or any other reason?!?
I AM entertained now all right, please do NO more... 8)

First of all, this forum is awesome. big props to all. you guys rock. and i have read every thread of magneto and buz and i am pumped just to be in the same forum with you guys.
that being said, i know you have no real incentive to help a newbie.
So here is what i offer. If someone in LA will help me get my wifi card up and running.
A) I won't post any new threads for one month.
B) From an old movie i worked on, i have some authenitc photos of julia roberts naked (topless but still pretty damn sweat). I will post a link for this whole forum if my wifi card works.
C) ok - so maybe you don't want to see the photos
ok julia we know but your problem i dont think so
so we could help if you tell us what s your device or what your problem is
with wifi or something ....
yeah. Xda II. sandisk wifi card 000. It gets a signal when i reset it( sometimes 90%).
But the manual does not say what software to load on.
thanks for the inquiry

You'll also have to pry harder in step 5 than you think. If you're using a credit card rather than the sim card holder shown in the guide, don't expect it to be usable as a credit card again as the corners will be bent. When I had disassembled a couple of X10's last weekend I totally demolished an old Visa card.
BTW, nice guide for replacing the Micro USB port!! Maybe you could ask the mods to get it moved over to the general section rather than leaving it here in Q&A.
I have some video an other links here that may help.
And ALL this is thanks to Mckebapp for all his work (you are/He is the shiznit ).

This is an addition to your dis-assembly guide from a post that I did awhile ago 16th July 2011 Fixing USB PORT X10 Dis-assembly/Repair and two from McKebapp 2nd May 2010 Xperia X10 Disassembly/21st April 2010 Upskirt Shots inside --> X10 Disassembled. Although their are some parts links, and video links because you said that you had none.
It is always good to check the Thread search before starting a new one. I also asked for people to put links to parts in this thread so it could be like a one stop shop to fix your phone. Although ebay would not be a good stable place for parts I'm sure you would check there if you where looking.
Below is the link to my thread if you have any STABLE parts link.
And thanks for the help an sorry if you misinterpreted my reply.

It's nice to see Japanese G2 users like you in the xda! LG hasn't advertised at all so there must be really few people using this in Japan.
I've tested thecubed's IOroot10 and found that working only partly.
The docomo variant has advanced security measures. Locking the sh and remounting even in the adb root. Just as the Japanese LG OptimusG L-01E. See this post for the details.
The bluetooth hotplug method of the OptimusG didn't work neither.:crying:
Can you post the polaris office?
I uninstalled it

Yeah, I think there's not so much Japanese G2 users around here at XDA...
Good for you that you already tried some tools working on Docomo variant.
I really would love to try as well but right now I am enjoying the stock OS first...
For now, the only reason why I would love to root the G2 is because of the softkeys.
I really wanted to hide or get rid of them to fully utilize the big beautiful screen...
But since I am still enjoying the stock (and maybe still a little afraid to try to root),
I think I have to deal with the softkeys for now...
Anyway, I will browse the links that you have provided to get sore more info.
Thanks.

EDIT : About rooting
Place the ytiruces_1a in the attached zip , to the /sdcard. Unplug USB and toggle USB debug mode 2 times. Tada! You've got a broken adb root! You can just push and pull anything. Delete the ytiruces_1a in the /sdcard and toggle the debug again to revert.
The adb root shell and remounting is limited due to the TOMOYO Linux security which docomo has included, as seen in the /system/bin/ccs-auditd , which is not present in the other variant's stock rom.

Does japan version (G2 L-01F) have removable battery and micro SD card slot?
Hi,
My question about the japanese version:
Does japan version (G2 L-01F) have removable battery and micro SD card slot?
Is a device available in Japan with 32GB internal memory and micro SD card slot for memory extension?
Thanks.

Hi,
Unfortunately, Japanese G2 (DoCoMo) doesn't have the removable battery and microSD card slot as well
But, there is a small dongle included in the box if you want to use a microSD card.
Please see the attached photo.
Also, internal memory is 32GB.
(I am not sure if Au, another carrier, will release the same at the end of this month)

Hey there!
I'm an old iOS user and I finally decided to "convert" to Android, however I made a huge mistake in doing so in Japan thanks to Docomo.
I guess this is the only place on the internet to talk about the Japanese version of LG G2 (aside from japanese internet boards of course) so I want to start off by steaming off some anger on Docomo.
First of all, Quickwindows case, there's only 2 colors for the L-01F; black and white, and due to that the device isn't popular around here, there's aren't any great cases around on the internet.
Second, I had the chance to mess around with the Korean version of this great device, it supports taking pictures with the quickwindow closed, and in the Docomo version we can't (can we? ;o)
Third, again and again, what the heck is wrong with Docomo, why do they have their own Phone app and Phonebook? I understand they wanna force us to use their own cloud services and such, but come on.. at least give us cloud services better than the others..
Fourth, settings menu isn't tabbed, not a big deal, just wondering why.
Edit: Fifth, why the %$#@ did they remove the charger/cable and quadbeat headphones from the package? Seriously, what is Docomo trying to do here ;_;
And that's all folks for my rage here.
If you have any questions about the L-01F please don't hesitate to ask, I'm trying to study this device upside-down before I could start rooting and stuff. (ex-iOSer here:laugh.

that's the very first thing I asked to the person who handover me the device/box...
honestly, the quadbeat headphone is one of the reason I like to get the G2...
but, sadly, L-01F doesn't have that... luckily we have the microSD card adaptor...
(and I got a free 2mA charger btw aside from the 40,000yen cashback!)

As long as it is a legitimate Docomo device, I think they can unlock it for you...

go directly to the shops and try it...
if one shop does not allow, try others...
some shops are strict, others are not.
you may also try those small shops that carrying or selling not only Docomo but also other carrier's devices as well...
sometimes they are more willing to do those things as long as there is payment involve...
goodluck!
