I ordered a case from these guys and gotta say it is the nicest case I have purchased for any phone.
It was really nice to pick your own leather, color, inside material and color, get it emobssed, etc.
I have nothing to do with them so this is just my opinion.

Yes it's called EASECASE, I ordered mine a few days ago and I'm still waiting for it in the mail. How long did it take from the day you ordered it to the day it was delivered to you? Ordered mine on AUG. 18th and it was yesterday that it left HKG!
Post some screen shots of your case.
I agree. I'm on my second one of these. The first was for my HTC Touch HD with the belt clip. I found that after some time the clip lost it's tension and would easily be pulled up and off my belt by my jacket etc. I was constantly touching it to make sure it was still there!
My second from this maker is for my new HTC Touch Pro2 and has the belt loop fitted. This is much more secure but is a pain having to swap it over after work when I get home and change.

I ordered it on August 22. 2009 and I must have gotten it on September 4th.
I went with black with an olive pig skin suede for the interior.

Wow, you ordered yours 4 days after me and ended up getting yours before me. Oh well, it's well worth the wait!
Thanks for the shots. I will post some shots of mine here when I get it. ...whenever that is.
EDIT: I just looked up my case on USPS.com and it's suppose to be delivered to me tomorrow. Since tomorrow is Labor Day, USPS will not be delivering any mail.
I ordered one from them too, they shipped it out on August 31st via registered Air Mail, they said 6-14 working days to get it, so it should be here either this week or next. This is the one I got-
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...:X:AAQ:US:1123
I got these options-
#. Type code: EC-HTC-Touch Pro2-D2
1. Outer leather: EM cowhide black 03
2. Lining leather: Pigskin suede black
3. Closure: Two hidden magnets
4. Belt clip:Belt clip D
5. Personal words stamping-M.W.C
Edit-Heavy, did you get a tracking number with yours? I just got the shipping email, no tracking number.
Yeah, send a PM to the seller to give you the tracking number. That's what I did.

I got one for my TP from here - best case I ever had - now thinking of it for my new TP2.
Hmm I'm thinking of getting the A5 because I don't want to constanly flip open a strap when I want quick access to the phone...
Got my case today, I will post pics later.
Cool, I'm looking forward to it! I sent a message to the seller about a tracking number, but no reply yet, I don't expect one until this evening when it's mid morning in China

1. Outer leather: Nappa cowhide black 02

3. Closure: Two hidden magnets
4. Belt clip: Belt clip D (W/ finger push up hole)

So I just ordered mine today with Nappa black and olive PigSkin and the B beltclip. Looks Like a very nice product.. So does it look as good in person as it does in pics i.e. quality wise? I mean does it feal like it will last a while (Durable)?
Feels great and def. looks as great as the pics. BUT I have NO idea if it's real genuine leather!!! I sniffed it, but then sniffed my wallet which IS genuine leather and they smell different. My wallet has a real leather scent, but the case smells ...NEW! I can't really tell if it is or not. Lol
You ordered the pigskin suede. I wonder what's the difference between microfiber and the pigskin. Besides one is pigskin and microfiber suede. One last longer then the other or is it just the feel of it?
I sent the seller a PM asking if it is. I hope he says yes!!! Then we will def. know that it is durable.
I personaly think pig skin feels better and I think it last longer the microfiber (but thats just me) I have and old case with Microfiber and its all worn. Or I think its Microfiber.
Hopew he saihs its genuin leather too..
Just ordered an A5 in Nappa brown with Olive green pigskin. Looking at these pictures, I'm pumped for the final product.
As far as durability between suede and microfiber, in my limited knowledge of fabrics I do believe that natural leather suede is more durable than its synthetic microfiber counterpart. wikipedia seems to agree. As an added bonus, chamois are always made of natural leather and are regarded as the most non-abrasive material to use when washing/drying a car! Hope this helps you.
Well, mine's in the US now, it was processed through Jamaica, NY this morning, so I will have it by the end of the week, I'm stoked! I wonder why it went frrom Hong Kong to NYC though, now it's got to go all the way west to CA after probably flying over it on the way east, double back lol, I wonder why it didn't just come in to San Francisco or Oakland (I live 120 miles northwest of SF in Mendocino County). No worries, it's a comin' now!
My order-

When I bought my HTC Advantage 4 1/2 years ago there was no decent case for it anywhere - like the Note it has a large screen (5") and unlike the Note a very large body. I found Nutshell (a.k.a. Tough-as-Nuts) and their line of cases - built like tanks, literally with gun holster components including heavy leather and heavy-duty belt clips. We had a long discussion about it here, including pics http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=344605 . It ended up being the only case most XDA members bought.
Fast forward to today, now that I have my Note on pre-order my first stop was to check out the Nutshell offering for the Note. This is the one I found:
http://tuff-as-nuts.com/Samsung-Galaxy-Note-belt-case.aspx
I also happened to find an old post offering a discount, which I didn't know about when I ordered my other case. This offer may not even be valid:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=259275
I haven't ordered the case yet, I want to see how well the Note fits into my Advantage case first - it will fit the height and width but the Advantage case may be too roomy for the thickness since it is twice as thick as the Note. If I do order one I'll report back here with pics and a fresh review.
Edited 4/12. Case arrived today, ordered on March 26th (I used the "tuff02" 10% discount code mentioned below). Just as well-built as my old case, even stronger because they now build in something flat and hard into the back wall. By putting the phone into the case with the screen facing inward the screen will be fully protected. I ordered the pen loop option this time. I always carried one inside my last case but that phone was so thick there was room next to it. As I figured, there isn't enough room for a pen next to the Note - too thin. I'm not complaining.
In the last picture you can see a bump under the leather below the metal clip. That, along with the lower lip of the clip, keeps it on your belt no matter what you do.
I'm still looking for a case for mine and came across your post; thank you for sharing. I'm still gonna do some more looking, but this one is now on my list as a possibility (that is if they take them off hold and actually start making them).
FYI...
I tried the coupon code "tuff01" in the thread you linked to and it showed up 5% savings. For the heck of it I tried punching in "tuff02" and it shows 10% savings.

Sweet! I'll be sure to use that.
This case is awesome. I also got one for my MDA, still looks like new.
Quick update, I noticed they removed their placeholder page for the Note case (the 2nd link in my 1st post above). I've emailed them to find out which of their cases would be best. I looked at this chart to match up to the Note's specs (146.85 x 82.95 x 9.65mm):
http://tuff-as-nuts.com/beltcasessizetable.aspx
At first glance their case #215 would work - it appears to be the right length and width, but it has twice the depth as it should for the Note so it would flop around. Then I noticed case 270 right above it is the very one I already have for my Advantage and I already know that case is the right height, but too wide and again way too much depth. So that would mean 215 would be too long! I'm not spending $60 and waiting 2 weeks to find out it won't hold the phone securely. If I hear back from them I'll report back.
I am currently using a NutShell case I got as a freebee back at one of the PPC expos it is a very good fit (I do have the Samsung flip cover on it). The design is their basic case with the notched corners and no clip (leather slip panel the belt goes thru)
Cheers
BR
I received a reply from the company:
Almost there
Still awaiting final asset approval.
http://tuff-as-nuts.com/Samsung-Galaxy-Note-belt-case.aspx
So the placeholder page is back, and it says they are taking preorders if you are interested. I may make an order today.
Thanks for the info, techntrek. Please post if you hear anything. I'm a former (heck I still have it) Advantage owner looking into the note now, and one of the first things I'm looking at is a belt case like I used to love back then!
- I also sent you a pm. Interested in comparisons for former Advantage users to compare against the Note.
I had an Advantage. What questions do you have?
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I717 using xda premium
Thanks for the reply, but too late - I bought the Note a week ago. Loving it except for battery life problems (which I'm researching again now!)
Yup, we had a nice conversation comparing the Advantage to the Note.
Glad to hear you got one.
BTW it looks like this case is now available. Getting ready to order, using the "tuff02" discount code.
Just ordered, may take up to 2 weeks for delivery.
I've been wearing my phone on my belt for more years then I can remember - but since I had nothing for the Note up front, I've been carrying it loose in my pocket (with screen protector & ultra-slim bumper case) for a week.
..and I might stay this way for a while. I was always catching my case on things before. I was also hoping the vibration would be easy to feel in the pocket, but this past weekend proved the vibration isn't strong enough.
Might switch back to a belt pouch later, but going to stick with this way for a while & see. Be sure to post reviews of the Tuff case when you get it!
Ditto, I've been trying it in the pocket for the last 5 1/2 weeks, also hoping I could get away from the pouch. But it was always hard getting it out, so I'm back to a pouch. I agree it is surprisingly hard to feel the thing vibrate even when its sitting right on your leg.
Updated post #2 with a full review, including pictures.
Two things I would change so far. I never used the D-ring on my old case, and never will on this one. I should have asked them to leave it off. Looks like it will be easy to remove with a razor blade.
I'm glad I got the pen holder/loop, but I should have asked them to put it on the BACK edge, and since I always wear it on my right hip, to put it on the side that faces rear (the right side as you face the back).
Some things for you to consider if you order one.
Nut case for Galaxy Note
This is my 2nd tuff-as-nuts case. My first outlived all of my 3 iPhones. It is still in almost new condition in my drawer. This is the nicest hip holster I have found. I have tried several. The clip will never break. The fit is very snug for the first week or so and then it loosens up. I am very happy with this case ever though it is expensive. I got chocolate leather with belt clip and full magnetic flap.

Thanks for valuable info re: cases w/beltclips - will the phone fit with the candy shell over it??
The fit is VERY tight with no cover. They design to the factory specs and go slightly smaller, counting on the leather to stretch a little.
They will make custom versions for a small extra charge, or you could compare all of their models by size (look for the link on the left side of their home page) and pick one that is slightly larger. The one they originally made for the Advantage is probably the one you'll need. If there is any wild chance you live in central MD you could try my old case and buy it from me if it works.
If you have or found a good case, post it here.
I bought the official case from TMO. It's a little pricey but provides excellent protection. As a matter of fact, the faucet in my bathroom leaks and I left my tablet on the counter one night. I woke the next morning and my tablet was sitting in a puddle of water that extended halfway up the case. Took the case off, wiped everything down, and plugged it back in. Worked fine. Even the liquid indicator was still white.

Ditto on the TMO case.. seems $20 too high, but honestly a pretty good hunk of hardware for your tablet. I will have one spare once I have my tablet mounted into my car dash..

Another vote for the TMo case and you are right about the price but you can buy it off Ebay for about $20 less unless you are like me and want it right now.

The brand is Incipio and I purchased mine from a TMo store for like $50. I had seen the same one on Ebay for half the price but I didn't want to wait. I checked Ebay and the case is no longer listed. I also looked on the Incipio web site and they don't even list it. I don't have a picture but the case is black and the tablet kind of snaps down into the bottom part of the case. You can open the case(it is held closed with an elastic strap) and you have three positions that the tablet can be set into. They range from a fairly good tilt to darn near upright. I have found the case to be quite nice and it really doesn't add much to the overall size. Hope this helps.

On the second picture, you can see bubbles in the microfiber. That's the glue separating because I got it wet.
I bought on ebay a smart cover like this from the auction 170821966479. It's thin, good protection and a good stand. I am very happy with it.
The TMO case is so popular in the US, but outside there are two options: universal 7 inch case or a not so bad case designed for the media pad. Search for t-mobile springboard case on ebay.
I bought a cheap-o case off eBay for $16. Listing was questionable as the sellers account was terminated the day after I bought it. I still got the case this morning after 3 weeks though. 2 problems with it. It's a little too thing for the springboard, so the outside edge around the display doesn't quit fold over all the way and sticks up. Secondly, the hole for the front facing camera is slightly off and the camera just barely peeks out from it.
Might not stick with the case though. Without the case I've always been able to stick it in my back pocket (slacks or jeans) and walk around with it to a few places, lunch breaks, dog walks, etc. With the case its a no go.

Yes, I have also found this one on eBay. I have ordered it (the same colour like lilaliend). But it never arrived (I got my money back). Fortunatelly!!
After the first attempt with eBay, I have decided to invest a bit more money and ordered a leather case from PDair:
qqq.pdair.com/index.php/ebook-reader-tablet/huawei/huawei-mediapad/leather-case-for-huawei-mediapad-book-type-black.htmk
(in the URL please replace qqq with www and htmk with html)
You can buy it directly from PDair for $80. This is quite a lot of money. But PDair's reseller for Middle East sells the same case ("book type") for $60:
tbeyond.com/leather-case-for-huawei-mediapad-book-type-black-p-14363.htmk
(in the URL please replace htmk with html)
Free Worldwide Shipping. Even though the reseller is based in United Arab Emirates, the case came from Hong Kong. Delivery to Germany was without any problems.
My experience with the case from PDair: The case is simply excellent. I highly recommend it. It is worth the money:
PROS:
- durable black leather
- magnets! It closes with magnets
- the tablet fits nicely into the case (in contrast to the cheap case from eBay - see post from lilaliend)
- all holes (front and rear cameras, USB and HDMI ports, charger) are precisely where they should be
CONS:
- the case is rather thick. They use multiple layers of leather (you can see it on the pictures on the PDair website). So the tablet is really well protected. But with the case you can not put the tablet into your back pocket...
TMobile Incipio case for Springboard has dropped in price
If you were to shop for it now on the TMobile site the Incipio case is now $29. That's about $15 to maybe $20 cheaper than when I bought it earlier in the year. ARGH!
I do love my case though. The only thing that's bad is when you are in portrait mode and the front cover doesn't sit nicely back when holding it in that position.
Marware Jurni
I wanted a case that had a zippered closure, for added protection. I had this case from when I had purchased the Kindle Fire. But I decided to see if it would fit the Springpad. It does, with a bit of sanding or cutting.
This is an option if you are willing to sand down or cut two nibs from the top two clips. Each clip has two nibs, the one you want to sand down or cut is the one on the right for each clip. I have attached some pictures so you can see the zippered case and the two clips above, and a close up of the cut. Mine is a bit sloppy, but hey, I'm not complaining. See pictures.

this is my combo "temporary" case and universal stand.
still looking for a folio-type case and I just got news that the local distributor here already has stocks and giving it for free for new buyers of MediaPad. :silly:
I wanted a case that protects the corners, could prop up the MediaPad in landscape and (!) did not cover the front (like some cases that cover the bezel around the display).
Turns out that this case for the Lenovo Ideapad A1 fits just fine. Only the hole for the camera is in the wrong place, but I don't use the Pad's camera anyway. Nice sleek design. Reeks of plastic/glue the first few days, but the smell wears off quickly and then you have a smart-looking case for your MediaPad.
Apparently this case comes with different names around the globe. Have a look at the pictures and see what's available in your country.
Hi
I'm using the EasyAcc Case for nearly a year now.
It fits great, exept the hole for the frontcamera could be a milimeter bigger.
I do not know, in it is available outside Germany.

haha,, No I meant that it would take ages to get here. lol.. I'm bout to pull the trigger. I like my moko case but I like these type of cases better.
This is what I've been looking for.
Ordered June 27, arrived July 6 (west coast)
Comes in a large envelope so it's not folded. Even in a thin, by now squashed box. Get a free cloth too. No 'off' smells to it.
I ordered black. The 'silicone' description does not exactly match my description of silicone - like some pen barrels, an Incipio iPod case or a Belkin Gripswell iPad case. It's got a fine pebble grain to it.
All the ports have openings. Power & Volume buttons are covered.
For the price it's great. Thanks NJ_RAMS_FAN.

Nice. I think my got lost in the mail. I still haven't received it and I order like 5 days before you. I just emailed them. Of course it comes from overseas but looks like it ships pretty quick.
BobjGear's are available here:
http://www.amazon.com/gp/aag/main?i...etplaceID=ATVPDKIKX0DER&seller=A3SQAI9BQY42F6
Picked one up myself.
Mine had a tracking number - it was spot on. Though it spent 2 days in SF. Unlike some items ordered from China there was no hanky panky here. This one did not say "sample" or "gift" on the label.
After a day I took it off and washed it with dish detergent, the feel to the case is now better than just out of the box.
Price is 16.99 shipped.

From where?
I bought XtremeGuard protectors when they were 70% off (I got 2 of them @ $1.50/each). They are pretty good, and the same material as ArmorGuard and InvisiShield. If you are looking for low price, I would recommend them, but they do not cover underneath the center button (they have U-shaped cutouts, rather than holes). Good enough until I can get the InvisiShield on sale. I do like the feel and protection provided by the wet-apply protectors.
I also got "Black Candy Skin TPU Gel Case Cover For LG Optimus L9 P769 (T-Mobile)" from Amazon (was $1.29 + 2.94 S/H). The case is slim, and slips off easy enough, as well as slick enough to not get stuck in my pocket or pick up dirt. They do cover the buttons with indents in the thermo-poly-urethane. The volume buttons work pretty well, but the power button is a little harder to use. It works for now until they develop nicer cases for the phone.

From eBay. I can't post link because i'm noob here and forum doesn't allow me.
EDIT:
by the way, if you look for L9's screen protector / L9's case at eBay or AliBaba, you'll find it.
I got the Case today, I got this on ebay for $9.50 with free shipping and its called P769 3 in 1 Travelers hard case holster. there are 2 color available white and black with a rubberize finish on it, i got the white one for now.
I really like this case, at first i was thinking of not using the Holster because I just want a 1 piece hard back cover for the P769. but this case and holster works really well together so im going to use both. the holster can be also a landscape/portrait stand for the phone. the case slide to the holster smoothly both in and out and feel secured when they are attached together.
Pro:
Fits very well
Ports are well cut
Feels great to hold
Good build Quality
Good price
3in1
Cons
rubber Finish might chip soon
No other color
Holster clip is not that strong
Nice!
Do you have a picture of the clip?
Does the phone slide out or snap out?
p.s. This thread needs to be moved under accessories sub-forum.
Looks cool, what is that launcher you are using? or is it rooted
I got the EZguard Screen protector for $4 (4pcs) on ebay and its 100% GARBAGE!!!
The screen protector is already scratch up out of the envelope, installing instruction is somewhat not clear... I read somewhere that it supposed to be wet install but still its pure garbage i tried it. i still got 2 out of 4 screen protector.. well its $4 cant complain anymore.
Im going to get the Skinomi or IQ LIQuidskin on amazon later. they got good reviews so i think that should work.

Nice!
Do you have a picture of the clip?
Does the phone slide out or snap out?
p.s. This thread needs to be moved under accessories sub-forum.

NO... maybe if you want the clip off it will be for good. yet there will be a teeth gear like circle on the holster. (that gear is for stopping the holster to change your preferred orientation)
Does this case work well? Anyone here tried it?
Optimus-T-Mobile-Hybrid-Black-Shape/dp/B00ASSP0V8/ref=pd_sim_cps_4
Paste that after amazon.com/, because XDA won't let me post links.
Also, the only screen protectors I see on Amazon are the EZtrash screen protectors. I have heard these are awful. Are there others that work better, or is it just a matter of waiting?

I have this case. It does work well. The "kick stand" will prop the phone up in both landscape and portrait orientations.
The case does add a little bulk. It has a silicon/rubber soft layer that goes around the phone and a hard shell that wraps around that. Should provide good protection.

Since this case was close to what I wanted: A "clam shell" case for the phone to put in my pocket, I went ahead and bought it in black.
The clip came off very easily. Too, easily. I'd be afraid to let my phone dangle from my belt with that clip.
Anyway, as you pointed out, there was a "gear like circle" protruding from the case after the clip was taken off. I carefully removed it and made it flush with rest of the plastic with a dremel tool. I doesn't look too bad.
Bought this universal case with elastic edges for $14.99 from Target. Magnetic front clasp. Phone fits snugly, very comfortable to hold or wear in pocket-feels secure (feels cumbersome on belt). Added screen saver for L9 from T-Mobile for additional $16 (believe). Screen protector was well worth it to cut fingerprint grease.
bought 2 of these phones for my parents and was looking around for good quality cases. Just thought I'd share my findings :
1) For my mom : Tech21 White snap case for LG optimus L9 P769 (refer to T-Mobile Website, shows middle camera hole) :
http://www.ebay.com/itm/151027412771?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649
2) For my dad : Body Glove case with stand (reviews in amazon are excellent)
http://www.ebay.com/itm/150992696200?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649
The two companies also have several other cases available for P769 (middle camera hole version), just lookup Tech21 or Body Glove Optimus L9 case..hope that helps for members looking to find quality case for this *mid-range-and-obscure* phone. Phone's arriving tomorrow! Cant wait.
Cheers!
I'm sorry I didn't see this thread before (It didn't even show in search) so I made another... Mods, feel free to close my thread.
Anyway... Here's mine
IllumiShield 3 pack screen protectors - $7.65
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=380614141569
My review: EXTREMELY well cut. Edge to edge protection done proper. Very easy to install. And they are actually antibubble.
Highly recommended. Ordered on a Monday, got them today (Thursday) - Ships from California
Future Armor Ballistic Case - $12.95
http://www.ebay.com/itm/281090273071?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649
My review: VERY nice. Feels nice in the hands. Only adds about 1/8th inch all the way around. The seller is also very easy to work with. I had an issue with the case (rubber coating wasn't correct in one spot) and she immediately shipped a replacement.
Again, Highly recommended. Ordered on a Friday, got it on the following Monday - Ships from New York

I too ordered these first... And also had the exact same issues you do/did. Needless to say, I sent them this email (coped word for word) and was refunded. Then I order what's in my previous post above this one, and they are wonderful! Here's the email"
After receiving 6 of these screen protectors, I must say, they suck. I was expecting to keep a few as backups later on, but no... This item is so ****ily made that I used 5 of them to even get it close. I threw the 6th in the trash, because that's about the only thing it is good for. I have never had issues installing a screen protector. Its normally pretty straight forward and easy. Not this product. The moment the backing is pulled off, the static cling attracts every dust particle in the known universe before you can even line the damn thing up. Even after lining it up...FIVE TIMES, the things still weren't cut correctly. But, I guess you get what you pay for, so my bad.

Not a skin person but just want to those small scratches away.
Hearing some people are getting a lot of abrasion style scratches on both the outside and inside?
I hear it added grip also?
How are you liking it? Was it easy to get the bubbles out?
Should have mine Tuesday.
Got white carbon fiber.
Wow these guys are fast!!
Easy to install and should help with small scratches.
Wanted to update but got delayed because I didn't get any response from Sopiguard?
After installing the skin the next day I picked up my phone from the kitchen and put it in my office when I noticed the skin had already scratched?
There was no force or impact just picking it up and setting it down.
WHat made it worse is I DM and emailed these guys and no response sisnce monday?
They said the emailed me but I didnt get anything so there customer service is terrible.
Save your $20.

Scratched upper top right
I received the 3M carbon skin very quickly. It is very nice and went on without any bubble issues. I noticed that it was missing the Microsoft logo, but wasn't sure if it is a separate sticker. The website shows the black carbon with black embossed logo.
Looks like the Black carbon does not have an embossed logo. You would need to pay extra for a cutout that shows the logo. Website pics made it look like it had an embossed logo. Not the friendliest Sopi customer service. Seem a bit sarcastic.

Funny you would say that...these guys are JERKS!!!
I sent them an email saying how disappointed I was in how fast the skin scratched and not even any pressure.
They responded back which panel so they could send me a new one...2nd email said $5.00 charge?
I said never mind Dbrand had already shipped and that I would follow up here in their shin was not worth the cost because it scratched 1st night and then started harassing me to the point I blocked their emails.
This skin is purely cosmetic and wears really bad with no stress needed.
Dbrand is a little more but so much better on customer service!
The 3M Black Carbon seems to not mar as easy as the white carbon. So far looks fine and no scrapes.
Liking the dbdand carbon skins. Very good quality.
I have put on a SopiGuard leatherette skin and it is a game changer because it is a little grippy. BUT, I am trying to get Latercase to move up the Duo in their order - especially as they would not need to create a mold for their carbon fiber cases - just cut it from a sheet. THAT would provide additional protection 0.6mm and, I think, not interfere with the hinge.
Go vote up Surface Duo on LaterCase - https://latercase.com/
