is there a ROM with WM6.5 and latest TouchFLO 3D?
I'm just interested in a clean ROM - no huge customizations and stripped packages and custom bootloaders and such.
HTC Touch Pro with clean WWE WM6.5 + latest version of TouchFLO 3D and Manila (I'm not sure what Manila is exactly - seems like it's the same thing as TouchFLO, dunno).
I'm pretty new to this so don't please punch me in the face if I sound silly
I suggest you to look for a simple rom without manla an install the latest geny manila package.

You don't sound silly. Especially compared to some others.
It sounds like you'd probably be very happy with the latest from NRG (see my sig for a link). Just delete the links to programs you don't care about, like all the dumb-ass widgets that Windows packs in their ROM, and you'll have the ability to go between Touchflo 3D (also called Manila, incorrectly...Manila was the older 2D version of Touchflo) and the "Windows Default" home menu, commonly called Titanium, Rhodium, and "that Windows 6.5 Home screen."

This is not true - if you open for example DotFred TaskMgr and you look at the running processes, you will see manila.exe. That is TouchFlo 3D.

Tried it but reverted back to latest original ROM.
This version was also too modified - too many visual modifications, additional programs and tweaks.
Still looking for more simple version of ROM.

I recommend Timolol's ROM: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=528217. It's simple, stable and doesn't have TF3D, but you can install whatever version you want.
Mate try this one, once he has worked out the issues I outlined.

I have tried most, if not all of the 6.5 roms and this one, a 6.1 rom with the new manila is looking exceptional! It pretty much looks and behaves like stock, except it has the new TF3D. And from testing I can say it is honestly the fastest rom I have ever used.

I would suggest you this one.
Extremely stable. You may want to flush the Lite version + TF3d cab, if you do not need the other S/W packed into the Manila version.

It's fast, stable, and very usable. It doesn't have TouchFlo3D 2.1 however, so you'll have to install it via a CAB file that you can find here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=542113
I've ran that specific build of Mystic Series for months and it's never failed me. It's very clean and doesn't have many extra programs, just a few "must have" such as the flashlight program.
It's a great ROM, and I'd suggest it to anyone.

It seems that Gen.Y Manila R1.5 doesn't have a cab yet, so I'm gonna have to wait for that first.
You could always install 1.1 and upgrade and/or hard-reset and install 1.5 when it comes out.

I agree. That one has a better battery life then the energy ROM and doesn't have as many apps preinstalled. Some people like this. People like me.
Plus it has a stock taskbar and so on...
Only one fix had to be added to this ROM and that fixed the manila positioning issue. I am really pleased.

hmm never mind but is it fast? and responsive? and what apps are on it?
It looks great, but one think is a deal breaker for me.
Something in the latest SYS or XIP doesnt allow certain types of software on fullscreen, and since they only work on fullscreen they simply crash immediately.
Like swirly, igo6 (v8.3 works fine, though), tcmcp (core player work fine too), quake or hexen 2 (these last two only crash on fullscreen mode).
The 3d driver rom and the clean black v3 rom also have the same problem:

Other than that, I loved the new USB to PC system app, that allows me to use the pocket as a pen.
Or the new Connection setup, that even has my sub-operator settings.
The task manager on System Settings doesnt open, but thats a minor bug.
The M2D configurator would be a nice pre-installed addon.
Also, a bootscreen and wallpaper with the dark dragon would look really cool also.
Its too bad abou that SYS or XIP bug, I really liked this rom...

Theres problably no easy fix for this...
The only roms that I had this problem (chronologically) was...
- the 3d driver rom
- the latest oficial htc rom (wm6.1)
- the clean black v3
- and this one...
So any other before the 3d driver worked fine.
But maybe this is the new way to go because of some system files, and i dont want to be the one holding back things...
If its a bug, it would be great that someone could fix it, I just dont really know what it is...

Clear Files isn't included in newer XIP/SYS anymore.
You can easy do an Hardreset by holding green&red Button and do an SoftReset

Actually I didnt tested it, but it did showed me the screen on the right:
I've been actually trying to make it work on Clean Black rom V1. but it doesnt work, even after showing that screen...
I tried:
- OpalUSBtoPC.2.2.18191228.0.cab
- MBarvian Opal USBtoPC.cab
- HTCUSBToPCPopUp_2_0_18172128_1.cab
They all install ok, but simply wont work, I can manually call the UsbToPc.exe from the Windows folder and that screen appears, but if I select disk drive, it does nothing.
I've also seen other ppl in this forum complaining that it doesnt work for them too... any thoughts?
Optimal Champious 23071 FULL Version
I will no longer be updating this forum with new builds. AT&T is sending me a Pure as a warranty replacement. Therefore I am uploading my latest 23071 Kitchen. It is fully functional and could prove to be a valuable learning experience for new chefs. Help upgrading to newer WM builds is plentiful and pretty easy since the packages are pretty stable. I will miss the Raphael forums but I will still be around. Thanks for your help and support.

I can't seem to get it to download. When I click on it (WM 6.5-21222-911) within Mediafire, it just reverts back to the same page.
Nevermind, after a few more tries, it is now downloading.
it does look good. Vaguely remeniscent of xECK29x's 6.5 theme. The icon set is nice. Now heres to being a flashing whore and trying out!!

This looks great. Thanks for sharing. I have a couple of questions:
1. Is there a way to use the standard 6.5 Chome rather than the oversized?
2. Will your notifications allow you to snooze like the 6.1 ROMS? That is, offer a choice of snooze times, 5 minutes, 15 mintues, 1 hour ect...
3. Just curious, but why use 21222? It seems like most are using the later builds. Do you find 222 to be better?
I finally have my Fuze set-up exactly how I want, but this is very tempting...

Edit 2: This setup and theme is really nice man, and 21222 really does scream during texting and phone operations from what I've seen so far. I came from Da_G's Clean ROM 21231v1 w/o MSVC - which was also nice; relatively few bugs. I only wanted to switch for the speed and possibly better battery performance. Your screenshots don't do it justice, it looks great!

The WM7 theme is cooked in. As with the Taskbar Icons. I had to do a lot of tweakin' to get those Taskbar icons working right with WM6.5. I basically took the stock WM6.5 dll files and imported a WM6.1 icon set I picked up a few months back. I forget the author's name but has lots of icon sets. I just made them WM6.5 compliant.
I've always used the HTC Dialer with WM6.5, but the bugs are annoying. It also seems to be sluggish at times. I opted to go with a theme default dialer because it is noticeably faster and also doesn't use 10mb of memory. Plus with this configuration, you can install any version of the HTC dialer you wanted.
The main goal was to keep it as close to stock as possible but retain some of the benefits of a few HTC apps. For example, the default Windows Mobile volume control is HORRIBLE. Also the Notification manager keeps from tapping those taskbar icons and getting the crude popups. The Notification manager also cuts down on notification pop ups that can be very annoying to dismiss them one by one.
I would have installed a better keyboard, but each user is picky about their keyboards. I typically switch between FingerKeyboard2 and PocketCM Keyboard. I've tried SPB Keyboard and Resco. Each have their pros and cons.
The HTC Comm manager could have been left out but the stock one lacks the Data and 3G switches, which I find very useful.
The reason I choose 21222 over the newer releases was simple; 21222 is awesome. Microsoft has several "Final Betas". The newer releases feel laggy to me. I released this ROM the next day I flashed it because of how responsive and speedy it is.
This ROM looks good. I was just wondering if you have updated this ROM since posting it.
Also, does it include MSVC?

No I haven't updated it at all but I plan to. HTC is expected to release a new Rom soon with a set of new drivers. New drivers are always fun. There hasn't really been anything to update it with. I have been tweaking my roms for quite some time but it wasn't until 21222 was released that I found a great match.
It doesn't include MSVC as I don't use it. The goal is to keep the Rom simple. Using the latest drivers, fixes, tweaks, and patches over the speedy 21222 WM6.5 = win. This rom is a great base to customize yourself that is quite usable out of the box. I use the ROM as is.
In the future I will probably switch out the alarm program with another new application as soon as the developer and I can work out the bugs (I'm beta testing now). I will probably also make the Windows 7 theme uninstallable, as some people like the original look better.
All in all, this rom is a GREAT tool to compare to newer ROM builds also. Have tested the latest 21725 WM6.5 ROM and it still don't compare. 21222 is very smooth and responsive, something I have high expectations on a phone of this caliber. All the bells and whistles aren't worth it if the phone struggles to make a call or send a message.

Would it be possible for you to post the cabs that you used for the HTC Volume, Connection Manager, Notification Manager and the skinned dialer? I searched around and there seems to be multiple versions floating around (actually, I haven't been able to find the cab for the Notification Manager at all).

A lot of the packages I use were heavily modified or a collection of files from various sources to get the best output. The Notification Manager was the hardest to get working properly. I accidentally stumbled upon the default dialer skinning thread and found a good base. Although the latest update reverts back to the HTC Phonecanvas for many reasons, mainly because the VGA Raphael skin works the best. I've tried the Tachi dialer and found that it wastes too much screen space and is too flaky for my tastes.
The new build is super sweet. The more I use it the better I like it. I just can't believe how fast and responsive 21222 is compared to all the other WM6.5 builds. I'm not having any problems with it at all either. Granted I've tweaked my packages a lot over time, but the combination with 21222 is fantastic.
I like the looks in your OP. I just may try flashing this tomorrow at work (Fridays are light days) and test it out. I also keep going back to 21222 as I find it to be the most stable build so far. Thanks for this!

Everything runs quick and solid. I am running SPB3 shell ontop and they mate well with no argument. I like the use of the PTT button, nice.
The feedback, I didn't think I would like it, however after awhile it has grown on me and has cut down on my fat-fingering.
I am on Tmobile with edge and have no problem with emails, mms, sms, web, it's all working great, and it seems to pair well with the latest radio release.

The new manila2D dont really work 100%.. cant send a sms from the messaging tab directly..
Showcase isnt very friendly as well..
A suggestion would be to keep at least the M2D from iolite? cos the themes dont work with M2D 2.0 as well.. :s

Im using this now and really like it actually, it works great for me. Only thing I did not like is that I didn't have CoPilot Live installed like before (added it myself now), and the Showcase is a pain in the %$^^, I prefer the old task switcher. Other than that it is great, thanks for all the work!

Hi,
I am using your last revision posted and am having an email issue, not sure if it is the firmware/software or my provider, Rogers Wireless.
It will randomly not connect to 3g (presumably Rogers problem), and will not update my email count on time (I have it set to 5 min, it sometimes takes up to an hour). This worked fine with my old firmwares. I have to manually switch to the email icon for it to update, and sometimes have to manually request an update. Anyone else having that issue?

serfer222, your rom have some problems in programs menu. Icons aligned weird, not by name by default. I have same problems with programs menu after cooking roms.
Btw, what you tweaked to increase ring volume? Iolite speaker is not so good as Polaris.

I had assumed it was built into this rom. I simply flashed the rom in the first link. To reproduce I do nothing, it just wont update my emails sporratically, and will either require a manual check, or I have to drag my finger over to the mail icon for it to check - it will not auto update mail. Other times it is fine and just terribly delayed.
I suspect some of the issues are with Rogers as they have been having problems with their data.
try this
1) open Programms -> ActiveSync
2) choose Menu -> Schedule
What settings do you have there?
If it says "manual" you should change these settings.

-default 3 row icons in programs tab and in all programs(i can find cab for 4 rows but cannot find cab for reverting it back to 3 rows)
...is there any cab or registry solution for these things i am missing......best regards

Amazing ! a fantastic ROM ; 28xxxx O/S is really sweet and this is a quick one...none of the usual lags that this build usually has.. Also been testing all day & not found a single bug - apart from the MS weather fast link having the wrong icon Windows live; sync; gps all work..

Found some lag in typing sms's.
Anyone else have this problem? I sms alot and typing speed is important.
Seems many of these latest WM builds have slow response keyboards.
I have disabled all 'vibrate' features but still lags occur.

Well after going from swedish stock ROM to WWE ROM I have always woundered if its possible to change the "(xxx) xxx-xxxx" syntax for telephone number stred in the phone book to the scandinivian style from HTC ROM?

Thanks, I will try it, cause I'm having some bad luck with roms, my menu is horribly lagging .
This is a very stock ROM so it shouldn't be any lag
I really-really likes stock like ROM, especially when Manila included, keep in going Sir..

Long time stalker, first time poster. I've flashed MANY roms since I found this place quite some time ago. And I must say that this ROM, flashed several days ago, has so far been the best fit for me and my needs.
