Hi all, I had a Diamond1 and there was an optimal size of picture of my contacts 256x256px ..., now I have TD2 and it wrote me this size is small or not optimal,... so what is the optimal resolution of picture that I want to add to my contact? ... 512x 512px ?
Set the Camera to Contacts Picture mode.
Take the photo.
272x272
Thanks!

Hi everyone!
I have a tiny problem which still disappoints me... I like that Windows Mobile includes photo contacts built-in support. When I take photos from the phone's camera in "photo contact" mode and assign it to a contact using camera tool itself, the size and quality of the photo is fine - seems like 128x128 pixels - and looks well on external screen. But when I try to assign some picture to a contact - either using built-in Pictures tool or Resco Photo Viewer - it comes out in very bad quality, seems much smaller for Resco's tool (64x64 pixels?) and very low quality for built-in Pictures tool. I've been crawling all over the Internet looking for a tweak that will let me modify the default size / quality setting, but failed. Does anybody know if there's a way to make Pictures or Resco Photo Viewer assign high quality 128x128 pictures to contacs? I'd like to see my wife's photo as beautiful as she is and not corrupted by some compression-driven artefacts.
Thanks in advance!
Try "Photo Contacts ver. 3.0"

I have same problem, please help
on the outer screen quality is poor (only on caller contacts picture)
The contact picture appears as magnified and very bad looking.
I set my contact pictures from pics taken with hero camera.
When I set a picture that I imported (taken with 10 mp camera) it is a little better - but not good.
I don't understand what is wrong & how am I supposed to set a picture to look nice.
The icon looks nice - only the calling picture is affected.
Hi everybody,
The caller id picture is really low res, even with pictures synced with SyncMyPix.
is there a way to mod this without using FullScreenCallerID?
thanks
UP 10 chars
umm , what?
I am looking for this option as well. Out of box pictures look really low-res.
Lol, I was ABOUT to recommend sync my pix, did you unselect the setting where it says it crops the image?
i actually have installed a rom with a phone.apk showing big contact images. means that they are streched to the width of the screen... all look bad, but some extremly...
i found out:
contacts, i added the pictures when i had a galaxy mini, have pics with 69*69 pixels
contacs, pic added with s2, have pics with 138*138 pixels
with myphoneexplorer i can add pics with 200*200 pixels (best but could be better...)
is there a way to get better pics than 200*200 to the contacts?
Hello!
I read that in 4.0.4 SGSII now supports better quality photos for contacts.
I'm busy organizing my contacts in phone and Google Contacts, and going to get to photos soon.
I would appreciate if someone told me where, in which format, resolution should I upload photos so that they would appear in the best possible quality in phone.
I mean - should I add photos directly in phone, or is it better to do it via contacts.google.com ?
JPG/PNG? 1000x1000/500x500/...? ~100KB/~250KB/~500KB per photo?
Directly, .png format, resolution as high as possible, weight of file dosen't matter.
I guess there's no sense in making photos larger than 480x480, because screen has maximum resolution of 480 px on smaller side. Anything bigger won't make any practical sense. Am I right?
Maybe, but I always choose highest available resolution.
