So I created these instructional videos to help newbies out with loading ROMs etc.
TO ADVANCED USERS: I know that these procedures are not new but the instructional videos have seemed to help a lot of newbies and I think it would benefit anyone weary of attempting these procedures.
Please don't post how this is old news, I am well aware. These are just for newbies to help them get started. It also should help eliminate newbies asking the same questions over and over as most are answered right under the videos, and I'm sure you'll appreciate that
MODERATOR: Please sticky or add to any tutorial threads for the sake of the newbies.
Hope this helps some people out! Enjoy!
If anyone wants me to do any other videos in particular please let me know.

Good morning,
I do understand and appreciate your post... But I do have a question:
Apart form the HardSPL flashing process, why don't they/you suggest flashing both ROM and Radio via SD Card?
It is faster, safer and cleaner...
Wouldn't you agree?
Kudos to you, anyway. It was a good idea to post this video.
Cheers.

If you search on your error in the HSPL thread, you should find your answer.
@dcogen,
Great thread, thanks for your efforts.
Thxs that much, awsome
Good stuff. I am learning everyday.
Good to see these really appreciate the effort and surely for every one who does first time.
I am going to make and post a video of this to:
GTabUnleashed.com
JUST AS SOON AS someone can help me fully understand how to install and use NVFlash as it is referenced many times in threads... I realize that it cannot be that difficult... but the wiki is not very detailed and I want to be sure I do it correctly, then I can make a video that will save the dev's a ton of questions about it later!
please either link the threads I am going to need or just break it down, and I will pay you back in beautiful low definition on my blog!!!
Thanks in advance!
Please delete this.

Hey all,
Long time lurker and crack flasher here. I have a proposition for everyone here at our beloved Fascinate forums. I would like to compile a Master Beginners Guide/ Troubleshooting Guide for everyone here on the forums. I am more than willing to take care of this and plan on putting in quite a few walkthroughs/links myself but I would also appreciate it if everyone could help me gather up everything they can find and PM me the details.
On a selfish note, I have a new Fascy arriving tomorrow from Verizon and obviously want to get back modding and romming ASAP. I was wondering if someone could show me the best walk through for flashing current roms, installing kernels, installing tweaks, installing themes, a brief description of all the commands in CWM (i.e. Formatting system. partition, etc) when to do backups, do's and don'ts and any other general tips for working with a clean slate. Thank you all in advance and I look forward to maintaining this thread and cutting peoples search time from hours to minutes. Thanks again.

Hey
Is there any where you can recommend a full explanation of rooting android devices and also installing custom roms to the device?
I do not know anything about this, but have been told that installing custom rom’s is a way to go, when using an android device.
and I have also been recommended the CyanogenMod way of rooting.
I would like a comprehensive explanation and maybe also tutorials for this, for a complete newbie like myself!
Thanks

I have a Samsung Galaxy S2, running ICS
The roll-up sticky in the I9100 General section contains links to everything you are looking for.
there are quite a few links in that thread, can you please guide me as to where to start, i am a complete beginner in this field!
In that post, you should be looking for anything to do with rooting. Only 2-3 have rooting in the title, so they would be appropriate places to start.
Here is a thread that you can start from, my advice is just to keep reading as much as possible.
Also most kernels/thread have instructions in the OP.
