You'll get a different answer from almost every person on the forum, so the best thing to do is just to try a few.
If you want extremely fast, try 6.5 Professional Clean by Ham3r, or Scripted Angel.
For loads of features, try CRACING or X2H's ROMs
Or for something stable with Manila2D (TouchFlo), try Wizflo.

If you need to sync with an Exchange server over a SSL link, then NONE of these ROMs will work.
I have tried about 5 of the 6.1 ROMs posted here. They all have issues, and generally speaking, I'm not impressed with the quality.

If u want the cleanest ROM then Medkid's is the best. But it also has some softwares pre-installed.
If you wanna have your today screen resemble that of a Elf Touch then T2M's ROM.

The one I prefer is the PDAVIET ROM WM 6.1 CE OS 5.2.20275 Build 20275.1.3.3 by TranMinhMan.
It's quite a personal opinion. I like Medkid's better because of its clean interface. For the 'jazzy and snazzy' kinds T2M's are the best.
what is the best clean and fastest wm 6.1 rom with opal phone canvas? i dont want manila 2d..and installig phonecanvas on other roms make it slow specially in windows folder opening..i was not online for a while and i cant find a good rom so please help me

There is no good rom. İt could be changeable for one person to another. You will try to flash different roms and You will decide which one will be best for you. I am using qteks200 and WM6.5 5.2.21193 is great for me. Try clean roms if you want more speed.
I just got my Nike yesterday and I'm looking for a good ROM. But man there are so many to choose from...
I don't need bells and whistles (I can add that myself) but just a nice, clean and stable ROM preferably with WinMo 6.1 or 6.5

Choose her a rom, or try the original rom from HTC...

how clean are you talking? like barebones clean? or bones with some skinny meat on it clean?
EDIT: you do know that even if the rom is clean it doesn't give you more space to install apps on right?
yupz.... i want to use wm 6.5 with my own spec but i dun know how to cook them.... i've tried to download the kitchen so many times so i can learn to cook but always reach the download limits
juz need wm 6.5 like mitchy rom its clean enough but i found it a bit buggy, coz everytime i activate the autorotate and restart the rom i get the white screen and my phone hang... i m sorry mitchy..... but i love his wm 6.1 clean rom.....
