Wont boot past coloured bar screen (have olipro installed) - 8525, TyTN, MDA Vario II, JasJam Software Upgradin

Hi,
Juts soft rebooted my Tytn, and its not stuck on the initial boot screen (the four coloured bars).
Done a hard reset back to fatory defaults and still won boot past initial coloured screen. It says:
HERM300
IPL-1.04
SPL-1.40.Olipro
Serial
Any ideas?
Thanks,
Ants

have your tried taking the battery out and leaving it out for ten minutes then putting it back in and switching it on? IF you are still on the triolour bootscreen then you will just have to run a flash of a rom on it. That should get the phone back up and running

If you get it running though, do yourself a favour and install Hard SPL V7... You're running an older, less safe version. More chance for stuff ups...

Very odd
Hmm, well leaving the battery out for for a couple of minutes then rebooting makes it boot properley, but if I soft reset then it gets stuck at the coloured bars again unitl the battery is removed for a couple of minutes again.
I guess I will have to try flashing it later, but at least I have the phone running again so I can use it today, wil try flashing later.
thanks.

Didnt last long
got stuck at the coloured sceen again no matter how long I left the battery out now, just flashed the ROM again (schaps, same as I have been using for a year OK), and still same problem. I cant update the SPL as even on the odd occasion I got it to boot, installing spl2.10 requires a reboot at which point it got stuck again, and I couldnt get it to boot before the SPL loader program on the PC timed out with a comms error.
I am wondering if it is an intermittent hardware fault like a stuck button, would that cause it to get stuck on the first screen?
Ants

bugger!
just opened it up and a switch fell out, its the one from the comms button (just below the power button on the right hand side). Not sure my SMD soldering is that good to get it soldered back on again, must have hit it somehow or a previous drop and its just finally worked loose etc.
Although I find it har to believe that a switch would cause boot to fail, surley it just doesnt make a connection if its missing, just as if it wasnt depressed?

Disconnect during ROM upgrade

my USB cord disconnected during a rom upgrade, and I can't get back to the recovery screen on the computer. My phone is currently in the 4 color mode (red, green, blue, white), how can I get it out of that to continue my rom upgrade or start over?
att 8525
Mine did that a couple times, I just started the process over again and my phone is working great
but doesn't the ruuupdater.exe have to verify that activesync is running so it can connect to the phone? the phone won't even load now, just goes to the multi colored screen.
I've also tried restarting the update program for both the 1.50 rom and the wm6 and both cannot connect to the device, because it is stuck at the multi-colored screen (which currently says "usb" since I have it connected to the usb)
Have you try a soft reset? That usually works for me.
how do i do a soft reset if I can't perform any functionality on the phone? not a smart remark, I just can't perform any actions on the phone, doesn't even boot up, like i said, only the red, green, blue and white screen appears when i turn the phone on.
thanks for your help guys.

Get your stylus and poke the little hole next to the IR near the usb port. Check your manual if you can't locate it.
I understand where that is located though, when I click it, it brings me back to the multi-colored screen.
First of all do you have HardSPL installed? If yes there are no problems...just run the upgrade again and choose the SPL version you have (and not the SSPL, cause it hasnt`t worked for me!) and go ahead...it will work!...at work I have a bad USB cable and in last week have failed to upgrade about 3 times...every time can resume from the begining withouth problems...

Primoz, that was the info I was looking for, thank you so much. I received an error saying the image file was corrupt but I will continue working on it.
Now I'm having an issue when wm6 loads (still have not repaired the ROM update yet), it hangs at the Windows Mobile 6 screen and does not go to the today screen, any ideas?

Major issue, phone turning off, please help

hey guys
had an issue today, traded a desire for a HD2 as i really wanted to go back to winmo (crazy most people will think)
Now when i revieved the phone i turned it on everything seemed fine for about 20 mins (note i never used the phone apart from make a call to test)
by the time i had left after a good chat, i checked the phone back at work at it was turned off, i plugged in the charger, the little notification came on and i left it to charge, an hour later after a meeting i turned on the phone, it booted into windows and then after loading sense it crashed and restarted then got stuck on the splash screen
numerous battery pulls and the same issues, gets into windows doesnt load sense, freezes and blank screen, when i battery pull and turn on 90% stuck on the splash screen
installed a rom from the memory card (stock) worked for 10 minutes same issue
any ideas?
do you reckon iv been given a knackered phone?
anyone? iv managed to get it to boot, but after around 10 minutes, it just turns itself back on, pauses at the htc screen, then reboots again and gets into windows, then 10 minutes later does the same, i flashed to the most recent wwe firmware from htc, after it managed to stay on long enough to sync to the pc
im stumped

checked already, found that on a search earlier, im now getting the phone vibrating repeatedly on startup on the splash screen
i think its a dud phone
please guys any ideas im all out
Had similar issue with my phone, random reboots after phone was working for a bit, stuck on bootscreen without displaying radio, partitions etc.
Called HTC, was a hardware issue obviously, the sent me a new replacement phon (warranty).
if you have HSPL
1. Task 29
2. when stuck in blank screen - pull battery out
3. bootloader
4. connect back to pc via usb
5. flash any stock ROM (not the latest 3.14 as it will change your HSPL)

[Q] Reboot Loop

Hello everyone, I am relatively new to all of this and was wondering if anyone can help me with an issue I am currently having with my T-mobile HD2. It was given to me by a friend because it continuously reboots over and over. It gets to the orange Windows screen and then dims and restarts. I have looked all over and can not find a solution to this problem. So far I have soft and hard reset the phone. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
For those wondering there has been attempt to add a custom rom onto the phone. It is basically a standard version of the HD2.
-Vash05
I had the same problem but it complete restarted after a several loops. When it didnt, HardReset. Then the problem disapear after the new rom 3.14.
check for bent battery pins.....
I have checked the battery pins and they appear to be fine. There aren't bent in any odd way. I have also allowed it to loop until the battery failed on me. The screen at which it reboots on says
"Preparing your phone for first use. The Today screen will be displayed when this process is complete."
It also has a loading bar on that bottom that makes it about 5% through before rebooting again. I took the phone to a so called repair shop but the worker told me that it is an operating problem and that nothing can be done. Is there any truth to that statement?
there is a very small chance that the reset loop could be caused by overheating,
nevertheless, if you're out of other ideas, try putting your phone in the fridge for 10-15 minutes before turning it on

[Q] Help please !! frozen at "stick together screen"

Hi all, 1st off, this forum is amazing. Please provide your input.
My device: HTC HD2 from Tmobile STOCK, out of the box, no mod has been done.
Problem: frozen at "stick together" screen for unknown time
Situation: the phone was used for 2-3 weeks, then sat in the box for approx 6 month.
Attempts: during all my attempts i didn't have the SIM CARD installed.
1/i tired to do factory reset, the 1234 then pressed yes -> frozen at sticktogether screen. took out the battery. then
2/Called Tmobile help support, we did hard reset by holding the volup and voldown plus power button, after I got to the animated screen.....stuck at "stick together"
3/Tmobile tech told me to take out the battery again, take out the micro sd card, and start the phone normally ....guess what ? stuck at stick together screen !!!! at this point, i was like **** should have not given away my iphone4
4/ while being stuck, the tech guy told me to use a pinpoint pen to activate the little yellow button next to microsd card, the device kinda turn off, then again ...stick together appeared. I thought to myself, i should have stuck with my Iphone4.
turning point: So, anyway, took out the battery, then turn on the phone normally, of course stuck at stick together...then let it sit for about > 3 hrs while watching "RED" from redbox...haha i came back, the phone logged in , kinda like the fresh start from out-of-the-box setting. I went through the initial tutorial, and all that good stuff. Seem to be functional. I turned the phone off, then do the vol down, and power button to check SPL version, mine is 2.4.1000000 or sumthing like. then it stuck at the tri color screen. took out the battery, then started the phone ...GUESS what ? stuck at stick together again.....I feel miserable.
I have two option,
1/ is to send the device back to tmobile and have them replace it.
2/ writing this thread and hopefully someone knows what's going on !!!

Phone broken - eternal loop of HTC/Windows Phone screen - any fixes?

My phone was working fine earlier, sent a text off, went to write another one, pressed the search button by accident and then the screen froze, wouldnt respond to any touch at all. Tried turning the screen on and off for a bit, volume was still working etc, in the end pulled the battery. Phone restarted, managed to get it to the normal lock screen (where it had my alarm/activities for the day displayed) but again, unresponsive to touch. Pulled again a few times and the same thing happened so I decided to leave it, figured maybe the heat/humidity here (on holiday in India) had wreaked havoc with some component.
Anyways, restarted again 30 minutes later and this time couldn't get past the windows phone screen -as soon as that loaded, it reset the phone and got stuck in a neverending loop. Held up and down together and got to the screen I think is called SPL (never bothered with any of the rooting stuff)
However, the TOUCH simply says "TOUCH NONE". So obviously theres a problem there. Everything else is the same.
I tried disabling/enabling the HTC log/modem bridge but that didn't help and did a reboot and factory reset a few times but that didn't help either. Now Ive got the device hooked up to my laptop, changed from serial to USB but I don't know what (if anything) I can do in this state?
I tried earlier holding down to put it into zune mode, it completed restoring the version but then as the zune software restarted the phone, it went back into the endless cycle - the zune software was still waiting for it to reconnect again to complete the process, but obviously I couldn't get it that far.

Hold down the volume up and volume down at the same time while hitting the power once you see the white screen you can let go of the power; in green lettering you're going to see the SPL, for most of us its 2.05.160023. This is the bootloader screen, everything there is done by the volume toggle, no touch screen here. Your phone is stock which means you won't be flashing like we customized folks do so let's start with the SPL, what is it and by some chance is it HSPL'd?

berrywr, TOUCH NONE on SPL screen means either corrupted touch driver or dead touch screen.
