I have a HTC Hero but I can't see even ONE paid application in the App Market. I bought this device from Dubai (someone got it from UK - unlocked version). I really want to have paid applications on my HTC Hero, but so far no luck
Can anyone help me with that? I tried searching the forums for such issues, but didn't found any proper solution/fix to that.
If you are in a region where Google have not officially "launched" the Market, you won't see paid apps. You need to use the market enabler to spoof the Market into believing you are in a region where paid apps are available.

at the moment there are also some problems with the market in germany, some apps are missing..
Or you can always wait for Android 1.6 (Donut)...

for your first problem, many people have the same issue.Me too
, i do not have any apps in the market that i can buy. This is because the market it is no fully enabled if i can say so in some regions. But there are apps, that can help you enable the market, try searching market enabler and you should find it.

this is because of google....they have not authorised the latest x10 026 firmware.
http://www.google.com/support/forum/p/Android+Market/thread?tid=125126d6ba9800b5&hl=en
it is very annoying and google's customer service is horrible.
I can't find my paid apps in my market 'downloads' or in the market (e.g - flight track pro, pure calendar widget ) cause of this big problem..what's worse is that since I had to reset my phone recently, I can't even install apps that i paid for!!!
I cant understand how a firmware can be out without google authorising it for protected apps. You would think SE and google would sort this issue out fast...but they are so slow at doing anything.

The main fault lies with google.....they should be sorting this issue out as a matter of priority.....but from their 'support' forums....they just don't seem to care.
The fault also partly lies with SE for not following up with google and pushing to get it fully authorised (for protected apps) before actually releasing the firmware.

frankly failed supported from sony ericsson and bad supported from Google too, in market ,there is no option to get fully controls and very stupid help options.
yes am checked update every time but already am worried about very important point , as we promised from Google, new update 2.1 will contained Arabic language as default built-in, but as i see till now, no one notes that so if it's not contain Arabic language am will jump to Apple directly
already am used Mersal for sms to write arabic but i can't view( facebook in arabic, all sites in arabic, write any thing out of sms in arabic) so feeling my phone frozen.
Hellow Everyone,
Im a vibrant user from Puerto Rico, and i know that some areas of the world, does not have the paid apps on the market.... There is anyway for me to see the paid apps?
I heard it was because of Googles refund policy and I'm not sure how well it is enforced. Try other markets like Amazon Appstore that have some of the same apps, might not be blocked.
mmmm okayy, thx
Have you tried market enabler?
emm no... i dont know what it is.. but ill try to find
Hi !
First, sorry for my bad english...
Cave has released Dodonpachi Resurection and Espgaluda II for Android but only in japan and Korea. To play them, we must install the GMO Gamecenter market and download them.
If we modify the build.prop to spoof a japanese phone, we can download the Lite versions of the two games and it works !!!
But we can't buy them on the GMO Market if we are not in Japan...
On the Android Market, a ticket to download them on the GMO Market is on sale. I have used Market Enabler to simulate a japanese market (with Docomo) and I can click on the price, I can click on "Buy" but after a long checking, I can'i click on "Accept and install" because it said I can buy this application in my country (France). Why ??? How can I do ?
Nobody knows ?
I am also curious about this... I figured out how to buy the app off of the japanese market place, but now it says my device is incompatible. I even tried editing my build.prop to something from japan, but still no success. Help would be much appreciated!
Hi, I currently own the Sony Tablet P Japanese model. The thing is that I actually brought it so I could play Crash Bandicoot on it. Well, to my surprise Crash Bandicoot was not pre-installed into it. It has a golf game pre-install in place of Crash Bandicoot. I was wondering since the Sony Tablets got rooted now, would there be a way for me to get Crash Bandicoot?
I am actually quite new to the Android scene being the Sony Tablet P as my first Android device, so I hope you could forgive me for my ignorance.
Crash is on the Playstation store and does'nt require root, here in the UK it was available as a free download but can now be purchased.
Hope this helps

Thanks a lot for the info, but I am afraid I currently live in Japan. I do not have access to the UK PS store. I have access to the US PS store and also the Japanese PS store and both of these stores do not have Crash available. At least since the last time I have checked it... f^^;
If Crash is on the UK PS store, I do have the option of making a UK PS store account... But I do not have a credit card or any other means into putting credit into a UK PS store account.
Could be a problem then, I have no idea how to get round that one, although I have seen other people in other forums presented with the same problem and have seen some very inventive solutions about account access - mostly in PS Vita forums - you could try looking here :-

Best of luck

Thanks for the advice, but I guess my question for this is that would the Crash Bandicoot apk file be different than the one that is on the Sony tablets? The reason I ask is because I seem to be about to find many Crash Bandicoot apk files and they are usually dated from before the Sony Tablets were released. (If I am not mistaken) I just want something compatible, I wouldn't like the idea of the game crashes or the controls are buggy. But anyway thanks for the info, I will give it a try when I have time and see how it goes.
i think those apk files are for play.... so the date are eariler
Hi All,
When i was recently in the US i was given an HTC EVO VIEW. I have now taken it back with me to the UK but unsurprisingly my Google Play application is the US version. I am using the same Google Play account as i do on my Xperia Neo which is the UK version so the account isn't the problem.
I have factory reset the device in the UK and the 'Android Market' app that is preinstalled is still the US version (and so is the 'Google Play' app that it is updated into) which means that some apps are not available, some say they are not compatible due to location, and everything is in $$$ instead of £££.
I would greatly appreciate it if anybody knows of, or could work out, a solution. I am a bit of a novice at this so a bit more of an explanation may be needed than the avaerage person on these forums would require.
Thanks,
Matt
