUMP......
the stock card for me was a Class 4. I assume it's the same for all other Vibrants.
I got a 16gb one for 36$ at Radio Shack because it was so cheap. If it supports a 32gb maybe one day I'll switch but the one I have is good for now.

My stock 2gb card does not have a class marked but thru bench results and testing, im guessing class 2....BEWARE!.....I bought a 32gb sd that had no class markings. It detected the sd and all seemed well untill i tried to play a video. You get what you pay for. NEVER buy an sd with no class markings! It didnt even have the capability to be used as "ready boost for windows" I now have the sidekick and swapped my 4gb class 2 for the sd card in my old lady's 8 gb class 4. What a huge difference in video playback (c2 vrs c4). And if you want to move apps to sd. Class 4 or above is the way to go.

My mom just bought me an 8gb micro sd for my upcoming birthday. Luckily it's a class 4. I'll be using it for movies and music.
There was a lot of discussion about external SDCards in the Nook Color forum because of the Nook's ability to dual boot and run a second OS from the SDCard. Many brands of cards and class of cards were tested. It came down to "do not believe" that a higher class card is really faster. Testing showed that a class 4 Sandisk SDCard was faster than all other brands class 10 cards in random read writes. In some cases by a very large margin. The classes are based on sequential read/write only.
I'm lurking through eBay looking for a 32gb SD card and they all say "Make sure it's compatible with your device".
What is the best 32gb SDHC card for the E3D?
Which ones work and which don't?
Thank you.
Usually when they say that it's because there is sd and sdhc. SD is usually up to 2GB and sdhc is 4GB on up and the Evo 3D supports up to a 32gb micro sd card which is sdhc. You should be good. Most sd and sdhc is seen a lot with cameras. Hope this helps
I'm pretty sure does work , most SD cards will work what they mean is about a 32 gb SD card working on your device or if it supports the speeds as well, old phones supports up to 16gb and didn't support class 10 SD cards
If you don't have an Evo3d well you don't have an Evo3d
Be careful!
A lot of Ebay cards have turned out to be fake 32GB cards. You do get what you pay for! Also, if you're going to get a 32GB, make sure it is class 10. And I would definitely test it for bad sectors. Unsure what the name of the utility is, but I know I've seen one talked about here. Just be careful.
Between this two microsd card, sandisk microsdhc class 4 32gb and kingston microsdhc class 10 32gb,which should i choose?
usage:1080p HD movie,gaming etc
Either or both or whatever is cheapest .
jje
I would rather go for sandisk, cos their rating is better than others. Their class 2 card outran class 6 lexar and class class 4 kingston by far

Before getting a 32gb MicroSD card, is the SGs2 compatible with that capacity? Just got the phone yesterday and I am in love.

Yes it is. In fact it'll take the new 64gb cards, though you need to reformat it as fat32 first.
Samsung S5 Manual does not indicate the type of microSD card.
Which does it take a 64 gb microSDHC a 64gb microSDxC?
or does it take either?
Is it the same for the 128gb card also?
I have a SDxC in mine and it works fine.
Haven't tried the larger one. Just the 64 gb card.

There are no 64 GB SDHC cards, so that should answer your question right there.
The S5 will accept 128 GB cards, ergo it can use either SDXC or SDHC.
In all truth, the SD Association nomenclature is Byzantine. SDHC cards have a maximum capacity of 32 GB. SDXC cards have data transfer protocol refinements and a theoretical max capacity of 2 TB. More important is the speed class rating.
You'll want a micro SD card that is at least Class 10 (10 Mbps).
Better would be a UHS Class 1 (10 Mbps).or UHS Class 3 (30 Mbps) rating.
For maximum performance or If 4K video is important to you,
look for a name brand, micro SD SDXC UHS, Class 3+ (30 Mbps) card.
And only the gods know if the latest UHS-II cards are usable in the S5 or not.
.
Did purchase and installed the Samsung 64 gB Sd card and it really was fast as compare to my previous installed SanDisk 32 gb.
