I just bought a NEW MWG Atom V.
It cannot receive sms after I reply until I turn off the signal (not the phone) and turn it back on. It's kinda a nuisance.
I try upgrading it to WM 6.1 but the problem persist...
Can anyone offer an advice plss??

Problem solved with this rom.

It's WM 6.1 with M2D. I tried using a clean one before and failed

i was using CHT WM6 before, and found out keep hang then i flash jigg 0.7.0 WM6

have bug then flash to
ATOMWM603CHT_FIXED -- dcoloane
Then using for awhile like 2 weeks
And the hang came, hang made can't switch on for few times
After I can turn on my Atom then I use Bootloader flash to
XDA ATOM WM6 AKU0.7.0 WWE (8MB PAGEPOOL) -- jiggs
Hang still here
Then bootloader flash to
XDA ATOM WM6 AKU0.7.0 WWE (6MB PAGEPOOL) -- jiggs
Hang again ~_~ , can't turn on my mobile again, so i need to wait until i can turn on again
So I am asking how come I got the hang
Any comments? I will try again when i get home (need to spend time to turn on my mobile, no idea why my mobile so hard to turn on after off)

try to remove the battery, hard reset. then after a while reflash WM6 AKU 0.30 again the fix one.

Bring it to the O2 Service Center in your country. Hanging regardless of OS version is usually a symptom of motherboard defect. Ready your proof of purchase to be able to avail of the warranty.

Can I upgrade my Atom V's WM 6 to WM 6.1? If yes, how to upgrade?
I too have a MWG ATOM V and would like to upgrade to WM 6.1. Or If someone can let me know how to do it, maybe take an existing WM 6.1 and reverse Engineer.

Well unfortunately the ROM developers don't have an Atom V phone to cook on. Maybe in due time PDAVIET may get a hand on it .
Thats appreciated, i think it is just more a case of people registering their votes for the Atom V- the more that do - the more likely a ROM may be served up.

Hey guys, i have recently did a experiment with my O2 xda atom phone and that is i downloaded a O2 Atom executive rom and upgraded to my O2 xda atom,and it is successfully upgraded and working fine with low battery and ultra fast performence....Dont forget to Thank [email protected]

I accidentally did the same thing, upgraded my WM6.1 with TJ's WM6.5 for Atom EXEC... (oops)
Suprisingly, It runs very fast, Iam very excited with manila 2D and the sound is significantly louder than WM 6.5 by khoa (very happy with this). I havent try the Bluetooth yet.
However, it seems that the display has some problem, looks like in interlaced mode (see some horizontal line/texture) and flickering.
anyone did the same thing?

That's interesting! Can you tell me which one of TJ's ROMs you tried or which of them are OK to flash on my Atom? Now I am using Helloworld's WM6.1 R2 ROM for Atom.

Atom Exec WM6.5 to Atom - did not work
I installed TJ's WM6.5 for Atom Exec on my Atom. The installation was completed, but when it was time to reset, my Atom is not turning ON anymore. I thought it worked on your Atom? Do you have any solution for this?

yupz.... it will Works.
even the official wm5 for atom exec is work for atom.
and can be flashed back to original ATOM too.
use only os+extended rom upgrade, don't mess with the other stuff.
the most important is... don't play with the bootloader (EBOOT.nb0)

yeah me too, i think the display is broken, but its not, WM6.1 TJ for atom exec not support for atom black, try to upgrade with WM6.1 by kumara

if ur unit works fine now, most likely it will stay that way. My unit had this problem from the start. So i tried flashing it. After flashing it with the version with the manila interface, the problem is solved.

maybe you could try to fix it by using the XDA Atom Life Network cabs, you can download it at http://www.megaupload.com/?d=CHLCFGVB

Sounds like mine. Try to twist the cover a bit the antenna has bad connection to the mb. Be careful !!! Do not destroy the display!!
Or search for a tutorial to dismantle the device and clean the contacts of antenna and try to get longer springs by carefully pull them. Good luck!
